Canada's Wonderland is marvelously decorated with lights during the winter holidays. You can easily spend hours and hours there as most of the park is under lights. This year we were lucky as the snow started just as we came in, there was no wind, and it was not freezing. We recommend bying tickets with the flexible date to avoid the weather ruining the experience. Be ready, thought, to overpay for parking and food, but be also ready to enjoy the beautiful ambient. Don't rush it.

My experience on Halloween haunt was terrible. The organization was negligible. We lost our bags at the collection counter, and the crowd inside was faster than what could be managed.
What was worth it was the many performers and rides.
The rides are what makes this whole place worthwhile. Unfortunately, the snaking queues and limited management and food options make it a less than ideal vacation.
The picture at the entrance gives you an idea what to expect on these special days

It's Wonderland. It's fun. Stop reading this and just go. Ride Leviathan. It's worth it.
24 September 2023 5:42
Lots of fun, kid had a blast. However, the drink wristband stations were awful. No ice and flavorless drinks in a heat wave. Not cool
23 September 2023 22:48
The queues are huge
The park is big
It's better to take a yearly subscription
You won't get much done in one visit.
Average queue length 40 min-1.2 hours
18 September 2023 18:44
First experience of Halloween haunt. Not so scary but good. The ruins and corn maze are good. Dark ride is ok. Fire show was amazing. No long waiting lines on few rides.
16 September 2023 21:07
Always special to visit here with the kids as it was special to visit with my parents when I was a kid
14 September 2023 4:39
Awful experience here as new immigration. Some People here are so rude. I was expecting to have a good night, while a female worker’s being so rude, pushy and inreasonable. Finally seeing that the beautiful and fragile case the society hold, while the dark inside just unpreventably leaking. Back to the point, the land is hiring some really low standard character NPCs during the Hollywood. Consider twice before taking your kids here, if you don’t wanna end up being orally degraded and exported from the land only because u wanna scare somebody during the festival.
11 September 2023 15:40
I lost my good mood today because of her bad attitude and racial discrimination! My heart aches!
02 August 2023 5:16
Great value, really, considering you get an amusement park AND a water park in one. Only gripes are the food is crazy overpriced ($20 for foot long sub, $15 poutine), and Splash Works water was 100% NOT heated. I'd argue it's as cold as Georgian Bay. Freezing cold.
19 July 2023 23:30
Just remembered how awesome this place is. There is something for everyone no matter what you're age or level of aventure that you are looking for.
01 February 2022 8:29
Super chaotic getting in. Be prepared for long lines getting into the parking lot and into the park. It’s $22 to park and if you want to go skating, make sure you book it online because it sells out pretty quickly. You can rent skates or bring your own. You’re also required to fill out a waiver before you go skating, and the rink was a bit too crowded. Some of the rides are open. Overall, Winterfest is something to see this year! The lighting, decorations, and Christmas carols were very well done!
19 January 2022 14:52
First time at winter fest and first time back since the pandemic started. Was pleasantly surprised with how everyone was being respectful of everyones personal space and keeping their masks on. The lights and shows were fantastic! Kudos to all the staff that worked so hard on all the displays.
14 January 2022 13:25
Great fun for family with small children, but the expense is huge; from parking $22, to passes and then the food and souvenirs (outrageous$$$)! Found it hilariously ironic, the Mistletoe store does not sell Mistletoe ornaments!? P. S. Warning: If flashing lights trigger migraines/seizures, there's a chance it could happen with a couple of the areas you may walk through.
09 January 2022 6:02
I have been super impressed all year with how they managed with COVID. Of course there were small disappointments this year, but including next season with our passade this year just feel like a bonus. Also never done Halloween and Christmas before, and it was way better than expected.
08 January 2022 23:24
The park is decorated very magically with lights for the holiday season. The food and drinks are very expensive for regular average food and drink. Half of the staff are uncomfortably unfriendly just going through the motions. It was sad because prior to 2020, I used to be impressed how friendly wonderland employees were.
08 January 2022 11:17
It's okay there. Absolutely none of the charm of paramount wonderland, but they try.
Over priced for what you get, and good luck seeing a ride within a reasonable wait without a fast pass.
Quite a bit of strewn around garbage.
The staff are attentive and polite for the most part.

Hopefully they implement some changes post covid, to reclaim customers that have been loyal for years.
08 January 2022 5:32
A lot better if you go with a group of friends. Just choose the right day and time or you will get stuck in long lines.
29 December 2021 7:46
I did Winterfest only but it was great. Clean park, clean washrooms, people respected distance even outdoors. Entertainment was awesome.
23 December 2021 14:30
Terrible customer service. Allow people to smoke in line at leviathan and no sanitizer in containers when entering lines or coming rides. All containers empty. No one wearing mask in lines or anything. Let customer service know and there response was to offer me the chance to purchase a season pass at full price (which I can do on my own)
21 December 2021 7:19
Amazing staff (as always), minimal issues getting in and out or using any of the facilities. Winterfest attractions looked amazing.
18 December 2021 0:15
I really enjoyed the winterfest. I came in November even it was raining hard but I really enjoyed the time.
16 December 2021 0:51
Canada's Wonderland has implemented a illegal policy mandating vaccination passports. The policy clearly outlines the outdoor events and parks are exempted. Waiting to get into the park
Waiting to get on a ride
Waiting for the restroom
Waiting for food with astronomical fees.
. Not worth the wait.
06 December 2021 4:50
Great entertainment and fun shows for the family as well as rides and food. 100% would recommend to any family looking to enjoy some shows and a beautiful park with lots to do.
04 December 2021 21:35
Overpriced! Total $100 for 2 people through online booking. $30 per person, $22 for parking, $9 "processing fee" (its like free money) and remaining as tax followed by long waits and line up to enter. Not cool.
03 December 2021 4:17
The winter wonderland is pretty stunning. I don't think there was a single tree there that didn't have lights on it.
Yes they were still little line ups here and there but all in all it was pretty good.
I would recommend it if you wanted something to get you into the Christmas spirit.
29 November 2021 17:14
Canada's Wonderland is always a great place to go. It's clean and big on service. The Halloween Haunt was disappointing because of the long line ups, lack of scary mazes and lack of Halloween themed events. It did respond to the needs of those that are COVID safe by having open space mini mazes, which were really 20 feet long at best, but they had less live actors as seen in the past. I expected more but it wasn't bad by any means. Just came up short. Good for teens, but one visit was enough for me.
27 November 2021 5:32
My kid phone battery died, so ge when to the staff and told them that he is lost and needs to call his mom, all the stutt persons who he approached told him to go away and not bather them, and they can't help, that is ridiculous and unsafe, they shold take him to the office there and try to help him
26 November 2021 4:00
A lot of screams I did not realize would provoke my PTSD from when I was beat as a young boy and was forcefully removed from my home country and put on a boat with hundreds of other kids like me and sent to Canada. Other than that, food was really good but a bit expensive, rides are fun but some long lines. Photos are of me as a young lad right after I was sold to a family in Canada (despite the poor experience to get there my family was very accommodating and friendly)
08 November 2021 8:02
Kids had a blast as always.mine are 13 and 17. Little pricy for basic food and of course you can bring nothing in to eat. I do object to getting hit up for the parking, I always feel that is just the extra kick that makes it overpriced.
31 October 2021 6:15
Went to Halloween Haunt this year. The website said Turkey Legs would be available, but no Turkey legs could be found anywhere. I could understand why no mazes were running, but it didn't feel as open as previous years, I would've kept cornstalkers (the outdoor maze) open to reduce crowding in the park, but it was crazy. I appreciate what they could put together in 2 weeks, but overall not a great experience this year.
25 October 2021 5:55
Nonexistent customer service. Bought Halloween Haunt tickets for the wrong date and wasn’t able to switch it online. They didn’t answer the phone, email, or social media at all.
07 October 2021 7:26
Great place for adults and kids. Seasonal decorations are worth to see, halloween, Christmas. Food is overpriced for the quality bring your own.
27 September 2021 13:20
Always fun for the whole family; however, the majority hand sanitizing stations outside of the rides were empty. Attendants ensured that masks were worn on all rides, but there was no enforcement at the water park or while walking in between rides.
09 September 2021 0:00
I realize that covid has been difficult for businesses however Canada's Wonderland has not recovered yet. None of the vending machines work for water, $6 water by the way. That will be my last visit
03 May 2021 10:39
Canada's Wonderland has been a staple in my life. As a kid, I visited nearly every year with my family during our summer. I've always had great experiences, and they're always adding something new to keep it interesting.

Lots of wonderful memories made at this park - and when compared with competitors such as Six Flags in the USA, I generally find Canada's Wonderland to be a cut above average when it comes to park cleanliness, service, and rides.

I look forward to returning once the COVID-19 pandemic eases and we can all safely return to normal activities. With any luck, CW will be able to swiftly recover from this economic crisis, as I will dearly miss CW for some time.
24 April 2021 11:41
I've always had fun and gathered superb memories plus experiences, and they're always making something new to keep the park super interesting. Lots of memories made at this park with my family. I look forward to reopening of park once the COVID-19 lockdown eases and me and my family can all safely go back to normal activities.
08 April 2021 10:30
We went there in 2019, and the rides were very fun! I would've given 5 stars if it weren't for the extremely long wait times for the rides and food. Food is also very overpriced. The rides were definitely as fun as I was told, but we were only able to do a few due to the waiting time. I still enjoyed my time there very much, and will be going back again. However, if you want to go there, I reccomend bringing your own food and eating it in your vehicle. Great experience, lots of fun, will go again! Definitely reccomend trying the rides!
30 March 2021 22:45
One of my favourite places to go to in the summer time or even fall. Love everything about this place from the rides to the food to the entertainment to the water park. I never have a dull moment.
12 March 2021 10:04
Brought the kids from Kingston to check it out last year and they enjoyed it but it’s way too expensive in terms of food and games
28 February 2019 5:31
The staff are consistently awful. They would sell a lot more concessions if the lineups had an expediter that could keep things moving. When you get to the front you can always see there is no reason for the delays
22 February 2019 18:47
Fun experience for a guys day out, girls night out, family trip or just going out for a solo adventure. Great food. Excellent entertainment. Sky high rides and lots of things to keep the less daring Wonderland explorers, such as Bumper cars, Go Carts, Arcades and many more fun packed activities!
16 February 2019 2:52
It's an amazing place for kids; Roller coasters and other types of entertainment are available too. If you ever wonder where to take your family on weekends you should definetely consider going there at least once.
08 February 2019 12:43
The only amusement park where the season pass pay for itself after the second visit. I usually get the season pass for myself and children and use my off days to hangout with my kids. They have rides for different age groups and the dinosaur park and water park are a great hit with the kids. Their foods are expensive, so can either pack a lunch or go off site to eat. Overall, it’s value for money and the kids will have a wail of a time enjoying all of the rides!
06 February 2019 15:54
Worth visiting 1x a year. Maybe get a season pass one year and abuse it, just so you know the whole park. No chance you can get on all the rides in one visit otherwise. Run across the parking lot and cross the street for food, the extra walk is worth it to dodge these insane prices. Waterpark is just too crowded, avoid it if your only visiting for one day.flight deck has EXPIRED let that thing go, it was fun years ago but now its just.painful. Halloween haunt is so refreshingly fun tho, looking forward to the winter fest too
02 February 2019 10:35
Fun for the whole family at any time of year. They're always adding new rides and the fast pass was a great addition although pretty pricey. I would suggest buying online and heading there very early to secure parking and to get on some of the more popular rides before the park fills up.
24 January 2019 12:20
A great place to hangout with friends and family!
Make sure you try all the rides!
Entry fee allows you to take almost all the rides except 2-3 which you need to pay additional!
Not a great place to have food!
Buy tickets online to get them for cheaper rates!
Worth of time and money!
24 January 2019 9:49
This place USED to be good. But, as of August 2018 when I was there last, they have chronic and very severe issues with running the park, as if it was run by a high school student with no working background possessing very few class passing grades. The staff have absolutely no sense of customer service - everything is your fault and they are saints. Complaints are brushed off and not handled seriously, and I don't appreciate being spoken to like a crazy child idiot person. I bought a ticket using a promo code my uncle gave me through his work, and they said it was valid on one specific day, which was very surprising considering that nowhere on the ticket or the website when I placed the order indicated this. Usually you just buy a ticket for the season and use it at some point. The staff refused to refund me, admit me, or help me in any way. They said I had to pay full gate price for the ticket, which is the most expensive option. I was extremely upset but couldn't leave because a friend was already in the park, and it took me an hour on the GO bus to get there. Then, there were lines and crowds literally everywhere, even in the vast hill expanse of grass behind Wonder Mountain. In super hot heat, you are required to have a drink immediately when you become dizzy or your vision starts to grey to avoid passing out, and it is totally unacceptable to have a line that takes 20 minutes for just a cup of pop - give me the cup, tap my card, and I will fill it. 15 second transaction. Even washrooms had lines, I was tempted to use a tree because it wasn't moving, and when you have the digestive problems I have, you can wait no more than 5 minutes. Everything was also very, very unreasonably and unfairly expensive, considering a one day ticket costs somewhere around $60. $7 for a cup of pop is not acceptable (cost for a 20oz drink + water + flavouring syrup + electricity = less than 25c). A small fries for $10 isn't either (3 potatoes for a medium fries + oil + electricity or gas = less than 10c). A pizza slice for almost $10 is also unacceptable. A sub was nearly $20 (when the rest of the city charges less than $7, but remember, you can't leave the parking lot to drive and get it and come back) and they wouldn't take Subway coupons. Even candy was ridiculously priced. Because I have digestive problems, I have a very specific diet, and there were virtually no options available to me. The buffet is disgusting, many items had the taste of Mr. Clean in them, the salad was washed but it was contaminated with some kind of sauce (not dressing but like a brown gravy, not balsamic either) and way overpriced for the value of what you get (should be more around $12 than $30 - greedy!). I also saw cockroaches on a couple tables because the bussers were leaving dirty guest plates on the table for a significant period of time and not doing their job and taking it away reasonably quickly after the guest leaves. Ride lines take forever and are typically filled with obnoxious teenagers, which isn't the fault of the park, but the employees watching the line who do nothing about it except bark at you when your feet are tired for standing in line for an hour and you want to sit down and use the handrail. I really hate this place, it's no longer fun except for 3 rides or so, but sadly it's the only place close to me where I can go on a roller coaster with a much lower risk of death than the CNE. I'd love to teach the employees customer service skills, and just how to be a proper human being to someone who needs help. I'd even teach them how to do proper accounting so they can change their ridiculous markups on important things, and find revenue generating streams elsewhere. Hell, I'd even teach and consult for them for free if it meant that everyone would benefit. Very unacceptable and disappointing. They seriously do not deserve at all the profit margins they're currently receiving from gouging customers. I swear the news should cover the current state of this park, seriously.
23 January 2019 6:14
Decent options for planning ahead and buying seasonal passes. Good selection of rides, there are ways to beat the lines if you're willing to go when it's not so sunny out or a weekday. Beware crazy food prices as expected - you can leave and return to the parking lot so picnic is an option.
19 January 2019 3:34
I have never experienced more hostile and rude staff than in Canada's Wonderland. At the entrance, those racist bigots had to search me, apparently they didn't allow "weapons" into the park. I need a cane to walk, but they took it away and threatened to call the police. So what if it had a sword in it? I need that to walk! So I entered the park, limping around, and apparently I was too tall to get on any of the rides. I am only 6'6", I could barely ride anything. I tried to get on Leviathan, but they told me very aggressively that I needed to leave. I pretended not to hear them and stayed in line, but they started yelling louder and louder. I got to the front of the line, excited to ride the leviathan, but they stopped the ride and told me that if I did not leave, they would call security. I told them that I am not going anywhere, and that I paid to come here, and that I have a right to ride the leviathan. I climbed over the small gate that separates the platform and the cart, and I went into the cart and strapped myself in and pulled down the restraint. They called security, and I told them that if they wanted me to leave, they would have to come drag me out. So they did. Or at least they tried. We had a three minute tug of war, where they kept trying to pull me out of the cart, but I just pushed down the restraint really hard so I wouldn't move. They ended up getting two more guards to come and eventually pull me out. They were extremely rough and violent towards me. The adrenaline kicked in, and I ran away from them. They chased me from the leviathan, all the way to the water park. They eventually caught up to me because of my leg injury, and they tried to grab me. I fell down and badly scraped my leg. I got up quickly and my leg was bleeding badly, but I still managed to run away from them. These guards had absolutely no mercy, and it became their destiny to catch me. Five more security guards were called, and I had a total of nine guards chasing me through the water park. I jumped into the lazy river to get away, but my leg was still bleeding badly. They ended up closing the lazy river and everyone had to evacuate. I swam through the entire lazy river, but they were waiting for me at the end. I stayed in the river, thinking that they wouldn't jump into the water to get me, but I was wrong. They took off their radios, and climbed in and tried to pull me out. It took about seven of them to successfully get me out of the lazy river, they then forcefully escorted me out of the park. I was angry that I wasted my money on what I thought would be a fun day at Canada's Wonderland, but I was wrong.
12 January 2019 5:34
An awesome place too go. Lines are way too busy in the summer and well the bathrooms are always dirty they aren’t clean. When I go it’s so busy there should be a limit on how many people should be in the park, also clean the bathrooms
09 January 2019 19:54
Amazing place to come with groups, family or for a date. It gets pretty busy especially in the summer. The food is prices but the experience is worth it. A funnel cake is a must.
06 January 2019 17:42
Have had the opportunity to attend a lot of amusement parks throughout North America, mostly in the North Eastern US and Florida. Good things are the parking is easy, close to the entrance. Can leave to have a picnic and return to the park saving of food costs. The rides themselves are adequate at best. CW rates itself as having the most rollercoasters of the bigger parks in North America.

Problem is only two rollercoasters are worth going on (Behemoth and Leviathan). The remainder are very weak. Flight Deck, once CW main coaster is one of the worse inverted coasters around and desperately needs replaced. Sad part is I love the inverted coasters at other parks. They are all roughly the same with the same feel. The remaining coasters are old and were great in their day but with the new modern smooth coasters they really haven't held the test of time. Yukon Striker coming in 2019 will be a nice addition.

Some of the flat rides are ok but in fairness I'm a rollercoaster person so usually critical of most flat rides. Wonder Mountain Guardian is not bad and a nice change in the typical rides. Psyclone is ok but compared to a similar ride at Cedar Point is weak.

Fast pass for the day is expense like most amusement parks but offers front of the line service all day as opposed to selected rides only once.

Food like most parks is way overpriced but if you attend an amusement park you come to expect this issue.

Great place to check off the bucket list but after you go once will find other parks have a better overall experience and thrill rides.
06 January 2019 12:48
Lots of parking. Lines can be long on more popular days but quicker if you purchase tickets online prior to arrival (we usually get annual passes on mother's day weekend.its less busy to get your photos taken) - we bring a cooler for lunch.you have to leave it in your vehicle and return to it at lunch.make sure you get stamped on your way out.easier to gain re-entry. We do find that buying a drink refill pass is helpful as someone is always thirsty after screaming in excitement coming off a ride.haha
There is a parking day pass that you can pay extra for on your way in to gain a parking spot closer to the entrance on busy days.
05 January 2019 9:14
Best place to enjoy

Awesome thrilling rides

Fun place for family

Children can have their own space fir enjoyment

Couple of rides are really breath taking and scary.
04 January 2019 10:33
Canada Wonderland is amazing I've been there at least 100 times with my family and can never get border of it there's even a water park it amazing even gift stores
01 January 2019 18:23
Been coming to this place since 2010. Best attraction in Toronto, always something to do, if it’s a show or attraction. Only downside is the food prices, but just eat a big meal and then you can just find a snack.
22 December 2018 7:05
We had lots of fun there are a family. It wasn't a cheap start-up but we ended up getting season passes for all of us as well as 2 dining passes and a parking pass.and we went probably around 15 times. It's fun but doesn't have any healthy food options and is pretty expensive for what you get.
11 December 2018 13:11
This place is a joke when it comes to customer service. Management doesn't care or get involved. People cut lines all the time. Lines are long enough, security staff does nothing.

Food lines are the same. People always cutting in and employees are serving them. Even if they are in the wrong line. Beware you may wait in line for something they no longer have available. It happen to me twice with buffalo chicken of all things.

The 3 stars are for the ride selection they have. One of the best in the world I hear.

Another concern I have is overcrowding. I'm sure they are breaking the law. I also don't think they have enough emergency exits. When I asked the manager to show me where the emergency exits were he said he didn't know.
30 November 2018 18:09
Just 1 star for their sheer passion to be anti-vegan across the park. The rides are really great, especially the Leviathan is the one to check out. There are other few paid and unpaid rides which are great and people will definitely enjoy. Even on a busy day, the lines move fairly fast, so there isn't so big of a wait time. But I am not returning ever here due to the hostile food culture.
First of all, if you cannot cater to specific dietary needs, DO NOT ban outside food into the park. And spell out clearly on the website, what dietary needs are you hostile to. Secondly, vegan doesn't mean just salads and fruits. It's like you are still in the 1900s. On their website, they do mention Backlot Cafe having vegan options like just 2 curries but there are two problems - the service at Backlot Cafe sucks big time. Secondly, their non-separation of meat and non-meat isn't really encouraging for vegans. Absolutely Pathetic!
It seems like in Canada, specific organizations have adopted a highly anti-vegan policy like Tim Hortons and now it seems like Cedar Fair Entertainment has also joined the wagon.
