Glorious place for dogs. Jaxx loses his furry little mind every time we pull in the parking lot.

One of the best off-leash dog parks in the Ottawa area. Everyone and their dogs are always very nice!

Awesome dog park, been going for 15 years and pups all love it and made some friends along the way:)

It quite close to where we live. It's our favourite place to take our fur babies for a run and play fetch. The trails are easy to navigate for long or short hikes, especially if you have knee problems like me. It's always wonderful to go there for nature walks, with or without the fur babies.

Best dog park in Ottawa. The recreational space around the dog park is spectacular. There is close to an hour of walking to loop the park if you get to know the trails. Well planned green space for the surrounding communities.

Generous parking. If you're expecting the bathroom to be clean, you are unfortunately going to be let down. That being said- it is an awesome dog park. Some spots of the park do have the fence down slightly, so keep that in mind. Or alternatively, the dog can run under the fence. But keep your eyes on your little buggers. A must visit for anybody with a dog in Ottawa.

Great park, just don't bring your dog if it isn't good with others. 99% of the dogs that go are great. Our dog loves it here

Amazing Park for the doggo! Just a caution though, if Fido doesn't have a great call-back, you may want to prepare yourself for an hours long search lol.
Easily your dog can get lost here, you'll eventually find them, but wow.
Its a massive park, so with that in mind remember that it can get busy. Very busy, and with that the pack mentality.

I actually do not recommend to just anyone and their dog. This is a specific type dog park that the owner needs to be comfortable going to and by that I mean they can rely on their dog to adhere to them. If your dog is not exactly that good at listening, I would go to a smaller park first and build up that call-back.

Not overly impressed. Small space. Too close to a major highway. Paths of sand is hot for puppy paws.

This is a nice trail to take dogs off leash. There are forested areas and wide open areas for dogs to run and chase and play. There are lots of seats and benches throughout for you to sit down if you want or need a break. There's a couple of water dishes near the entrance that people keep filled. The parking lot is full of potholes and is almost always very full, but it's a very large parking lot. The terrain is mostly dirt, sand and grass. When it's rained there can be a lot of big muddy puddles.

Always love coming here! Lots of little trails for our doggie to run and explore. He meets new friends every time.

Our dog loves her walks at the Pit. The people we meet are always very pleasant. Lots of different paths to take so we can vary our route.

Best dog park in Ottawa, lots of familiar faces, good energy, amazing trails for your pup.

Nice place for winter fun with kids. Be aware of trampolines! So many that it is impossible to ride without jumping

Every time my sister brings her dog for a visit, we have to go to this dog park. My sister is in love with this park. It's so much better than what she has near where she lives in Hamilton.

Best off leash dog park in the city.

Recommend avoiding the bench area and just walking the trails. (often the less attentive people let their dogs run amok near the benches)

On behalf of my dog, 5 stars for that! (4-star rating explained below.) It's a nice nature walk, but you have the sound of highway 416 throughout the park. It's easy to ignore, but it's there like white noise. But it's a great park for dogs to run free. The park is fully fenced (but an open fence between parking lot and park entrance). Part of the fencing was damaged by treefall. The debris was removed, but the fence isn't repaired and a determined dog would be able to make its way past it, hence the 4-star rating.

Most people there are friendly "dog people" and don't mind dog interaction. Some, sadly, seem annoyed by very playful puppy-type of play. Folks tend to clean up after their dogs - not much dog waste to worrry about.

Overall, nice dog-friendly nature park. Ottawa needs more of them!

Some experiences have been super, others not so much. Aggressive dogs and inconsiderate owners who don't keep their dogs under supervision (dog park rules indicate that dogs should always be within owner's capacity for re-call and dogs must be receptive to owner's call). Children do play in this park, especially in the area known as the "ravine" and winter sledding is common. Owners should be aware that even though this is an off-leash park they need to be in sight and in control of their dogs.

Large fenced in dog park with trails to walk on and a big play area. No water features like streams or lakes, but they have bowls in a couple spots if you bring in your own water.

Belle découverte! Plusieurs km de sentiers dans la forêt et dans des endroits plus dégagés. La majorité des sentiers sont sur du sable ou de la petite roche. Les chiens sont bien élevés et peuvent être sans laisse. Le sentier qui mène au stationnement n'est pas clôturé.

I love this green zone surrounding Nepean areas. People come over to bike, walking and dog playing.
