Cafe Pyrus

First place I was told to go when I first went plant based and have loved it since. Absolutely love the variety and also keeping the old faithful on menu. Their seasonal options and fun drinks are always fun to try as well. Unique atmosphere and friendly staff.

One of the best spots for foods, and right in the heart of downtown! Make sure you try the Big Bang sandwich. My favourite!

I went in there last evening and the vibes were all welcoming and cozy! Service was speedy and amazing especially from the barista (i think she said her name was Phoebe?) she was very kind and made a killer drink! The food was also made quickly and tasted great!
This food was a great way to spend my thanksgiving.

Went here yesterday, first time being here, a little overwhelmed with the amount of options. The girl Pheobe working the front was super friendly and very helpful with my selection. I got a the Apple crumble muffin and it was so delicious! Def will be coming back

The food is just OK - nothing too exciting here. They have quality and creative ingredients, good service, and good location, but I can't say any of the food was tasty enough that I'd care to return, especially given the prices. Prices were high, but fair given the ingredients.

I am a person with reduced mobility who used to come to your cafe frequently, for your Good coffee.
But unfortunately, the door is not accessible and the staff are not coming to help when I am entering or leaving.
I am adding pics of my bad experience today when the door interrupted my moving, my iced coffee spread all over me and your staff did not care (did not offer any help or refill).
To be honest you all should do really better.
Accessibility and being friendly with frequent customers are essential for you guys if you do not wish to lose us!

I've been SO THANKFUL for Cafe Pyrus throughout the pandemic. Their preorder and pickup service with the separate side entrance makes for a very easy process, and their food is amazing.

Delicious food, always made with so much care and a real flair. The service is impecable and so is the art on the walls. Delicious, socially conscious and 100% community oriented.

Sooo good! My wife and I really enjoy cafe style restaurants but sometimes find it difficult to find tasty meals that are also plant based. This is a fantastic place for plant based options and it's soooo delicious! Great coffee to add to super yummy food too! The employees were super friendly and had spot on suggestions:) we got the 2 meals they suggested and couldn't have picked a more delicious meal ourselves! We will be back and recommend to anyone, they have some non plant based options for those less interested in that:)

The cafe’s location is great.it had parking right in front of it.also the seating is good.the chick pea melt was delicious.the grilled cheeso was loaded with cheese which was yummy with ketchup.however the hibiscus lemonade was not great at all.felt like having water with just a tinge of hibiscus and no lemonade.the coconut yogurt was just fine.had lot of berries.

Cafe Pyrus never fails to make delicious food! I frequently get the Angry Vegan for dinner (which is fantastic) and also enjoy their baked goods (pictured here is the magic bar which is also gf)! They always have friendly staff and their new location is great!

Delicious food great coffee, and excellent service. I am **so** grateful for the option to order delivery directly from them (which is only $5 where I live). They are my go-to spot when I want to treat myself to a takeout lunch while working from home.

The new location has a great patio with a lot of space. The coffee was great and the food looked good. We will be back for sure.

Stopped in after visiting a friend in Kitchener. I was so excited to find a cafe with such a wonderful vegan menu, and it did NOT disappoint! Such, such amazing food. Please come open one in Ottawa!:)

I had the angry vegan today and it was so delicious! Wow I've never had a sandwich that tasted so good! I had the kale slaw and that was amazing as well. Everything tasted so fresh. I will be coming back here again and again!

Food is always amazing, black bean burrito is 10/10. Only warning is that I tried there coffee with MCT oil today.my stomach has been in AGONY for hours. Only order it if you're familiar with the oil. I had never heard of it and I'm not keto so it was overall a bad call.

My Daughter and I visited today for the first time after hearing great things. Great experience! People were super friendly and helpful. Really great options to chose from. My Daughter ordered a smoothie and said it’s the best she’s had in a long time. The overnight oatmeal was delicious! Coffee was spot on. Just a really nice restaurant and will be making this establishment a regular routine! Thank you for your great Customer Service and tasty food!

Excellent food, every time! We’ve tried half of their menu already and excited to try the rest. The staff is always so friendly and they started a reusable container program! So happy to be able to support local businesses and reduce waste.:)

Awesome plant-based menu! There's something for everyone, even if you're not plant-based. My favourite is the Club. And if they've got it, the butternut squash soup:)

I'm not at all vegan, so I was super hesitant to come here at first. But the staff is super friendly, and the drinks are awesome. I love their hot chocolate! I haven't tried much of their food yet but I definitely plan to!

I love this place. Great place to have a coffee while reading your book. I recommend this place if you like calm and cozy places

Amazing breakfast food, my favourite is the breakfast griller and I love the oat milk hot chocolate. There are outlets here too for studying, and also a comfy couch area, bigger and smaller tables too so any group size would be able to find seating. Me and my boyfriend come here sometimes all the way from waterloo just because we love the food so much, very filling.

It's a little pricy but excellent fare. I loved the food and beverages - and I'm not even vegetarian!

Excellent menu of plant based food (with optional dairy cheese). Nice atmosphere with variety of local artwork displayed. Can get very busy at lunchtime!

Great spot, good for sketching or laptop working. Americano could be a bit richer, I'll ask for a double shot next time. 8)

The Big Bang sandwich is my favourite alongside any of their awesome daily soup choices! One of my favourite spaces to people watch and have a cup of coffee in DTK.

I've only ever drank The latte here but if that's what you want it's the best one you'll find in downtown

Luv this place, it has a great vibe. Perfect for a morning coffee and I'm looking forward to go there for lunch. There are many Gluten free options for me to select from which is awesome. It's rare to find a place that you're safe to eat.

Cute cafe in downtown Kitchener. Didn't get a chance to try any of the food but, enjoyed my drink and the menu looked amazing with many dietary friendly options (vegan, Gluten Free). Will be back.
Clearer parking options on website would also be beneficial.

They have some really amazing coffee beans paired with the right atmosphere and friendly staff who make your cafe experience super duper enjoyable.
Try the ice coffee. It's one of my favourites.

I accidentally stumbled upon this place one afternoon and now I absolutely love this cafe. They have amazing sandwiches and breakfast wraps. The Big Bang sandwich has to be my all time favourite. They also offer a fantastic selection of teas and great coffee. Staff are always lovely. The place has a great atmosphere.

This is by far one of my must go stops when I am in Waterloo. This used to be my regular lunch stop when I lived in Waterloo and I miss it dearly now that I’ve moved out of town. Always friendly and polite staff and a huge menu of vegan and non vegan choices! They have delicious coffee and lots of freshly baked treats to go with it! I usually get the tofu scramble breakfast wrap and a superhero coffee (butter and MCT oil) - and I am never disappointed. Don’t be fooled by the not so fancy neighbourhood. You will be pleasantly surprised at this cafe! Perhaps they would consider opening another location near London Ontario? Bravo Cafe Pyrus!

Very nice iced coffee. Very nice atmosphere. They have board games in case you want to bring a group of friends to enjoy a nice, cozy, afternoon!

Kind of pricey but worth it! The richest coffee I've ever had with the most variety of coffees and teas. They've got some great drinks that are different from all the other coffee shops

Amazing vegan food, coffee and ambience. Great for spending time reading or studying at this place.

I love the atmosphere to this place but the staff are not very friendly or welcoming. I've been vegan for years and I hate to say that their vegan food is not one of my favourites. The burger I got was super burnt and the sauces and burger itself had absolutely no flavour at all. I respect this place for practicing vegan but wow I did not feel good after!
