Burro

A friend and I met up at Burro for a light meal to catch up. We were that table that took a while to order and eat as we hadn’t seen each other in over a year. The server didn’t rush us at all.

The food came fast and tasted great. It’s perfect for any type of appetite as you order per taco.

It was refreshing to see the general manager out serving and cleaning tables along with our server, and took the time to chat with us.

Just dropped by for a quick bite, got 3 tacos each. I had the brisket, pork, and fish. Brisket was great solid 7.4, same with the Pork, 7.3 for the fish. Service was also great, fast, attentive, no complaints. Will definitely come back, definitely worth checking out!

Delicious tacos and killer margaritas. Accommodated my food intolerances of gluten, dairy, soy and egg no problems! Fun atmosphere and very quick service. A great place for a quick bite or a fun date.

Excellent service all the staff had been out standing and the food was excellent.
It was the first time we had dined there.

The fish tacos and margaritas and chips and guacamole amazing! We defiantly will be back.

I introduced 3 other people to Burro. We all have food sensitivities, and the results were unanimous! Everyone enjoyed their food, felt well after, and would return for another great meal.

Great spot for amazing Mexican food. Service is top notch and they make the best Margaritas in town. Also impressed with their allergy awareness and attention to detail.

My husband and I came here yesterday to celebrate his birthday and we had such a great time! Our server Liv was wonderful and went above and beyond to make our experience a memorable one. Thank you Liv and the Burro team for our great birthday celebration!

Yeah just don’t bother … we had a kid 9 years who wanted to eat a sandwich it from the restaurant and they did not let us, we ended up having our party split between the kid and the mother eating at the restaurant door and the rest of the party eating inside.what the hell

Great food and drinks. Ask about the weekly specials. The halloumi tacos and the pork belly and chorizo nachos were amazing.

Went here with my celiac partner and another friend. The place is quaint, small, but good quality fresh food. The main draw here is a dedicated gluten free kitchen. However, they do serve beer which is not celiac friendly (eg corona, XX, etc). I had the nachos which were a small to medium
Portion good for one person as a meal, but good quality ingredients and very fresh. Others had fish tacos (good), halloumi tacos (great), and the cease and desist taco (average). You pay per taco, about $6, nachos were around $18, cocktails around 12-16 bucks. I had a winter bourbon cocktail that was pretty good. Dessert was “churros” and ice cream - more like a waffle really, but not bad. Our celiac person didn’t get sick, so that’s always a win. One negative is the limited seating when the patio is closed. The place can maybe hold 20 people at best, so you’re best to book ahead. The waitress was kind enough to sit us at the bar, which was reasonable and not too crowded. Will return.

Authentic food. Great service. Fair prices. Consistent year-after-year. Will be back soon!

I was excited to try Burro when I was in Burlington for work. Even more excited when I found out it was owned by the Mule (Hamilton). The vibe of the restaurant is nice. I ordered Burro bravas as an appetizer to share which was delicious. They accommodated my friend's allergies and provided alternatives which was appreciated! I ordered brussel sprouts and fish tacos. I was left a little disappointed at how crunchy and dry the brussel sprouts were and the fish tacos had barely any fish in them. After pointing out the lack of fish, I was given a replacement and was also comp'd for one fish taco.

First time here, came all the way from Toronto and was treat extremely well, so well that the owner paid for my meal. Only in the area for a business meeting but will definitely come back with some freinds, to share the wonderful experience and food.

We came here because I’m currently dallying with a gluten free diet and this restaurant is 100% gluten free so that made ordering a real pleasure!
We tried 3 kinds of taco: Brussels sprouts (my partners fave), fish and chicken achiote (my fave) as well as the guacamole and the nachos. Everything was delicious, nicely presented and if you ask for modifications they are happy to accommodate you!
I could not detect that I was missing out on gluten.
Even one of the beers is gluten free and it was amazingly just like any other craft beer I’ve ever tried.
After all that food, we tried one of each dessert and oh my! Both were our favourite dishes of the night! It was clever to cook the churros in a waffle iron and they were every bit as good as the real deal from Mexico! The banana cheesecake was less cheesecake and more “banana pie” in my opinion but was the perfect antidote to the spice of earlier!
Our servers were attentive and fun and we never felt unwelcome! We will return here next time in Burlington! Thank you!

They need to bring back the chorizo

25june2023 ordered ubereats and had to throw away two (chips and guac, chorizo nachos) out of three orders. The chips were burnt and inedible. Ubereats does not refund or replace for these types of issues
