Caffino

This was our first time visiting the restaurant as we were in town to watch a hockey game. Finding the restaurant was a little difficult so I recommend having better signage out front. The meals were pretty good but the best part of our experience was the service that we got from our waiter Vincenzo. 5/5 on the overall atmosphere as well. We found Vincenzo to be very funny and he treated us like family.

Cozy spot for Italian eats, hidden in plain sight. The pasta we got were pretty good, especially the shell one that was a special of the day. The New Del-Duca and the Pappardelle a Ragu were quite good too.

Charming and cozy restaurant with mismatched chairs and tables and chandeliers. Perfect for a casual date but also other occasions. The food was decent - the breading on the calamari was seasoned and the calamari was tender. The bruschetta was garlicky if you like garlic. The Caesar salad was standard and spaghetti carbonara were standard.

My recent outing with two coworkers at Caffino left me with mixed feelings about the establishment. While the staff's friendliness was a highlight, the culinary offerings fell short of expectations.

Service and Ambiance: From the moment we walked in, the staff at Caffino greeted us with warmth and courtesy. The inviting ambiance set a comfortable tone for our evening, and the attentive service was a definite plus.

Culinary Lows: Unfortunately, the food we ordered did not match the initial positive impression. The calamari, while promising, was marred by an excessive amount of salt that overshadowed any other flavors. The caprese salad, typically bursting with the freshness of tomatoes and basil, fell short in delivering a memorable taste experience. Even the pizza, a staple at many restaurants, failed to impress with its mediocrity.

Inconsistent Espresso Martini: Ordering an espresso martini, I was met with an unexpected inconsistency between the two drinks. The first one I received seemed to lack the vibrancy that defines this classic cocktail, making me wonder if it had been sitting ready for some time before being served.

Silver Lining: Amidst the culinary disappointments, the one redeeming factor was undoubtedly the staff. Their friendly and accommodating demeanor added a touch of warmth to an otherwise lackluster dining experience.

Final Thoughts: Caffino, while showcasing an inviting ambiance and welcoming staff, fell short in terms of its culinary offerings. Over-salted calamari, a lackluster caprese, and an inconsistent espresso martini left us wanting more from our dining experience. While the atmosphere and service were commendable, the subpar food quality makes it difficult to fully recommend this establishment for a satisfying dining outing.

Caffino is a wonderful venue. Our 80 wedding guests were all raving about the terrific food, excellent service and beautiful atmosphere. Owner Rosa and her staff create the perfect wedding experience. Whether it is a for a large event or just an intimate dinner for two we highly recommend Caffino. Definitely 5 stars!

Good italian meal, not many other italian options in liberty village. Nice patio in the back. Everyone was attentive and friendly. Came here for lunch with coworkers, the pasta dishes came out much faster than the meat or fish entrees.
One daily special came out entirely raw after a long delay but the staff offered to remake the dish upon seeing their mistake. It happens sometimes I guess, at least they owned it.

I had the fettucinne tuscana and bruschetta which were both excellent. Would probably come back here.

Absolutely LOVE this place! Atmosphere, food, service, all incredible. I can't recommend it enough.

What a fantastic meal and experience! The decor is out of this world and once greeted inside you are made to feel like family! The food was amazing and authentic! The drinks were perfect. Our waiter Marco was so so personable, making amazing suggestions. The owner Roas was so personable, especially with our kids!

Food was good, staff was very slow. Had to remind the staff for parmasean cheese after waiting 15 min for our pasta, the pasta got cold by then.

Food and Atmosphere were one of the best I've seen. Very nice gnocchi and pizza. However I'm giving it a one star because of one of the servers (older gentleman with glasses) who served me and my girlfriend. We were a few minutes late and he didnt say anything to us and just started walking as we arrived. Did not catch his name as he didnt introduce himself. Our table was wobbly when we sat down and he looked at me and said "get up" and got under the table to adjust it and then just left without saying anything. When it came to ordering food we had to wait for 20 minutes to order and he spent a maximum of 10 seconds at our table. We asked for an espresso and prosciutto in our gnocchi both of which he forgot.

Really beautiful back patio tucked away from the Main Street. Our server was super attentive and lovely, and the food was excellent (with many vegetarian options). An appetizer, two pastas, and two drinks ran us about $100.

Divine experience on a date here! Literally top 3 favourite all time restaraunts in Toronto - ask for Vince as your server to elevate the experience:)

My favourite restaurant on the planet. Ask to be seated in Vince’s section. I come back here every month and I will do so until they stop letting me.

I highly recommend the carbonara and the calamari fritti. But really, you can’t go wrong with anything here.

Great place for some Italian food, not overly expensive for what they offer. Their pizzas are delicious!

Hidden gem in Liberty Village!
Penne alla vodka with bacon is my favourite dish! I think the pastas here is better than in Italy. Those are fighting words, but I had both and prefer Caffino.

Cozy restaurants for a team lunch, or quiet dinner date.

Had a wonderfully tasty dinner here on a Saturday evening. The space is so interesting and beautiful, I could see why people hold special events there. My dining mate was a big fan of the homemade lasagna (oh, and after-dinner coffee) and I had the carbonara. There was a lot of black pepper - just how I like it! So good. We will definitely return

Located in the Liberty neighborhood within an old industrial building, Caffino provides as wonderful surprise reveal as you pass through the wrought iron gates and into an innocuous door.a casual yet dressy bohemian inspired decor with a truly classical Italian menu. The first area as a bar and bistro seating area with views of the open kitchen, which you pass through into the main dining area surrounded on three sides with bright airy French pane windows. A wonderful eating environment.

We order a Caesar salad and Caprese salad (both very good) which is accompanied by complimentary fresh baked bread season with olive oil and rosemary (very delicious). For our mains we had pappardelle ragu, spaghetti carbonara, and linguine alle vongole (all of which were excellent) ending with a traditional tiramisu (also excellent although it had a bit too much cocoa power topping for my taste). All in all an excellent meal.

Service was on point with a charming wait staff who were attentive and prompt. Definitely a winner if you are looking for classic Italian cuisine. Enjoy!

Awesome hidden gem with great vibes and an awesome little patio. The food itself is fantastic, and its nestled inside an old building that adds to its charm.

I had the Gnocchi and the calamari to start, and both were fantastic. We also had great service, highly recommended.

Me and my girlfriend went for a dinner date and neither of us had heard of this place before. The staff were very friendly and everything we tried was amazing! Definitely ask them for the special for the day because they all taste phenomenal. Can’t wait for warmer weather so we can enjoy their patio!

I only had a coffee there for a business meeting, but the atmosphere was really cozy and the place is beautiful.
