USED ITEMS BEING SOLD AS NEW.

Scratches on supposedly new item, indicating previous usage of this USB hub. Disappointing and scummy business practices.

This company has employees that copy and steal your photos for their personal use when you get a device fixed there.

HUGE store! Would be a total nerd paradise.if only you could get anyone to help you. I build gaming PCs, and know my way around a motherboard. The selection here is better than anywhere else by a mile. But if you can't buy it, what's the point? I've been wandering around for half an hour looking at a number of different things with extreme interest, to not be helped by a single employee. They'd rather stand in pairs at their stations and chat or even gawk at me rather than even ask if I needed help with anything. I would have purchased a new SSD, PC case and CPU - if they'd have let me. This is why big box stores are dying. If you're going to put in the effort to drive to Markham from Toronto, this should be an experience. Ultimately it was - an infuriating one. I can be ignored and still buy things on Amazon.

A longtime staple of the Toronto PC enthusiast scene. Previously located a short way down the road, but now it is proudly set up at the location of a former BestBuy/Futureshop. Spacious and stocked with everything you would need to build or upgrade a computer. Staff is very helpful if you approach them with the right questions. Have been a customer here for years, would always recommend!

ONE OF THE WORST SHOPPING EXPERIENCE

I was trying to spend around 10-15 mins just to see if a set of wireless keyboard & mouse is available and at what price. Big sign requesting no backpack with about 12 free lockers at entrance (which policy is not store-wide; same is not found in Centrepoint Mall branch within the last 7 days). I spent around 5 minutes and tried 2-3 lockers but none of them worked, so I couldn't put down my bag and went in anyway. For security purpose, I assumed there are security tags & cams all over the place anyways. After all, this is a store that sells high-tech products, would be pathetic to be using low-tech ways in their operations.

After stepping inside, I got stopped twice by staff within 3 mins into the store asking me to put down my bag with me telling them that I tried but their lockers are not working. No one attempted to look at the locker and one of the staff even asked if I would like to leave the bag with them. I had no idea what made them think I could trust them with my personal belongings. As they are so concerned and unwelcoming customers with backpacks, I hence proceeded to leave the store. As I walked out, I saw the manager and told him that the lockers are not working and the staff are throwing me out. I was expecting a quick apology FIRST, then someone to check or assist me to a locker at the entrance. However, the Manager did NOT attempt to apologize and instead started to explain his staff's action or the store policy; that was really irrelevant to me, the customer. The damage is done and I continued to leave the store. The Manager? He just turned around and walked back - such "Great" Customer Care performance.

Throughout the whole time, NOT A SINGLE STAFF or even the MANAGER attempted to go and check the lockers; a simple assistance to the locker's operation or to verify that the customer's claim of malfunctioned locker would also be helpful,
both routes are essential to the implementation of the "No Backpack" policy, they are also simple and courteous. However, not even the manager has the sufficient training to perform such simple function. In such sense, how can such policy be implement without customer being kicked out or feeling uncomfortable as being constantly approached by staff as if every person with a backpack is a thief/shoplifter?

With such quality of service, it is not difficult to imagine how come a chained brand such as this taking up so large a venue having so few businesses. Other US companies and Amazon can easily prevail over this type of service. How sad.

Bought a motherboard with warranty and they wont return / refund me. Kept pushing me to go to manufacturer. Will not be buying anything from this store again.
27 June 2023 5:58
Good customer service. I wanted to buy a PS5 DualSense controller. I asked the employee where it was he told me the exact location, opened the cabinet and handed me the controller. He said that I get the warranty so if stick drift ever happened I could come and get my controller replaced. Overall good work! I hope to build my pc here in the near future.

Great shop, they have a lot of hardware in stock and usually have exactly what I'm looking for at a competitive price, great sales too, picked up a deal on a USB thumbs tick yesterday. What they do lack is floor help, only place you can find someone is at the desk and if there's actually someone working the floor to help costumers there's only 1 or 2 and they already busy helping someone else
19 March 2023 11:57
My favorite computer store you can go there for anything electronic related. The best part is the latest cutting edge technology gaming PC's and monitors I can spend hours here
01 February 2022 3:51
Service needs improvement as usual. Some employees really got attitude. The sale items are usually not in stock.

Justin Ren must be having an extremely bad day and must be coming off as a Karen because today he's just leaving bad reviews everywhere he's going. Clearly its an issue with him not any of the businesses he's visiting. I had a pleasant experience at this location and was helped right as I entered the door. I was greeted by Aram and was led to the aisle and he also answered a few questions I had. He honestly answered my questions he did not know the answer to but found out by asking the service center and got back to me with the information I needed. This location is huge and the actually help everyone they can as they enter.
Again JUSTIN REN and Olaf must really be having a bad day or just being really hard to deal with I saw everyone being helped and the line for checkout moving smoothly.

Made a reservation on a Sony 55 inch 4k hdr TV the other day around 11pm at night, the next day I wanted all day and never got a message about my order. So I jumped into the car and went to Canada computers they told me to check the store floor in the TV section so I did that, well there was only one TV left, and the website said 0 in stock when I made my order.

They could at least in the morning before opening the store remove the TV from the store floor so I can get the TV before someone else grabs it.

I needed a computer fairly quickly. Unfortunately, it was during the pandemic and all PC parts were sold out so I couldn't build my own.

I chose to buy a prebuilt PC and "upgrade" the ram. I wanted 32 gigs as opposed to 8 or 16. I also mentioned that I would want to upgrade FROM the original ram they gave me.

They proceeded to sell and install one of their "bottom of the barrel" rams.which was price gouged. At best 3000 MHz.

This is a company that is completely fine with lying to you and ripping you off at every opportunity they can. I was just an honest man who was candid with what I needed and they took advantage of it. The refunding process was such a headache I decided to take the loss.

NEVER going here again. I don't even write reviews. I'd rather you pay Jeff Bezos and go through Amazon because he won't rip YOU off. Just his employees.

Cheers,
Olaf

Ordered a bundle online along with a bunch of other items. Got the email saying everything is ready to pick-up. Went to the store and decided I wanted to upgrade some parts on the list.

Was told it would take 10 minutes for the server and the store systems to sync the changes. Fine. Walked around came back and then was told it would be another 10 minutes because it was 10 minutes to make the changes then another 10 minutes for the store system to update. Ok fine. Walked around some more, came back, now the story changed again that it would be 10 minutes on the server side and another 10 on the store side PER ITEM.

This whole process took almost 2 hours to complete. They "didn't know why it was taking so long to sync". And as a cherry on top the person cashing me out chose the wrong payment plan. So now I have to go into the store because corporate customer service can't do anything about it.but not any store.it has to be where you made the purchase from? Pretty archaic systems and processes for a company selling the latest and greatest tech.

Store is very nice. However, most of the staff here are not very welcoming from my past visits.

Fabulous service by Daniel J. I called to see if they sold AC plugs for an LG Monitor. They didn't but and after explaining the problems I was having finding one, Daniel got the Model number of the monitor from me and located one for me on Amazon. He even sent the link to me so I just had to click and order. This to me is customer service. Going above and beyond for the customer.

I have shopped in store in the past and also my sons and we have always had good service.

Thank you Daniel again for you fabulous service. You will go far in life.

They get 1 star only because there’s no zero stars. Worst service ever seen. Called in twice to confirm an item on hold, drove from Milton to Markam only to tell me they don’t have it anymore. ZERO customers service…LAZY employees who just leave you standing waiting for nothing.
14 December 2021 11:17
Came in recently with a monitor colouring issue. Spent 3 hours myself trying to fix it and brought my brand new monitor in person. The tech pros at the front were probably backlogged so they didn't try to trouble shoot much but Aram/Adam came to the rescue. He taught me about monitors, different cables/dongles, researched my current monitor, was very patient with me writing down settings and asking a lot of questions. I left leaving with a brand-brand new monitor from CC, dongles, and 3 year coverage. He never tried to sell me on anything or rush me. I am returning the other monitor to amazon. It's my first time at CC and it ended up great.

Their stock for mainstream/non gaming and specialty items such as mice and keyboards are very very limited. It is also extremely hard to navigate as there are no aisle signs. Would make a huge difference if they did for the overall experience which easily gets confusing and discouraging. Backpacks are not allowed, they can be locked in provided lockers at doors.
28 August 2021 2:55
I went in to look for a wide-screen monitor. Kenneth was super helpful and well-informed and made tons of great recommendations based on my needs. He very patiently explained the different features and specifications. They didn’t end up having the one I wanted in stock, so I’ve had to order it online, but the purchase is entirely due to the great customer service I received at this store. Thanks very much!
27 August 2021 22:03
New location at the old Future Shop building. Nice and spacious but lanes are not marked so its hard to find specific items.

Also take care of this specific entrance into the parking lot across from the McDonalds. If you're going southbound on the path leading out from the plaza and onto Hwy 7, DO NOT turn left into this entrance. Scraped my rim turning left into here and it seems this entrance is only for cars coming into the plaza. Absolutely terrible design and the no-left turn sign was so far up ahead that I wasn't sure it was to tell people not turn left into that parking lot entrance or not to turn left exiting the plaza.
28 July 2021 15:38
Covid friendly pickup was easy to understand and fast. Limit of two people inside the front doors was clearly posted and followed
01 July 2021 13:39
I honestly don't get all of these negative reviews. My experience with the staff and workers was very pleasant. Everyone there was polite, and it didn't take long for me to pickup what I had ordered (a laptop). The guy that assisted me was quick to grab the laptop, and show me that there were no damages or anything missing. Within the 10 minutes I was there, I had the laptop in my hands and was ready to leave. All in all, the great service and staff is surely enough for me to give this place more business.

Now, from what I'm reading, a lot of people are complaining about the defects/damages that their products have upon receiving it. If you're reading this, I heavily advise you to do a curbside pickup at a nearby location. Not only will this save you the weeks of time that the shipping would take (for instance, I went to pickup my laptop the day I ordered it), but you can also ensure that your product is undamaged and fine.

Don't avoid this store BECAUSE of the negative reviews. This place has fair prices across a wide range of products, so I wouldn't let a few incidents make me avoid this place.

(Note: Stores don't ship products anymore due to the pandemic and lockdown procedures. If you're reading this during these times, curbside pickup is probably the only option.)

Gave me back my computer with all the wires as a complete mess. It’s simple to give back a PC as it was initially brought in. Wouldn’t recommend this location, no pride in workmanship. Trying to pass on more fees to customers for wire management.
12 June 2021 21:36
It's not the easiest to find products as there is no signage. Has a warehouse style set up. Finding a staff member who is available is difficult.
25 May 2021 2:48
The staff here need to value their customers a bit more. I asked a couple of questions from one of the staff and they told me "I don't know you could search it up" and they never turned their head once while talking to me; they were just staring at a monitor like there is a naked chick is there lmao
18 May 2021 15:40
Very rude staff most of them, especially if by mistaken someone will inquire about a graphics card availability. To be honest, their customer services should be polite and courteous.
22 April 2021 2:35
Stay far away from this location. All the staff members act entitled especially the short lady at cash. You ask her a question and she has no product knowledge and looks at you like she just saw a ghost. I asked if she had a case in stock and she said go look for it, without offering any assistance. Never seen someone hate their job that much. Staff here rather stare at you than ask if you need help.

Guy at the exit whose job is to check your case glass for cracks tries so hard to work as fast as he can and forgets to put items back into the box. Literally had to remind him to put my case filters back in.

Overall all locations are terrible, but this location takes the cake.if NCIX was still around, id take my business there. Pretty sad this is the only physical store that has parts available like this.

Their return procedures/policies alone deserve a 1 star.
27 February 2021 7:23
Does not pick up phone and blocked my number when I tried to get an item from them that I cannot reserve online
05 February 2021 16:58
Absolutely horrid customer service.
Completely closed telephone lines.
And extreme lack of communication.

Cancelled my most important PC parts with no explanation, even though the rest of the build was purchased from that store.
12 January 2021 21:57
Terrible,

When I placed the order, all the items were in stock but as soon as the payment was done I got an email that all the times are in back order. ITs been 3 weeks since then and all the items are still in back order. Horrible customer support. No one picks the call and after being on the line for an hour you get forwarded to a full voice mail box.

Don't buy from here,
14 June 2019 10:25
Don't expect help when you walk in, just know that you have to know what you want. I like the fact they price match with Amazon. When I show them a cheaper price, they match and give an additional 10 percent off. That was my experience anyways.
21 May 2019 13:31
I have always had consistently the worse experience at this location of Canada Computers stores compared to all other locations. Perhaps some of the other reviewers got very lucky with staff members but I have not had such luck. I have been to this location three times over the last year and each time, their stock levels on basic items such as mice, keyboards, power supplies, fans, RGB lighting, etc.is never as good as the Newmarket location. I don't know if this location just sells out of their products too fast to keep it on the shelves or if there is stocking issues or what. Next up, the staff are extremely hard to track down and when you do find one, they aren't very knowledgeable with respect to computers and computer components. My guess is that most staff members have never build their own computer. I cannot speak about the service staff though as I have not had any dealings with them at all. In my opinion if you have any serious questions about parts and or performance of any kind, make the short drive to the Newmarket location or any other location.
19 May 2019 13:16
Their repair center is very good! I brought in my laptop for repair and they fixed it up really quick. It was under the protection plan so I didn't need to pay a thing.
13 May 2019 14:18
Great services there, friendly environment while remaining professional. Could shop there for hours. (if I had the money and time) Excellent employees, great talking to them whether it be tips or if you're searching for anything.
12 May 2019 12:10
Great location, store is good size, for a computer store they are really lacking in stock. Have a lot of unnecessary items like coffee machines.its not supposed to be a staples.
05 May 2019 4:37
Good Canada Computers. Wish they had more desktop cases in stock when I went though. Got parts for my 2080 build here.
02 May 2019 17:39
Came in today on my lunch break which is very limited time. I got the March break sale in my email and knew what I wanted. Store was dead. Not busy at all. Found my item right away, walked up to cashier named Krissy. L. Who I said hi to. She doesn't even acknowledge I'm there or say hi back. Seems her email she's writing out is more important then checking out a customer so they may get back to thier jobs. I went to see if the other cashier was ready and he's still helping another customer. So I went back to Krissy and asked if she was a cashier. She let out a sigh and replied with "I need to finish this email first" I then replied you do realize you can tab out of the email. Check the customer out and get back to it right? Can I talk to a manager. Manager comes out and confirms a customers time and money is much more important then any rediculous email she has in priority. Or maybe she's just blowing the boss and feels she's above the customer to do her job properly?
02 May 2019 16:17
Poor Customer Service! All these Chinese guys keep talking to each other and does not greet customers that walks in.
29 April 2019 17:16
We checked availability on line in this location and pick up what I wanted quickly after I arrived at the store.
20 April 2019 12:24
There was a clerk who served me and he kept cursing,There is no quality and I have a complaint to make.
20 April 2019 1:59
Good. Helpful. Bathrooms were 3rd world, not that you go their intending to use the facilities. The displays and general ease of access to products were good, a but dusty in some places (cases).
08 April 2019 13:37
Knowledgeable staff with most having genuine interest in the tech they sell, You can always find someone in the store that knows all the little details about almost anything they stock.
The only downside I would say is that sometimes their prices are not as competitive compared to online retailers, however having a store to actually see and hold a product and talk to the staff is a nice compromise.
02 April 2019 16:31
I live just 5 min from this store so I visit it very often to make my purchases.
Pro: The prices and selection of this store are great. No question about that. You can do some research and check for yourself, which leads to the Con.
Con: YOU MUST DO EXTENSIVE AMOUNT OF RESEARCH BEFORE MAKING ANY PURCHASES. There are almost no knowledgeable staffs to help you. Customer service is close to none. Workers there are just there to work, not to serve or satisfy customers' needs. Do not expect to depend them on anything.

Summary: Great price! Great Selection! Employees suck!
22 March 2019 10:51
Huge selection! I came here from Barrie to grab some parts that were not available in the Barrie location. This is one of the largest location I have been to, with everything from vacuums to phone cases to computer parts not found anywhere else.
24 February 2019 18:47
Their price and quality are decent compare to other computer store (Amazon/Neweggs) but It will be awesome if CC can provide free shipping service for purchase that is over 100d, I have spent over 15k with their products in past 2 years and I basically paid extra 200d just for the shipping cost, which sucks,
20 February 2019 17:52
Their repair center is very good! I brought in my laptop for repair and they fixed it up really quick. It was under the protection plan so I didn't need to pay a thing.

I was also helped by a sales rep who helped me quickly find the item I needed and they knew a lot about the product. Sure beats Best Buy when it comes to great customer service!
12 February 2019 11:08
The staff are always on the ball. I had checked on line and the Markham location web site indicated had one item in stock.

I called and spoke to a staff member who put it aside for me. Then collected the item about half an hour later.
07 February 2019 22:44
I come here for all my memory cards, wires, cords.
I like how the staff leave you alone and don't bug you.
I was setting up a home theatre and they had all the wires and connectors I needed.
