Labour and Delivery was a fantastic team! To Dr Jermery Green who delivered our baby girl to nurse Sam & Rachel & Dalia they were all extremely kind and caring and professionals at what they do! Thank you so much for making our experience as first time parents the best possible!

Been coming here my entire life, constantly dealing with attitude and passive aggressive comments from emerge nurses who think they’re doctors. Constantly fighting to get proper treatment as a women. Have witnessed security mistreat people because they look like they’re ‘homeless’. Absolutely disgusted with this hospital, the new Renovations don’t fix your systemic issues.

Starting to understand the low star rating.
They do not respect patients own wishes and they think they are smarter than all the patients before even entering any conversation. No wonder 2020-2022 was able to happen and play out the way it.

On August 22nd I had hand surgery at Cambridge Memorial hospital. All staff members took very good care of me and I had a very pleasant experience overall. Thank you to Dr. Mathew, the anesthesiologist, and all the lovely nurses for their care!

I’ve lived in Cambridge since 2007 and had never been inside CMH until Feb. 2022. Unfortunately it was by ambulance for a heart attack during the pandemic. This lead to an angioplasty.
8 weeks later, while recovering, I was back, by ambulance, for covid.
In August 2023, I was back again for a planned knee replacement.
I spent more time in 18 months under CMH medical supervision than I have anywhere else in the last 69 years total.
Thank you for all the care I received. Everyone was so informative through all the procedures.
Cardiac care staff were phenomenal. The nurses in ICU when I had covid helped to suppress the anxiety to help me catch my breath and all the surgical staff this past month were fantastic. I have no doubt I received the best care possible anywhere.

This hospital is a waste of time. 1 dr for the whole hospital on a Saturday. They trick you with getting you triaged quickly, but then you wait for 8 hours for the DR. Yes. I said 8 hours. Don’t expect anything less because this hospital doesn’t care about your time. This is the 2nd time in 2023 that it’s been over 8 hours. Do better CMH. You are a joke to everyone who lives in Cambridge

I've had a number of surgeries at Cambridge Memorial. I have to say the entire staff from the volunteers to the nurses and doctors are all phenomenal.
The surgeons I have had the pleasure of dealing with (Dr. Asa and Dr. Mathew) have always gone above and beyond to make sure not only that the surgery was a success but that my recovery was smooth.
I can't say enough good things about this hospital and it's entire staff. Thank you for making each visit an enjoyable one.

I do not understand whats the point of this hospital. Been waiting for 7 hours in the waiting room while my fiancé has shortness of breath, indescribable pain in their back and chest, dizzy, numb and feeling so weak. We arrived in an ambulance after they were almost unconscious at our home. But that didn’t make us priority. They peed into a cup and left us waiting for 5 hours before we gave up.
If this doesn’t qualify as an emergency then I guess you better be dying if you want to be seen by this hospital. Smh I am so disappointed.

Beautiful renovation, visited my father a few times prior to the current COVID lockdown.

They’ve been taking care of my dad in the medical unit since March 7th. They’ve been taking really good care of him and hoping to release him as of next Tuesday!

Shout-out to the oncology team who’ve been doing their best with taking care of him, it’s a hard job but they’ve been absolutely wonderful. Dr. Batcher (I believe that’s his main doctor) is incredible and provides alternatives and hope when it comes to taking care of my father.

Nurses can make exceptions based on the patients condition - one person didn’t let my nephew visit my father hence the 4 star.

He’s terminally ill and we weren’t sure if he was going to make it out of the hospital at the time, so we were upset. But the next day, they had to lockdown the unit due to patient with COVID, so I kinda get it…

UPDATE REVIEW:

They have since changed their policies. I was very upset when I first wrote my review due to the policy, but now I look back and see that it’s just a policy and the nurse who kicked my nephew out, was just doing his job. I apologize and for that I gave a 5 star.

My dad landed in the hospital April 24, is palliative and expected to pass away soon.

The nurses, doctors, psw and everyone on the forth floor in C building, thank you so much for loving my dad as much as we do. I’ve heard so many great things about my dad from the nurses and that truly warms my heart.

The care he received will always be the best care he received throughout his whole life.

I’m so utterly thankful for the nurses/doctor support as my family and I process everything that has happened.

They’ve explained the process and what to expect to mentally prepare us and for that, I’m so grateful for that

I’ve spent a few nights and I still cannot thank the nurses for their support during the hard nights I had with my dad. I’m not even a patient but I feel like they took very good care of me and my well being since I stayed with my father often.

I love you all so much for all the support and care you provided me and my family during this difficult time.

I was born in this hospital and I gave birth to my son in this hospital and many visits over the years. I've always considered it an amazing hospital in the emergency room with compassionate staff until last night. I brought my daughter to the emergency room at 9: 30 p.m. And the wait sign said approximately an 5.5 hour wait time. After about 10 hours I had to leave briefly so I went to what I believe to be the nurses station and informed them of the 10 hours and let them know I had to leave. I told them my daughter was sleeping and I didn't want to wake her as she was very sick and in a lot of pain and could someone please let her know that if she woke up I would be right back. Their first question was "well how old is your daughter? " And I responded 30. Then they asked "well doesn't she have a cellphone? " My response was wow this hospital sure has changed. Do they not realize it is an emergency room with sick people? Noone came in her room once to check on her or her vitals etc. I am shocked at the coldness of the staff. There was only 1 doctor for 30 patients all sleeping contorted in their chairs. The beds are stretchers with a pee pad no blanket and no pillow. The only reason I didn't give them only 1 star is that when the doctor came in he was phenomenal. I wish I remembered his name. He dealt with her illness very thoroughly. I forgot to mention that my daughter has a very high pain tolerance and she actually cried in pain last night. She asked one of the staff for a warm compress for the pain in her face and he basically told her she didn't need it. Absolutely disgusting. I would also like to mention the 3 security guards walked out a homeless patient because he was very loud in begging for help. They kicked him out in the cold and he probably needed stitches. I never dreamed this hospital would turn out like this. My daughter even said the female security guard mocked the situation. I'm very disappointed in this whole thing on Mother's day of all days.

I can’t possibly understand why the review is a 2.5 star!?
My experience was as amazing as a hospital visit can be, all of the staff from registering to release was spectacular.

I have had the chance of living in different cities of ontario and Had to visit different hospitals. Worst one was cambridge. Like literally. 11 hours wait for a 5 years old kid with 104 fever. Uti progressed to kidney infection. Thank you for ur service.

I’m 20 weeks pregnant and I did my emergency appendicitis surgery at Cambridge memorial hospital. It was ma unexpected surgery so i was completely zoned out on that time.the service of doctors and nurses really helped me to regain my strength. I appreciate their efforts too. I felt like I’m at my home. ️the emergency department is a bit slow, but if your condition is that much serious they will you the best treatment.and also especially if a pregnant woman who has completed 20 weeks they don’t need to wait anymore at the emergency department.they will get the proper treatment on time.

I came to this hospital and I couldn't even see a doctor. Nurse practitioner was the one who told me to take a decongestant and check for hearing loss. She even didn't check my lungs. I came there sick but left even sicker after such unprofessional treatment. I'm not coming back there.

A little confusing with the construction going on but the staff there guide you directly to where you need to go.
I was in & out of there in 20 minutes for a CT scan which is amazing!

I had a colonoscopy and endoscopy, was quite out of it when I left, I got home went to sleep woke to see that there was an IV left inside my vein in my arm…

How does a hospital let a patient leave with a fluid IV in a patient’s arm? Unbelievable!

I was in for some tests today and was thrilled to see the crew of volunteers! They were there as you entered, as you registered, they helped you not get lost as you walked through the halls. Outstanding! Thank you to all that helped, or just gave me a reassuring smile as I went by

I went to the emergency for a digestive problem, and after seven hours of waiting, those who came after me doctor visited

Terrible hospital for emergency. Went 2 times and waited for more than 7 hours and had to came back without seeing a doctor.

Terrible terrible hospital, wife is pregnant, was in a car accident today, went to make sure she was okay, got there at 3 decided to walk out of there at 1030, if you feel like wasting your time head on over to Cambridge memorial hospital, if you need blood work, which any blood clinic can do, they will help you right away, if your sick, and in terrible pain, head to another hospital, very disgusted with everything about this place, we got put on "the important list" which was not nearly as important as people needing blood work, wondering why there 2 stars? , one of the worst hospitals.

The day shift has always been the worst. If you wanted to be taken seriously for a non physical thing then go at night. They actually treat you like a person and listen to you.

Delivered my daughter here. Amazing drs and staff. The nurses were so supportive and kind. I would like to thank Dr. Green, Dr. Asa, and the whole team for taking care of me and my child.

I never thought I will give5 stars to this hospital as every time I visited this place I was disappointed, starting from staff and worse would be the doctors. I have been here multiple times with my daughter and lastly for myself couple of months ago and the doctor I met was very condescending towards me.
Last night I was there with my husband and the doctor we had was the best ever, I have never met any doctor like this in my whole life in an emergency.
DR JAS GILL. HE WAS AMAZING, CAPS USED TO MAKE HIS NAME STAND OUT. He was unbelievably welcoming and so thorough and made sure my husband got all his tests before he left and sat down and thoroughly explained in details of the results. Even the staff was nice last night, I guess the Doctors mentality rubs off on the staff on the day. I was watching him, he was actually treating all the patients the same way with NO discrimination. Even a patient who was there for a long time which is quite normal at an emergency left saying the doctor is awesome. This is what we need in a hospital, no one likes going there and the last thing you need is some arrogant individual with degrees.

The ER discharged a loved one who it turned out needed emergency (critical) surgery. (The surgery took place at another hospital but was delayed because my loved one got poor advice, causing complications.) Wouldn’t take a dog there. Doesn’t deserve this one star.

This place is heaven for me.

This place saved my mother with COVID19 who was in a critical condition and in coma for almost a month with no hope.

Thank you for bringing my mother to life.

The wait times are out of control. If it was a one-off due to staffing shortage, I could maybe understand but it is the longest average wait time in all of Ontario. They need more staff. I can't believe anyone can be properly treated or diagnosed when they are obviously this short staffed.

Also, if you are going to have an "isolation" Room in the ER for people you think are contagious, maybe clean and sanitize it once in a while.

Ya know, there's lots of negative reviews here and I understand that wait times can be long.but the staff here are very accommodating and the ones I dealt with today helped me through a difficult time - I appreciate the triage/nurses/ and doctor's who made my process easier they went above and beyond. Thank you

Took my daughter in two Saturdays ago for complications after a surgery yes the wait in the er was initially long but there were a lot of people needing help but they got her a bed. Once she was seen by the doctor they had pediatrics come down for a second opinion dr porwal was amazing and had a plan she was moved up to the ward. All the nurses went above and beyond to make my daughter comfortable and dr porwal and dr Martinez and his medical student were as well. I can't remember the night nurses name but she motivated my daughter to drink more liquids so she could go home and I am thankful for that because My daughter is stubborn.
