You get good service for your cars, especially your tires at this particular location. Good job, however, please try to reduce the time customers spend waiting for their vehicles.
09 November 2023 18:52
Another brutal location where most essential items that used to be freely purchasable in the aisles are now under a lock and key or behind a service desk… Which you can’t purchase because the lineups are so obscenely long because of the severe lack of staff.giant checkout lines and only two registers open
30 October 2023 1:02
Great establishment with great staff. Very clean and organized. Great product placement. Love that discount rack with super low prices.
14 August 2023 18:06
Too many staff visiting with each other and not interested in helping customers.
Stock was limited in many isles.
16 January 2022 7:27
Too many products with price tags. It was impossible to select equipment and extremely annoying to try and hunt down an associate for price checks when an entire department of products had no prices listed.
15 January 2022 1:41
This has got to be one of the worst Canadian Tire service centres. I pre-purchased my tires in store two weeks ago and today, on the day of my installation appointment, after taking my car into the garage, they tell me they can’t track down my 4 tires. Mindblowing.
04 January 2022 21:02
Just your average Canadian Tire store. The thing that was good about it today was the cash was moving along really fast. Thank you Canadian Tire don't like to wait I have no pay for things.
02 January 2022 6:25
The institution that has been around for years Canadian Tire always delivers with the things you need for the holidays and long lines at the checkout better than most years but still a 5-minute wait.
31 December 2021 12:07
Excellent staff. Super kind and helpful, and they respect the exemptions in the by-law 541-2020. Hooray to the owner of this place and his wonderful crew! You guys rock!
21 December 2021 15:54
Theres never the same employees at the registers. Can't get too attached to the good ones, the next day they're gone and replaced with someone new. So many of my fave cashiers are gone now, while a few of the less-favorable ones are still around. How is that possible?

The hot dog guy is pretty much the only thing I like other than the discount section. It's the best one in the area by far.
14 December 2021 14:58
I usually never feel the need to leave reviews after exiting a business, however, after my experience here, I feel obliged too.

The product I bought from this location was just lousy. It said online it would cut through branches easily, but I had to spend 30 minutes using it to cut one branch. It was obviously defective.

When I came to the store, I was told I could not return the item because it was used. The worker 'RANI' made a big fuss. On top of it, when I told her I would not be shopping her anymore she had the audacity to say 'even better for us'. What kind of training are these employees getting? Seriously? Maybe, if she would have been nicer, I would considered giving Canadian Tire another shot.
14 December 2021 2:26
Same as any other except aisles were loaded with stuff that may make difficult for shoppfor octogenarian like us.
13 December 2021 0:56
So i came here for stuff& also dealt with the store manager. Helped me out with engine oil & headlight bulbs. So, that was nice of him. CT like any retailer need customer service oriented staff to help people with product inquiries, assist with inside store aisles or a hello to ease busy people. I got a bit of everything. Its nice that pets can also come along. Instant walk but indoors:)
12 December 2021 19:14
On Friday, I had a wonderful experience at this location. I was greeted by wonderful cashiers who made sure I could find exactly what I needed, clearly understood what I was saying, and treated me with respect. I didn't get their names, but they wore scarves and were very polite. Love to see the managers are doing a phenomenal job at hiring!
24 November 2021 12:51
Appoitments means nothing here.
Just to change winter tires 4 hours, and they told me it would take about 1h. If i colud give them half star i would.
Three weeks ago i did appoitment for service and i took them 4 h.
22 November 2021 9:26
Had what I wanted. Looked on their web site first and it was in the isle where they said it was.
19 November 2021 13:04
How Melissa is employed here is beyond me. She presented a very distasteful attitude from the beginning of our interaction and was very unprofessional. When I spoke to her manager about it, her manager acted like this was normal of Melissa to do. This absolutely shocked me. I used to love this store because they were always equipped with such great staff. What is going on now.
18 November 2021 0:35
Had a good experience with a salesperson that helped with some locked up items. Wait time was very short.
16 November 2021 0:31
The worse experience here ever!
It's been a long day as mentioned, I requested for a price match and to refund to repurchase onto my triangle card, but the customer rep Zloara says she can't do this unless I brought the items in, which I said I was willing to. Then she changes the idea that I must drive back to the store (s) where I purchased the items from? She then calls over the manager Jackie, to also say the same thing and mentioned that other Canadian tire stores are not supposed to price match and also are not suppose to refund and repurchase as well? I've spent $10s of thousands in Canadian tire stores across Canada yearly to keep these people in their positions to get a rude brush. How awful. Let's face it, they should resign.
04 November 2021 17:44
Horrible experience and customer service.

Left car at 9am to change engine oil, flush break fluid, check spark plugs and diagnose idle low rpms.

Waited 4.5 hrs to get the car back. The car stood outside for an hour before I got keys.

Asked what was happening and was told that there are MULTIPLE repairs that are needed and that they are TRYING to prepare a detailed estimate.

When I finally got the car, only oil was changed and they run diagnostics. Said ebgine light is not on anymore, and it was NEVER on. Did not check spark plugs, did not flush break fluid.

The estimate was for only ONE part, that only may be a reason, after 4.5 hours. Could not answer the questions regarding the previous service at same location.

HORRIBLE.

I love this Canadian Tire Store. It's always clean. The staff are friendly and helpful. The store is well organized and stocked. Store is following Covid protocol for the safety of staff and customers. Store has washrooms.
06 October 2021 7:03
Clean, and helpful staff, but the app is very frustrating, not telling you where to look and giving wrong stock levels.
04 October 2021 6:24
The store is quiet, clean and well laid out. The staff are attentive and will help you as much as they can. They also have a well-organized process for curbside pickups. Staff have been kind and product availability has been great.
30 September 2021 17:13
We always go to this location, usually never had any problem but MELISSA at the return desk this morning had such angry and offensive look in her eyes just because my husband and 4 year old did not hear her call to come up. I was quite offended standing in line behind them. We all wearing masks indoor, please try to be understanding if someone can't hear you as well as before.
27 September 2021 15:42
This place always has the best plants, I swear. I removed a star because if you arent buying anything and you want to leave, you have to sneak though the checkout or duck out the entrance, which is always awkward
25 September 2021 16:48
I went to their queensway location where I usually make all my purchases. Asmina was excellent at resolving a concern I had, and reassured me that Canadian tire was here to ensure each an exceptional customer experience.
16 September 2021 17:23
A couple of weeks ago I bought my first bonsai tree (the one on the right) from this Canadian tire location. The tree looked a bit dry to begin with but because it was my first time buying one I didn’t really know. When I was checking out the cashier looked a bit nervous looking at the tree and seeing that I asked her that is the product that I was buying in good condition, she answered yes. I bought the tree for $35 thinking if I just watered the plant and gave it enough sunshine it would revive. Now I understand I was given a bad product to begin with and now thinking back the cashiers reaction should’ve rung alarm bells but as I said I just didn’t know. I feel it’s the responsibility of the store to inform customers if a product has plant has gone bad just like they do with other expired products. I have misplaced my receipt but my CC bill shows the purchase. I’m willing to modify my rating if the store accepts a refund for the product. I hope someone from the store gets back to me if not it’s just bad customer service.
Ps: the tree on the left is what a good one is supposed to look like, this one I bought a week ago from a farmers market.
13 September 2021 15:02
Imagine a Canadian tire that won't assemble bikes. I don't know who the store manager is but this location is run like garbage. Staff don't care department managers couldn't be more rude when actually having to do their jobs. Just a toxic environment all around. And still no bikes.
26 August 2021 14:32
Imagine working there and getting fired and when you ask your manager why she doesn’t give you a reason. Get you a new manager that knows how to do their job right and who knows how to respect their employees. So unprofessional.
14 April 2021 10:54
Unfair return policy. Bought a soldering iron that was broken out of box and they did not want to help
07 April 2021 2:50
Placed an order online for curbside pickup, never got a call or email that it was ready. Sale is over and I don't have my product. Is it really that difficult to co-ordinate an email to your customers?
06 April 2021 12:59
I want to add that (I can only speak for this location as it's the one I have visited) they've adapted well to make the curbside pick up seamless, easy and efficient. Placed my order and a about an hour or so later I received notification it was ready for pick up. Made my way there and the instructions to check in were very easy to follow. From the moment I arrived to the moment I got my order and left was about the time I would of spent in the store had I been able to go in. Great job on adapting to a situation that I'm sure hasn't been easy.
31 March 2021 3:01
Recent shop charges made me almost puke, on how you charge smoke test without doing it, proof of after just a day, after they "fixed" it, P0455 appeared again.
28 March 2021 3:31
Staff is nice enough but EVERY SINGLE order I've put in for curbside pickup has been wrong. Always check your package in the parking lot.
22 February 2019 5:47
I went to fix something under warranty and when I asked if there is any cost they told me you will not pay anything and when everything done they asked me to pay 25$ I thought Canadian tire is far from these ways to get money from customer but sorry to say it doesn’t look
13 February 2019 4:45
Love that its pet freindly and staff showed love for my dog. Great feeling knowing i can bring my dog when shopping instead of leaving in cold/hot car. Also great cashier set up. Quick and friendly even with massive line up no stresses at all.
01 February 2019 18:52
Tried to change the engine oil,
They said it's gonna takes about 2hrs,
But surprisingly, when I have back after 3hrs, they said my car is in the line and will be ready by 4 hrs!
What a customer service they have!
31 January 2019 19:40
An employee was climbing the shelves to retrieve things for customers from the top, seemed pretty unsafe for the employee and bystanders below. The Christmas section was crammed and piled with boxes all throughout the aisles. They maybe need more staff to better handle the inventory and help customers.
29 January 2019 12:30
I have never seen such a huge line at the cashier move so fast plus the worker got my my 1 litre of TRUFUEL from the back in less than 2 minutes.
Canadian tire you have really improved at the Queensway
location.

This review is for the mechanic department. I had my car (2008 Audi A3) towed here after it wouldn't start up. After completing tests on my car, I was told that it would need a new engine and that I might as well scrap it. After selling it to a neighbour for only $750, he took it to his own mechanic and was able to completely fix it for only a couple thousand dollars. It never needed a new engine like Canadian Tire said. I'm so upset with the Canadian tire service and I regret not taking it somewhere else for a second opinion. I could've saved thousand of dollars that I ended up having to spend on a new car.
19 January 2019 5:52
All the time car service are short of staff look at the picture and see the big line at 8.45 morning
also customer service desk are not that friendly
most of the time when i buy tools i go to home depot they have better customer service
14 January 2019 17:29
Decent service overall. This location is always busy and waiting times are long. Waiting area is OK with a TV on CP24 (it would be better to be on an actual channels because CP24 repeats over and over again, especially bad in a waiting area). Customers seem to be of the cranky sort, impatient, and must be problematic due to the numerous signs posted stating any type of rudeness or verbal abuse will not be tolerated. I behaved myself that day.
11 January 2019 1:11
This review is for their car repair section. I took my car to change the battery without any other issues. They have absolutely no idea on how to communicate with customers. Their “manager” was so rude to all the customers. It took 4 times longer than what they told me to change the battery and after they were done, all lights were blinking. Check engine light, handbrake light. Instead of admitting their fault and apologizing, they said it was like this before.

Finally I took my car to a REAL mechanic and they figured out that the Canadian tire guys damaged a cable that goes to the alternator while changing the battery. This was by far the most expensive battery change in my life and the worst customer service. What really pissed me off was that their manager blamed me and said the car was “probably” like that when I took it to them. My car NEVER EVER gave any errors until I parked it and gave them the keys!
02 January 2019 8:11
Good Ol' original Canadian store feel all around. Xmass is my favorite time to shop here, loooove their selection of decorations, trees and such, could stay here and shop or window shop all day long
02 January 2019 3:31
Horrible customer service. They do not answer the phone, and offer a text messaging service which they also do not reply. Only two people are working for the winter tire season.
29 December 2018 11:39
It's gotten better since Target left Canada, but still has some room to grow service-wise and stock-wise but I still rather stop here first before going down the lot or across the highway to home depot or walmart
28 December 2018 23:27
Visisted this location for the first time. Loved how organized it is. The variety is good too and the staff is helpful. Taking off one star as I couldn't find what I was looking for.
28 December 2018 16:52
Specifically the parts and services area: They don't answer the phone, the line is long since they don't have enough staff, and the work they do is shoddy at best.
20 December 2018 2:28
Visited this busy store, pre-Black Friday. The aisle shelf was empty for the sale item I was looking for. But a nearby store associate was very helpful in checking the store inventory and waving down another associate to pull the item from the warehouse. He even helped me load it into my car! Good deals, great service. Thank you, CT!
15 December 2018 15:17
Black Friday weekend and this store was READY! Lots of helpful, HAPPY staff to help you find everything you're looking for. Well monitored checkout line up to keep things moving. Well done, Canadian Tire!
30 November 2018 21:12
I don't think the employees in the automotive section know what they're doing. They sold my friend the wrong brake pads twice. She doesn't know much about cars but she did know how to change her brakes and brake pads when needed. When my husband (a licensed mechanic) went in with her the third time, they tried doing the same thing. He asked why they kept selling her the wrong brake pads for her Honda civic and the guy at the counter shrugged it off and magically gave her the right one this time.it would have been funny except the fact she was taking the bus back and forth trying to get the right part while her car was in parts at home.

Don’t expect your tires to be properly balanced.

I purchased a set of winter tires and rims. Once I returned to the store I noticed the boat sized anchors for weights on 3 of 4 tires with the last one being a proper size. I mentioned this to the “shop manager” and he stated that the tires are large hence the large weights, 205 65R16 are not large tires.

I brought the tires to an independently owned and operated mechanic shop who then proceeded to properly balance the tires. The tires were massively unbalanced and with the weights removed they were almost correctly balanced. He removed the “anchors” and placed weights a fraction of the size which fell in line with the 4th tire.

If the tires had been installed on a vehicle the vibration would have been instantly noticeable. If a person didn’t know better they then would have gone back to Canadian Tire complaining about vibrations and possible handling issues which could possibly result in “diagnosing fees”. If left untreated the tires would have worn unevenly resulting in a premature tire wear.
