Callbeck Animal Hospital

We've been going to Callbeck for more than 20 years and completely trust them. They are very skilled and knowledgeable and they do not push unnecessary procedures, meds, or foods.

After moving to Mississauga, we have tried local vets but end up going back to see the Callbeck team to keep our dogs alive and healthy. Others tried to get us to do drastic surgeries after incorrect diagnoses but Dr. Snider always saves the day.

I called on behalf of my mother who had to put down her 20 year old cat and this clinic was beyond accommodating. In our time of need they were willing to make space and time to help us during such a difficult time. Out of all the clinics we called this one showed us they care about the family and animal and not about making as much money off of you in your moment of need. We highly recommend this clinic to anyone e looking g for a clinic with values and compassion. Thank you for being there for us ️

It is one of the most unfriendly and insulting pleace for the people who visit this place.more than a year is past from covid 19 epidemic but still this place force the visitors to stay outside of the building in the cold, snow, rain, I am very sorry for very unfriendly staff and vet doctors working there. Here doctors are not even take a few minutes time to talk to visitors in person and only talk to them by calling them. I will never ever visit this place again.

Every time we go in they take fantastic care of skye! They don't overcharge and they're super professional! Best vet in Durham!

I have to comment on JC being so happy with the closed door policy that CallBeck continues to enforce. I guess they haven’t heard that even the now disbanded government science panel said over year ago we just have to learn to live with Covid it’s here to stay. We are tired of their impersonal service handing off our dog at the door and sitting in the parking lot. Their employees interact with friends and family so if they think they are working in some kind of a safety bubble they are delusional. Since other vets in the area are conducting business as usual we believe Covid is just their excuse not to have to deal with owners directly. We are more than just a credit card number and are taking our dog and business elsewhere. They will no longer have to worry about about their safety from us.

I was a long-time client of Callbeck Animal Hospital. The only reason I left was because I moved out of the area. Callbeck was very instrumental in finding a new veterinarian in my new location as it was very difficult to find one.

Callbeck was always able to perform all necessary procedures or recommend specialty clinics. They always communicated well and told me what was necessary to be done for the best interest of the pets. I was able to entrust the ongoing care of many pets through the years. All of the vets, front staff, vet technicians, vet assistants and office staff were always informative, friendly, and knowledgeable to explain medications and procedures and to answer any of my questions.

In an emergency with any of my pets I received immediate service. The vets and staff at Callbeck have always gone above and beyond the call of duty for my pets (even the difficult ones). If I had not moved, I would still be with them. My pets and I have always been treated with respect and dignity. I highly recommend this clinic.

Thank-you all for the excellent care my pets have received over the years and thank-you for taking care of my pets during the move. Once again you all went above and beyond the call of duty. I will never forget what you have done for me and my pets over the years.

The Doctor was available when my older dog was dying and under distress, during covid19, when it was extra hard to see anyone. Callbeck Animal hospital, is located closer and has more convenient hours that works better for me than the vet clinic I was previously attending. One thing to note is that the doctors are a husband & wife team, therefore in order to lessen the chance of being exposed to covid, you cannot enter the premises with your pet, and information is done over the phone or by the one who comes to get your pet. The doctors and staff are friendly & helpful.

The vets always remember my pet, and are great with her. They listen to my concerns and make sure that she is well taken care of. If I ever move out of the Oshawa/Whitby area I will be very sad!

Amazing staff, I highly recommend Dr Schneider for small animals! I have 2 bunnies and have been going to him for 3 yrs now, wouldn't dream of going anywhere else!

Dr. Callbeck and staff have been so kind and caring to our two dogs through the years. We appreciate their approach to safety during this pandemic, and understand their need to have people wait outside for their pets in order to keep their staff as safe as possible, especially given that the vets are a husband and wife team. Thank you for being proactive in order to keep the clinic running smoothly during these crazy times!

They have been my go-to vets for 25 years! Always treated my kitties with the utmost care and concern and even though I moved further away I wouldn’t dream of changing vets!

Dr. Callbeck was absolutely amazing. She saw our dog who had a serious allergic reaction when no other clinic would accommodate us. The reaction got worse as we were trying to find somewhere to go. The Callbeck Animal Hospital were extremely efficient and quickly treated our dog as she was covered from head to toe with hives. The office staff was friendly and we are so grateful that they made arrangements to see our dog ASAP. They were even so kind as to call us while we were waiting to let us know everything would be okay. A 5 star rating is definitely deserved.

This is a fantastic veterinary clinic. Highly professional staff, easy to reach and ask questions, the facility is large and kept very clean as well. Would highly recommend for anyone in the area to check this place out.
