The food was meh, maybe because of the holidays they were too busy putting all their work into it. Chicken wings weren’t as before and barely meat on them. The pepper shrimp was medium to very small size in shrimp. With the amount of money you’re paying it’s not worth it.
I ordered the beef lo mein and sweet and sour chicken and The food was disgusting! It had no taste and was stale I wouldn’t be surprised if the food was cooked in the morning or previously cooked and was reheated.
Showed to eat some food and unfortunately was an event night. Had to pay $20 entrance fee plus ordered wings and it was dry and had no taste. I asked for pepper sauce and ketchup and got a bottle of pepper only with ice in it. Worst of all order a shot of tequila and a can coors light. My bill came $22 and had to question why. I was told the coors light is $12. Went to so many bars and never paid $12 for a beer.
The customer service is standard for a West Indian restaurant. The orders are prepared quickly and accurately but no one will smile when they serve you or ask how your day was, but then again if I wanted that service Calypso Hut wouldn’t be where I went. Food has remained the same quality throughout the years and the dine in is clean and quiet but I never done in.
I havent ordered food from here since the renovation. The food used to be sooo good. I was beyond disappointed as the chicken was so dry and not edible. The chow mein was drenched with soy sauce and the same for the rice.
Will never order from here again especially to the fact i ended up throwing it all out and i dont like wasting food.
One of my favourite restaurants to get Guyanese food! Very beautiful restaurant with top quality food and the service is always excellent. I highly recommend this spot
Service is absolutely horrible here. Had to seat our selves, had to get up from our seat and order our food and drinks, waited over 15 mins just to get our drinks, 30 plus mins for our food. Food is good but service is horrible!
