Recommend by a friend and would not hesitate to go back. I got in contact with them over email and advised them what my concerns were (vibration possibly engine mounts). I dropped off the car in the morning for them to have it check it out. Bryan reach out lest then 2 hours later letting me know what they have found and was very clear and transparent about the pricing. 3 found problems the major one was my engine mounts to witch over the phone he didn’t have a price for me at that moment and said he would reach out once he got the price. To which then he emailed me back letting me know what the price was and I like that he made a paper trail of the price instead of the over the phone. In addition very honest shop to which I’ve not seen from others shops I’ve been to. Bryan had advise me the work was done and had taken them less time then the time provided which labour cost will be less (that is a wow moment to see especially honest people are hard to find these days in the mechanic shop industry). Bryan had also let me know they did addition Retorquing on some loose bolts that they had observed and provided all the details.

I recommend this shop 10000% to anyone and will be coming back for future maintenance work.

This is a scam service place where they will charge you extra for fixing parts which never were broken. Prices are also 3x in compare to other nice shops. Highly recommended to visit other places and avoid trusting these scammers your car!

One of the worst service station I have ever been to. Totally SCAM, they’ll charge you for an Oil change which was never done I think. The guy told me that their synthetic oil is good for 10k kilometers but after driving 5k on it oil life was 10%. Went to their shop very next day when I noticed it and they gave me an appointment for next 3 days. The mechanic checked my car and he said I had no idea why this is showing up just drop your car and I’ll look into it. When I dropped my car the guy working there told me that you drove past 5k kilometeres and it is pretty obvious to show 10% oil life after that. What do you exactly mean by that? I’ve been getting my car serviced for years and this never happened. Would not recommend it next it to visit. Very Rude behaviour.

Brian and Brendan are always very thorough and extremely helpful. My Jetta was not driveable due to component failure and even though they had 30 cars booked in for the day they still managed to get me up and running despite not having an appointment. 10/10 service would recommend to anyone.

Took my 2018 vw beetle in to have my 60k inspection, summer tires put on and a engine light diagnosed. I was extremely pleased with their customer service and prices! They changed my spark plugs for 140$ which would be like 300$ at leavens. I was previously charged 200$ for an oil change at Leavens VW and I am never going there again. The engine light was easily diagnosed, they gave me an estimate for the PCV valve and said that it will be replaced under warranty at the dealership. I highly recommend BugStop if you own a VW and are trying to get away from the dealership. Their prices are extremely reasonable and they have great deals on tires right now! Thank you BugStop!

Very happy with the service. After calling every shop locally to me, Bugstop was the only one willing to do a headgasket job on my Tiguan. Finished the work on my car in 3 days after a previous mechanic couldnt get to it for 2 months. Very fair pricing. Will return with any future problems.

I could not recommend this shop more if you're a passionate VW owner looking for knowledgeable and honest professionals to talk to about your vehicle. Since October of 2021 I had been driving around with a limp turbo in my Mk7 GTI because the VW dealership quoted $3500 for a seized wastegate (they wanted to replace the entire turbo). I asked if they could repair or replace the actuator but they insisted the entire unit needed to be replaced.

I spoke with Bryan at Bugstop and he was very informative and honest with what needed to be done. They cleared up the wastegate on my existing turbo instead of replacing the whole thing, only costing me $550, a fraction of the dealership cost. I also had some filters changed and my DSG service done since it was about $200 less than the dealership quote.

They also diagnosed two items I wanted to have looked at and they did so at no extra cost. Bryan and I also chatted about future work and some modifications I was looking to do in the future through email and was very helpful with future plans for the car. Overall it was a very smooth experience and I'll be back in the future.

I’ve taken multiple vehicles to Bryan and his team many times - everything is always done right the first time. Always honest and looks for the most cost effective way to fix your vehicle’s issue.

I brought the car to the stealerrship and they quoted $1800 I called the Bug Shop and they quoted $500 for the same job. After dropping off the car they diagnosed the problem as a bad coil for $60. After diagnosis and repair I was out the door for $120. They are good honest people!

Thinking about using this place, I need two rear tires replaced, the front are good, and a windshield replacement on my 1987 jaguar vanden pla, and the oil changed? Alot of work wondering if I can get quote here? Will give better rating on a follow up!

Was not told what actual problem was. Forgot to check suspension issue after assuring me he had it written down so ultimately cost me 400 to get power back to drivers door and replace a switch that cost 35 on Amazon.

I had a positive experience at Bugstop Automotive! One thing I would recommend is asking for a quote and approximate work time beforehand, since they didn’t provide that to me voluntarily. With that said, the price was fair, the work met my needs, and they didn’t try to upsell me or anything. As a woman, this made me a lot more comfortable.

Had a timing belt and water pump changed. Bryan gave me the best quote in the city. He also fixed a leaking radiator hose free of charge. I will definitely bring my 2006 TDI Jetta back to Bugstop.

I inherited a Manx Dune Buggy from my father, that had been sitting outside for over eight years. It required A LOT of work, but more importantly, someone who had experience working on this type of vehicle. Went to a few shops only to be told it was beyond them. The Bugstop was reccomended to me by a technician along the way, so I figured I would give it a shot. Bryan was super knowlwdgeable, incredibly flexible and understanding of the sentiment that I had for the car. He did everything I asked him to and advised me of all options and prices along the way. He got the buggy running really well and to a point I can take over and add my personal touch. I look forward to getting behind the wheel in the spring and know exactly where I'll visit when I run into issues, or just need advise along the way. Outstanding experience!

Was in London in early summer for urgent family matter. Had driven from BC and desperately needed an oil change before driving back to BC. Tried the two VW dealers in London and explained my predicament and said I was only in town 5 days. Both not listening gave me a opportunity for an oil change 2 weeks after I was going to be gone. Didn't listen or care. I called Bugstop and explained my predicament and was given an appointment in 3 days, on the day I preferred. When I arrived I was told that they just fit me in.
