The clinic was very helpful. Dr Matz and his team provided wonderful care before, after and during the procedure. The results are amazing!

The end result of the non thermal ablation is great! But I wish they gave me something to numb the pain. It was extremely painful, but my veins are just under the skin so it likely hurt me more than most people.

This is a long read but I thought it's useful to give details so you see what you're possibly getting into. I waited over a month for appointment. On Tuesday at 11 I checked in. The receptionist didn't want to see my health card. Another man checked in after me. The technician eventually came out and called what I thought was my name. Me and the other man both stood up as we have similar first names. They took him. The receptionist asked me if I had an appointment. Not kidding. She looks on her computer and figures out that I had the correct day and time. No apology given. She tells me to come back in an hour and a half. Then she says she can do an hour. I come back at 11: 50 and am waiting outside when the receptionist calls me and tells me again to come back at 12: 30. I can't do 12: 30 so she says come up at 12. As I'm on the phone I see the technician come down and I guess go for lunch. I get up there and wait.until 12: 20 when the technician arrives with her Tim Horton's coffee. I wait a few more minutes and am finally called in. She's doing the ultrasound on one leg when I look at the monitor and see the other mans name on the screen. I tell her that's not me or my information. I ask her if she saved his information on my name and my details are on his profile now? She then tries to save the images and whatever else she had and tries to create a profile for me. She doesn't know what to do so she deletes everything she had done. I told her this is totally unprofessional. She actually agrees with me, but then tries to convince me to stay and finish. So I leave. Unfortunately the receptionist wasn't even there so I couldn't find out if my information and the other mans were mixed up and if this would be submitted to the government. This was the worst medical appointment I've ever had by a mile and I've had a few bad ones. I highly recommend you go anywhere else. If you do go, I wish you luck.

Despite the challenges of continuing to practice during Covid, Dr Matz and his team have done a great job taking care of me before, during and after my surgery. At the 4 month point, I am happy with the results of my procedure and hope to see continued improvement as time passes.

I am glad I came across Canada’s vein clinic on line. At first, I did not believe the cure of vein on my legs as I have tried healing / curing it in the past. I thank God I did give it a try. I did my procedure and I did not feel much pain and before a month, the veins are not visible anymore; I was scared it might come back but, it’s more than a year now and I’m glad I can wear shots. I had a vena seal procedure on both legs. The team, the nurses and doctors are very professional and helpful. The virtual consultation and follow ups are excellent as well. I recommend the procedure to everyone who has varicose veins and even if they have done vein stripping, I just wish I knew about this procedure before I had the stripping. My experience with Canada vein clinic was great.
From my consultation to the COVID outbreak, I thought I had lost my chance. But soon enough they were prepared and ready to proceed with caution of course. The procedure took little time, both legs in under two hours. The recovery was non existent. Luckily I did it in the summer so I was able to start walking outside immediately. I even walked half way home from the clinic.
The results were instant for me and now almost 5 months later I couldn’t be happier.
No popping veins, no tiered legs!

Procedure and followup were as advertised, and I am very happy with the result.

I have to admit - I was skeptical. Although I had some, shall we say, issues with digital correspondence from one member of the team, the rest of the process was simple and easy. And, for the first time in quite a number of years I don't have swelling and issues with my left leg feeling leaden at the end of a day. Complications were nominal or nonexistent and, save for two minor scars of less than 1cm where the incisions were made, my leg looks fantastic. Expensive but totally worth it!

After nearly 40 years of practicing family medicine one becomes very selective about the practitioners to whom one turns for personal help. After a gradually deteriorating situation with varicose veins, I consulted a colleague to discuss treatment. His personal experience, having had his own veins treated with laser therapy at a clinic in a different province, had been very disappointing. His veins had responded very little to the treatment and he felt that both the clinic and the physician cared more for their income than for the outcome of his treatment.

I began to research vein clinics in my area and was generally not impressed however finally I decided to try Canada Vein Clinics where I encountered Dr. Alex Matz. I received a very thorough examination by him and a very frank conversation about what he expected if I proceeded with his treatment. I was impressed by his manner and by the fact that he is a qualified surgeon who has upgraded his training to specialize in varicose vein treatment. I elected to receive Venaseal which was administered in a strictly sterile, operating room type of environment. As warned, I did experience some discomfort. At first my leg looked like a mess but the pain afterwards was minimal. After several days a repeat ultrasound was performed to make sure that there were no complications. Within two weeks I was able to go on an extensive road trip.

This is written five months after the procedure. My leg looks terrific. A lot of the discoloration which had been slowly growing is now almost completely gone. There is only one small area where a varicose vein is visible and there is a marked reduction in swelling. My leg is comfortable all the time.

Overall, my experience with Dr. Matz and his clinic is entirely positive. I’m so grateful to have received expert care from him and his staff. I very strongly recommend his clinic and his treatment protocols.

Dr. Matz is an excellent doctor to consult with if you are suffering from varicose vein pain and constant discomfort. My leg was so painful and uncomfortable that I couldn't get a good night sleep. I met with Dr. Matz and he described each different kind of procedure to me and then recommended which procedure he thought would be best for me. The procedure was Claravein and it was done right in the clinic. Dr. Matz and the nurse were very professional and compassionate. I was given lots of support and when I was unsure about my healing process, Dr. Matz was available to me by phone to reassure me that everything was ok. It has now been one year since my treatment and I am extremely pleased with the results. I have no more pain and no more bulging veins!
