Very unprofessional driver!
I want to report an aggressive driving behaviour by one of your driver. I was with my family that’s why I didn’t follow him. I was driving down to hamilton around 11 PM near Skybridge. The truck driver with TRUCK NUMBER 942856 and TRAILER NUMBER 9P1480 was changing lanes without using blinkers. Tailgating, speeding through traffic and was about to hit me. I also drive commercial vehicle so, i know what’s wrong and right. I would have called HIGHWAY PATROL to report his driving, but I didn’t want to get him in trouble with his license.
I tried to call your safety guys no answering calls.

Shortly after the delivery people arrived, I said, “You are taking away the old dishwasher, correct? ” The response was this: “You will have to show us that you purchased appliance pick-up because Home Depot does not inform us of whether or not we are taking away the old appliance. ” Despite my attempts to inform them that they must have some information about this, the answer was that they do not. Well, how did you know which address to deliver the new machine to and how did you know which machine to deliver? The information must have come from Home Depot! I finally had to produce an email receipt before they would take away the old machine. Seriously?

The two delivery people then set the new dishwasher down on the hardwood floor by dropping it the last inch so that their fingers would not get pinched under the dishwasher. This caused some damage to the floor, which the two delivery people admitted at the time. When I asked what would be done about this, one of the delivery people took a picture of the damage, and started an incident report with Home Depot which included the photo that he took.

He then asked me to sign the proof of delivery to indicate that the dishwasher was delivered without damage. (My wife was standing beside me, and she recalls him saying the same thing.) He did not mention that I was also signing to say that there was no damage to the property. Therefore, the proof of delivery form was misrepresented because he already knew that they had caused damage to the floor, and that I wanted to begin an incident report. He also did not mention that I could sign with conditions and list the issues below.

When the two delivery people left, I tried to take the high road by saying, “Have a good day, gentlemen. ” One of them muttered something under his breath, and they both sauntered off my porch laughing.

Canada Cartage accepted zero responsibility for the damage to my floor. They ignored the incident report that was sent to Home Depot, and disregarded attempts by Home Depot’s insurance company who was trying to address the situation. Canada Cartage just kept on saying that I signed the proof of delivery indicating that there was no damage. Why would the delivery person start an incident report for me about the floor damage, if there was no damage to the floor? The two delivery people also later claimed that I caused the damage when I moved the dishwasher to inspect the floor. That is not accurate! There was no damage caused when I moved the new dishwasher to inspect the floor damage.

Do not trust Canada Cartage!

Best company to work for. Working since last 3 years. Lots of work (dryvan, containers, flatbed moffet, tanker) and get paid ontime. Safety bonus, Uniform allowance and all benefits paid by company.

Ordered a product for home delivery via Canadian tire. The product was assigned to be picked up and home delivered by Canada Cartage. Been more than 5 business days than the estimated delivery time and got no response and just a run around. Finally Canada cartage scheduled a delivery but no product delivered. Worst experience ever. Big scammers.

I ordered a specialty monitor required for work through Amazon, Amazon shipped through Purolator. Purolator released the monitor to an "authorized agent" (they won't say who) six days ago and that's when the tracking ends. I live 12 minutes from the Purolator depot and the monitor has been missing since the morning of 14 Jan. Needless to say I cancelled with Amazon and an investigation is under way. Apparently all tracking ends when an "authorized agent" gets your stuff. Totally unprofessional.

Update: After EIGHT DAYS with the "authorized agent" (and the item untraceable the entire time according to Purolator) this $2,000 computer monitor was brought BACK to the 330 Bayview (Barrie) terminal and I received an email stating that it's out for delivery today. This is after I told them many times that Amazon is sending me another monitor and that I won't sign for the late delivery as Amazon is launching an investigation. I'd bet almost anything that the "authorized agent" took it home to play with for a week. Stand by for more.

More: Canada Cartage truck 943327 showed up with ONE person with my 90 pound package. He bounced it out of the truck, dragged it up my driveway through the jagged ice and snow, over our car's charging cable, putting stress on the charge port and put one end up on the front step. When I told the driver to take it away, a replacement was coming and this shipment is under investigation he bounced it down the step, back over the charge cable and wrestled it back into the truck. The box showed obvious signs of crush damage.

I wouldn't ship used cat litter with Purolator or Canada Cartage now.

Out side carriers, use truck entrance. Check in with security via camera/speaker. Turn left Park in staging area parking spots in front of dock 35 to 68. (*** don’t block docks ***) walk-in to office door near dock 68. Canadian tire receiving is in trailer home office on left. Be patient standing at window, it can be 5 to 20 minutes plus waiting before they will check you in, same goes for when handing in truck keys. (*** don’t bother asking other drivers or staff, they are not very helpful ***). Fill out the COVID-19 form and hand-in truck keys once in dock.

This is not a good trucking company, the drivers are lazy and unhelpful. They refuse to unload from their own trailer. The driver exclaimed that he is paid by the hour and is not paid enough to unload the goods from the trailer. Rude and unprofessional. Granted maybe the diver is not paid enough. I am not sure, but I would put a zero rating if it were possible.

Do not waste your Time & Money in this company as a Company driver for local work especially to Work @ Loblaw location @ Cambridge. Always Paycheque missed the Money I entitled. Mr. Jacob Our Operation Manager does not care about Safety of our drivers, all he wants to get Trucks rolling down the road. Job Contract details for wages does not match to Actual Paycheque. Mechanics that take care of Trucks have hardly any respect for you, some of Mechanics does not even know what to speak especially the Old man that work afternoon shifts. No one cares about Trucks problems, they won’t listen to you nor put truck out of service, if in case if u told manager that this truck have safety issue. All they will do is they will pass the defective truck keys to next driver that comes in for starting shift thinking that particular driver may never find the defect in Pre-Trip Inspection.

Overall, Bad Experience.
Quit working after 1.5 months only

If Anyone interested in joining the company please visit the yard before joining to get the real idea from the drivers of company for that particular location/Place/Yard/City.

Ordered a couch from The Bay with delivery from Canada Cartage. The day arrives and we wait for our 3-7pm window, no one shows up. So I call and am assured he will be there before 8pm. OK, fine. We end up waiting all night and no delivery. No phone call that night or the day after. I finally call THEM to be told that I, the customer, need to reschedule my delivery with the Bay, where I’m told the next available delivery is TWO WEEKS AWAY. Not a single apology from anyone throughout the process. Unbelievable.

One of the leading companies of logistics and warehousing, a pioneer in their business. It's not hard, not to notice a Canada Cartage fleet truck on the roads. I regularly see one of their trucks, on the road or going down the highway. With that many trucks, they must be doing something right.

Worst company ever. No professionalism at all. They hire people in bulk and don't give work. Please if you're a truck driver with AZ license don't waste your time here. You're valuable and can find better jobs for yourself. If I can choose not to put stars I would do it. Sadly can't.

Guys please please please dont go and waste your time in this company, if you are going for your driving test, the chances for passing is zero, starting from receptionist to examiners all are super rude. Especially one of the examiner (old fat black guy) keep racial comments and disrespecting new drivers, he will make sure you fail, he will yell, scream and make you nervous until you make a small mistake and that's it. Not only that they also exaggerating and discriminating new drivers. Had a really bad experience with them.

Stopped working for this company within 6 months of starting as an O/O, I have been waiting 8 moths for my holdback to be paid, all my calls and emails are met with empty promises! I just want to move on! I can not believe such a large company is being so petty!

Horrible company. I ordered a fridge from Costco. They attempted delivery without contacting me. I called multiple time to be placed on hold and promised a call back that never materialized.

I wouldn’t trust them to deliver a news paper yet alone anything else.

The lady sasha working in office at cariff have no manners she hate the broker drivers that lady have no ability to work in canada cartage she should be somewhere else no manner of talking to new drivers too much attitude i am sure major reason for shortage of driver in this company is that lady.i came there as a company driver and then i changed my mind to work for broker. I done everthing test, training and all and today it was my first day on orientation but today she told me that you were Dishonest and you can not work for broker or even company.they wasted my time and at last tell me to go home. Please don’t keep that lady in canada cartage just throw her away

Supposedly had delivery for today between 1pm to 5pm on Saturday July 14 2018 receive phone call at 3: 27 pm saying would be here at 8-8: 30 pm ok so that was fine get call not even 15 mins later saying there not coming this is just not acceptable at all as this was refrigerator that was needed today this company is terrible customer service and not honest they need to be shut down and know how to be honest with customer I had used this company before that Home Depot uses if I had known this was shipping company whirlpool used I would if never went this way this company don’t even deserve 1 star
