Everything about our experience at Burger Barn was pleasant. The service was great and friendly, the menu very substantive and the food serving size was quite large. And did I mention NO tax on the bill! The atmosphere was nice and lots of parking. This will definitely be a place we will go to again and again.
Recommended by a friend to go to when in this area. A hidden burger gem, a very delicious and tasty burger with generous portions. Prices are decent with friendly service. Definitely I go again!
Worst food ever. First attempt was stone cold waited 35 minutes for this. Secound attempt could have used bacon for shoe leather. That was one meal secound meal burger was burnt on the outside raw inside only thing hot was the fries. Wait staff offered oh sorry about that and here is your bill
I came to this establishment thinking it was tied in with the movie 'What's Eating Gilbert Grape'. I even Said to my ol lady "MARGARET IT'S A BURGER BARN! " I was disappointed when I found out it had nothing to do with the movie. But the delicious burger made up for the disappointment. Great job, you guys really know your way around beef. As an American I'm thoroughly impressed.
Food is good but comes cold when it should be hot. Server didn't refill coffees promptly. This seems to be a repetitive problem as it has happened the last couple times I've been there.
I've been coming to Petroplus for gas and Ace's for smokes for years and last week, we finally went to Burger Barn. I was blown away by the portions and its tax free. I would recommend the Buffalo Chicken Poutine. Come with your appetite and you won't be disappointed! Best of all, it's tax free!
Is a little noisy, but the food more than covers for that. Probably everyone talkin about how great the food is. Don't pay in cash. The waitress we had brought back the wrong change, and when I questioned her, she said she got the bills mixed up and gave me the rest of my change.
We went here today, Sunday, December 3,2023 at about 2 pm. We were seated immediately by Emma who was very bright and pleasant and brought us drinks immediately. We had a bacon cheeseburger with fries and a bacon mushroom melt with fries, and a chicken parm sandwich with Cesar salad to bring back to Hamilton for Melissa. The food was AWESOME! The taste of the burger was phenomenal, the fries were fresh cut and deep fried to perfection and tasted outstanding. The gravy was excellent, service was OUTSTANDING, Emma was a great waitress and made sure we were taken care of. When Emma was busy another lady came by and asked us if we wanted refills of our drinks and she took our glasses and filled them with Pepsi again, again fantastic service! For all three meals plus tip was 68$, that’s inexpensive these days. The entire experience including the wonderful ambiance inside of happy people and large wooden tables and chairs brought everything together into a really fantastic time. I’d highly recommend this place to all, you won’t be disappointed.
This place is amazing. I had the best burger I've had in years, not just because it was a 4x4 stack burger, but because the ingredients and portion sizes. The price for it was also amazing.
The service was stellar and I'm heartbroken that I live so far away. I will have to yearn for their burgers.
Awesome burgers and sandwiches! Breakfast meals are fantastic! Ravyn and the other servers make a great team! I've only been there 4 times but this is my favorite restaurant - I'll be back again and again!
We went around 3pm on a Wednesday. No wait, the restaurant was packed either. It's usually a large line-up and wait during peak times. I highly recommend going during non-peak hours. Our servers name was Tabitha (I think). She stayed on top of everything and went above for us. Portions are huge and everything was perfect; burgers juicy, fries were crispy. They also had hot apple Cider (something I've been craving since September and haven't been able to find).
My only suggestion would be to up the suggested tipping on the bottom of the bill. It starts at 10% which is way too low for having to tip out the kitchen and hostees/bussers plus make any money themselves especially when anyone is non-Indigenous and are saving on being taxed.
A really bad experience but food was good and service once seated was good. They lost track of the wait line. Then another server took our order we were told. Almost 2 hours to get seated and food.
