The cookies n cream cake I bought for my Fiancé's birthday was a total disappointment. It looked great but tasted like plastic and salt. I paid $70 for that! It was nauseating. Don't bother with it. Go for Sweets from Earth instead.
I just had the best gluten free vegan cheesecake of my life after a friend brought the blueberry cheesecake over for a dinner party. So decadent, so rich, so yummy. I’m so happy. It rivals any outstanding regular cheesecake but it doesn’t kill me, wahoo. Can’t wait to try more of your treats. Thank you
This bakery has the best cheese cake I have ever tasted. It is really hard to find good gluten and dairy free baking. I have tried the muffins with most amazing icing (my favourite part) lol. Will try there stuffing this weekend! A must bakery to visit in the Kensington market. You won’t be disappointed!
Amazing seasonal pumpkin choices! And I never have to worry if I can eat anything here! AND they make custom cakes too! Sorry, no pics, ate it all already
I've been here twice. Cute little bakery that offers vegan, gluten-free baked goods. I've had the cupcakes, and they were moist. It's best to go in the morning. They are more moist. Cupcakes are a little over $4 each, but it's worth it if you are gluten intolerant.
As a vegan I wanna support vegan businesses but this place has so severely fallen from grace - tested it out to give it another try today and everything I ate was dry and crumbly, also tasteless.asked for something savoury heated up and waited 5 minutes just to bite into a cold biscuit on my way home I couldn’t eat.even after heating it up myself at home it was dust in my mouth.sad.
Somebody from our office brought some slices to our office weeks ago and it was one of most delicious thing I’ve ever eaten! Then I reached out to my coworker and learned the place:) Even though I live a bit far away, I ordered different sweets and they are just delivered. OMG - everything is yummy! Plus, they delivered smoothly with a nice person.
We were looking for a last minute custom vegan option and we found them. To be honest, I do not like giving bad reviews but have to be honest.
Service-It was exceptional and very responsive. We ordered the cake little more than 24 hours before and they accepted it. I was pretty skeptical at first but they actually got it done without any issues. Products-The cake was done great apart from the taste as we found it very sweet. Way too sugary. This is against our preference so this would be least I would mention. Our issues came across when I bought more products in person and major part landed in the garbage. Cinnamon bun-tasted super dry and far from fresh. As former chef I know this well. After few bites went to garbage. Loaf of bread- super dry. Almost inedible. Quiche- I bought both of them to try but both wasn’t fresh either. Dry as piece of paper. Only reason I ate it because I was super hungry and didn’t want to put another item to the bin. To be honest, I purchased stuff here before on a quite day before roughly 2-3 years back and had the same experience so I thought I am gonna give them another chance but thumbs down. The cake were still a winner especially with exceptional service which we most likely will be back but nothing from the counter ever again. Do we recommend? Fresh produce yes. Over the products no.
I purchased a rainbow gothic cake for my 20th birthday and it was great! It’s reasonably priced and even though it was my first time buying a cake, the process was amazing I’d definitely recommend!
My friend ordered Bunners delivery for our get-together and I could not contain my excitement. The raspberry square and brownie were absolutely ridiculous.
Update: we went into the shop and I got the Nanaimo bar. Yes.
Good cake but what a shame, I found not one but two pieces of hair within the cake ew.my boyfriend ordered this cake for me and my friends for my birthday. I hope they keep their utensils clean because they clearly do not wear hairnets and its very disappointing and gross.
On vacation from the states and was looking forward to stopping by Bunner’s for months. Members of our family have gluten and egg allergies and the baked goods exceeded expectations! Best allergy-friendly baked goods we’ve had, and very reasonably priced. Wish we had more time in Toronto to try more goodies, can’t wait to come back!
First time at Bunner’s bakeshop and wish I had purchased some of their delicious looking vegan desserts. Since the day was so sunny and warm it only made sense to try their vegan ice cream. I ordered the vanilla pineapple twist soft serve on a cone. The texture and taste was refreshing. Can’t wait to go back and try the Nanaimo bars among other treats.
Bunner’s has been my safe space to get allergy friendly goods for a few years! I love how light and tasty everything is is. I have taken these photos over the years and they are still my favourite type of baked goods!
We got the space cake for a space themed birthday party it was delicious, fun, and a big hit! Although it did turn everyone’s mouths a shade of deep blue-green - that’s more our fault than Bunners tbh. Absolutely would order from them again.
I'm lactose intolerant and had been needing a wedding cake. We tried a few different places that offer dairy free/vegan cakes. I had tried the cupcakes at Bunners and found them to be delicious and moist. The red velvet cake had the wedding look right out the gate. It was a smash hit, and our guests didn't notice anything different from a regular cake. Highly recommend checking them out
