Don't forget your second piece of ID (or in my case, make sure it's not expired) - Brookfield Place Location
Service was good, unless you forget a piece of ID, or it is expired. I understand that this is my fault, however having no other option was frustrating. I had my driver's license, an expired health card, and the credit card I was paying with. For verification purposes, seeing my face and birthday on two cards and matching them to my face in real life should be enough, no? The vital pieces of ID were in tact, but instead I had to uber home and back with my passport costing us extra time and money. I also don't understand why a different credit card (one I wasn't paying with) would have been sufficient but the rest of what I had wasn't. Once I came back, the service was fine, although the car kept giving me a "needs maintenance" pop up. Overall, I'd come back if I had to but I'd rather use Communauto if/when it's available. Drop off experience was smooth and fast, so I'll give them that.

If you don't wanna ruin your day, don't even think about coming to this place. We called twice to confirm that we are renting a vehicle and told them we are arriving in a few minutes, the guy I was talking to said "okay see you". When we arrived, I believe it's the same guy, told us they're out, they don't have anything for us to rent! Should have told me over the phone, could have saved me an uber ride!

Surprisingly the best car rental experience I've had.
-Seamless pick up experience. After walking in, was driving away in the rental car within 10 minutes.
-Very friendly and helpful associate assisted me during pick-up. I admittedly don't know much about the three car options I had, and selected one of the worse options, and the associate was friendly enough to recommend/switch me to one of the better options for me which I ended up LOVING
-Very clear end-of-rental gas fill-up instructions and drop off instructions provided
-Drop off was an extremely efficient experience. Drove into the garage, pulled up to a spot, the associate examined the car within 2 minutes, and I was on my way
I've used other car rental companies and was pleasantly surprised that Budget (Bay St location) has delivered the best experience. Will definitely be using them again.

Good value rental, easy to book online and appreciated the opportunity to earn frequent flyer points. Convenient downtown pick up location (go down to the food court and follow the tunnel to the car park elevators/PATH - there's no obvious signage at street level). Pick up was quick as I signed up for Fastbreak; representatives were efficient and direct. Be sure to follow their directions for returning your vehicle - it's a different street address (either Front or Wellington Streets). It took us a long time getting through traffic to the car park entry for drop off, so check for roadworks and plan accordingly. Drop off attendant was courteous and quick.
