Build-A-Bear Workshop

Took our 2 year old grandson here today. The gentleman who helped us out was outstanding. So friendly, explaining everything and genuinely appeared to love what he does! Thankyou.

All I can say is that my experience at this location was a ride.

I brought my daughter to celebrate her 5th birthday; gotten her the birthday bear. Walked up to the kiosk to be instantly greeted by a sweet angel of a soul with the most luminous smile.wish I had remembered her name, if I’m not mistaken it started with an M, and she had on pretty rings and other jewelry that I couldn’t help but compliment a ton! She happily explained the birthday bear promotion to my daughter and I, making certain we were filled in on all details before we began the process. We were honoured to be serviced by her, it was such a drastic change from our previous experiences here as they usually aren’t as pleasing.
We’re halfway into the sound-me and name-me process, and here comes Trish. The extremely rude, middle aged blonde that still happens to work there. She rudely interrupted the sweet young woman who was assisting us, Trish practically pushed her aside and took over the position herself. Extremely rude!
(I don’t care if you’re a supervisor/manager, no employee should be treated that way or merely tossed to the side without proper communication.)
We were then rushed into the process by Trish, (per usual) and then taken right to the “stuff-me station”
Thankfully, the sweet one helped my daughter stuff her birthday bear. We were brought to the heart ceremony with ease as Trish was nowhere around during. (Grateful for that) my daughter got her bear stitched up and we got to browse through adorable outfits. Cashing out was a breeze, (Trish wasn’t around) and we were sung happy birthday by super kind cashier, Harleigh.
Overall, without Trish’s nosiness and arrogance, it was such a nice experience. Besides, it was my first time meeting the lovely bright smiling girl! Seems like she’s a new employee. Alas, thank you for your kindness y’all <3

This was our first time ever having a Build a Bear experience and it was lovely. Tracey and Ty were so delightful and friendly to my 6 year old and made it a special experience for her. Even though it was busy when we first got there they didn't seem flustered and made sure to communicate with those of us who were still waiting.

I didn’t catch their names but the two people work may 16th around 1: 30/2pm were absolutely wonderful. Even in my twenty’s I still got the full build a bear experience, making a wish, etc etc.it was genuinely so wholesome as I don’t get build a bears often so this was a really genuine experience

Just picked up a Growlthe plush as I collect pokemon plushies and have gone to a few locations in the past to collect them But.

The Limeridge mall staff absolutely blew me away with their service. They were super kind and Harleigh definitely delivered by far the best experience I've had at a build a bear.she took her time and made it alot more fun then just picking up a plushie. Amazing energy I'll definitely be back!

Had a great experience building a bear for my daughters 2nd birthday. Tracee (I believe her name was) was so great and involved my 5 year old son a lot in the experience which I appreciated. She gave us a lot of options without being pushy and made us feel like it was so special. My daughter loves her birthday bear and we will be going back for my son in a few months for his birthday.

I will clarify the 1 Star rating. The girl who helped me/us, her name was Arbish.and she was "SUPER PHENOMENAL". She was friendly, she was terrific with my grandchildren and she was incredibly friendly and helpful.so well done Arbish. However, having to deal with the Manager is where this rating came from. I would welcome a phone call from the District Manager/Supervisor or VPof Sales to explain this entire interaction. CLearly this is someone who in my humble opinion should not be interacting with customers. I tried to make a very simple suggestion to " protect" the "birth certificates" they offer. Currently they stuff them down the side of the bag and on our previous experience a corner was torn.placing between two pieces of corrugate or a cardboard sleeve, no sooner as I said that she cut me off and said the head office would never do it. In an effort to clarify and just recommend her sending a simple email.she retorted.and I quote. "well when you're an owner you can pay for it! What a pathetic attitude. They were busy, so I walked away and let her serve the three people in line and then I walked back to try and explain to her that she shouldn't speak to a customer that way and that I was simply trying to give her a customer service tip.all she had to say was "that's a good idea, I will send the suggestion into the office", but she did not.all she wanted to do was argue and try and cut me off.had she understood how to handle this suggestion this rating would have been 5 stars as usual.she chose to argue me with. I have been a committed customer service advocate for 45 years! I said, i just spent $250 and was only trying to make a suggestion. She cut me off, and said "not my problem! D then continued with " I am a minimum wage employee.and then walked away. Serious attitude adjustment is needed on this managers part. However I will finish by saying Arbish was absolutely terrific and a good representative of the experience you should have when visiting Build-A-Bear. Again, i welcome a phone call from Head office

Such a great experience here! The staff at this location are friendly and really helpful! They try to make each experience the best even when they are busy or have to deal with some pretty rude customers. I always enjoy shopping here, how could you not when buying such cute things!

If I could give this place 0 stars, I would. I'd give it negative 5 stars even. A malicious witch named Trish runs this accursed land.

I don't know what went wrong in her life, but clearly things didn't go her way and she takes it out on her employees. The witch speaks to her employees in a condescending manner in front of the customers. If she was a sandwich, she would be a 7/11 tuna salad sammie.

Don't even get me started on the bear abuse! These poor teddies just need some loving homes, but evil Trish and her bad vibes throws all of the bear's chakras off. This dump belongs in the Trishcan! Do NOT take your kids here if you want them to have successful and happy lives.

As an American, I expect much more from Canada. It's all good though, karma always wins!

Terrible experience and I would never ever recommend anyone to visit this location. I was get help today by Trish to help me build the bear as gift for myself due to I have to move go different city so I want to build bear with my parent and my fiance voice in it. Trish is so unprofessional and mean to us. When we pick the bear she no help as all and when we done pick she ask if we want to make the bear and I say yes she tell us "Go to this line and wait until your turn we will let you know" and she did not make it clear what side of the line and when we stand wrong side she just mad at us and tell us go to the other side. When we do voice record she tell us speak louder, and my fiance fist time here so he speak as normal and she tell him speak louder and second try he not happy with it so ask to try it again, Trish roll her eyes and not happy as all about that. Mind you I was next to them the tho time so I saw all of that, my parent still wait until there turn and she yell at them tell them "Come here hurry up". When it finish my fiance turn she just let us listen half way and click buy and tell my dad ready to speak to the mic. My dad speak in Vietnamese and it his first time as well, as soon as my dad done record she not even let us listen to that again and tell us that my dad need to speak louder cause when it in the bear we will not hear anything and just click re-record and my dad try again, after second time she just click buy and not let us listens again to that. My mom turn since I'm already piss at this point and my mom have mentally ill so as soon as my mom try her best I just click buy because I will never ever let anyone yell at my mother. And she tell us wait for cashier come help us put the cotton inside the bear, the cashier Melanie try to help us and Trish try to rush her to get us out of there asap mind you she not even tell me about the sense - heart beat - and wishing heart - I have to ask for all of that add in. And when we pick outfit same thing no one help us. And when we at check out and pay for everything it $100 for the bear with outfit and Trish make sure to come tell Melanie in front of my family and me that "We don't have time to put the outfit on for them just be hurry". Overall terrible experience here I would never ever come back to this location again in my life and if you can please go to different location because this place is totally nightmare and Trish is the mean old white lady that everyone talk about in the review loop

I took my niece for her birthday and it was such a wonderful experience. Trish even gave her an extra special experience and gave her a birthday sticker and crown. Ty was also great and super helpful. All of the staff did a great job making sure everything ran smoothly as well!

Thank You So Much for great service. 100 percent I recommend this place for all kinds of stuff. She told me about the heartbeat inside the teddy and I Loved it.they can also put voice recordings inside the teddy it's amazing. I really appreciate her customer service she was very delightful and she was very polite to the customers.

The young man behind the cash this afternoon was a delight. He was polite and engaging while being very efficient with the register system and worked very well in extremely busy crowded area. He and his co-worker really needed another persons' help today.

The rude blonde woman is still there. Beware everyone. Rude as heck. My rating is actually 0. But as we all know this is not an option. I was looking at the clothes with no one beside me. I had a bear already stuffed in my arms. She grabbed the clothes from my hand and said that I needed to get in line and to wait until everyone had their bears stuffed. There was no one anywhere near me and she said that I needed to social distance behind a person in line. As there where two people waiting in line, this would have taken some time. There should be two lines, one for those waiting to have a bear stuffed and another line for those looking for accessories. I asked her if she knew how bad her reviews were. She said she did not care and that she has been a manager for 14 years. She is not only a reflection of how build a bear has declined in its customer service, but how build a bear does not care who is representing them in the frontlines…. Sad. I remember the good old days when build a bear was the place to go for fun and good customer service. It is no longer the case. It is no longer enjoyable and fun. I would have to say my experience was quite the opposite…threatening.

The gentleman that was helping us was very sweet and patient (considering he was helping two fully grown adults build and clothe a stuffed animal) but the blonde supervisor was constantly rushing him even though the entire mall was dead and they had just one customer looking (hadn’t even decided yet) and literally no one else around the kiosk.

The rushing through the transaction is so annoying for us and the employees. Defeats the whole experience of going in the first place.

Also the selection was pretty sad, half was harry potter stuff or paw patrol. But we found some cute things regardless.

If it wasn't for Mary and Nancy today my experience would have been more awful. Why corporate wont investigate into the old blonde lady is beyond me and outrageous. Her attitude is awful. I found her to be disrespectful towards myself and other customers. Corporate please look into this and do something you are losing loyal customers

What an amazing experience for my daughter who suffers from anxiety sues always afraid but a gentleman by the name of Tyler was absolutely amazing with uer

Smaller selections of bears and outfits but enough to make your little one's day. Friendly staff members

The products are great, I don't mind waiting a while, but please use the dividers so people dont walk beside the line to pass through.
While waiting, we had countless people with masks down drinking/eating, no distance, extremely uncomfortable

Thought there would have been more of a selection. But they are very safe and strict about practicing social distancing

We were blown away by the time and care the staff took to help us and our 2 year pick out the perfect bear. The staff were so good with the kids and made the process fun, easy and special. Build-a-bear is as much about the experience as it is about the purchase.

So happy with my expirence here. I'm a little old to be getting build a bears but all 3 lady's were so kind to me.my best service was with the nice lady with the thought curly red hair and the lady with red hair and bangs. They are so fun and make ur purchase worth it. I had went gine to the build a bear at lime ridge mall since they changed to the kiosk. But it's all new and they still ha e the great selection and it's all technological in the screen you can type the words for your birth certificate. Again I wanted to mention how great the staff were. We drove 45minutes out for this store. My boyfriend was a little questionable at first about it since I was so obsessed over a build a bear workshop but the lady's made the time so fun for me. I came home with 2 ponys from a great deal they were having. The nice lady's were asking about my day and why I chose the ponys over the other selection. It was just great I wanna go again even if I do gotta spend some money. Love it! 5 stars from me as long as the lady either curly hair and the lady with the red hair and bangs are there. Sorry I didn't catch their names even though by the end of the expirience they knew mine. I'm happy

Awesome selection of stuffed animals a little pricey but great service kids love it recommend for a family visit not a parent buying a gift because kids like stuffing and naming

Selection is much much smaller now, and they do not get all the limited time plushes now, rather disappointing.

This location is now just a kiosk in the mall instead of a storefront. It was still an excellent experience for our 2 yr old! She had a blast. The staff was so lovely and added to the magic. If it wasn't so expensive we would be back again soon; but it is definitely a special occasion type place. Loved it.

Great place. My kids (2&4) love the experience and working with the staff to build their loving creations!
