Great little shop to get your fresh meat, deli, cheese, fruits and bread that is warm in the morning since they make it in the house! I have never tried cooked meals from their hot table, but they do look tempting!
I can’t believe what I experienced. The guy from meat department was cleaning the floor with apron and he served the sausages without changing the gloves. I ask him twice that he is going to use the same gloves but he was acting like I’m talking to myself. Stupid me I took the sausages like I have no choice. Might be that he was busy with cleaning so I interrupt him and the store was about to close at 9pm. I’m very disappointed because this is my favorite store, but now I have to be careful and suspicious about buying any food there. What a shame. Friday night shift 19August-2022.
As the name suggests the majority of this grocery is dedicated to produce, and it's all good quality stuff too, but if you're looking for dry goods you won't find as large a selection so just be aware of that. The deli has a huge selection of meats and cheese and they also do have a great bakery with fresh bread and pastries.
I picked up a surprise bag from the app Too Good to Go, I thought it would be a small parcel but to my surprise it was about a 30 lb box of produce consisting of a great variety of fruits and vegetables.
I travel from Brampton to buy my meats at Burnhamthorpe Fruit Market. I like fact that the chicken, pork and meats have no hormones and fillers! Highly recommend their ready made seasoned hamburger patties! Delish!
Local independant fruit market and grocery store. So convenient with the fish market and in an accessible plaza. There are great deals and fresh fruit you can pick up to eat that day
This is a great store, which we regularly shop at for nearly 9 years. Some items are slightly more expensive than other stores, but most items I regularly buy are cheaper and are of MUCH better quality than other stores. I love their cheese selection, the meats are locally sourced and are of very good quality. Best place to buy ground chuck for burgers. In the fall this is the best place to buy farm fresh apples, they have at leadt 10 varieties of local apples.
Your veal wieners are dog food.really try them.dont put your name on those.for a place with good quaility veggies the weiners bring you down.why did i buy two packs ugggg.
Nice selection of fruits and vegetables. Mostly of good quality and fair prices with some really good deals. They also have baked goods with breads and pies, and a meat section which I did not have time to check out.
A very good selection of fresh foods, good quality meats, cold cuts and cheese and very reasonable pricing, the 1960 European market feel adds to the shopping experience.
There is always something special about a great family run businesses. This place proves that excellent personalized service with quality product and fair prices will last for generations. Highly recommend!
Super fresh produce. Experienced butcher. A bit of a drive from where we live but it is worth the drive cause it has it all. Butcher, fresh baked goods, hot table and hight quality fruits and vegetables.
Great place to buy the groceries and fresh produce.super friendly employees.its like all of them are a single family.super cozy place to find all the stuffs you need.staff are polite and ready to help.smaller things they do to make your shopping experience amazing.made my day i will be back soon.
I'm always impressed with the quality of the produce at this Market. Better than your premium grocery stores and price is very competitive with lots of great deals on fruit, meat and the deli! Love shopping here!
Since moving to the neighbourhood 7 years ago, this had become are most frequented market. We still go to a big grocery store for some things, like dry goods, but when it comes to items like deli and meat, you just can't beat the quality. They also have some great fresh baked chocolate danishes that are amazing. The pizza dough is perfect and makes homemade pizza so much easier and tasty.
Visited on Easter Sunday. HANDICAP parking spot (outside reworked entrance) the signage (blue painted symbol) was covered with mats, and had flowers (standing on parking spot). When I complained to the (supposed) manager, I was asked to leave the store (which I did). When I then informed him that I would be filing a complaint with the property owner, I was threatened with bodily removal, and told to leave the the mall parking lot. Manager and another employee followed me to my vehicle (questioning me as to if I even had a handicap permit - which I do). Words were exchanged. I then exited the property. However, as I was leaving (the supposed) manager threw something at my car (which bounced off my roof), I then saw him pick up item he had thrown. I WILL NEVER shop there again.
I will be filing written complaints with mall property owner, local and provincial governments (licensing) ; as well as the organization overseeing handicap permits.
The management of the Burnhamthorpe Market have no respect for the handicap laws in Ontario. They don't deserve my business (OR YOURS).
Would be 5 stars but I feel if you are going to be open at a certain time then all produce should be out at that time I asked for some kale and the man snapped at me saying if its not out then no.
NOT Covid-19 compliant AT ALL, by far the worse business I've been into since the pandemic started. Went in today, one staff member stocking shelves right beside the checkout lane with no mask. A second person, a young fellow that I assume was the owner's family was running around the business with no mask while blowing air through his lips making "motor boat" noises (no doubt spraying spittle about). Yet another staff member stocking fruit with her mask on her chin. Total shame - I won't be returning. Wondering why the Ministry hasn't been in, I see in reviews that this isn't the first complaint.
Great choices of fruit and fresh. The meat Choices for cold cuts are plentiful. Vegetables too are fresh and lots of variety. More so than say Metro. Never disappointed.
Its still a great store, but wanted to put 3 star to hopefully draw attention of owners that the meat quality went down from 5 to 3. The steak prices only going up, it they are not AAA. They are AA. Something changed 2 years ago and nice, tender, melt in mouth steaks turned into chewy low quality cuts.
Good impression for fresh fruits and meat with quality reasonably priced local products. I prefer the smaller stores now as I can get in and out more quickly. I can also say that their meat selection is better than most grocery store I've been too. The place has some organic options.
4 employees without masks, including the manager. Complaints have been directed to the proper authorities. These practices are entirely unsafe and jeopardize the safety of the patrons who keep this store in business.
Good selection of seasonal fruit and veggies, fresh meat and deary, good cheese selection.whole wheat croissants that are heavenly good and cannot be found anywhere else. Highly recommend!
White cherries 14.99 a pound and they were not fresh! watermelon 17 dol, same watermelon (same sticker) 11,99 a pcs Very expensive store, I think the most expensive store that I know
July 20,2020. Staff behind counter not wearing COVID 19 mandatory masks, while cutting meat cheese etc. People entering store all had their masks on. Fruit and meat counter all overpriced, I will not return to this store.
From all grocery stores this is my favourite place to quickly grab my essentials. Store is very convenient, not too big and has always fresh vegetables.
Always fresh quality meats, fruits, vegetables and breads. Also has a yummy hot table if your on the go. I don't even live in Mississauga but when Im there I always get some buns and meats for the kid for a Monday school lunch.
Love this place although it is pricey. However, today I bought some grape leaf wraps from the deli section, went home and realized it was completely spoiled and rancid. It was disgusting and must have been sitting out there for quite some time because this product typically does not spoil fast. Be careful buying "fresh" products!
Great independent place. Good quality produce at a good price. Great bakery, good deli. Friendly staff. The cash area is a little tight but that's my only complaint.
Abundant choices for fruits and vegetables. The old European lady behind the meat counter way very nice and friendly. She helped me with all of my questions. I go here every week to buy fruits but now I will start buying chicken too.
Love their fresh baked breads and their antipasto. I go there every weekend for their Olive and Chive Buns, variety of Olives, stuffed peppers and stuffed Jalapenos.
Feels like a farmer's market. Their fresh baked croissants are the best I've ever ate. Actually my expectations for croissants has leveled up. Won't take less than.
Really very great place to shop fresh fruits and veggies. Attractively arranged everything and store baked or made goodies available. I shop here every week and love this place
Way over priced for the quality they provide. Found much better products for less in the same plaza. The owner also treats staff terribly. I felt bad for the employees while there.
Best "small town" feel grocery store Has the best bread selection- if you come early! Choc.croissants are very good. Savory pastries are very good as well. Deli and Meat selection is wonderful- best steaks in town for a reasonable cost. Just tried the "smoked salmon" WOW! Rate it 2nd in the city! Overall- friendly, reasonably priced, great quality. A store that has been around for years and years!
