Brought our cat in for a prolapsed iris. An emergency. We waited for almost 2 hours. No one saw our cat. No one communicated the process, reason for delay. Waiting room was empty. Eventually asked for our cat back and left. Bought a cone from them and hoping for the best for tomorrow morning, Monday, when we see our vet. No music in waiting room. Girl behind desk was obsessed with bill problems after a family came out crying after dog put to sleep as we arrived. How about saying we will bill you and sending them home? Bad experience.

The care and compassion my pup George and I received from all the staff here, particularly Dr. Roman Diaz, was truly amazing. My dog was losing his balance and uncontrollably vomiting 30 minutes past midnight on New Years Eve and I was in sheer panic mode. I arrived, they took him immediately and assessed vitals, making sure I was well informed of his status. I was there for quite some time, and after a thorough exam and testing, received the most compassionate explanation of his diagnosis. Dr. Roman Diaz is truly a special human being, taking care of both my beloved dog as well as taking care of me. I cannot thank you enough, you made a terrifying experience so much easier by just being so kind.

Our dog needed immediate care, of course it happens after most vet clinics are closing. When I spoke with the receptionist she was honest about the possible wait times. The staff were incredibly compassionate and gentle with the dog! The vet discussed other problems she noticed (we were aware of) which tells me they examined more than just the problem. The vet explained in a manner that was understandable and answered any questions we had.what shocked me was the incredibly reasonable price for this! On par with our regular vet.
I would recommend this clinic to anybody who needs after hours care for their pet!

During the end of the pandemic, they would not let the owners come in with the pets and all that did was stress out the pets. My cat bit the vet and he has never bit anybody before in his life, He had been left waiting for a long length of time and was very distressed because he couldn't see me there. Bad move. All they had to do was make people wear a mask like everywhere else.

We brought our dog here in April 2023 and were very impressed with the care he received. The staff is outstanding - friendly and compassionate - and are happy to spend time with you explaining the options for treatment. It is apparent that the comfort and wellbeing of the animals is top of mind. We did need to bring our dog two days in a row, and I was (happily) surprised that I didn't need to re-hash the whole history for a different vet on the second night - they already knew the situation and could pick up seamlessly where we left off the previous day. I can't say enough good things about this animal hospital, and will only bring my animals here should the need arise. If cost is an issue, we found them to be quite reasonable for what we needed, especially for an emergency hospital. Highly recommended!

Dr Jamie was so kind and gentle as she explained the diagnosis for my cat, who was in quite serious condition. She answered all of my questions and gave clear instructions on how to care for him when he got home to makes sure he’d be able to recover. Her demeanour really helped reassure me in the midst of a difficult night. Thank you!

Had a wonderful experience with the vet. I waited a while but that can be expected for an emergency vet, they communicated with me throughout the process. Their intake fee is also $150 (versus $210 at the Hamilton Emerg Vet on Dundurn)

BVEH went above and beyond to accomodate us during our time of need. We truly can't express how much comfort you have provided us during a tough time with our pet. It's so incredibly evident that the team at BVEH cares about the animals they treat with such humanity and care. You have gained a lifetime supporter for your business.

My dog ate 1/4 of a Kit Kat chocolate bar and I was extremely worried. Luckily, the receptionist attended my call within the first ring. And the vet helped my dog with love and care. Thank you for you services.

Outstanding emergency medical care for your pet!

My Lab ate a man-sized glove during his leash-free time in the forest on a Sunday morning - a glove much too large to pass. I drove him to the emergency clinic while my wife phoned ahead. He was seen immediately and, a short while later, the glove made its reappearance. The veterinarian took the time to explain things and offered some recommendations.

Glad this emergency clinic was available when my Lab got himself into trouble. I would definitely use it again and would recommend it to any pet owner.

Great experience overall. I had to take my dog in last night, he was anxious, I was stressed, and the team was absolutely wonderful with him and answered my (many) questions happily helping me to better understand the situation and my options. I had also called earlier asking questions, and they were super friendly and helpful with my questions and concerns. Yes, you pay more for the services - but that is typical of any business operating outside of normal hours. The team was so supportive and that is just so valued at a time of stress. The wait was luckily a lot better than I had anticipated too, but like any emergency room experience, there is always a potential for a wait. I would not hesitate to bring my dog back here if needed.

Dr. Kiera and the team at BVERH were stunning. Compassionate, caring, delicate and upfront with our situation. It was with great sadness to lose Nadia over spleen cancer but I’ve come out from the experience with more knowledge, understanding, and love. Dr. Kiera was able to answer all my questions and help me better understand what the cancer meant. The process went smoothly and I had private time to spend with the sweetest, shyest, stubborn baby I could know. When I say stubborn, I’m sure it’s what kept her from showing worse signs and being able to stay oh so strong. If there is ever a time in the future I will need their services, I would trust any furbabies with this team.

Very arrogant staff, they treat the pet badly. They don’t allow people in their receptions area, they met me outside in the cold, all masks covered they still live in covid time
Yet their prices are extremely high

Highly intelligent, vet student Joleen and vet Jen Websdale. I trust them to come back again, for sure. Saved me money by zeroing in on the neurological assessment findings of lack of proprioception despite my emotional insistence that the cat had a broken leg. Discharge instructions on vestibular disease a nice touch as well. SO happy!

Come here if you want your pet to die! Rude receptionist at the front who rolled her eyes at me and scolding me for not seeing the sign on the door that says do not Enter.sorry my dog was in distress I wasn’t paying attention I was more worried about my poor dog.

I dont even know what happened…i called at 2am because my cat was vomiting a lot and wouldn’t eat for days. I called someone picks up and they dont say anything. I say hello and the person sounded like a 5 year old kid and said hi. I was so confused and I asked if I can take my cat in. The kid just said “we’re closed right now. ” Is this not an emergency clinic? I don’t even know what just happened.

What's the point of calling yourself an emergency clinic if you never have a doctor on staff to help in case of emergency. Incredibly disappointing to hear this.

Everyone here is amazing. They offered our cat so much care and compassion when she was in heart failure, which also offered us support in the process. Thank you so much for being there!

Had to take my dog in the middle of the night with severe pain, although they were full they still took him and treated him. While we were there another family came because they had to put their dog down, you could see the vet and nurse were struggling with it along with the family. Professional, very friendly and caring.

Don’t have enough wonderful things to say about this team. We have a very vet-anxious pup and the BVERH team has gone above and beyond to keep her (and us) feeling calm. They go the extra mile to explain the situation and ensure that you understand their diagnosis and next steps. You can truly feel how much they care about every patient and the passion they have for what they do. Thank you so much team!

Absolutely horrible. Called the night before and was told to come in at 8: 00am The next morning. Was then told the vet isn’t in till 9: 00 so waited 1 hour and then was told it sounds too serious and they can’t treat it there and to call around if can’t find somewhere call back. So called back cause couldn’t find another place to take him and they told us they are at capacity and can’t be seen. Don’t waste your time go somewhere else.

I was made to sit in my car for 4 1/2 hours in 34 degree heat while waiting for the vet to see my dog. I could have gone home (7 minutes away) but they wouldn't leave my dog in the queue if I wasn't physically on their property. Completely ridiculous. I wouldn't dream of going back. Terrible customer service. I finally asked for my dog back so i could take her to a vet who had some common sense. I therefore can't comment on the veterinarian.

Took my cat here because he was bleeding quite a bit from his fresh neutering incisions. Waiting 3 hours for them to tell me he was in fact bleeding from where I said, but in writing. Then quoted me 700$ on the low end to do anything other than just looking at him. They also said they could not properly look at him because he moved around too much for them to inspect. So in short, I got charged 170$ to sit in their parking lot for 3 hours and for them to "take his vitals. " Their excuse for the 700$ quote for their low end when the quote for the original surgery quote for the high end was only 500$, was they use different brands.

I can not say enough about this wonderful place! Dr Websdale (hope I’m spelling this right) and Diana at the front are amazing and so helpful, leaving my little guy Ilia was so hard for me and Dr Wesdale made me feel so reassured he was in good hands, the morning staff was also super helpful and friendly. They are amazing with updates and let you call and check in even at 2am when your mind makes your worries for your fur babies. Thank you the whole team for taking such great care of my baby?

We brought our cat here for an early eve emergency and spent hours and hours here.on the floor.waiting for forward motion but the wasted time was pathetic. Money grab.could have saved us time too. Do yourselves a favour, GO DIRECTLY TO OVC Guelph (small animal) or Mississauga Oakville Veterinary Emergency Hospital. There's only 2! CUT OUT the middle men! On top of having a sick pet, this other family dropped off a sick animal they found, left then called back to see if wifey lost her wallet somewhere at this clinic (NO). Her husband and son back to harass/accuse me of stealing trophy wife's wallet! SEARCHED my truck too! They wouldn't leave me alone kept harassing me! I called the cops.even the staff here didn't help me! B%$&h called her husband back and said she found the wallet at home and they left. No apologies! 2k here. 32k at Guelph OVC. FU

Our cat had an emergency at night and they said to bring him right in when I called. They started working on him right away and were very compassionate and knowledgeable. They got him sorted out and reassured us that he would be okay. Would definitely return to this hospital if ever necessary and would highly recommend them to anyone needing emergency care!

After having a couple of days to gather my thoughts, I felt it necessary to write a review about the wonderful, amazing, caring staff at the emergency clinic. I rushed there Thursday morning with my kitten Mufass who was having cardiac issues. I got there in time for them to heart 2 heart beats and then he was gone. It  was obvious to me  that this wasn't just another animal to them, I could tell they cared. They did everything they could. They cleaned him up and let me say my final good bye to him. I am so very grateful that they were there and that they tried. I feel horrible that we were the last animal seen that day since I came in right before close. They let me take my time I didn't feel rushed and I felt they cared. If ever you have an emergency with your beloved pet, go here, don't waste time going anywhere else. I wish I had known they were there, if I had then the outcome might of been different for my Mufasa.   Again, thank you everyone there. You truly are an amazing team and thank you for all your hard work.

The staff here are absolutely incredible! Our baby Raven spent 3 nights in a row here when we first got her; tail wagging each time we dropped her off. Doctor Lisa S.is our super hero. She was amazing at keeping us calm during a hard time, explained everything that she was going to do for Raven, and most importantly made Raven feel comfortable there. The staff fell in love with our baby girl instantly, and Lisa made sure we knew it! We know Raven is always going to be in safe hands if we ever have to bring her here again!

I want to thank Diane and Dr. Websdale for their awesome service last night. I took my pup Carl in as he was having cluster seizures. I was told over the phone there is a 2-4 hour wait - completely understandable - just like human emerg! We can't go in with the pups but I sat in my car - Diane was very friendly and professional and she took Carl in right away - where he was watched over and given treats! - Dr. Websdale was practical and personable - didn't push anything and gave me reasonable options for his care.

I was referred to this place after many calls with 24 emergency clinics and I'm absolutely grateful. Heather (Receptionist) was very nice and patient with me. Lisa who take care of my cat, gave me the necessary tips and steps of what to do next. They're also very caring and affordable place to go! Definitely reccomended

After calling 7 other vet offices they were able to take our senior cat Cosmo in while he was in medical distress. He was struggling to breathe and we were devastated. As soon as we arrived Julie rushed to the car and scooped his carrier up and ran him in to see the vet. Sadly Cosmo passed and we had no idea what to do. The clinci allowed us some time to gain composure before going through the next steps. We are thankful that Cosmo was in their care for his last moments. The staff was amazing. Thank you again Julie for being there in our time of need.

Customer service is everything.

When we initially dropped off our dog we were told it might be up to an hour as there was a couple of dogs in front of ours but that the vet had looked at our dog and he was stable. Was then told to hang tight.

Laura (I believe was her name) was extremely rude when asked 2 hours in for an emergency visit how our dog was doing. She called us liars, it was our fault and that we should expect to wait a minimum of 6-8 hours in the parking lots on a very hot day.with no updated to be expected.

It's unfortunate, I love to support small business locally but poor customer service, lack of training and management are evident here.

I will be looking for another emergency vet clinic that I can ensure will take care of my dog and a vet I would be happy to refer and recommend.

Thank you Dr. Stephanie Dam for helping our sick little cat Buster. You gave us all the details of his condition to help make an informed decision. He was treated with kindness and respect until the end. We will always be grateful for that. Covid has changed so many things we couldn't get a vet after moving and could see so many people were in the same situation. This hospital didn't hesitate to help which made the wait time long. Though no wait is too long for our beloved pet. We wish you and all the staff the best in your future. Time for the tears and the grieving to begin for us.

The staff here is resiliant and more reliable than any other place when you need help for your pet. They have empathy and will not turn away your crisis. When I picked up my dog he left the building with a pep in his step and I knew he was well cared for. I am very greatful for this clinic.

According to the receptionist there was an approximately eight hour waiting time. Considering it’s an emergency vet, that’s a very long time. Very nice staff on call though who suggested other locations to visit.

They were very caring with my ill cat. They also do a very good job at keeping you informed on the treatment they're providing.

Good Morning, I can't thank you enough for the care and love we received last evening when we had to say goodbye to Sami and comfort her as she crossed the Rainbow Bridge. Your staff was beyond exceptional, especially during this challenging time with COVID-19. It is never easy saying goodbye to our loved ones / family members but you were incredible. We know this is an emergency hospital and patients are triaged and looked after based on severity and YOU WERE BUSY, but we never felt left out in the dark or rushed. You gals truly ROCKED it last night and coming out to greet each patient with a smile behind those masks and love in your voice.

Staff was very courteous/polite was quick to get our furbaby in had to wait for a few hours but they were extremely busy. Vet called after the exam and was very thorough with explaining the diagnosis and treatment. Will definitely go back as the price was very reasonable for an emergency visit.

This having been our first experience taking our dog to the emergency vet, I wasn't quite sure what to expect but the staff at BVERH are professional, knowledgeable, thorough and compassionate! Sure wait times can be very long but that's at no fault of the hospital, it really depends on the number of patients in the queue. Hoping I won't need a reason to return in the future but if I ever did, I trust that our dog is under amazing care!

They took our dog in after she got a bug gash in her side while playing in the forest. Great care, even if they seemed overwhelmed that day. The price was affordable for what was done and care was good. Our girl was all stitched and stapled and getting back to herself.

Last week we had to take our 8 month old pup here.
The staff and vets were nothing but compassionate, helpful, professional and knowledgeable.
Our pup was with them for 2 days and nights and we were provided timely updates. When we called for updates, they were very professional and patient with us.

First i would like to say that i am extremely saddened by the way i was treated at a very sensitive time with covid and my family losing our home. I had come to stay with my sister with my daughter and her kitty LiZZIE who is 1yr and 8months old. My daughter got her for hwr 8th birthday and she loves her so much.
Unfortunately our Lizzie had a very bad accident and had to be rushed to the hospital since she had falling 7stories from a baloncy. So upon arriving the young girl at the door took lizzie right away and was so sqeet and caring. 3hrs later at 2am the vet called me and informed me that lizzie would need lots of care but that they needed $2500 now. Im sorry but im a single mother and i am staying with my sister for now cause i lost everything aftwr lising my job 6months ago. I was told i had no choice but to pay the money or surrender my Cat ro spca. I wasnt wanting to give lizzie up since my daughter didnt know yet about the accident cause i was trying to save her the heartache. I was rold i xould not even call to check on her status after i filled out the paperwork. So since i didnt have $4000 for vet bills i had to make the hard decision to surrender hwr so she xould get the care she needed, or she would have been euthanized by the vet.

I have teied 10 rimes ro leave messages to get an update on lizzie, i just want ro know if she is ok but nope the manager stephanie from spca oakville milton sayins lizzie is no longer mine. So now how do i tell my daughter and what should i say?
