My husband and I were to set to renew our mortgage this year. After taking time to shop around, we chose Butler Mortgage who was able to offer us the most competitive rate and excellent service. Thank you!

The rate was insane The Rate was 3% Higher than any other lender Very poor returning phone calls.i had people to go to this company but i re-routed them to some one else.i gave them simple instructions that a 2 year old could follow but butler mortgage was not able to.i will post later excactly what happened. STEVE FERIN AND HIS ASSISTANT WERE NOT GREAT AT RETURNING PHONE CALLS. THEY MAY HAVE SLIGHTLY LOWER RATES THAN BANKS BUT YOU PEOPLE FORGET THEY CHARGE HIGH COMMISIONS

I called them for a mortgage inquiry back in 2021. When I asked them about a fixed 7 years mortgage given that the rates are at an all time low, they essentially laughed at me and said no one does that and 5 years is the way to go. At that point I relied on their expertise as this is their job, but in retrospective I should have followed my gut given the current rates.

I renewed/title changed my mortgage with Butler Mortgage mid last year after hearing about them on the radio. Did my due diligence by shopping around but Butler mortgage offered the best product at the time. The costs associated with the title change (lawyer fees, appraisal etc.) were pretty decent compared to what i was finding otherwise. There was some confusion regarding the lawyer fee where I ended up paying extra upfront from what was initially agreed upon, but once Ron got involved it was all sorted out and I got a refund for the extra payment. Overall it was a good experience, everyone I dealt with was highly professional. Have recommended other people at my workplace to them as well. I also watch Ron's Angry Mortgage that started few months ago when i have a chance, should check it out as well. His Twitter feeds are also really good.lots to learn and educate yourself about. Keep up the good work!

Horrible experience having a conversation with them. Don't call them if you have questions about interest rates or affordability based on your income. There are other players in the market that will give you that information right on the phone call. I will not be revengeful and name the rep here, but he literally came across as I was wasting his time and he had better things to do.

I had a great experience working with Butler Mortgage. I shopped around when mortgage rates started to climb and my bank would not guarantee a rate nor get back to me in a timely manner, so I switched to Butler who offered excellent service and competitive rates. Highly recommend!

Very on organized. Was my second time using them and I wouldn’t use them again I kept getting switched to different agents when originally I started with Ron, whom I thought I would be using. There was miscommunication about the documents that they required causing a lot of stress and dealing with multiple people didn’t help the situation either. Overall, my mortgage was approved, but it was a very stressful situation, staff were not friendly therefore would not recommend this company.

What a wonderful experience during these tough times. The Butler crew took the time to explain the whole process, secured us the mortgage, and my wife and I bought the house of our dreams. We are very thankful to the team for making our dream a reality.

The worst first time home buying experience I could’ve ever imagined. Tara Evans mismanaged my closing to the point where it almost didn’t, was not informed my initial rate had an expiration and expired 2 weeks before my closing date leaving me with the option of a rate much higher or variable. To which will convinced me of going variable, since then my mortgage has gone up over $1200 a month. Run, don’t walk, away from this broker. They couldn’t care less about you, just volume.

Such a horrible experience dealing with this company. They were very misleading and dishonest. We are currently dealing with a lot on our plate having a child undergoing serious medical treatments. We were really in need of a good brokerage that would help us and take the weight of looking for mortgages off of our shoulders. I made an error while filling out an application, which we discussed and fixed over the phone afterwards. They encouraged us to sign off some waiver that we are only dealing with them, and afterwards, they shut us down and were not looking to help us any longer 10 days before our mortgage terms was over. Their service was just horrible. I am not one to write reviews, but in this case I felt I needed to as I would like to encourage others to stay away. I wish we did. Our broker was Cody Gagnon who was very cold and unprofessional.

They immediately contacted me and offered me the same rate what they mentioned on their website. Their rate was the best. Found Butler because they offered the lowest rate on comparison website. The process was straightforward.

The overall process was smooth. I found out their lowest rate from their website. Compared that with other brokers to ensure they were really the lowest. Then called them. First call was with their sales person. He confirmed the rate, and then sent me an email confirmation along with copies of all the fine print documents for me to review.
After I read them and was happy with all the terms, then I completed the online application.
After the verification of application by Butler, I received a commitment form for Butler to be signed.
Then the appraiser visited our house to take measurements.
This was followed by actual mortgage documents from the lender.
The lender then confirmed the income and all and then the process was handed over to FCT for the final signature and legal paperwork.
Everything moved very smoothly and there were no hick ups.
Very happy with their service and follow ups. Will definitely recommend them to other friends.

Having worked with several mortgage brokers before, I can recommend Butler for several reasons. First, we shopped around and confirmed that they do in fact provide the best rates. Second, they answered all of my queries about our mortgage within a reasonable timeframe. Third, others I know have had problems with other brokerages. For instance, some who recently obtained a mortgage with another broker were frustrated to learn that while the broker promised them a set rate, she never provided them with the necessary paperwork to lock in at that rate (they misunderstood and assumed her offer was a commitment because she never provided them with an application to complete). This cost them several thousand dollars over the life of their mortgage as rates went up before they received the necessary paperwork. Go with Butler.or at least, give them a call!
