Our experience in Budds BMW Hamilton was awesome. Vivian is very knowledgeable and helpful. He assisted us test drives with multiple vehicles and eventually provided a good deal with one of our preferred vehicles. He is very responsive in communication, super prompt. Our lease closure for the old cad was seamless and we got delivery of X3 within 2 days. I would highly recommend Budds BMW Hamilton to anyone who is interested in buying BMW.

Brought it in for a recall, I was told 1 day. Ended up being 6 days (but each day they’d say “oh this is the day, never was) They also don’t provide rentals when it’s them fixing the issue of BMW. Got my vehicle back with: no more power to my dash cam, car play will not come up at all, satnav is permanently “loading”, voice command is permanently “loading”. All my driver profiles are gone, and new stuff won’t save to it. Every time I turn my car back on it’s like the start up menu from the very first time. Budds ROYALLY messed my car up

This review is from 2 experiences a while ago.

1st was buying a bulb from their parts counter. Price was 5x the Partsource price. Both parts were name-brand Made in Germany components. I know this because 1 week after the Left bulb burnt out, the Right one burnt out. Both were 10 year old original bulbs. The engineers did a consistent job of planned obsolescence on this one.

Second was serious engine trouble, so I grudgingly brought it here. Upper James BMW ignored my notes and misdiagnosed issue. Actual issue was a broken exhaust valve spring, but they somehow diagnosed issue as fouled spark plugs and coils (?). Those causes were impossible since I switched plugs/coils around and the issue stayed put. This may not have been a Budds' issue, but rather a global BMW dealership issue where unrelenting service procedures demand flowsheet following instead of brain usage. Moral of the story: think carefully about buying parts from the dealership (bulbs, No. Gaskets or bolts, Yes) and go anywhere but the dealership for out-of-warranty maintenance/troubleshooting.

Took my X5 in today for two recall work orders. When we picked up the car, I noticed change was taken and Werther candies were eaten, and the wrappers were left in the centre console. I received very good service from the Service Advisor. We have dealt with Glenn in Parts and have always been happy with our experiences with your dealership and find this behaviour very surprising and disappointing.

Unfortunately I can't recommend using the service department to other people if technicians are stealing personal items and money from customers cars.

Service is good and reliable. Overall I'm really satisfied. My main complain is towards calling the service center calling system. No body answers the call. I've tried calling 3 times during the last couple of days and no answer. Quite frustrating. Sales department answers in 2 tones.
I was just looking for some orientation towards my car. I'd suggest to have some one responsible for just that.

EDIT: I did try to use the online chat and I was instructed to call.

The other staff who walked me through warrantee options and showed me the ins and outs of the car and its features were equally fantastic. No high pressure tactics here. Just efficient, friendly service across the board.

This is my 6th car from Budds Bmw. My 2nd car with Peter. Both sales and service for me at Budds is why I keep coming back. This experience with Peter and Shannon took it beyond. It was my dogs birthday on the day I picked up my car. Special treats for me and Finn and Willow went beyond what I ever expected. Not only did I get a car of my dreams - the above and beyond treatment just made me feel no 1. Thankyou to both Peter and Shannon for making this experience the best.

With no confirmation email for appointment instead I got a voice message to call the service department back which I did only to have no one answer. Service sucks. All I want is to have an oil change. Ill call oakville instead.

BUDD's BMW Hamilton - beautiful dealership, great service advisor, hand washed car upon completion of work. Definitely a First Class operation. That said, it took 2 hours for an "Express Oil Change" and hand wash. I think Budd's can improve in processing time.

Emir, who assisted me throughout my journey and helped me purchase my first BMW, was incredibly helpful and enjoyable to work with! He kept me informed as I waited for the car to arrive at the dealership, which gave me the impression that he cares about his customer and does his best.on delivery day, he made sure the car was clean and ready to go, with a nice red bow on the hood.

Overall, I'm extremely happy with my purchase and grateful to Emir for making it a fun experience.also he provides nice and cold water:)

I have used the Service Department at Budd's on Upper James Street in Hamilton for 15 years. For this most recent service appointment, I needed a general vehicle inspection, an oil change, and front brake pads replaced. Since the tires were coming off for the brake work, I thought it would be a good time to get a wheel alignment. After dropping off the car first thing in the morning, the shuttle took me to work. Part way through the day, I was contacted to say that the work was going well and the inspection had found a small leak in an oil gasket. I decided to delay that work to another day. The Service Department completed the other work and then washed and vacuumed the car. The shuttle collected me from work and I was able to quickly pay for my services and get back on the road. All in all a very professional service occasion. I was completely pleased with the work that was done and will return the next time I need my BMW vehicle serviced.

I loved my experience start to finish. We worked with Peter Krywiak from Budds and he was so pleasant and easy to work with. I was intimidated going into a BMW dealership and right away he alleviated that by being approachable and down to earth. At no point did I feel pressured to buy a vehicle but he was always right there with the answers to all of my (numerous) questions. Peter delivered on a great customer experience. We arrived from out of town to a used vehicle that was in show room condition, and paperwork that was fully prepared. Including test drive we were back on our way in about an hour. Peter would have spent as much time as we needed with vehicle orientation, but we were very familiar with the car & wanted to get back on the road. Many thanks to Peter and Leslie Carey for her help.

I brought my vehicle in for a routine oil change and was pleased by the service provided. My service advisor, Rob was so helpful and he made my experience a positive one. He kept me updated about the status of my vehicle throughout the entire visit, and he answered all of my questions. A huge thanks to Nadine as well, who took her time assisting me with a technical issue with my vehicle. She patiently showed me how to solve the issue in case it ever happened again. Theron was knowledgeable and made me feel very comfortable, knows his products inside and out, no pressure at all! Not only did I get a BIG red bow on the hood of my vehicle on delivery day, I also received a beautiful gift box produced by 'A box full of stuff' from the lovely Joanne Vincent who I have had the privilege of meeting before. I was driving through ontario from the US when my vehicle alerted me to replace my front brake pads. I had just replaced them a few months ago and was quite confused. I came to this dealership and Kyle in Sales had explained to me why it had alerted and that it could be acknowledged and reset. He then came outside to my vehicle and reset it for me. I truly appreciate Kyle for going above and beyond. I will definitely be referring my friends and family in the GTA to head down to Budds BMW.

Bad customer service.
Monday I got the quote for my BMW spring coils saying new parts are in stock. Today early morning I dropped the car and was told around 4-5pm will get my car back. 2: 45pm I get a message that some bolts are missing with the new parts and I can't get my car back till next day?
This is ridiculous. I have festival tomorrow and needed the car badly by end of today. There is no loaner car available and I don't want enterprise rental car.

Have used services of Policaro BMW and Budds BMW Oakville without any complaints.very good customer service.
Certainly look for compensation on the quoted price for the coils. Within 2 weeks I have already spent around 4k. Last week I got my front brake pads replaced.

My experience at Budd's BMW Hamilton was amazing! Once I saw the pre-owned BMW X5 via the website I was really excited to see if it was available. I sent a message through there online portal and received a response right away from there representative named Vivian O'neal mind you this was around 10pm at night - it was amazing to receive such a quick response back as once I viewed the car online I knew this was top on the list to view in-person. From the moment my husband and I walked in we were completely thrilled with Vivian's attention to us and answered all of our questions. Vivian took the time with us and was very very patient when we were working out the particulars with the Financials. Also the finance specialist Shannon was amazing as well from her prompt responses to providing very detailed information about the warranties were completely helpful. I would highly recommend purchasing your next BMW from this dealer they're truly the best! Thank you for providing such top notch service folks. It's much appreciated!

First of all it's the hours that service, only open: Monday to Friday, the latest appt.at 3PM, they don't work on Saturday, very inconvinient.

Secondly I always asking not to wash my car, they always do. The reason i don't want to wash my car, POOR WORKMANSHIP, a lot of water on the carpet.

This time oile driped on my driveway, they did not clean under the dripping pan after the service.

For some reason it's seems everybody on the rush all the time
Nobody return e-mail, have to call them.

My expectations was always higher

I would like to thank Peter Krywiak, sales representative for his professionalism when purchasing my first BMW.

I previously owned a Mercedes SUV and considered purchasing another one, however after looking at the Bimmers with my wife and more importantly working with Peter Krywiak, we were swayed to purchase the X7 and are loving it. Peter was very attentive in our initial meeting explaining everything we wanted to know and more so when the vehicle finally arrived. If all the staff at Budds BMW Hamilton are like Peter, then I am certain this will not be are only purchase with them.

Definitely worth the drive to Hamilton. I’ve dealt with a lot of dealerships and sales associates in the past and by far Vishaal was the best. He took his time and answered all our questions. Took us as serious buyers from the first moment of contact which was through emails. In the past, I have experienced dealerships only wanting to talk to you if you were buying a car from them today. I didn’t plan on buying a car when I walked in but the service was amazing. Everyone always say test drive the car before buying a lot of places won’t let you do that but Budds Bmw has no problem with that they want you to purchase the correct car and not regret your decision in the future. Also Shannon the Finance Manager was wonderful and educated us on all the warranties and did not pressure us into buying them. All in all, I will be going back and definitely referring my friends and family to Vishaal and the dealership, since everyone was amazing to deal with it. 100/10

I was very happy with the treatment of all of the sales staff including the financial department.
I realize that the vehicle I purchased was a pre-owned 2014 Jaguar XF and not a BMW vehicle as per the dealership primary brand.
So am not too sure about the prior service that might have been carried carried out on the vehicle, I did ask for the brakes to be checked out and the rear pads and rotor were replaced, so I did wonder about other service points that I didn't ask about.
I picked up from the service handbook in the car that the car was serviced by the London Jaguar dealer. The service manager sent me a copy of their service records dated from 2014 to 2018, which was very helpful.
I did contact Peter Crywiak and Shannon Hoonaard who assisted with my purchase of the vehicle to ask if they could find out if any service info that might have took place during 2018 thu' 2020, but have yet to receive any reply from them.
I am just concerned that the vehicle is six years old and loaded with technology.
As of now, the car is running well but do wonder about the service procedures that might have took place during the last 18 months.

This location has been less than impressive. It has taken me a while to write this review but now I feel as if I need to due to the horrible experience I endured trying to have my BMW's battery drain issue found and fixed.

Approx 1 year ago my cars battery was being drained by something, so I took it to Budds BMW Hamilton (Upper James). They said it was my battery despite me telling them that when I boos the car it runs fine and can run forever, which tells me its not the battery or the alternator. The battery can last 1 day or even 5, something seems to turn on and drain it. Never the less they insisted it was the battery. So at $400+ they replaced it and then I was stuck paying an additional $400+ for programming the car with the new battery. I drove the car for 1 week and then that battery was drained. When I called back complaining that I spent all this money unwisely, they advised we needed to do a complete reboot of the car at another $400 or $500. So i did hoping this would all be fixed and go away.

That lasted approx 10 months and it started again. When I took it back to the same location, they diagnosed it at $200 and said they found nothing, but were going to check a few other things and get back to me. After the 6th day called for an update and was advised nothing was done other than the diagnosis on day 1. Here I am left with a rental fee for no reason at another $150. What I was told at this point was they cant find the issue and to ensure my cars battery doesn't die anymore, was to park it in doors because of the cold and put it on a trickle charger so my battery stays charged. In my mind, this was their advise to a problem they could't find and one way way to get rid of a problem they couldn't diagnose. I could not beleive that this was coming from a BMW establishment which prides itself on customer satisfaction, not to mention their technicians abilities to solve any issue.

The next step we took was taking the time to talk to the service manager Jeff Storey with my wife regarding our whole dissatisfaction with what had taken place thus far with no resolution, which proved to be a waste of time. Jeff advised that these issues are hard to diagnose and could be several issues that cause them. This is true, but nothing that he mentioned like my aftermarket sub woofer in place for 4 years proved to ba the issue. We disconnected it as a test and still drained the battery. Then he said one of the mechanics found an aftermarket said inverter installed in my trunk, this I was not aware of. So, we proceeded to ask him to show us the inverter. When we reached my car and popped the trunk, he point to the inverter, which came from my other vehicle that I pulled and threw loosely in my trunk. I picked it up with the cord dangling, and said "this inverter". At this point my trust has diminished lower than it could go with this establishment in telling me any value of truth or wanting to actually help me. Let alone the money I spent which collectively at this point was close to $3000. What really threw my wife and I over the edge was when Jeff said, and I quote, "BMW these days are not built to to last past 200,000 KM without staring to breakdown". I was shocked he said this, let alone coming from a service manager.

The one thing he did for us was give us 2 free hrs to leave the car hooked up to diagnose it and hopefully and finally find the issue.after 2 days in the shop they found the issue. It was my Electronic Water Pump turning on while the car was asleep / off and draining the battery. Not all the time, which is why it was so sporadic. Just over $1200 to fix. Not a very satisfied or happy customer. With all this said, which is a lot due to the extensive issues and time I had to endure hoping BMW would fix my in a timely manner and without as many visits. You would think for how many cars and similar or exact issue you (Hamilton BMW) have seen roll into your garage, this should have been identified sooner and not costed me $4000. Not a customer at all.

I made an appointment for an oil change drop my car off at 8: 00am and Decio met me answered my question and told me it would be about an hour and he would arrange a ride home or I could relax in the waiting room and he would come and let me know when service was completed along with washing the car.
Everyone is always very friendly and ready to help.

**Edit** - while we were originally pretty happy with the service at this location, we've since had a series of frustrations that means we likely will be going to an Audi or Lexus for our next car.

For one, our suv has needed front brakes (pads plus rotors) at 35k km. We were curious about replacement costs for brakes upon purchase and the sales man at the time said not to worry and he trotted out two invoices which showed a full set of brakes to be $800 - not crazy. Low and behold when we need them now, we're quoted $1,800. More frustratingly, the tech launches into a condescending speech (to my wife) about how it's its standard for BMW to need brakes early. I understand early, but 30k for pads and rotors seems a bit extreme, and anecdotally, worse than other luxury cars. Even more frustratingly, less than a week after getting the brakes done, we're now getting warnings that a brake fluid flush is needed from the sensor, despite having been charged for that when the brakes were done.

All told, the purchasing process is good, the car is a blast to drive but, the lack of reliability and condescending nature of the techs there mean we won't be back.

Go see John MacDonald! He's fantastic! He doesn't sell you on a car. He lets the car sell itself and he makes all the arrangements very easy (and the administration staff of course)

Didnt find the dealership overly helpful and couldn't reach a deal. Sales mgmt was disappointing. I went down the road and bought a bmw in st Catherine's and had a wonderful experience. This is my 7th bmw in 15 years so I do know what to expect from a luxury brand dealership. Will never do business with budds hamilton and likely not oakville either.

Had my X3 in to take care of some recalls. This was my first experience with the BMW dealership. The customer service I received from Decio was above and beyond what I had expected. Excellent experience!

Booked a few oil changes in the last 2-3 years. Every time they try and sell you something you did not ask for (top up fluid and charge you for it when you did not ask for it).
Most recently I booked an express oil change and made it clear that was the only thing I wanted done on the car. My wife takes the car in and gets charged for oil drain plug and a fee to set oil filter element. Part of an oil change is to change the filter so I can’t believe they added this charge.
When you call them no one picks up (front desk, parts or service advisors). Very disappointed with customer service and will not return to this location.
