Salesperson Dave was great. Horrible "white glove" delivery and installation! First delivery and set up guys made a huge mess, did not clean up, left garbage all over the counter top, used dishsoap on the floor to move the washer/dryer easier. Left without cleaning. They did not level or plumb the washer / dryer, said that was not part of their job. Did not screw the drain hose in place. And even worse, they put the dryer where the washer goes and the washer where the dryer goes! After speaking with customer service and sending pictures they sent another crew back to swap the washer and dryer, they were much better but did not level/plumb the units, did not put the duct out the side which made the dryer sit 4" out from the top of the counter top. Again, said it wasn't their job. I told them this was supposed to be " a white glove job". They laughed. I had to spend 1 1/2 hour to re-do their job job and do it correctly. I hope no one ever pays for this service. It was horrible, a waste of time and money. Sam Steele

Did not has good experience.
Without information shipping chrages was added in invoice which i later found out after invoice was paid.
Website says free shipping but was charged $90. When I brought it up a story was made that they have to show it in invoice and blah blah. Later was reverted back when I called for order cancelation.
Also I was offered discount on the condition of taking additional warranty on product by like $1000 discount on buying $500 in additional warranty which is misleading and over sale

Dave Thomas at the Whitby location is amazing. He's got years of experience and knowledge in the appliances business. Based on my personal experience with Dave and Canadian Appliance Source the Customer Service there is top notch in my opinion. Dave always goes above and beyond to assist with finding me the right product to meet my needs and at the right price. They also kept me up to date using the latest in technology to let me know when my delivery is going to arrive right up to the minute and they are always on time. I feel confident in recommending them and to keep buying my appliances from them.
Thanks to Dave Thomas at the store and Orville the delivery guy, they were both personable and pleasant to deal with. From store to delivery to my door, they nailed it. Thanks Canadian Appliance Source

I am not the kind of person to leave reviews but our experience with them was so terrible, and they are so unwaveringly bad with their customer service that it is the only recourse I have besides not doing business with them again.

Long story short, an item we ordered was missing a key part which puts the project timeline in jeopardy, and rather than owning their mistake and dealing with the issue their only response is essentially, "not our problem, contact the manufacturer"

This place is a great example of why you should avoid big box chain stores when you can.

Purchased a dishwasher which arrived September 2021. On arrival they make you sign a release that everything is in good condition but the delivery men did not remove the dishwasher from the box as that is CAS policy. So we didn’t even see the appliance to confirm it was in damaged. I asked the delivery men if I could open the box before signing but they were in a rush to make more delivery and refused to wait- so I reluctantly signed the waiver. We paid a third party to install the dishwasher the next day, we discovered a huge dent on one corner of the door like it had been hit with a sledge hammer. Which we immediately filled a damage report on the CAS website.

We went through a huge process where CAS sent us to the manufacturer (Frigidaire) who contracted another company (Trans Global) to replace the door as they refused to replace the whole dishwasher. It took 3 weeks to have a technician come out, which we thought was to repair the dishwasher, but no they sent two men to take pictures and write a report. It then took a further 4 weeks for the replacement door to come in and schedule the “repair”.

After this “repair” where the technician left the old damaged dishwasher door and accompanying boxes in our kitchen. The technician refused to anchor the dishwasher to our counter and told use we had to hire someone else to install the dishwasher at our own expense as he is only contracted to fix the door. So we could not use the dishwasher until we paid for the second time to have the dishwasher installed. When we did we found the dishwasher still didn’t work. There was power but no cycles would start. When adding in the time it took for us to find people to do installation as well as all this back and forth we have been without a working dishwasher for over 4 months now.

I called CAS to try and ask for a replacement (not even a refund) but CAS try to send me again to the manufacturer. Sorry CAS I paid you the money, you should provide me with a working appliance then recover your own costs from the manufacturer. Stop trying to pass the buck to someone else!

Not really sure what to do at this point.

I was informed about delays in delivery from the very beginning, which I completely understand. I asked the rep, N. Liang what was in stock, he showed me a fridge and dishwasher I could receive within 5 business days. I placed the order on July 10th, and to my surprise, it too was backordered.

It was ready for delivery on September 7th, but upon delivery, the crew cut my stair railings with an electric saw to bring the fridge upstairs. After the delivery, the lights to the fridge and the bottom freezer was not, and still is not operating. I called CAS half an hour after the delivery to begin the process for a return/exchange, which was approved; I have been waiting for the replacement ever since. 3 delivery attempts have been made (September 27th, October 4th, November 30th), each time they arrive, I was told it is a four person job. The very last delivery attempt, the fridge came damaged.

I'm doing my best to be patient, especially given the fact that everything seems to be back ordered (not to the fault of anyone person), but my January delivery date has now been pushed to February 18th, I still don't have a fridge that is operational, and I have damaged railings and dented cabinets as a result of the very first delivery crew back in September. I was sent an email to open a claim for the damages, I have yet to hear anything back.

Not everything is meant to be purchased online, my mistake was not going to the big retailers. I'm sure this won't be everyones experience, however, in the event things do go wrong, you'll want to give your business over to people who won't overcomplicate things or trivialize your frustrations over the phone. I have yet to hear back from anyone, wait times can be long, and I've already been told compensation for all this madness is not possible.

The compensation refund CAS is referring to in their reply to my review was not compensation. They originally demanded I pay to have the fridge delivered after their second attempt. The delivery guys drove off once they found out the kitchen was on the second floor. I called CAS to find out why they drove off without an explanation and I was told it was because it was a four person job. The rep demanded I pay in order to reschedule another booking. A supervisor reversed the charge as I complained it wasn’t fair. I was never compensated.

I did attempt to select another model in stock, however I was told the following day that it was a mistake and that it too was not in stock. Also notice CAS failed to address my damages claim in their response to my review.

The sales people in the store were very courteous and responsive to my specific needs in regards to the appliances. I purchased four appliances which were delivered today. The delivery men were also very courteous and respectful of my house and the merchandise. I recommend shopping at Canadian Appliance Source in Whitby.

Lovely staff at the store. We visited the Whitby location. Helped us buy a freezer when inventory is low across all stores. We were able to find a freezer in stock and had delivery within 3 days of purchase.
We were contacted the night before to arrange a 3 hour delivery window. However, on day of delivery, they arrived more than an hour prior to the window. Luckily we were home, but something to consider with the delivery process.
The people who delivered the freezer were very nice and professional. They took the freezer to the basement and removed all packaging.

So our experience with the Whitby store was abhorrent! My wife's uncle Dan Webber ordered a washing machine over the phone model # LG WM3600HWA 27 inch on Nov 26 2021. Fast forward to today Dec 04,2021 Dan called in the am and spoke with Vishal inquiring when the washing machine would be ready for pickup as he was never given a pickup date. Vishal said to Dan that he could pick up the washer today Dec 04,2021. After confirming with Vishal several times Dan called me to pick up the machine. So he began his long trip from Belleville Ontario (approx. 1.5 hours each way) to meet me and pick up his washing machine. Upon our arrival to the store, we were instructed to go to the back shipping doors to pick the washer up. Once we were inside we were told that the washer was not there and in wouldn't be in the Whitby store until late next week. I then said to the sole shipping person that Dan drove all the way from Belleville to pick up his washer and it was obvious that he didn't care at all. I asked him who the owner/president is and he replied "I have no idea. " Dans wife has suffered a massive stroke and has been hospitalized and still in care with dan doing everything he can to look after his wife. This service is disgusting and disgraceful from a company that operates in our small community. I hope the executives reading this will do something to make this right.

Absolutely terrible service. We waited a year and a half for a fridge and freezer to be delivered and they ordered and sent us the wrong trim kit. After talking to someone I was told I had to fill out a form and wait 2 business days to get a response. Through an online chat I was finally able to find out what we need is in Burlington. Willing to drive this I was told that without waiting for a response we could buy what we need and "probably" get a refund. All I want is my fridge to be installed and usable. With 2 young kids and another basic lockdown, this should be a priority. Just exchange the wrong piece you sent us for what we need. Now. Apparently that is too much to ask. Customer care is a joke. They are no help and can't do anything. From start to finish this experience has been terrible and I don't even know how long until this is rectified.

This has been a disappointing experience. We contacted CAS on line in mid November and over the course of a few days with the on-line sales rep we landed on a washer dryer pair at a price we are very happy with.
The delivery date was estimated to be the first week of December but is now unconfirmed and moved to February -possibly. We understand the global supply chain issues, but were assured delivery was secure.

We are in a new home with no washer dryer so February does not work for us and we decided to cancel the order. This is where the frustration really sets in.

When called to cancel we were advised that only the sales rep can cancel the order and she is off until Wednesday. We found that orders are managed centrally through a call centre and the CSR's you reach only redispatch the calls.

CAS has great selection and price. The after care and order management is the exact opposite - arms length hands off. Very disappointed.

Good service. We had to take my front door off to get appliances in. Would have been nice if delivery guys helped me put door back on and maybe help clean up the water that trailed put of the old fridge as it went down the hall to the exit door. I know they had other deliveries to make by really? Would have taken them 5 minutes.

I ordered my appliances back in August of 2021. The sales rep was pleasant to deal with knocked off money on the purchase price of the appliances so he could get the deal done that day. Canadian Appliance Source accidentally tried to ship my appliances a month early in November instead of December, not a big deal they called and I said nope sorry come back in a month on the delivery date we had discussed.
5 Days before the delivery date i get an email saying my stove is now back ordered, which is weird as I know they have it in stock and they had just tried to deliver it. They told me my stove may be in for march of 2022. Canadian Appliance Source gave away my stove and gave me a lower quality stove in replacement. When i called to ask where my Stove was that i had purchased in August, They had no answer and tried to blame me for not taking it on the first chance.
Canadian Appliance Source has horrible customer service and will do and say anything to get the sale. Once the sale is complete they will give away your appliances and make you wait months for new ones.

The communication and professionalism with the sales associates was excellent. He followed up on my inquiry and wanted to make sure I had all the information needed. He offered to assist in any way to make sure I was satisfied. Although I have not received my appliances yet, I would still encourage anyone needing appliances to visit CAS in Whitby and request to work with Deshane, I would greatly recommend it.

We found the store layout was easy to navigate through, with lots of selection. The staff were friendly, without being pushy and hovering around us. Our salesperson, Dave Thomas, seemed to detect just when we were in need of assistance and confidently answered all our questions and gave us valuable information we were not aware of. We wanted a model on display, but in white. Dave quickly checked his inventory and informed us that the refrigerator was available in white and that it was in-stock. We were very pleased with that, because many of the stores we previously visited, had little in-stock and wouldn't be able to deliver the fridge for months. We received our new fridge in less then two weeks. The deliver people were prompt and polite and very careful installing our fridge. Dave called us during the process, upon receiving the shipment and again once it was installed. He made our purchasing experience a happy and easy one. We will recommend CAS to our friends and will revisit Dave Thomas and your store when we are in need of our next appliance purchase.

We were in the market for a fridge, stove, dishwasher and microwave. The in store sales staff was knowledgeable and able to answer every single question we had. He really made our decisions easy.

We really appreciated the online features available:
- The ability to check our order status online gave us peace of mind. We had heard so many stories about people not being able to get a fridge or stove during the pandemic. We have no such story. A week before delivery I could see that our appliances were all in stock.
- I received an email prior to the delivery date giving me a delivery window. On the day of delivery I was able to check the driver's progress and get a more specific ETA. I also received a text 15 minutes prior to delivery and a call from the driver. This sure beats sitting home all day and waiting.

We would definitely recommend Canadian Appliance Source!

Worst experience buying appliances of my entire life and I am a senior citizen so have bought a number of them. Delivery company they use is unable to remove a built-in fridge with two strapping young men so I got a senior man with a screwdriver and a dolly to do it. Contracted to have it delivered on the Thursday before Thanksgiving, it didn't come so I called. Call was escalated. Delivery had been confirmed but apparently the fridge was too tall for the truck, something the appliance store was well aware of several days prior to delivery. I requested four men for the install since the refusal of the delivery guys to take out the old fridge the week prior was because they said four men were needed.or an old guy with the dolly. No one called to tell me about the new, post-Thanksgiving delivery date so; apparently, I was supposed to have figured it out on my own. My salesperson told me they would make it right tomorrow or the day after, also not true. Customer Care told me to make my own arrangement to have it picked up at the warehouse, which is a significant distance away from my home, if I wanted it any earlier. I was charged and paid for the fridge, for the removal of the old one, for the install of the new one before I had even hung up the phone for the original order, yet it seems to be quite an ordeal for the fridge to actually appear. CAS completely abdicated their responsibility to fulfill the contract, in my opinion, foisting off onto the customer. Customer Care, delivery team, and sales people were completely useless. Still waiting for the 'escalated issue' return call.not holding my breath.

One of the worst customer service experiences we have had. Placed an order a week ago. We were called in twice to the store “mistakenly” to come pick up the order. First time order was in transit. Second time they called the wrong customer. To lake things worst, Aaron was extremely rude and unapologetic about the mistake. He didn’t seem to care about what had happened at all. Extremely poor customer service.

We had to replace our washing machine and looked online and found a few we liked at CAS. We went in to check them out and our sales rep Deshane was awesome! Listened to our requirements and showed us a few that worked for us. I didn't feel pressured and he wasn't showing us appliances out of our price budget either which is HUGE as a new family new homeowners we wanted to make the best choice for us and for something that didn't break the bank. Purchase was easy breezy and LOVED their extended warranty options. So much better than a lot of them out there. We actually had a small buyer's remorse the next day because we were reading reviews and it wasn't highly rated so called Deshane and he completely understood and helped us pick out a better one with a 85% rating with no complications. Our washing machine got delivered today and that process was smooth and easy as well. I ended up calling back a few days later and got my mother in law a new fridge as hers was on the outs and Deshane also made that very easy and didn't have to inconvenience my 70 year old MIL to come there and go through everything he was able to get everything done for her within 30 mins. We will ONLY be buying our appliances through CAS now and whoever is Deshanes manager is they should give him a raise because he was wonderful to deal with.

Updated review on Octob12th: we got our temporary fridge, washer, dryer and oven delivered today. Fantastic service, to say the least. I was given a time frame for delivery, I got text message and a call to let me know delivery guys were 10 mins away. Once they arrived, they were very professional and got the appliances in place in no time. I had opted for hook up services for the washer and dryer and it was done perfectly. My sales contact Dave Thomas and the customer care ensured that the items that were ready to ship were delivered promptly. We still have another fridge, cooktop and dishwasher to be delivered, but they are back ordered with no ETA due to supply chain issues. Normally I would be anxious about them but Dave ensured that he explained how the ordering process works and that has put me at ease while we wait. I'd have loved to get all ordered appliances together, but these things are outside of anyone's control. Overall i'm very satisfied with my experience of dealing with CAS in whitby. I would highly recommend Dave if anyone is looking to buy from CAS. Please go in with reasonable expectations and you will not be disappointed.

My wife and I dropped by CAS whitby outlet looking to buy a whole bunch of appliances for our new house and we were promptly greeted by Dave Thomas. I had done my research and knew what models we wanted so Dave quickly got down to working on it for us and trying to get us a deal that we would be happy with. Throughout the process he was extremely professional and thorough in his explanation. Some models are back ordered due to Covid related issues but Dave was upfront and clear about what expectations we should have in terms of Delivery dates. I would have loved to get everything delivered together but I understand the issues and dependency on manufacturer and supply chains and that these issues are beyond Dave's or CAS' control. We still appreciate Dave 's patience and professionalism in explaining things. Needless to say, we got a deal that we were happy with and thanks to Dave for making it work! I will reserve my feedback about Delivery experience till after Delivery happens but we are very happy with our buying experience, again thanks to Dave!

Bought a new fridge. Received delivery. Did a cursory check all appeared in order. While taking off the plastic noticed a substantial dent. Called their service number right away was told to fill out a form online. Filled out their form. Received an email response the next day saying my claim had been reviewed and there was nothing they could do. Irony i saw the delivery guy taking a picture of the fridge. I thought it was just for confirmation of delivery but the angle would have captured the debt perfectly as i used the same angle/ location to do my picture. First and last purchase from them.

After posting this i was contacted and referred to a repair service. Seems my problem became important. The door is on order and they will contact me it's in. Was strange their response was a specialist in repair was necessary to install the new door when the delivery guy took it off and put it back on the first time. Will update when the repair is complete.

Ordered a brand new fridge within the hr the fridge started making loud rattling noise which is on off all day and night, called CAS right away about it and filed a complaint to have it replaced but have to wait for technician to come see it and get it fixed it’s understandable if it’s 2 yr to 3 urs old? The fridge isn’t even 1 hour old seems like the fridge is refurbished and still waiting on the technician to come see it and appointments been rescheduled 3 times already not happy about it.

Good service, but suggest that delivery time should max 2 hours window.

3 hours is long and further it got extended for another half an hour, but the delivery team was very cautious in taking the appliance and making sure that there is no damage and did not rush.

I shopped around, prices on 3 washing machines were less than other stores. The sales person i worked with (Dave Thomas) was very knowledgeable about features on different makes and modals of the manufactures i inquired about. Delivery was great, they called me 10 minutes before showing up, they were very fast to get it installed and removed the old washer. I thought for sure they would have hit a wall with the limited space they were working with, but at no point did the washer make contact with the walls.

THERE IS NO CUSTOMER CARE WITH THIS COMPANY!
Very disappointing experience with delivery. Delivery was schedule from 130pm-530pm. It ended up coming at 630pm. When I called to inquire about this the supposed "customer care"associate rudely told me they had truck issues and deliveries were delayed. No call, no notification nothing! Just the delivery tracking that kept changing by the minute. I could not visit my sick father in the hospital because of this delay. She refused to credit anything back to me. Instead she lied and said she would escalate the issue to a manager who will contact me. NO ONE HAS BOTHERED TO CONTACT ME!
Then Fridge wouldn't fit through my front door and I was told to remove the front door. Unfortunately I did not have anyone at home who could do so so they left the fridge it my garage and said once I get someone to take the door off to call back and they will come back. Well of course when I called to arrange for them to come back, they very rudely proceeded to tell me that I have to pay another $111 for delivery even though the fridge is sitting in my garage.
This is unbelievable! The delivery side of this company knows nothing about customer service. I do not recommend! Worst experience ever!

I would give 0 stars if I could. Just bad bad bad customer service and communication. Ordered part was supposed to arrive a week later, it didn’t arrive - no communication at all. We went to the store the day it was supposed to come, where we were told it is delayed and will arrive 2 days later. On that next day, we tried calling the sales rep, the store, and the customer service line at least 10 times to confirm if we can come pick it up, left voicemail and no response. Finally the sales rep, Aaron, answers at 4pm, and tells us the part isn’t here and he got a call from his warehouse at 10am that it won’t arrive for a month. Did not have the courtesy to call and inform. Decided to refund.

Then turns out my mom also got a call from the store at 1030am same day to let her know the item we ordered was in stock and ready for pick up. She ended up going to the store and then she was told she got called by mistake and that the appliance is actually not there. Spoke to Aaron again, he was totally rude, unapologetic and did not care whatsoever. My mom went to the store twice, as per the store’s instructions only to never receive the item.

This store is extremely unorganized, the staff is very rude, no one answers their phone or calls back if you leave a voicemail. Horrible customer experience, 3 times for the same transaction.

AVOID THIS STORE AT ALL COSTS!

Account executive was good to talk, ask questions and get answers. Delivery set up was quick. I also like the way you could track when they would be arriving, so your whole day wasn’t tied up.
The delivery guys were great. Very efficient, I was hooked up ready to go, in no time at all, and all was left clean and tidy as they hauled the old appliances away. Good job by all.
