Great location for pick up.was able to switch vehicle to smaller suv.am not sure if credit for prepayment was put thru, but will be in contact if there were some snag.

I liked everything about renting here. Fast and efficient check-in. Clean cars. Enough parking space. Convenient key drop-off before the next business day.

I had a very good experience at this location. Initially booked a full size sedan but they upgraded to suv which was nice as we went to Montreal. Renting a car is always stressful but if you have rental insurance and check the car for any damage before renting then your rental experience is going to be good. Carlos is very good in customer service and I definitely recommend this location.

I’ve been renting cars from the High Park Budget location for many years and I would describe my experiences there as decent and routine. No drama. That is until a few days ago when I had the misfortune of dealing with a Carlos and his manager Sandy. It was surreal. My main residence is in Quebec but my work takes me to Toronto very often and my partner lives there. Needless to say my drivers license is from Quebec. This has never proven to be problematic (nor should it ever) until last Saturday morning when a certain Carlos (new guy I think) didn’t like that I had a Quebec drivers license from the get go. I had rented a car just the previous week from this location and the person attending to me gave me a free upgrade as, in his words, I was “ a regular”. But today this new guy wasn’t having it. I had already paid for the car and as I said I’d been renting cars from this location for years. Carlos started interrogating me about where I lived and what I did like he was a policeman. It was weird. He then declared that because I had a Quebec drivers license and that I very often temporarily resided in Ontario he would not rent me the car. When I tried to explain that I was in fact a Quebec resident he shut me down. I asked to speak to a manager. He phoned the manager and weirdly escalated the situation by telling her (Sandy) on the phone in front of me that I had turned the situation into an “ us v them” situation. Flustered by this I thought well the manager will fix this but all I got was someone who wouldn’t let me speak, scolded me, yelled at me and then told me I wasn’t getting a car as there was a danger it could get impounded by the police if they stopped me due to my having the Quebec drivers license. Even in the worst European tourist traps I have not been treated with such hostility. All kinds of things went through my head: do these people hate Quebecers? Is Carlos maybe even kinda anti-Semitic as I am partly Jewish and I look very Jewish? The situation was so strange that I was just grasping at straws for a logical explanation. Don’t go there. Seriously. I will never give them my business again
(btw in order to post this review I had to give this location one star. My last experience should in fact be rated minus one star instead)

Poor experience. The competitors nearby are much better, so Ive now crossed this one off my list and will only use others going forward.recommended to stay away.

My experience with Budget Car Rental @ Dundas West, the customer service was very professional and the staff was helpful and nice.

I had an excellent experience with the customer service at Budget High Park with Carlos. He was very kind and patient, he always went above and beyond of my needs. He was also clear and concise when explaining policies, procedures or solutions, regarding my rental and coverage.

Great experience at this location. They found an item I left back in the vehicle and kept it safe for me to pick up. Wonderful rental place, will go again!

Rent cars from here all the time. I order online and then pick it up. Never any issue. Staff are super friendly and professional and get the job done.

I assumed my headphones were gone and if they had been found by the next renters - I wouldn't be seeing them again.

Budget staff tracked the headphones down, called me immediately, and then worked with me to have them retrieved. Above and beyond service I wouldn't have expected from a "budget" car rent company.

Handy location next to a subway stop. Helpful staff and quick check-in and return process.
