One of my favorite poke bowl place in Ottawa, really tasty, you also have a lot of options, staff is very friendly.

Awesome experience and delicious food. The burrito sushis were bigger than expected as well.

I order from here regularly and the food is always great regardless of whether you eat in (which you should…it’s lovely!) or take out. One time my takeout order got messed up on a particularly busy night and the manager refunded my entire meal the next day (even though I wasn’t expecting much to happen).

The staff, service, and menu is always amazing and it really is a gem in this city.

Tuna poke; roe was fishy, tangy sauce don’t go well, need one soy sauce drizzled over to make it better, some tuna had tough membrane

Amazing atmosphere- nothing like I've seen yet in Ottawa. The food was great, still not large blocks of tuna like I'm used to for a poke bowl, but larger than average for Ottawa.

The staff was amazing. Our server was Kamyl and I would love to have her again, so fun and professional?

Noone speaks nihongo here but the food was served with a smile. Tasty japanese izakaya food. Not bad.

Sweet potato croquettes mushy and cold. Salmon burrito was not appetizing. The pork belly was inedible. Miso soup was cold and flavourless.

Their poke bowls are excellent and very customizable! Their sushi burritos are pretty unique and taste very good. They also have vegetarian friendly options.

Got the Gyu Don (Simmered beef rice bowl), not very impressed. It was takeout so maybe their dine-in is better, but while the beef itself was fine the rest of the toppings-some onion I think, and what was either beansprouts or vermicelli, can't be sure-had been over-cooked into a mushy mess of unidentifiable pieces. All of it was squishy and none of it was particularly appetizing.

Rice was good though. Would be willing to try it again dine-in someday and hope it won't be as overcooked and just.ehck.

I haven't had the chance to dine in here yet with the pandemic, but I've gotten takeout several times and the poke bowls are delicious as well as super fresh and nice to look at! The sweet potato croquette side is also really good. They have their own convenient and user-friendly portal for online ordering as well, which is nice.

I absolutely LOVE this place! By far the best poke bowl in Ottawa. I've also had the onigiri, and the takoyaki. All incredibly good quality and great amount of food for the price. Even though it was takeout our food was beautifully presented. Top notch Japanese bar/snack food!

Burrito Sensei for me has been a religious experience. EVERY. SINGLE. TIME. They are doing something incredible with their menu, and I am living for it. The Kakuni Don (pork belly rice bowl) is indescribably delicious; the pork just dissolves in your mouth. The burrito's are fantastic and well portioned. I can't hype them up more. 10/10 would recommend.

Ingredients are always fresh, flavorful, and delivering satisfaction. Waitresses are polite. It's my favorite restaurant in Ottawa, where I genuinely feel gemütlich.

Tried out burrito sensei for lunch with some friends. All of us enjoyed our meals. The wraps were tasty and the ingredients were fresh. Everything was made to order and you could tell nothing was premade.
For the poke bowls and wraps, you have a choice of brown or white rice. That was a nice option to have.
I wish there could’ve been a bit more sweet potato in the wrap as there was only one piece in it with the rest being greens/veggies.
Would’ve just added more to the wrap as it is the sweet potato cannon wrap but really it was only ~15% of the wrap.

At this time, they are only providing dine in services for dinner and take out for lunch. Service was slow for our takeout order. We were told 15 mins for our order but it took about half an hour. Just be prepared for a wait if going for lunch. There were only two staff working during their lunch rush which was unfortunate for them as it got quite busy for just two people.

This spot is truly a great discovery! Sushi burrito? Uh yesss please! They have two great vegetarian burrito options (they have ramen as well) but my favorite is the "Sweet Potato Cannon", so filling and delicious. The size is really good (one huge roll cut in half). They are around 12$ for a burrito. The spot is pretty dark and quiet but nothing bad ;) we order from them quite often and it is always so good.

Not really impressive at all. Pretty bland food. Missing items on the last order. If the portions were smaller I would not have spend this much time wondering why I am still eating this.

I've only ever purchased the Sushi Burritos and absolutely LOVE them! Consistently delicious every time and my coworkers are now all hooked. However, it does seem to take a really long time for them to make food. I went recently right after they opened and there were only two other people there and it still took a long time for food to come. Worth the wait though!

The sushi burritos are to die for. They get you filled up insanely. Best bang for your buck. Quality is really good also. Atmosphere is great, awesome for a date and perfect to share laughs and have some fun. Friday they have awesome deals. Highly recommend you ask for sake bombs also. Great way to get your dinner started.

The idea of sushi burrito is very cool, but traditional sushi is better in my opinion. You do get a big portion when you purchase a sushi burrito, so you shouldn't be hungry after. They do make great Tako yaki too

Maybe I ordered the wrong dish, but I had the salmon sushi burrito and didn’t care for it at all. I would have much rather preferred traditional sushi.

Ate twice at the Japanese restaurant and was not disappointed both times! Not from Ottawa but I’ll make sure to come back here when I’m in town!

Had a salmon poke bowl from here. Would not recommend. The bowl was mostly huge hard chunks of kale, with very little salmon. There was a lot of pieces of tangerine also which overpowered the other ingredients. Very little rice also. Pretty much paid for a bowl of raw kale and tangerines. I've heard the burritos are good here but would not get a poke bowl here again.

It's a great place if you want a fusion Japanese kitchen. Portions are relatively small, good for a hungry, but not very hungry, person.

This place is so yummy! I got one burrito and this cool pancake thing to share with my girlfriend and they cut the burrito in half so it would be easier to share! Great service, yummy food! Such a sensuous experience!

I ordered a poke bowl to go to take on my train home at the end of a business trip. They even wrote me a little message; how sweet. The poke was great - good balance of ingredients and they didn’t skimp on the more expensive ones. I added the ricotta tofu to my order because my brother said it was good. He was right, it was some of the best tofu I’ve ever had. I would therefore recommend this restaurant to vegetarians and vegans. Really great price to quality ratio and a staff that obviously cares about putting a smile on the face of their clients. I will return next time I’m in Ottawa.

The most fun you'll have after work. Endeavor to eat everything on the menu over the course of a few months. Get the grilled smelts, you can't go wrong.

This place is good! I always get salmon or tuna pokebowl. Food tastes good, service is fast, place is also clean.

Food was good, service was polite and fast. However I do find it kind of odd to get charged extra for Sriracha. When I am paying close to $15 for lunch I do not feel it is necessary for a restaurant to nickle and dime you over a low price condiment. I find this a huge turn off when going to restaurants.

The ambiance was superb. It really felt like a Japanese tavern. The food was great: we were there for supper and enjoyed everything (except this wasabi octopus thing, but that was just one small plate). The service was also great. Would highly recommend.

Dashed in for a quick take-out bite after work and before a trip. Apparently they are only take-out until 5 p.m. The sushi/burrito was perfectly what I needed. And I will definitely be back for after 5 drinks. If cotton candy is your thing, they have a machine there for your enjoyment.

I came here for a team lunch and the food is amazing. Burrito sushi mix is a genius idea and very tasty. Strongly recommend

I really like it here. Lots of dark wood and comfortable corners to sit.

Food is fresh and high quality. I particularly like customizing a poke bowl. They have little checklist sheets to fill out rather than dictating to a server.

It can be a bit expensive, but to be expected for the quality I guess.

The sweet potato cannon sushi burrito is the best vegetarian sushi I’ve had in Ottawa, and the staff are super friendly as well, highly recommend.

Honestly this is such a wonderful place to eat while conversating amongst your friends.

Everything from the environment, given atmosphere and the service provided is a warm and welcoming place, where you basically feel like family almost instantly.

Especially with the prices being fair as with the portioning, it's almost as if you're getting more than you pay for compared to most restaurants

The food was provided hot/cold as intended to an appropriate level, and exceeded the expectations of what I predicted from just the pictures alone on the menu.

I had ordered the Soba noodles that was provided with Japanese pickles and wasabi on the side as well as their own homemade sauce, and I honestly hadn't enjoyed a soba like this in a long time. Everything from the quality of the noodles to the harmonic taste given from the sauce which wasn't overpowering made me actually crave it more due to it disappearing so quickly, only to find myself with an empty bowl.

Food Expectations: 5/5
As shown on the menu, they have pictures to display everything listed on the menu, as they intend to feed your palette before they do your stomach, which allows you to crave and wait in excitement for your food, and as everyone knows there has been times where you've been disappointed with what you are given compared to what was shown, but this time it actually managed to exceed my expectations put.

Atmosphere: 5/5 (Comfy)
The atmosphere is a nice wooden traditional type place sticking with its Japanese tradition, as well as warm lighting and soft lo-fi background music which isn't too overpowering allowing everyone to talk comfortably rather than having to shout.
