It was a good experience for us, The Manager (Sara) is nice and kind, and customer service is excellent. For us enjoyable time.

This review is for all people ordering uber deliverty from this place. They are the worst! They miss items constantly, don't listen to remarks properly. How would you like to place an order and your items don't arrive. Then uber support can only refund your money but not reorder food items and offer you compensation. I try calling the restaurant and the voice mail hangs up when you press zero to connect with anyone. Terrible place to order from. Totally not impressed.

We often order takeout from this location and the food is always amazing and not as expensive as other nicer restaurants in the area. Service in the restaurant is hit or miss, we have had some great experiences and some not so much so we don’t go for the sit down as often as we used to.

This café is really what you mean by the word “café”. The employees in this cafe are all young people. Everything in this café, from arriving at the café to seat assignment to service/ordering, works smoothly and is extremely friendly. When we visited, the café was very, very full, but everything worked very well (of course we noticed this in terms of volume). The food and drinks were very tasty. We didn't have a big, varied meal, but rather a few small things, almond croissants and cinnamon rolls, but we can highly recommend these as well as the cappuccino, the Oreo milkshake and the hot chocolate with Nutella cream.
We hear that our cash payment confused the staff for a moment - Canada is very credit card shaped - but in the end it worked.

Are you a foodie looking for great food experiences? You will have to wait for a table but oh so worth it! Traditional Israeli style food. So many other varieties. You won't regret it!

As we were visiting an opening of a store nearby, we were looking for somewhere to eat. Upon our search, we found Cafe Landwer. We didn’t realize this was a popular cafe in Vaughan & North York; which justifies their wait time without reservations.

Our service was a tad delayed, as we caught our server just standing around, chit chatting and browsing their phone, which ruined the experience a bit as we waited to order for quite a while.

But, the food we had was delicious! Although classic and basic, it hit all the right spots, especially the rosé spaghetti (refer to photo). Overall, the price was decent and the food was what we expected considering our need to eat ASAP! We haven’t specifically looked to return due to distance, but if we are in the area and looking to eat, we will definitely run it back. Thank you!

I was there at 3pm for desert and it wasn’t busy at all (lots of empty tables) We were having coffee and cake and we were there for like 30 min and we still had half cup of coffee or tea and cakes were not finished. But i don’t know why but the waitress gave us the bill which we did not ask and did not tell us reason why (sometimes they gave bill before the shift changes. But i dont think this is the case) We did not make loud noise (other table were noisier than us) and there are people who came before us. Just let you know other Cafe Landwer is a lot nicer and this place is not worth anymore.

This place is so poor mismanaged in the front.
My hotess Liza is absolutely horrible with customer service and can not give a proper wait time. The first time we were told it would be a 10 to 15 minute wait and ended up taking almost an hour. The second time I placed an order for to go I was told it would be 10 to 20 minutes late to go order took almost 45 mins. I asked if we could try to get an a little bit sooner given our past two unpleasant experiences from the same process she was very rude about it and did not accommodate us whatsoever. This place used to be so much better. Maybe Liza should stop playing with her hair in the front desk and pay more attention to wants going in around her.

Despite the wonderful decor that makes you feel as if you've stepped back in time, the food leaves something to be desired. Though it may seem at first glance like a quaint homestyle cafe, Cafe Landwer is in fact a chain and the food doesn't let you forget it. It is not terrible by any means but it is nothing special. The truffle and mushroom pappardelle was just okay. The portion was not large and the sauce could have used a bit more seasoning. The chicken schnitzel was better and if I return, it's probably what I'll order.

Sometimes the service is slow but the food is great and they accommodate dietary restrictions well. The atmosphere is lively and fun.

A very nice atmosphere and the ordering online is a great concept. The food is also pretty good but the service (we’ve been to multiple locations as well) at cafe landwer’s aren’t the greatest. The servers are kind and personable but seem distracted with their own conversations and service is quite slow.

I am in KIng City. I order on the phone in advance as i am driving so the time in the restaurant is minimized. Order three meals.got 2.5 meals. How can you forget the fries when you are ordering a hamburger and fries for your kid? They put in the ketchup but forgot the fries. THEY HAD ONE THING TO DO.and they did not. Its a 15 minute drive.so their offer to make the fries for me to pick up is silly.their offer of a 5 dollar refund on an 18.00 meal was silly. And they offered to send that refund by email, when i have no data on my phone.and its not 5 dollars, its five dollars plus hst! Is there no end to this restaurant's cheapness (more on that later).

my advice: IF you are silly enough to order online or over the phone tear the order apart to verify it is correct. This has happened before, and I did not learn my own lesson. EVEN IF I had seen this at the time, what would have happened to the other two hot items that would be waiting for the fries? HIRE GOOD PEOPLE PLEASE. And while we are at it, so I don't leave two bad reviews, its supposed to be a salmon salad, not salmon lettuce: half inch of some veggies, three inches romaine lettuce.not worth it.

Long waits 1 and a half hours. Long time for the food to arrive more than 30 minutes. Chicken schnitzel was dry and hardly any pickles in the sandwich. Bread was good. Service sucked. Rude waitresses and disorganized staff. Not worth your 3 hours.

Overall, not a bad place for breakfast. There is a lot of parking available although the parking lot is pretty busy. Our breakfast was pretty good except as a personal preference, everything was a bit salty. Pro tip, don't spend extra money on truffle fries, I think they drip a couple of truffle oil on fries and call it truffle fries.

Clean, family friendly vibe and hip enough for couples to visit but you should be ready to spend around $60+ for breakfast and coffee for two adults. Due to the price, it's a place that I may visit once or twice a year. I would rather spend that money for lunch or pay a little more for a decent dinner instead of simple breakfast.

The Shakshuka with Feta & eggplant is my absolute favorite I'm Toronto. ("Mediterranean Shakshuka"). Our waiter was lovely. My friend enjoyed the Haloumi cheese shakshuka. Hughly recommend!

The quality has gone downhill. Ordered for pickup, like I’ve done many times before.
Instead of the margarita pizza, they gave us the kids menu pizza. We ordered a tray of 5 schnitzels, when we opened it, it was clear they took 2 schnitzels and cut them into 5 pieces - the pieces were the same size as the lemon wedges. And they were super over cooked and dry, they were barely edible. The rice was also overcooked and clumpy and brown in areas (where it stuck to the pan). We tried calling them and have been waiting 30 min for someone to pick up (and they were pretty empty when we picked up our order). I have no issues with their rising prices but what they provided is terrible and they won’t even answer their phones to address the issues.

Decent place for a meal. Can be a bit busy and noisy during peak hour and may not be suitable for quick cafe chat.

Been to this location multiple times now. They have lots of free underground parking. Recently visited for brunch and put myself on the waitlist on Yelp which was very sasy to use and provides you with regular updates regarding seat availabilities. Service is a bit slower as I had.to flag them down a few times to get my coffee refilled (free btw). Their shakshuka is delicious and I order it everytime.

I am usually very happy with the food, but this time certain things were just disgusting. The chicken fingers were so dry and didn't taste good seemed like they were from the day before and not made fresh. The falafel snadiwch was also bad the pita they put it in is like a bread and the sandwich was super dry. There were no pickles and I asked for extra and It was just nor enjoyable. Very disappointed as we have order from here many times. The shakshuka is good always.

They are always busy, waiting times sometimes take longer than they estimate. My favorite food is Red wine french stew They have good vegan choices!

Nice brunch spot with lots of good options that’ll keep you coming back. The chef was accommodative of vegan choices and prepared the meal well. The atmosphere is great, perfect for breakfast, brunch and lunch. They could use a better host though that is more welcoming and attentive.

This place is definitely not worth coming. First the waiting time is extremely long, normally 1-2 hours. And the amount is too small compared to the price, all the sides listed on the menu are just one spoon. $20 isn't even enough to get one person full. Besides, if you sit outside, the bees will come all the time, you cannot enjoy your meal quietly, and the waiter won't do anything to help. During my brunch, the bees even land on my eggs. My worst experience with a brunch.

Really bad experience here! First they forgot to pass our order to the chef. We only found out after 40 minutes when we asked if our order will come soon. They said they’ll rush the order but come back after 5 minutes saying they don’t have that menu item. I said I’ll take the same thing my friend is having to keep it easy. They come back after 10 minutes with only one small sandwich for the two of us to share, instead of two like we asked. Never had a horrible experience like this and won’t be going back. Specially as they were not very apologetic.

A bit on the expensive side, and food portion is petite.lineups are long usually. Don't understand the hype.

Great patio experience, super cozy and casual. Service was wonderful and food tasted awesome. I got the Eggs Benedict, I loved the bread that was used, the eggs were over cooked but otherwise was yummy. I also got the green juice, it was sweet though hope there wasn't any added sugar. I would love to go back to try out the lunch menu.

The food here was delicious! We ordered a pitcher of sangria and it was a little flavourless and took a while to come but the food was amazing. Our servers were really nice as well

Very busy spot! Wait time was long however worth the wait!
First time visiting, we asked our server for recommendations. We had the the chicken Schnitzel, chicken breast and the salmon entree. It was outstanding! Everything was well seasoned and big portions. Staff was friendly I will definitely return!

Expect to have to wave down your waitress/waiter constantly (and I mean this in the most literal way possible) to order, ask questions, get your coffee/drink refilled, etc.

The place is beautiful, the menu offers many options, like gluten free and vegan dishes, and the food is excellent. Also the staff is very welcoming and polite. Amazing restaurant.

Super busy during brunch/lunch hrs and no reservations allowed on the weekends. Expect to wait at least 20 min. Great service. Ordered the smoked salmon Benedict served on English muffin with a salad on the side. My dish was ok.though my friends dishes were better.

Went there on a Sunday, wait time was pretty long. About just over an hour. Food was decent. The best thing about the restaurant are the drinks. They have a wide variety and it's very fresh. Tastes delicious. Give it a try.

Turkish coffee. They just poured hot water in a drinking glass (not a Turkish coffee class) and added the codfco to it and stirred. This is NOT Turkish coffee. After telling the waiter, she took it away

Ordered eggs Benedict and landwer famous breakfast.

Eggs benedict was plain, very little sauce and no seasoning. On top of that, 2 very large egg shells in the food AND a hair! Again told waiter, she just took it away. I had to call her back to say I wanted to speak with the manager. Manager came and said she saw the eggshell and the hair, and would not be charging us for it. Asked us if we wanted something else instead, which we declined as we had lost our appetite.

Landwer famous breakfast was more like a tasting platter. Very small portions of random food that did not go well together. And not filling. The guacamole was more lemon juice than avacado.

Waiters do not refill coffee unless you ask them. Even then takes a while to get it.

Excellent food and really lovely decor. Staff was wonderful and service was prompt despite how busy it was (wait for a table was 30 min when we came in at 12). They even gave us a little baked snack and had coffee out for those waiting! I ordered the Mediterranean shakshouka, which I give a 10/10 for authentic taste and big portion size. Menu as a whole looked varied and had lots of interesting choices. Plenty of vegetarian options. Will be back to try more from the menu.

First time here. Excellent mushroom salad and amazing Shakshuka (better than many we used to have in Israel). The apple pie dessert was great as well. Friendly customer service! We'll be back for sure to try some other menu options.

The food is excellent, fresh very tasty, you can taste the quality. Atmosphere and Ambiente very nice and warm, reminds of European style coffee house or dinner. Will come back for sure.

We were staying at a hotel in the area and happened to find Cafe Landwer. We were thrilled we did! We had breakfast there both Saturday and Sunday morning, arriving both mornings between 9: 00 am - 10: 00 am with no wait. The menu offered a unique selection of breakfast options and we were delighted to explore some new dishes. It was presented beautifully, and the taste was exquisite! And to top it off, a delicious "bowl" of cappuccino! The staff was extremely friendly and couldn't do enough for us. Definitely a highlight to our mini weekend getaway. Thank you Cafe Landwer! And thank you for the lovely chocolate coconut truffles!

We love this restaurant! Have visited the. Food is mediterranean influence with a twist. Shakshuka is available in a couple of different preparations. Farmer's breakfast blew me away. 2 eggs any style, a large bento-style box filled with guac, cream cheese, small pot of yogurt & topping, labneh, Israeli salad, hummmus, delicious fresh baked bread. Star of the meal are 'ROSALACH' which are warm little puffs of fresh baked dough with either chocolate or halvah filling. Delicious coffee. You have to order them about 15 min before you think you will finish your meal so that they can be made fresh and served warm. Only downside is there is ALWAYS a lineup on weekends (no reservations) and you might have to wait 45 min-1 hr. Reservations accepted during the week. Servers are welcoming and very pleasant. I think the reason the waits are so long is that they don't rush you out, and patrons have been seen to linger well past finishing their meal.

I loved the environment at this Cafe and the amazing service providwd by a Barrista by the name of Jonny I believe, very nice fellow always with a Smile and made me and my girlfriend some great drinks. Food was amazing if your looking for a cute dinner date with your mate.

Food didn’t only look good, it tasted amazing! One of the most unique brunch experience I had. Food was filling and healthy. Was a little wait but definitely worth it. Server was wonderful we had a kid with us and was just so accommodating and friendly.

Love this spot especially for brunch! Lots of different options snd nice decor. Expect to wait at least 20 minutes to be seated a peak hours. Last time our meal was delayed a bit and they brought complementary warm chocolate pastries. Nice touch!

Ordered a chicken sandwich. No mention of pickles on the menu. Sent it back and it came out of the bag completely fallen apart, still tasting of pickles.

Ordered the chicken shawarma, roast beef sandwich, and sweet potato fries. The roast beef sandwich was absolutely delicious; juicy and flavourful. The chicken was great but the accompanying cuscous was on the dry side. The dish can be vastly improved with a taziki sauce and/or garlic hummus. They also served the sweet potatoe fried with KETCUP, citing that they “don’t have chipotle mayo. ” I know, I was appalled too. Needless to say we opted for regular mayo instead. Overall the ambiance is cozy and bathrooms are clean.:)

Food ok, service ok, management bad, if they allow people that waiting for a table to stand on people that already have a table, bad experience, when i sit in a restaurant i do not need strangers standing on me, this ia bad management!

This place is fantastic for a healthy meal or a date night. I have also used it to meet local business contacts. It is not really a place to be just with a laptop - it is a social, fun atmosphere.

Been here a few times. It’s easy to get distracted by the cute interior. But in terms of food and service quality both are meh. And they are not very clean. Cutlery and cups often find them dirty and ask for new. And the washroom is always a disgusting mess. I think during their first months of opening they were putting a lot of effort but now it’s lost its charm.

Tasty treats and great service. Also the drip coffee was probably the best drip coffee I have had in a long time!

TIP: Order the Rozalach. Out of this world and worth the wait for them to make it fresh!

I wanted to give it 5 stars but my initial experience while waiting for my table was negative so I reserved 1 star because of it. My family was in line for 30 mins when suddenly another group came and walked up to the lady that’s in charge of tables when she called my name! As a suggestion pls give out paper slips to people that are waiting in line so no one can cheat like that.

Aside from this, the food was great.

This is my second time to this place and this time we were a little disappointed with the food. We ordered the Mediterranean Shakshouka (which was a little on the salty) and the Sinia Kebabs which was bland. We noticed the table beside us also having to add salt to her same dish. The presentation of the food was nice, but the food was disappointing. If anything the cafe latte we ordered was good, not too strong with chocolate/mocha-like notes. I don't think we will go back unless it's for the latte.

The shakshuka is amazing here. You can also try out the famous breakfast for 2. It's a typical Israeli dish, so you get to experience what Israeli eat on a daily basis.

First time trying Landwer and I need to say the halloumi salad was AMAZING! Also tried the shishito peppers, fried avocado and sliders.we all shared and the food was great however the price was a little high. With that said, we ordered takeout and the presentation was exceptional.you can tell the owner put a lot of time and money into the bags/containers etc. I mean they're just going into the trash but the presentation and packaging was impressive. I will dream about that halloumi salad and will definitely get it again when I'm in the area
