Buon Gusto Restaurant

The calamari was the best calamari I’ve ever had. We had a pizza and a pasta too. Everything was so delicious. We’re definitely coming back again!

Service was excellent! The kitchen even made accommodations and customized the menu items for one of our kids. I suggest you make reservations ahead. This place is busy and once you eat there you will know why. We look forward to returning.

I'm sorry but I expected more from this establishment.

Love the decor and service, but was a little underwhelmed with the food, portions were good.

I expected my palet to be excited, as it turn out, not so.

I was with a Party of 4 people and overall a 3 to maybe a 3 1/2 stars on the food.

Came in with my baby and husband today. The staff were very nice and the food was great. I will be sure to come back asap

We love Buon Gusto! It has some of the best pizza in Guelph, great Italian food. However I don't believe that the pasta is made on site so I couldn't give it 5 stars for that. Also, I find that the restaurant is a little loud and parking downtown is always tricky since they closed the Baker st lot. However, we love this place and will continue to come back again and again!

First off the staff that I interacted with were all great communicators, pleasant, eye contact, friendly not to mention a good sense of humor.
Started with the Bruscetta it was fresh and the flavor was light. I had the Caprese Salad.quite simple that included Roma and Cherry tomatoes, basil pesto, fresh mozzarella the flavor of this salad was delightful the combination of herbs and light oil.just the best
Then I had a pizza.don't normally eat pizza anymore but this was worth the wait.
Just the best crust my choice was simple again I selected the Margherila that included: San Marzano Tomato, fresh basil.it was so good.

I can not say enough about this establishment. From making a reservarion to our Server Sarah M (italiano) and of course the food. Right from the begining to the end they made our occasion even more special. Ive been in this business for 40 years and can talk the talk cause ive walked the walk in their shoes and again many many thanks to Sarah M and the precise execution of her service for us. I felt like a king dining with my Queen. Grazie molto from Chef Mattina.

Back to Guelph after moving away a few years ago, we stopped in for patio drinks and snacks at one of our favourite old haunts, Buon Gusto. It was a sunny day, but the patio offers several shaded spots thanks to an abundance of umbrellas.

Service was great. 9/10
Drinks were good. 8/10
Food was ho-hum. 6/10

We were offered extras on our bruschetta but didn't take them. What wasn't explained was that this meant we were going to get bruschetta topping on dry toast. A drizzle of olive oil would have salvaged that toast, but instead it was. Melba-esque.

Still a place we'll return to on future visits, but the pricing is getting high, so one might hope the food would be as good as the service.

They accommodated us, a group of 11, last minute. Staff were amazing and made us very welcome. Food was fab. Will definitely be back!

Definitely one of my favourite restaurants in town! The pasta and pizza are always delicious. Staff are great and super accommodating! I always recommend coming here. The outdoor patio is a plus!

Wow the bruschetta the pizza was gorgeous.
This is my 2nd time and always good dishes offered and above all fresh and quality products.

Cannot say enough about the great food and service. Past weekend we had our daughters wedding dinner here for about 20 close family members. Our servers Emily & Sara were fabulous. Thanks to all the staff for making a memorable day even more memorable, and manager Dave for ensuring we were all looked after. Thank you!

Pizza had nice dough, service was great. Salad was nice. The lasagna had a great sauce. They keep things simple.

My girlfriends and I eat here often. We usually receive impeccable service, but tonight was less than. No water at the table, no offer to see a desert menu and no ask if I would like another drink. Not impressed.

The pizza is the best thing on their menu. The other food is a little overpriced, but atmosphere is enjoyable.

First time here and everything was amazing! Our server was so lovely and recommended some great dishes to try. Loved the atmosphere inside and the food was delicious. We also got the tiramisu dessert that’s absolutely amazing, I would definitely recommend!

What a great meal today. Bernadette was a wonderful waitress. The pastas were fresh and perfect. Will return.

My husband and I had an amazing meal at Buon Gusto for our anniversary. We ordered the crispy pork belly for our appetizer and the carbonara and a prosciutto/fig pizza for our main course. We shared and both enjoyed everything. The pasta noodles were INCREDIBLE, melt-in-your-mouth, and their pizza crust is among the best we've ever had. The prices are very good given the quality of the dishes.

Service was good and the atmosphere was lovely. We will definitely be back.

A very delicious meal! Our server, Bernadette, was wonderful. She was warm, welcoming, and very knowledgeable and helpful.

Quite expensive food, personally I think it’s overpriced for what it is especially the pastas. Pizza here looks great though and tasted okay.

We usually go here for special occasions during lunch because it's close to the Co-operators office. The only difficulty is getting a reservation for a group of 5 or more. The food here is really good and fresh. Their lunch special is monies worth it. Comes with a pizzette and salad or soup. I usually get the mushroom soup because it's really tasty! The staff are really nice, I think the restaurant is family owned. Of course the wood fire oven pizzas are bomb!
