Some stand out dishes (carne salate) while others were well executed but not as expected. A confusing menu or perhaps the menu wasn’t clearly explained to us, service was spotty but friendly.

My overall experience was soso, the atmosphere was pretty good, i think a candle on the table would be much nicer. The service was not good, our waitress does not look happy at all during the full service her service wasnt good, our water was empty during dinner and we waiting 15 min and had to call her to refill it, during the 1.5 dining experience we were not asked if everything tasted alright or if we needed anything else which we wanted to but got tired of waiting.we had the same pasta as the table across us and they were asked if they liked parmesan or peppers on it while we were not asked. The kitchen staff that served and described the food was very nice tho, even saw the note we made on the reservation and congratulated us, server missed it.the food was good but menu choice was tiny and 1/3 of it was cheese and salami, we came for the lobster pasta as it was highly recommended by a friend but it was not available at this location which we found out after that every location has different menu.

I am from Windsor, which is known to have the best pizza in Canada (probably North America), yet the Tartufo pizza at Buca is second to none. Our server was beyond knowledgeable and made suggestions to compliment each dish! 3 stars for atmosphere only because we were seated in what seemed like a back room.which felt like it was set up to accommodate for New Year's Eve.

The food was good enough, though for the price point I'd choose to dine somewhere else. Our server brought us the bill and was downright hostile and inpatient with my dad as he was paying (he was having trouble with the machine). Spend your money elsewhere - server's attitude ruined the night.

I think this is the best service I've ever had at a restaurant. Staff is very professional and really made the dine in experience worth it. The food was relatively okay. There is some good options. Service still shines through in my experience.

Brought my soon to be wife here tonight to celebrate our first actual date here at a respectable restaurant. It has been 5 years since the last visit. Absolutely abysmal and outright awful management who tried to ok correct our undercooked "michelin Star" entree with warm olives. I only wanted a meal with my love and I wasn't able to.

Buca is one of my favourite restaurants in the city! Everything we ordered was amazing from the burrata pizza to the pastas. I also appreciate how detail oriented and attentive the staff is!

A "can't go wrong" destination pre-covid, but seems firmly mediocre after two visits since.

Food was decent. Service was very bad. Waiter hardly ever checked in. Waited over 30 minutes to just get the bill.

Amazing high end service where the chefs bring the food out to you and describe what is in the food. I loved that and thought he as such a classy touch. Amazing pizza and service, as well as ambience at this location. I am still dreaming of my artichoke pizza.

I was excited to try the place. Didn't have a problem reserving a table. Since we knew it's located downtown, we had figured out parking prior to heading down. 3 minutes walk from the closest paid parking garage.

We liked the general ambiance and the look of the place, though we felt the tables were too close together with others and it was loud (noise from chatter)

We did not enjoy the food. Steak was hard, and octopus was very rubbery. Pastas were OK, and appetizers were decent at best. Tiramisu was too liquidy. Wine was great, though. Overall, it was very disappointing. To add to this, our server was not very attentive. Price isn't too bad, approximately $600 for 4 people including tax & tip.

Probably won't go back again.

The food was expensive and I didn't find it tasty compared to other Italian restaurants. Overall it was a bad experience.

The staff went above and beyond to make our dining experience special. I recommend making a reservation here for your next celebration!

First of all I want to start off with how this place is not acceptable to those who are disabled or handicapped, you have to go down a flight of stairs and there is no elevator. The place is crowded, loud and service is not the best. The server did not explain what the menu items were and just ordered for us. He seemed annoyed and laughed at us when we asked about the menu. Very expensive for average food. They kept pushing us to get more food when we didn’t want it. Overall disappointed with the service, atmosphere and overall experience PLUSSSSS the place uglyyyyy. Would not recommend.

I think I had one of the worst experiences with this restaurant. I had amazing service before covid, but this time it was not the same.

1. Main course: We ordered 2 pizzas, they delivered 1 of them wrong. One of the managers came to our table and took pizza out of our hand. One we already started eating.

2. Dessert: We ordered millefoglie cake, and they delivered it to another table who had not ordered.
Since the kitchen was closed, they cut corners with $28 cake and instead of using vanilla custard, they used whipped cream.

Service: we had to call waiters multiple times to refill our table. We waited for good 15-20 min for orders to be taken.

Service was extremely friendly and kind, the the moment you’re greeted by the host, to our lovely server and the wait staff. Beautiful restaurant and cozy ambiance. Both the meat and cheese boards were fantastic. My wife and I had 2 different pasta dishes, and they both let us down considerably. The desert however was fantastic, we each got a flavour of sorbet, and to finish it off, because it was my wife’s birthday, they gave her a kit with all the ingredients to make cacio e pepe at home! Very unique and thoughtful gift. Overall we will try Buca again, probably the pizza this time (the table beside us got the burrata pizza, and it looked incredible)

Not impressed with the food quality at all. The octopus dish had a strong pungent smell that ruined the whole experience. The lemon spaghetti was extremely mediocre. Although I do recommend the hand made pasta. The server didn’t check on us until the very end. And when I told him the octopus smelled really bad he acted surprised and said they sell this a lot… and just walked way without as much as acknowledging it. Italian cuisine is very simple, it’s all about the ingredients. You can’t cheap out on ingredients. Never going back unfortunately.

Great place the people and service are excellent. I’ve been there before and I thought the Pasta with Anchovies and Mollica was not up to usual. Maybe they had a bad night. I liked the pizza and would definitely go again.

My colleagues and I have had a great experience here. Arrived at the place by chance, we found lovely people in the service, tasty food and a surprising collection of wines. Recommended!
