Great people, great food, generous portions and a wonderfully retro atmosphere. A Bronte landmark and always worth a visit.

Highly recommend the Halibut & Chips!
(I didn’t personally love the deep fried scallops but, to be fair I prefer pan seared if I’m ordering Scallops.)

The onion rings looked amazing and again generous portion! Trying those next time!

Portion could be a bit larger. Cooked perfectly. No lingering grease taste after the meal, that was amazing. Coleslaw was perfect too, just like "Moms"!

Came in with my dad for take out. It was the best fish and chips I’ve ever had. Service here is absolutely top notch. Friendly, kind and wonderful. I’m sad I’m not a local because otherwise I’d be eating here weekly.

Some of the best fish and chips I’ve ever had, really friendly people, as well as excellent service. Got the fish and chips special with an ice cream chocolate brownie, both were amazing! They serve regular Beverages as well as alcoholic beverages if interested. Absolutely no complaints. Will be coming back I forgot my fries!

This is what is a classic example of a mom and pop shop. Run by a freindly family, Bronte Fish and Chips is just fabulous. An old world charm, tasty food, and homemade desserts make up a perfect meal.

Best to eat in the dinning room rather than takeout. The fish is very greasy and heavy. This keeps me from ordering from here more often as we live close. Love the chips. Large portions.

Decided to try Bronte Fish and Chips a few days ago, got a bunch of stuff for the family. Never been here before but I saw a line up for this place one Friday when I was driving by and it’s been on my to do list.
We ordered a bunch of different things: halibut, chips, onion rings, gravy, shrimp.
All of it was delicious.
The halibut was fresh, flaky, extremely soft - as it’s supposed to be, with a nice portion.
Chips were good, not the best I’ve ever had but certainly not the worst. Could be a little bit crispier.
Onion rings were unreal though, they were made fresh, extremely good. One of the best I’ve had.
The shrimp were great too, can’t go wrong with them and they were de-tailed so you don’t need to worry about it.
Will definitely be going back to try more.
From what I could see is everything was made to order and it was absolutely delicious.
I didn’t see them on ubereats but they do take credit cards etc.
Customer service was great, they were very friendly. We stepped out for a few mins to get some grocery and came back just when the food was ready.
All in all great experience.

I will mention that I feel like $2.50 for a drink (can of pop, bottle of water, iced tea) seems pretty steep. That's over $2.00 profit on the drink alone. I'd justify the price if I ordered JUST a drink, but not with my meal.
EDIT: Thanks for your reply. As a senior on a fixed income I'm very familiar with how much the costs of everything is skyrocketing.
You mention the rising cost of cooking oil, fish & other expenses, which I realize is hard on small businesses. But what I see is that you are asking customers who choose to sit in you (nice) dining room to subsidize the meals that people take out. Sit in customers buy drinks, take out customers don't. The price you pay for drinks hasn't increased (well, not much). Seems to me that if your cost of halibut goes up you should increase the price you charge for halibut, instead of increasing the price of pop, or fries, or whatever.
Of course, I don't run a small business so there may be factors I don't understand.
By the way, I WILL continue to eat at your restaurant, the food & the service are very good & the location is clean.

Amazing fish and chips and we were treated in a very sweet n friendly manner all the time. The ambiance is soft, homely and cordial. Loved their onion rings and coffee as well. Our son loved the brownie too Definitely going to be a hangout place for us.
