Highly recommend this clinic. Dr. Cristina Pop and her entire team are extremely professional, kind and patient through the whole process. I felt cared for and the entire appointment went smooth. The team really explains the process clearly, and the entire staff is extremely helpful. I am grateful to have had such a positive experience at this office, thanks to the incredible staff. Friendly staff, very informative and walks you through the whole process step by step. They also recommend and offer options post procedure. I got an IUD inserted same day during my appointment. Book your appointment before 10AM if you’re nervous and don't want to be stressed. It gets very packed and busy after that time. Make sure you have support and someone to talk to, not an easy thing doing on your own. If you’re reading this, you’re making the right choice for you and it’s your choice to make, Cabbagetown is safe environment from my experience.

Today i done my procedure, it is amazing place all staff are very nice and very kind, they explain me everything step by step, before i was very nervous and worried all things are very good.i am highly-rated this clinic

This place is so unorganized, the staff are mean and rude. The doctor was the only person there that was nice. We had to wait 3 hours just ti be admitted when we had called prior to book an appointment. It took our whole day away. Their vision is “we comfort and support you” we felt everything but supported. If I had another option I would take the other option. And, you have to sit in a room with all other patients. You can’t leave once you enter the clinics, even though you haven’t been admitted yet.

Very empathetic staff and doctor. They were very patient with me and I truly felt that they cared. The doctor had amazing bedside manner and made me feel very comfortable.

I’ve been here in the past to get an iud put in and dealt with really friendly staff at the time. Recently I’ve called this place on two occasions and the receptionist on the phone is incredibly rude and not very helpful or considerate. I’m not sure if it’s a language barrier or lack of empathy but she’s horrible, especially for a women’s clinic, you need someone who is actually trying to help with a positive demeanour.

The receptionists were welcoming and friendly. The doctors and nurses made the procedure less scary and more comfortable by explaining everything that is going to happen. I would definitely recommend this place.

All good looks like new crew is doing a good job. Went there yesterday and she was happy with treatment and attitudes. The building is very old and interior design isn't modern but all is good.

Avoid this clinic. These guys don’t know how apportionments work. They booked us for 10, told us to come at 9. We came at 9 and waited until 11: 30, and they said it won’t be until another 2 hours. Avoid these guys and book with a proper place

The ladies working are rude and loud. The waiting time is the whole day literally I had my appointment for 10am and I ended up getting checked at 3: 30 almost at closing time. Also it is incredibly small omg so Claustrophobic

I had a good experience. My privacy and decisions were respected. The nurses and the doctors are personable and that really helps.

I was so scared & anxious for the whole procedure, especially because a previous clinic I had a bad experience at. But they were amazing. So sweet. The woman comforting me through the whole thing was great she really made me feel better & the doctor was so sweet & reassuring. Didn’t feel anything besides what felt like period cramps. Everyone here is so sweet & make sure u feel comfortable. Thank you.

You couldn’t ask for better help. After having bad experiences at other clinics the second I made my first call to cabbagetown woman’s clinic I knew they would be different. They booked me in as soon as I could be there and informing on me of everything I needed to be prepared before hand. They were very kind greeting me as soon as I walked in. They were great at explaining every step of the procedure with out feeling detached every single thing is explained in a way that made me feel cared for. They have a nurse that it is Solely her job to make sure you feel relaxed comfortable and confident in the procedure room and I couldn’t be more thankful. All of the other staff were amazing as well. The place was extremely clean, organized and well maintained. I wish every clinic was run like this with compassion and care for every woman that walks through the door.

The staff were incredible from arrival to leaving. The security woman at the front door was very kind and guides you to the waiting room, giving you an idea of what to expect. The space was clean and all of the female staff are incredibly friendly and make you feel very informed - they walked me through all of my options in detail. For such a personal and invasive experience, they make you feel as safe as possible.

Abortion is not an easy decision to make. But if you are sure enough then this clinic is for you.
I would highly recommend this place because the staff is very supportive, caring and understanding.
They feel what you are going through and make every effort to minimize your pain.

Overall I have to say my experience was really good. Doctor pop was gentle understanding and just an outstanding doctor. Julia did an absolute incredible job at keeping me calm and making me feel amazing and comfortable. Highest thank you and praise to these two amazing women. I went for an original visit and was unsure of which option to choose. The councillor was very helpful and thoroughly explained each process both times, i was not entirely ready and extremely emotional the first time and they were very understanding so I came back after a bit for a second visit this time going through with the procedure. The procedure was quick and relatively painless, thanks to them listening to my issues with pain medication working for me and using medication that will effectively work. This is the first time I’ve had a surgery where a doctor actually listened and it meant the world! I had some cramping and minor pinching but no worse than the pain I normally have during my periods. And all of this is entirely normal with a surgical procedure. The wonderful nurse who took my blood prior to the surgery was amazing and kind as well (I’m sorry I forgot your name, but I believe it was Wanda). My only moment of annoyance was booking the second appointment, I had to reschedule a few times due to my father having a car accident and me not being able to get there in time and the receptionist was quite rude about it. In such a sensitive environment it would be nice to have a bit more understanding there. However I do understand they are doing their best to accommodate everyone. Just Mabey don’t make people feel guilty for having to reschedule. A bit more tack would be great. Overall though should I ever be in a position to need this procedure again I will definitely want doctor pop and Julia to be the ones to do it. You have some real gems here never let them forget how truly incredible they are! They made a difficult and emotional procedure feel comfortable. I shed not a single tear and was even laughing and joking around with them. Thank you so much! You are truly amazing.

Absolutely horrible. The receptionist is cold and urges me to wonder why she got into a line of work that to some level should involve generally caring about women's struggles. Rude and unprofessional, and if you want to feel truly alone in whatever you're facing right now this would be the clinic to call.

Over all experience was good people were nice however the first appointment I found my self waiting to long to see the dr. I was the first one here at 9am and people who have showed up after me are being called. It is now 11 in the afternoon and I am still waiting.

In the beginning, I was having difficulty searching for urgent assistance and care. I had called several places that had awfully long or disorganized waitlists so I had considered Cabbagetown Women's Clinic. The entire process went fantastic with the help and support from the brilliant staff and caregivers. Very informative, observant and kind. Security is lovely, the environment is comfortable and the atmosphere of this place is warm.

Everyone in this place was so nice! Really made us feel comfortable and even helped us with parking! We got an appointment right after we called them (same day). There was very minimal waiting & would definitely recommend this place especially for first-timers.

This place has highly exceptional services based on the first visit an my experience. They have a very enthusiastic and caring counsellor who explains the whole procedure and makes sure your actually okay before anything starts. Then they have a whole set of amazing nurses that take care of you like you've known them for a long period of time. The nurses that took care of me, were amazing. There's always someone to talk to and the procedure area is all women. Dr. Pop's, she is very detailed and professional with her work and she cares about individually hospitality and more make it a more comfortable experience. (Another amazing person) The receptionists are all very helpful and show immediate response and compassion. I definitely recommend this place for all women going through a tough time and would like a safe and friendly place, and professionals who genuinely care without being too intrusive and definitely the very non-judgemental approach. I was choosing which clinic to do my abortion with and decided to go with this one. They booked my appointment for ultrasound and the medical abortion as per my choice a day after I called them (which seemed pretty fast to me). When I arrived there with my boyfriend a very nice security lady officer welcomed us at the door and made sure everyone inside was safe. There is about 10 chairs inside and the room was almost full. They asked me to fill out a few page form and a few minutes later I was called into the ultrasound room where a female nurse and female doctor were (my bf was not allowed inside). They made sure I was healthy and they confirmed the weeks of my pregnancy. They explained to me the different methods and procedures. They were extremely carrying and supporting. Since I chose to do the medical option, they asked me to head out and grab something to eat, and then go to a pharmacy around the corner (that they work with) and get the Pill Kit. I then came back and 2 minutes later I was called upstairs into another female doctor’s office, where I gave urine sample and she made sure I actually took the pill. That doctor was also super understanding of how scared I was and was providing me with a lot of mental support. The whole process that day took about 2 hours. I was asked to pay another visit 2 weeks later. I arrived again, and this time another female doctor called me to check if the abortion was completed normally. I noticed she was more direct and rushing than the other doctors I had encountered. But my second visit was only 15 minutes. Overall, my experience with this clinic was great. They will understand the situation you are in and provide you with support and the help you need. I would recommend it.

I was reluctant to come here because of the reviews. However, my experience here was amazing. Everyone was nice, gentle, and patience. Which made me feel comfortable and trusting towards them. When I was going through the procedure one of the health practitioner was rubbing my leg. I'm so glad she did that because it relaxed my nerves. Another health practitioner answered all my questions in such a informative and calm tone. This place was just great. I was also able to book an appointment the next business day. Other clinics wanted to schedule me 3-4 business days later. Lastly, they are very quick and efficient. Everything took under 2hrs. But times goes by quickly because you're continuously moved to the next "phase of the process".

Go somewhere else. I am using an alias for privacy reasons. I called on Monday morning to book a medical instead of a surgical because I was very early along. I had missed my period and had a feeling I should test so I did and 4 urine tests came back positive. When I called the receptionist was friendly and asked me if I want to come in today, I said no because I would like to discuss with my partner tonight but made an appointment for Wednesday. I was told to have a light breakfast and that it would take 3-4 hours. I asked for more information but I was told I would be informed the day I come in. My partner and I arrived and were welcomed by the female security guard which I appreciated. Almost all the staff were female. We were brought to the waiting room which is a living room with 15 chairs in a circle so you are in very crowded quarters with everyone. As we were sitting there the security guard asked one of the male partners that was waiting for his partner to finish to leave and come back in 15 or 20 minutes because the waiting room was getting full. Now that I think about it he was the only minority group male in the room and he obliged. I would not have been ok coming back to no-one there. I filled out the paperwork and was quickly brought into the room with a male doctor (surprising since all other staff are female) and told to sit on the table for the ultrasound. I was asked when my last period was and how I knew I was pregnant (which I also told the receptionist when booking the appointment) I advised him that I had taken numerous urine tests. He told me that they are useless and mean nothing. I felt so confused. He then proceeded to ask me why I didn't go see my doctor, I said I didn't think I had to before coming here since it wasn't mentioned and asked why no-one told me when booking that I needed a blood pregnancy test done. He said "I am telling you now". He proceeded to do the ultrasound despite telling me that I had to get the blood test done and come back. I told him that I had been having cramps for a few days but period never comes. He stops the ultrasound and says "cramps like you are going to get your period? " insinuating that I was jumping the gun and should have known better. I said "no worse than period cramps" because I heard of ectopic pregnancies and wanted to make sure he was aware of the cramps in case there was some signs. As soon as he hears the cramps he stops the ultrasound and proceeds to tell me to get dressed and go upstairs for the bloodwork and call the next day and then make arrangements to come back. I called back and the bloodwork was positive just like I knew it would be cause urine tests are done at most doctors offices.

Everyone but the doctor was professional. I will not be going back for visit #2 and have already booked somewhere else. The only thing that this clinic can do to fix this issue is to replace the male doctor with a more compassionate female physician. When I read that he called other woman mama during their visits I couldn't believe it. HOW INSENSITIVE!

The doctors who did the procedure were completely unprofessional, incredibly disrespectful to me as a patient, and their negligent work left me with near life-threatening complications. The fact that this clinic has been present for a long time has NO bearing on their professionalism or results.
A nightmare. Do not go here. They do not deserve even one star.

Without exception, the staff are all empathetic and compassionate. Their matter-of-fact and upbeat attitudes made me feel calm and cared for. The patients varied much in age and nervousness, as well as their bodily reactions to the treatment, and the staff was prepared to give good care for every one. The doctor was an older European gentleman, he was expedient, sensible, and pragmatic. His descriptions and instructions were simple and precise, which was reassuring; this was just a simple, common, and safe procedure after all. They give you a generous amount of highly effective take home painkillers.

The clinic itself is set in a renovated town home, which I found comforting. It was clean and sterile, you are given medical gowns and booties, and are constantly checked up on and asked if you need water or the bathroom. The house is a little cold but in the upstairs waiting rooms you are given cozy robes and blankets, and there are heaters, tvs, magazines, nice art on the walls, etc. Its also nice to have the time and opportunity to chat with the other patients there, share feelings and experiences and whatnot.

The treatment I had was sort of like induced labor. There was a good number of nurses around to tend to every patient so I still felt cared as my time drew nearer. A good amount of pain medication was given so that I was spared the brunt of the pain, was calm and able to push, and didn't feel groggy afterwards. Actual time in the stirrups was <10 minutes. The procedure felt natural, and after it was done I felt immediately better. You're checked up on thoroughly in the recovery room.

I have nothing to compare the experience to, it being my first pregnancy, but I am happy to have went through this whole thing at the cabbage town clinic! As far as I know, this is the only clinic that provides later term abortions in the country. I am eternally grateful that this clinic exists! It has literally saved me from a scary and indescribable future. Thank you for everything!
