No rush and clean salon in town. I liked to got my nails done with Tom. They have over 1000 color. Also relaxed for my pedicure and my nails every time i come here

Had an incredible time getting a Mani Pedi! Lynn did a fantastic job and created very pretty designs!

The absolute best place in KW to get your nails done, especially when you happen to get Tom! The staff all have amazing attention to detail and are quick and efficient in their work! They are also always making sure you are satisfied with their work and are quick to change anything you may not like. I have never had an issue here and will definitely be using them only for my nails! Always the best results of cute and long lasting services:)

Lin was very thorough, took her time, and did a wonderful job on Mani and pedi. Would highly recommend them.

Soo beyond impressed with Cece’s work. I’m a chewer and she took her time to make sure there was no tabs under my nails. I gave her the freedom to do whatever she wanted on my nails. As long as she used the colour I picked and she made them perfect! My nails grow super fast and the retention is amazing! The pedicure after put me in glory. All dead skin was removed and she even took the time to cut out my partially ingrown toenails. Would highly recommend this salon!

Went to get some simple designs painted on my nails and Cece did an outstanding job. She listened to my suggestions and took my inspiration pictures and made them a reality! Attention to detail is great and prices are very reasonable! Will be back:)

I had a wonderful experience in this salon! Tom was wonderful! He made sure I liked the shape of my nails and the design. Every step of the way he reassured me asking me if I like the nails! He is super detailed oriented and made sure the flowers on my nails were perfectly even, I was so impressed!

I have gone here a couple times after moving to Waterloo and it has been great every time! It is very clean as new packs of nail tools are brought out for each customer. I believe her name is Lynn, and she does an amazing job with acrylics. They easily stay on for 2+ weeks and she pays such close attention to nail shape and designs you may show her. I always get so many compliments on my nails and feel so put together:)

They do a great job every time. Tom did beautiful nail art even better than the inspiration photo. The place is always busy so it is good to make an appointment. I will come here again!:)

Pricing is not bad got bio uv gel with designs and everything for 105. The salon is clean just would say the atmosphere is strange. There’s no music and like no one talks, literally dead silence I would say that the nails techs are really talented and super nice. If you come pay in cash as debit/credit is taxed upon your total.

I visited yesterday and Lyn did wonders on my nails. I'm so pleased with the results! My Lilac and chrome solar nails are TDF. I highly recommend Lyn and California Nails. Looking forward to my next visit.

This review will basically repeat what 99% of the other reviews say, this nail salon was amazing! Not only are the facilities clean, the service is also phenomenal. They truly care about their customers and strive to provide quality service. I love that they make suggestions but don't force customers to take it. The whole process was lovely and I can't wait to come back!

I have had an amazing experience everytime I've come here. The staff are so friendly and great at what they do! I got my nails done by Tom the last time I was in and he did a fabulous job. He took his time with each nail (and it shows!). I've gotten so many compliments since getting them done almost three weeks ago now (and I'm STILL receiving compliments). I would 100% recommend coming here to get your nails done!

The nail tech that was serving me was Ms. Lan. She was so good at her job and did both of my manicure and pedicure with care! She paid attention to small details and didn't mess up anything at all. Definitely recommend this spot to get your nails done in Waterloo

Sent my daughter there to ger nails done for graduation. The gentleman I first spoke to was kind, and was able to book her in at a time that worked for us. On the day of the appointment they called and got her in almost an hour earlier. She was happy, nails look great, and very affordable.

Tom did my nails (new set, extensions, UV gel) and I am absolutely in love with them! He's meticulous, gentle with my hands and cares about client's happiness. If I could, I'd give him and the salon 1000x stars!

This was possibly the best nail job I've ever had! I am incredibly happy with my French manicure and it has held up for over 2 weeks and they still look fantastic! Will definitely be going back!

I have been going to California Nails since it opened. I am impressed with their craftsmanship and professionalism. In the past I have been to other places to get gel nails done and my nails were too thick and looked fake. Now they look fantastic every time. The service is good, the people are friendly, the prices are good and I highly recommend them.

I don't get my nails done often but when I do, I always go to California Nails, they do a fantastic job. I got this beautiful acrylic lavender French tip set done and I was super happy with them! I called in the morning and they got me in right away! This was my first time at California Nails & Spa and I will definitely be returning. It was a clean, welcoming environment and my nails turned out beautifully. Tom did a wonderful job and was very friendly, was able to do exactly what I wanted and the prices are great especially as a student! I have been going to California nails and spa for about 3 years now and their service is amazing. I have received services on both short and long nails. They have continued to improve over the years and every nail tech there is able to produce really beautiful nails and designs. The service has always been very friendly and accommodating to customers! I have attached a few photos completed by varying nail techs.

Personel so rude, I was a bit late and the lady made me feel like a peasent in front of everyone and made me or wanted me to wait for an hour for being 8 min late, she was supposed to spend at least an hour with me yet they punished me and kept saying so loud that I was late.mind that she called me and I told her I was at the lights and she said on the phone ok come.worse customer service ever

I have been going to California Nails for years. The service is above excellent, although the owner or lovely wife usually do my nails. All of the staff are great. Their work is maticulious and perectly done EVERY TIME! I will never go to any other salon and I try to get my family and my BFF to go too. My BFF and I after a salon appointment. Unfortunately, this was probably the worst nail salon experience I've had. They we're busy which I understand, but they kept bouncing me around getting different people to tend to my nails. I did not feel like a priority and they made me wait a long time between the stages of getting my nails done. Near the end my nails weren't even done and I wanted to leave. I would have preferred they tell me they did not have time for me instead of making me wait. Also, the cleanliness of the place was questionable and I was slightly disgusted to say the least. My nails did look beautiful, that I can say for sure and the majority of the staff was pleasant. I did not leave a tip which I've never done before and I will not be returning. I hope this is taken into consideration and some changes are made.

Service was not great at all.nails look fine (uneven lengths and didn’t do what I asked). I called and asked about pricing and brought only the amount agreed on and when I went to pay they tried to charge me double. When said I only had that amount they made me go to my car and see if I had extra cash. Will not be returning. So rude and embarrassing.

So 8 months ago, I came here for a basic mani and pedi. I didn't want any coloured polish, so it was literally just the bare minimum of nail care.

The people here were INCREDIBLY FRIENDLY. They are very professional and kind. I was a walkin but they tended to me straightaway. HOWEVER.

Let's get to the actual quality of the manipedi. They were horrible. They did my feet first, then used the same equipment to do my hands. As a result, I developed an awful infection on the base of my thumbnail (where the nail meets the cuticle), and the nail actually had to be cut off so I had a gaping hole for months until it grew back out.

Unfortunately, great service cannot ever make up for this mess. So 1 star it is.

I went for a pedicure and one of their nail techs used a razor and cut my heel in multiple places. She did not say anything to me about it and pretended it didn’t happen. I contacted the salon about my issue and received no response. Would not recommend.
