Great for a date night.
Food was delicious. We got 4 dishes between the 2 of us plus the Habibi Marguerite and everything was so yummy. Portions are not large but just enough. Halloumi with sweet, nutty, and perfectly fried. Fried chicken was Crispy with a delicious sauce. Truffle rice was just truffley enough. Greens were simple but needed for balance.
The service was excellent and ambience is date-worthy

As I find it to be true for many restaurants, appetizers are often the best part of the meal. Fried eggplant appetizer was absolutely delicious. Order it, order more than one serving - it is that good. Branzino was sort of bland and presentation was underwhelming. Just a deboned grilled fish on a plate, a bare plate I must say, with nothing else on it. Side order of truffle and mushroom rice saved the day, I enjoyed it way more than fish. Lamb shoulder was quite good. It came with several sauces/condiments and very thin pita bread. It was good, although claims of being garnished with pomegranate seeds and chickpeas were just that - claims, there were very few of those on the plate. 3 dishes were more than enough for 2 people. Cocktails - nice, refreshing, we tried 3 different kinds. Pleasant atmosphere, lighting was perfect. Music seemed a bit off - techno would not be my choice for a sit down dinner, perhaps something more relaxed would be more enjoyable, but it wasn't a deal breaker either. I will visit again.

Not sure what everyone else is raving about. The food was average at best. The portions are small for the price you pay and the servers are not respectful. Would not recommend at all. You will walk out of this place hungry, even after spending a good amount.

Some of the best tasting food I've ever had.
The halibut was the highlight dish - just incredible. The menu is fairly expensive but worthwhile for a special occasion.

I wish I could give zero stars. I’m hoping our experience was a one off occurrence, given so many rave reviews. We had a reservation for 5: 30 PM, and got in our orders by 6: 00 PM or so. After bringing out a couple of appetizers and drinks almost immediately, it was like our server forgot about the rest of our order. After about 30 mins of waiting, we politely asked our server whether we could get the rest of our food, as we had a show to catch soon. The waitress indicated that our food will be right out. Another 30 mins went by, with no signs of food. During this time our waitress kept leading us on, saying that the food should be ready momentarily. We finally just asked for our food to be packed as we were getting quite late for our movie. After saying that she’ll get our food packed, our waitress came back out a couple of mins later to say that it wasn’t possible! Clearly, the kitchen hadn’t started prepping our food at all - and we were quite disappointed that we were lead on for so long. We asked to speak to the manager, who in turn tried to blame the kitchen but didn’t really attempt to mend the issue. He had a distinct attitude and made us feel like our concerns weren’t valid. He did eventually agree to just not charge us for anything, given the horrendous service, but this was genuinely quite upsetting. We had to scramble to find some other food option right before our show, and it was frankly annoying that we were treated so poorly by what appeared to be an upscale restaurant.

Amazing food. Short rib is a must, and pair it with the rice. Labneh and the accompanying bread tastes so fresh. And surprisingly, the manti dumplings were delicious and I don't even like eggplant! The lamb pide was also amazing. Everything was mostly.amazing

I'd say skip the lamb shoulder, was decent but doesn't stand well compared to the short rib

Service is great but food is lacklustre. The salad had a bitterafter taste, dumplings were pretty bland and chocolate cake was as bit tasteless.
I would recommend the lamb main and the waygu pide

Second time visiting Byblos. Greeted by the front reception that was rude and annoyed we showed up 10 minutes late. Good food; had the hummous, it’s was good; bring back the wagyu hummous! Got the chicken and must say it felt like they ran out of chicken and made the dish with chicken strips instead and was disappointed. Also got the wagyu kabob and was delicious. Waitress was great; knowledgeable and friendly.

Excellent food - very well presented, unique tastes and all ingredients are extremely fresh.definitely on the pricier side, but worth it for a fancy night out.would definitely recommend the fried chicken!

The food was amazing! The service of Alex was great and she is the sweetest! Everyone should try the Black Truffle Pide its worth every bite! Definitely going back to try the second floor seats.

Great food and atmosphere. The place is quiet as well as they arent blasting loud music like all the other restaurants these days so if you wanna have a date or a quiet dinner, this is the place to be. Friendly staff too.

Really love this place. We were blown away by the food, especially the fried cauliflower dish as well as their meat offerings. Decor was nice and staff was very attentive. Dropped $500 and was well worth it and will revisit again, but may try their Yonge/Eglinton location next time.

Food tasted amazing and the ambience was so lovely. Didn't have a reservation, ended up sitting at the bar and it was such an an enjoyable experience. Can't wait to go back!

Located at the corner of Duncan and King. It is a little difficult to spot the building as no real signage - obliquely opposite Pai Restaurant.
They don’t have complimentary Valet anymore but complimentary parking at a nearby parking garage on Adelaide street.
Easter Mediterranean food. The atmosphere is very elegant and the seating is very cozy. Service was great.
Food is made fresh, and you can taste the flavour of many spices.
The manti dumplings and Brussel sprouts were excellent- great vegetarian items. The sweet jeweled rice was one of the best rice dishes I have had.
We had the roasted lamb shoulder which was great as well. The lamb was flavourful and very moist. A little extra on the salt but with the wrap and rice it balanced.

Delicious. Honestly, one of the best restaurants I've ever been to. Every dish is full of flavour and they blend in perfectly. The ambiance is beautiful too. A little expensive, but it's worth it.

Ordered 6 plates for 3 people, as recommended by our waiter and it was more than enough food. My favorites were the truffle pide & hummus royale. The roast beef was super soft and melted in my mouth - would also recommend.

Would skip on the saffron rice and fried chicken. Rice was really sweet and the fried chicken was truly mediocre at best.

Cute interior but if you get seats that are not in the centre of the restaurant, it's so dimly lit you can barely read the menu or take pictures. My pictures were taken with flash on and night mode and they're not very clear. We asked if they could increase the lighting a bit and they ignored our request.

Very nice dining experience at Byblos. The lamb for two and wagyu pide are a must try when you visit. Although the hummus Royale was hyped, if felt very lackluster and you could probably skip. Drinks were also great, the geographer was delicious and the gulag was a unique but bitter concoction. Dishes were a bit pricey but worth the price tag for a tasty dinner and a cozy atmosphere! Remember to book your reservations in advance

Food was very delicious and we hope to be back again! After the Pide, we were quite full and could not finish our food. I feel we may have upset our server or made him feel like we we unhappy with our service. We hope to come back and work backwards through the menu like we overheard another server tell his table so that way we can get the full range of the menu!

Tried many "shareable dishes" and the food, all of it, was delicious. Restaurant had a nice vibe, too.

I’ve been wanting to try Byblos for a while, and I’m so glad I finally went. The food recommendations by the server were amazing, the atmosphere was intimate, and the experience overall was satisfying. Definitely a treat if you want to go for a fancier dinner.

Excellent service, beautiful atmosphere and nice presentation of the food but portion are very small so it can be expensive since you need to order at least two of three things to get enough to eat. Rhe food was overall very good but should be a little bigger if they are me for sharing. Not enough to share when you order an appetizer only a few bites for each person. If you are a big eater it will be a very expensive night but Excellent food and service is very good

Down hill since covid. Items removed from menu and just not that great. Pre-covid it was 6 stars!

Great food, have had a lot if different middle eastern, near east, south east Asian food, but Byblos is something special.

Some familiar flavours but with a unique fusion will leave you wanting to try everything in the menu.

Very surprised having a not so high expectation but walked away wanting to come back soon. Highly recommend.

Top notch - best dine in experience I've had in a while. Anything you order is mouth watering! Perfect service too. Will be back!

We went there expecting to have a Lebanese food, but we found out that its not, it is a mixture of different oriental food.

Been here a couple of times and always has been great food. Love the sharing aspect of Byblos & cocktail selection. Dark vibes.

A true dining experience on the inside - great attentive service and sommelier. The food was out of this world! Dishes were balanced with texture and plating.

We had a great evening after the movies here. Service was very welcoming, knowledgeable and fast. Dishes were excellent with lots of flavour. The menu is great and offers food for everyone. The bar made us some nice cocktails as well.
One of the best middle eastern places in Toronto and worth a visit. Second time and again very happy!

I should clarify at the outset that my spouse and I have been loyal patrons to this restaurant since it opened in 2014. I've enjoyed their food over 35 times - date night, client dinners, events with friends, etc. While it's had more turnover than some other spots that are comparable in terms of food (like for e.g. Isabel, Giuilietta, Banane), the service has usually been excellent. We went there for dinner last Saturday evening - we were seated on their 'patio' which is not heated, and then waited for 20 minutes before walking out. No drink order, no greeting, nothing. Staff were coming and going past us. You'd think on a cold night, with an unheated patio they'd at least check in, offer to bring a warm drink. Chalk it up to being under-staffed in this weird post-pandemic place. And this is certainly a 'privileged' complaint, that's not lost on me, but when you charge what they charge, you'd expect them to do better. Fingers crossed they do next time.

Expect to drop $100 or so per person. Modern yet cozy ambience. Didn't strike me as mediterranean focused. Food is good but nothing blew me away. Tried the Sabzi Qatayef (oxtail patty) - tasty but the filling could have benefited from being less mushy and have actual chunks of oxtail. Don't really remember the eggplant kibbeh beyond being earthy. Brussel sprouts with haloumeh was a nice side. The best dish i tried was the roasted lamb shoulder (braised for 12 hours) and served with a few toppings to make your own mini wraps. [note this review is from a couple yrs ago]

This restaurant NEVER disappoints. The food is so flavourful and unlike any other you’ll eat at any other restaurant. It is a bit pricey but worth the splurge.

Had our 10th anniversary dinner here. Fantastic food, great ambiance and service and the bill was very reasonable. Everything was outstanding, especially the Labneh and the Turkish dumplings. Menu is very vegetarian friendly. We’ll be back!

I just visited Byblos branch and tried 21" TIMES SQUARE & 21" NEW YORKER SPECIAL PIZZA.
I haven't eat such tasty pizzas in my life before.
Taste like never before.
Even they are offering 20% discount for limited time.

A great place with a varied menu, they cook quickly and tasty, but the queues spoil the picture, there is not enough space for everyone, you have to wait.

My husband chose to come to this restaurant and wow was it outstanding. The food, the staff and the atmosphere is fantastic. But the food omg SOOOO delicious! We will continue to come back. Thank you.

The service and ambiance was amazing. The manti and the short rib kebab was also delicious. The rest of the food was okay and nothing special. I’d definitely recommend you try this place out especially for date night!

Really big space, dimly lit great vibe. Lots of round table spaces for big groups. Food was amazing, so flavourful and easy to share. The rice blew my mind, there were a million things in there and it just all made sense.

Great food and atmosphere! Wine list has some incredible wines from rare regions like Lebanon! Love that u can have a meal or just eat tapas style!

Anyone who says food is goos here probably eats mcdonalds for lunch daily and is used to eating dinner at kelseys.food is average.at best.good options on the menu.like lamb chops octopus and oz tail but everything is ok.would not come back and not recomend

Completely fabulous! Warm and classy ambiance. Staff was friendly, great service. A very creative take on middle eastern/Mediterranean cuisine. Each dish is shareable for at least two to three people. Portion sizes are smaller. Vegetarian friendly. Some items may be halal, so I would check with the restaurant first. Tried the turkish dumpling manti, fig salad, the middle eastern fried chicken, the short rib kebab and the truffle rice. Each item was amazingly delicious and the fusion of flavors was perfection. Tried the orangle blossom mousse which was a burst of florals and fruits to the palette with a cotton candy like consistency on the top. Highly recommended. Also tried the hazelnut mousse and crispy qatayef which was also quite tasty. Would definately come here again and highly recommended.

I LOVED the meal I had here and know I will think about it all the time. My husband and I are both vegetarian and there were so many amazing options we were unable to choose. What we did choose however was amazing (Turkish Manti Dumplings, Crispy Artichoke, Eggplant Kibbeh (This was the best), Chanterelle Mushroom Pide, Crispy Hand Rolled couscous, and roasted brussels w/ halloumi). We sat at the bar upstairs and the staff was helpful and attentive. The cocktails were good. Highly recommended.

Ive gone twice for our girls night. We sat once downstairs (which is busier, louder and by the door - amazing still) they dont allow patrons to stand and wait inside unless by the bar. Upstairs is better. More intimate. The food is Fantastic every single time. I love the whole hen! Omg. Pricey but worth the price. I will definitely go back.

The wine is also good and appetizers. Service is great amd kind.

Great decor, lovely space. Wine list impressive but includes some dud pinot noirs. Didn’t enjoy the bottle we ordered from Niagra region. Food portions light.

Really impressed with our first visit here. Dishes are packed with exotic flavours and cocktails are delicious to sip on. Our waitress was extremely friendly and knowledgeable. The octopus was cooked perfectly.

Fantastic meal. Every single thing we ate was incredibly good. Especially loved the dumpling and artichoke appetizers. But to be honest we would order everything we ordered again. Make sure to ask for their homemade hot sauce. The drinks are great as well. One thing to note, the bill quickly racks up. We definitely spent more than we expected. We enjoyed thoroughly but it was a bit of a surprise at the end!:)

One of the most delicious meals I've ever had. The menu didn't particularly excite me, but we had several recommendations. Everything we had was too notch. And I have travelled the world and dined at the finest restaurants. Soooo good.

The servers are absolutely adorable, but the food is not like 'superstitiously' good so that you can order blindly.
For the 3 things I ordered: eggplant dumplings, Tah-dig and Persian Kale rice, the first 2 are fantastic; the flavours are rich and interesting, meat is super tender. But the Persian Kale rice (oh my Jesus lord) is like chewing Firecracker. If the other two are Mediterranean at its best, this is Mediterranean at its lowest. If I ever visit Mediterranean nations this Persian Kale rice is the one I know to avoid.
Overall, 4 might be a little harsh for the absolutely amazing service, but the food needs some refinement and people should not get over the top (about food) with the current rating.

The food and cocktails where amazing. Our waitress was attentive and the meals where presented with an explanation of what we where receiving. Had a great time!

This is not my first time at Byblos; however, this was one of the worst experiences of my life. We were seated at the bar, but then they changed our seats to the corner next to the kitchen where nobody can see us. Ilias (the server) has given us nasty looks and was extremely disrespectful as if he was not satisfied by our looks. We came in for desserts and he gave us the bill immediately after we were done even though we havent asked for it yet. Imagine going to a restaurant and feeling unwelcomed! As if they couldnt wait to get rid of us! Never again

I felt the food was very expensive and the portion size was too small. The taste was not that great to justify the prices. This restaurant was on top of my list based on rating and reviews, but felt disappointed.

Delicious food served to a big party with a set menu but they took really good care of my vegan needs and made sure I got plenty to eat. Excellent service and a great atmosphere, if not a little loud. I really like the lighting upstairs.

Hubbie took me here for a weekday birthday supper. We loved the food! Everything, starting with the appetizers, to the mains (wonderful lamb), was very delicious. I especially loved the lamb and the mushroom pide. Hubbie loved the appetizers - spicy olives and almonds. And we changed our mind about eating octopus in general - theirs was not chewy at all, just tender and very tasty. Our server was very nice. It was a bit pricey but it was a great place to go for my birthday.

My first experience was not the best due to our server. I visited this location to celebrate a birthday and the food was amazing but I just really did not like my server's attitude. I have been to many restaurants in Toronto and Nancy was the worst server I have ever received. I am not sure if she was having a bad day but still there shouldn't be any excuses. I stayed calm since I was there to celebrate but this was unacceptable. She came by and took my drink menu without asking if I needed it after asking a different server if I can have one. She threw the desert menu without eye contact. I payed $113 for the dishes and honestly didnt even want to tip but I gave her $7 so it can round to $120 and she looks at it and does not say have a good night or thank you or anything. Then we asked for our jackets and she seemed so annoyed. Now if I have received great customer service that tip would have been $20-30. I have never made a review but this needed to be said. May I add the waiters that brought the food to our table were polite.
