Browns Cleaners

Was charged over $200 to have two pairs of pants taken in. Alterations upon trying the pants on were not well done. Pants are still loose. Was pretty shocked at how expensive it was. Would not recommend.

Avoid using their services entirely. To speak to someone about my order, I had to dial three numbers. They act in a very unprofessional manner. I asked them to pick up and drop off a comforter. They didn't even guarantee that I would have it back on the day they told me; it has now taken them more than a week to deliver it back to me. They are not at all professional, so don't even spend your time using them. I will never use them again. To find your dry cleaning, you have to figuratively chase them.

Went here for the first time and got some pants hemmed.

Was charged $20 a pant and picked them up in two days.

Service was done good and quick.

The owner suggested me the diamond serivice would be extra gentle, so I paid nearly $70 for my winter jacket.
They washed off the cover of buttons on the stripes inside, and told me it is very normal for those leather-covered buttons. The lady 'kindly' remined me not to send the stripes for dry clean next time. And i cann't believe she even asked " They are the buttons inside, why would you care so much? "
Wow, thanks a lot for pointing that out, I definitely won't use their service ever again.

Can I give a negative infinity review? DO NOT, I REPEAT, DO NOT bring your items here. They are legit scammers there, I obtained a quote to get my area rug cleaned, I went to pick it up and the bill was over DOUBLE, they said the quote the originally told me was wrong, and that I had no choice to pay for it. Worst experience ever, please do not go here, there are other good dry cleaners in Barrhaven, such a headache. NOTE: Oh, and the best part, the rug STILL LOOKS THE SAME!

Rude, and disrespectful. Do not go there to get stuff fixed. When you ask for something they usually say no or go somewhere else when browns cleaners can fix it.

Worst experience! Scammers, quoted one thing but then charged almost triple.made up stories as to why. Will never go back, like previous reviews have said do not value customers.

I have used the hemming service often at Browns as blessed with short legs. We were leaving for holidays on a Friday. On Monday, I dropped off a pair of shorts as well as a brand new pair of capri's I had purchased for holidays. The hem on one leg of the shorts was out and I asked to have both legs done, which reception wrote down on the directions. The thread the hem was made with was very fine thread and I did not want it to come out while on holidays. The capri's had a slit at the bottom and I told reception that if the slit couldn't be put in to the hemming job, that was fine. So, the seamstess only did one leg of my shorts to, and this is a quote, "to save me money", like I specifically asked for both legs to be done. And the capri's weren't done at all. Apparently, the seamstress was unable to do the slit so she didn't hem them at all. They said they called me but I only have a cell and there was no record of that call. It was a lie, I had no history of a call from them. They only do alterations now 2 days a week. I was a very regular customer and I will not be returning. I had to go on my holidays without a pair of shorts and a pair of capri's. And all this cost me $5. They saved me so much money.very, very poor customer service.

100 dollars for THREE pieces. The woman was completely unprofessional and rude. I will never go back. What a rip off.
If the owner wants to contact me, feel free. I would really like some money back and an apology for the rudest customer service ever experienced in my life.

Rudest people ever. Every time i’ve been here they’ve been the opposite of friendly just extremely rude to the point where it’s uncomfortable like they don’t want you in there.

This is the worst dry cleaners in the city. I brought in my dress to have dry cleaned - it is 92% polyester and 8% elastane. I had a drink spilled on the dress - whiskey/soda and it left a giant mark as well as some makeup stains. I brought the dress in on a Wednesday and went to pick it up the following Tuesday. I arrive at Browns and bring in my receipt with my number on it - the lady that was working there was not friendly, did not greet me or say a word she simply took my receipt and then charged me right away around $24 then grabbed me my dress. After paying I then grab my dress open the bag and notice that the stain is completely there the drink stain as well as the makeup stains. The dress did not even look like it was touched it looked the exact same as I brought it in. After bringing this to the lady's attention she kept repeating that the cleaning is not 100% guaranteed. "it is not 100% guaranteed, it is not 100% guaranteed". She did not seem like she cared one bit - she just wanted me out of the store since I already paid and kept trying to tell me that the cleaning was acceptable and that is all that could be done. I was incomplete shock. I did not think it was even possible for a simple drink spill to leave a stain when I know dry cleaners can get the most toughest stains out even on the most sensitive fabrics. Finally the lady said she will do another cleaning and told me to pick it up on the following Saturday. I arrive on Saturday only for her to tell me that the dress is not ready and to come on Tuesday and that the second time around for a cleaning it takes longer. If that is so, then what did you do the first time I brought the dress in? Unacceptable. I come in on Tuesday to get told that the dress is not done yet. A couple hours later I receive a phone call stating that my dress is complete. I pick it up and notice that the drink stain and makeup stain is completely gone. I am very relieved that the stain is gone from my dress but this entire process from beginning to end was frustrating and you can really tell that the lady that works there or owns the business does not want to be there and that Browns dry cleaners is just a complete scam. If you get back your piece of clothing with the stains still on there - please do not believe what they have to say be persistant and MAKE SURE not to pay in advanced before seeing your item after it was cleaned. I highly suggest you stay away from this dry cleaners it is not worth the headache. This place is a joke.
