Had a car emergency this morning on my way to work. I called the shop and was told to bring the car in and they would help me. I was help by Manish and Sharon. I am so grateful for the the easy and quick help. Could not recommend them more. Thank you for saving my day.

Wouldn’t recommend, rude front desk people. Our car had the same issue last saturday and after 6 days same issue. They had the wrong diagnosis and we had to pay for the hefty price they charge due to their negligence. The auto service guy named Josh was awful and rude. Avoid them as much as you can.

I bought a lug wrench at this Canadian Tire location today for swapping my snow tires, but the wrench didn't fit, so I went back to store to return the wrench.the lady (looks like age between 40-50s) at the Customer Services told me that because I used the wrench so they don't accept return, I can only replace it.the price tag is still on the wrench, I only tried a couple times to try to loose the lug nut of my car but didn't work, and I bought and returned tools at Canadian Tire before. I told her the reason but she said i can't return, since I was going to buy another tool, so I said fine I will buy another tool.that ended with I purchased another tool.
But customer can't return a tool that does not work is really the first time I encountered.this store really sucks! So bad I can't give zero star!

Canadian Tire North London is a great location. Really well stocked and organized, a knowledgeable greeter at the front door who seems to know where every single thing in the store would be located, lots of staff accessible on floor 95% of the time. Really reasonable with returns, exchanges, sales, etc.

Generally speaking, automotive repair department (separated from main store) is typically very knowledgeable and quick to answer questions as they arise.

*Update* Contacted them, as requested, and the excuse I received was “Each location sets their own policies, and it’s out of our control. I can email the manager”. So the person who set this ridiculous policy is the one that’s going to contact me? I bet nothing changes, I’d even be surprised to actually get a positive resolution. Train your retail employees properly and theft will be a small issue. Zoning, contacting, tasking in the same isle as customers. Pretty simple and it works! POC beware this location.

A “No-bag” policy does not deter theft. Especially if you don’t count purses as bags. I was asked to lock up my bag, while in view was a woman with a large purse walking out. Who’s to say she wasn’t stealing. Sales associates don’t zone or contact customers. Two easy theft deterrents that can be applied by every sales associate.
I was coming to buy cleaning supplies for my new place, quite a large transaction. Instead of shopping at Canadian Tire, I purchased all of my products down the way at Walmart. And get this, they didn’t try to take my bag. Shop smart, shop S-Mart! Anywhere but Canadian Tire

I recently had a highly disappointing experience at the Canadian Tire store located at 1875 Hyde Park Rd. I feel compelled to share my encounter to warn other potential customers about the misleading information and unhelpful service I received.

My wife purchased a chair marked as a final sale item, with the reason for clearance indicated as "assembled" on the sticker attached to the chair. However, upon bringing the chair home, we discovered that the actual reason for it being a final sale item was a missing part. No one at the store had mentioned this crucial detail during the purchase, and the sticker's misleading information effectively concealed the chair's true condition.

When I approached the store manager to seek a resolution, I was met with an unhelpful and dismissive attitude. Instead of acknowledging the misleading information and addressing the missing part issue, the manager repeatedly emphasized the non-refundable nature of final sale items. Furthermore, she unfairly blamed my wife for not explicitly asking for the reason behind the final sale, disregarding the store's responsibility to provide accurate information.

This incident has shattered our trust in Canadian Tire's commitment to customer service and transparency. We expected better from a reputable retailer. The lack of accountability and unprofessional behaviour displayed by the manager is unacceptable.

I strongly urge Canadian Tire to rectify this situation promptly. A genuine apology from the manager, along with a resolution regarding the missing part of the chair, either through a replacement or a full refund, is necessary. It is crucial for the store to provide accurate information and support customers when faced with such incidents, rather than shifting blame and refusing responsibility.

Based on this disappointing experience, I cannot recommend Canadian Tire to others. Customers deserve honest and reliable service, and this incident has shown a significant lapse in these areas.

I hope that Canadian Tire takes this feedback seriously and works towards improving their customer service and transparency. Until then, I cannot endorse or trust this establishment with future purchases.

Very angry how we were treadet at the Automotive Department for setting up an appointment. Called Thursday afternoon and was constantly put on hold and after she took my name and phone number down never got called back.
So calling back on Friday to make an appointment and talking to the same Lady (not very nice to me) been told that the walk ins get priority.
I have brought my car for years to Canadian Tire and so does my Daughter, the whole action and responses from this Lady were very unprofessional.
I am beyond words how angry I am. Is that how you treat your long time Customers?

Went to get air in the tires, pulled in and a mechanic walked up and said sure just get a work order. So we went to go get the work order, then Travis the service manager left to spend literally 10 minutes as he went around talking to each mechanic. No big deal right?

Well, after 10 minutes Travis returned, and asked us which mechanic told us that. He seriously spent 10 minutes trying to find who to scold and then wanted the customer to report his hard working employee?

I understand if they’re fully busy and cant do it, and thats all Travis needed to say. It would have saved everyone’s time rather than going on an inquisition.

Terrible customer service and treatment of employees. Travis should not be the manager of anything.

Edit: Canadian Tire Customer Service reached out promptly rectified the situation. It would have been nice to not have had to deal with this in the first place, but I appreciate the willingness on the part of the company to make things right. So, thank you.

Original post: Just dealt with Scott from the Hyde Park Canadian Tire in London. Instead of showing compassion and common curtesy he decided to waste my time during this busy season. Not what I would call the epitome of customer service. No one wants to hear about policy, particularly when your policies contradict one another. Thanks for nothing really.

Terrible customer service, Both of these instances was because of Scott (the person dealing with returns). I went once to return an item and he didn’t honour the return because it was already opened, how does that logic make sense? If I can’t open the product how would I know if I even like it or if it’s usable to me. I went to a different Canadian tire and they returned it fine. The second time I went to return an item he said he can’t find the receipt or product in their system (it was bought on their website) and made no effort to help. I have the receipt and will go to a different Canadian tire to return it. It’s disappointing they hire people like that.

Staff members are helpful and was able to guide along the floor to navigate to find the exact product that I was looking for. Welcome greetings staff at the gate was pleasant and told us about the store specials that are going on and how to maximize the benefits if you have triangle card.

I have spent a lot of money in this store. Last week, I walked in with a small nylon sack on my back containing my phone and wallet. (I had been out walking so, I didn’t have my purse) Less than 1 minute later, I was approached by the Greeter while in the Automotive section and advised my nylon sack would be inspected before I left the store! I asked why and was advised it was “Store Policy”.
How humiliating! Do they harass women with large purses now too?
I was NOT approached upon exiting the store and I can only assume it was because the items purchased were 4 times bigger than the nylon sack OR perhaps they could tell my nylon sack was still empty?
I called Head Office to complain and she was as shocked as I was.
I asked for a follow up call from the owner and never heard a word.

If I hadn’t been purchasing these items for a friend, I would have walked out.
In future I will take my business elsewhere and I suggest you do too!

Ok. The people in the store are good. I waited for 15 mins for curbside pickup.it kept saying you are #3 in the queue. When I finally went inside the store, there was no one for pick up.a cashier came to help me finally

Auto service is nothing but crooks! Pay them to fix breaks, 5 months later, they admit the breaks are faulty but won't they won't even honor quality of service! 1300$ turns into 1600$ real quick when dealing with Canadian tire! Do not go to Canadian tire for auto service!

I went to the store today as they had a flashlight on sale. I checked the internet which showed 3 lights in stock. When I got there the shelf was empty. An employee came over, scanned the tag and it still showed there was 3 in stock but he said they don’t have them. Left me wondering if this is a sales tactic to get people in the store to buy other stuff because they don’t have what was advertised. Pretty misleading when they know they don’t have product but tell you that they do.

This store is huge. A service rep was at the entrance asking if help was needed to locate items. They have a checkout for self serve and cashier's. Seasonal items are on the right as your enter the store. Unfortunately they didn't have the sale item I was looking for on the shelf.

Refused to honor a return on an item that was bought from a different Canadian tire. Terrible attitude toward problem solving with the customer service staff. Contacted the Canadian tire the item was purchased from and they were clueless as to why, and suggested to call corporate to force them to make the return. Didn't bother and just made the return at the original Canadian tire no problem. Highly recommend against buying from this store as the management is rude and careless.

Greeting lady is awesome and very helpful, knows exactly where everything is.

PS. Prices are super Inflated to compensate for the even more inflated discounts

I went Canadian tire to fix my car's weared back wheels. The thread was almost out and I had the tire warranty. They Checked the vehicle and told me your suspension system and rotar and break should be changed to solve the problems I agreed and paid 2650 dollars to do that.
I left repair centre and after 5 days a grinding voice was strated to hear from front break so I reached to the candaian tire they checked it and told me break and rotar dameged they fixed it and I left. After two weeks again started same problems then I went there, staff checked it and told me the break pad and rotar failed any way they fixed it and told me THEY APPLIED CHEAPER MATERIAL that's WHY its failed if failed again need to upgrade better one and need to pay for upgradation. I left the shop and one month after I noticed the same problems started again, this time tire was wearing out again
I went to canada tire staff checked the vehicle and told this is because the adjuster on the back wheels damaged this problem was still there when I went there first time. Its need to be fixed. They asked to pay 700 dollar for it. I felt Like a patient went to do his cardiac surgery in the hospital the Docter just done the liver surgery instead cardiac surgery. The patient still need to the cardiac surgery. I lost confidence in canadian tire. I believed it is Canada's best but its not. This my personal experience I can show all the documents I have.

I have waited 2 days to write this review to be fair about my words, I will be talking about the store and the automotive center objectively, the store itself is good has no problem people deal with you properly, my main issue is with the Automotive and car repair department. I went there to check on my headlight bulbs, and asked to have blue bulbs not the yellow ones, so they checked and found a bad socket, and replaced my bulbs, both of them. When I wanted to pay it was 206 $. So when I checked the receipt there were (new lights NOT blues lights) so when I asked the manager looked and said you know you can't have blue bulbs because u need to change something (I forgot what was it) so ended up paying for something I didn't want, at the same day the left headlight bulb stopped working, so next morning I made a call, the manager responded, and said you know what, you need to bring your car so we can check the whole electrical inside it (he didn't think about that the bulbs they installed one of them is bad) and then said if u wish u can leave ur car for a day or 2, then u can come back later we are fully booked (I called at 9 Am and the day before I got my appointment after half an hour so WoW), after this call I went to Mr. Lube and they changed it within 20 min for 35 $ and it is still working until the moment that is why I waited for 2 days.
I have dealt with other Canadian Tire branches and didn't face the same issues as this place, so my simple advice to anyone, don't go to this automotive center it is not a good idea.

I bought a Wahl hair trimmer during lock down and it was a curb side pick up. After 2 or 3 days I opened the box and found it broken. I called to the store and said the item is broken so I would like to return it. The lady who talked to me said I can't return it until the shop opens. So I bought another trimmer from walmart. 2 days back I went to return the item to Canadian tire hydepark, they said there is no return only exchange. I asked them why didn't you tell this when I called you. I told I already bought 1 from walmart. They said me the one who attended my call may didn't know that there is no return. I wonder is it my fault.
I talked to the manager in return section and he asked me to show the walmart bill of my purchase and then he can return the item. Never expected this kind of a response from that person and I feel insulted. I don't have the walmart bill with me as the purchase was a month ago. But I'll try to get a copy of that bill just to return the Canadian tire item because I don't want anything from them anymore.

I bought a bicycle from this place after 1 hour of riding it the same day the wheel fell off, I took it in for repair the next day and was told by customer service they'll contact you the next day. I waited 2 days and didn't receive a call so I ended up calling and asking what the situation with my bike is. I was told they haven't had a chance to look at it yet and they will contact me the next day. Same thing happened I didn't receive a call and ended up calling and they said the same thing. I got frustrated and asked for a full refund, they told me to go into customer service and I'll be able to get it. I went there and they told me I had to speak with the general manager his name is Ken. I called the next day spoke with him and clearly stated that I am looking to get a full refund for my bike after I told him the entire situation, he told me he has to look at the bike first and he'll give me a call back, after he called me back he told me my bike was fixed and it's ready to be picked up, I told him i was not lookimg to get my bike fixed this time i would like a full refund. He said there are no refunds it's under the repair warranty and that I would have to speak to a manager the next day. I said I am not speaking with anyone the next day I want it all resolved now. He kept saying there are no refunds while I was talking, so he barely gave me a chance to speak and he HUNG UP the call in my face. I am appauled by the terrible customer service I received from one of the biggest companies in the country and I would like this issue to be resolved by anyone who reads this.

Horrible experience: it was the 3rd time I was on this store. First since the 2021 pandemic restriction. I was teaching my kids to use the self checkout after buy a skate helmet and collar for our dogs. They were talking in our native language (portuguese) for a better understanding and to save time (there was a line of people on front of the store waiting its time to shop). After I paid the goods a old lady from staff come to me and asked to see the receipt and the bag content. I achiveid to mantain cold blood and just show the "very educated lady" what she wanted to see - mostly cause the skate helmet was shoped for my 11 years old son and we have been by a long time waiting by the curbside before we could be allowed to enter on this unprepared Canadian Tire. First time in my life I was accused of stealing things! It is not a good feeling. Total shame. Maybe the COSTUMER IS ALWAYS WRONG - New Canadian Tire moto! Never again!

I did as the customer service guy tells, I called for the number provided and they told me that someone will call me back in 2 business day! It was last monday! So, after 5 business day later, the situation is only getting worse. Truly unrespectful!

Greatest curbside pick up experience. They were quick to tell me my order was ready and the system they have outside for the curbside was so great. The two staff (teens) we spoke with were very polite and efficient. If I need to order curbside again I will absolutely go here instead of the one closest to my house.

Lines for things are very unclear. In store pickup line is mixed in with in-store checkout (different counters). Curbside pickup is mixed in with people getting in-store orders loaded into their cars so you can't tell if people are jumping the line or what is happening. It's a mess!

Only curbside, ignore what the lady tells you and go into the right lane even if she tells you the left. There is no one quarterbacking the operation and so they process the cars in the right lane 2: 1 over the left. You will sit in the left lane watching cars that showed up after you leave before you.

Place is packed, doesn't seem like they're using protocol for capacity. When I used the self checkout I was waiting for the lady to disinfect the surfaces before use but she was waving me to use it without cleaning it. Absolutely disgusting. Covid still exists, not sure why this is happening.

On May 1st I bought four sets of MotoMaster APX Tire online for my new car. They were on clearance for $92 each. I took them to my mechanic to put them on to find out two of the tires are defective. On the spot, I bought a different brand online and I called the auto service to tell them about the faulty tires. A week later went to a different location, they checked the tires and confirmed they were defective and gave me a report for that, and they installed the new tires and told me to return the defective tires to the branch that i bought them from.
I came to this store, spook to one of the managers who told me they can not refund but instead will give me a new set of tries from the same brand under a replacement warranty, so I agreed.he said he would order them and give me call when they are ready for pick up.i took the tires and walked out.
The manager calls the next day and said, you must purchase the warranty, which will cost you $40 per tire! Lol. Yes, that’s right $40 PER TIRE. I said OK because I did not know how much the warranty cost.

I did not feel good about paying extra money so I went online to find out the warranty cost wayyyyyy less.

I read the policy and understand it and appreciate that they are trying to solve my problem, but do NOT take advantage of the situation and charge me more than you should.waiting for pick up call and I WILL NOT PAY FOR WARRANTY.

We weren't able to order online and pay with our rewards, so we called the store and they took and processed the order for us. We were in the parking lot when we called and the entire procedure took about 15 minutes and that included the actual pickup. Thank you to the staff at the London Hyde Park location!

It was a surreal experience going to pick up my online purchase at Cdn Tire Curbside pickup. I never order online let alone curbside pick up. Felt uncomfortable and like I was in a horrible SciFi film. The staff at Cdn Tire were WONDERFUL! Welcoming and reassuring. Plus incredibly efficient. Thank you for working during this PANDEMIC and trying to normalize the experience with your friendly efficiency.

I'm impressed with their cursive pick up system! Ordering online was simple, and it was available for pick up the following day (despite that on the website it indicated 2-3 days). When we arrived, it was like a drive through, an employee came up to the car, scanned our email, and came back with the item. Very organized, well done!

Best experience I have had in any Canadian Tire in years.
The staff approached me and asked if they could provide assistance.
The store was covid safey ready for customers with supervision at the entrance and cash area well prepared.

Most staff were very polite and friendly. The store is large and well organized. Large variety of kitchen and yard equipment. Consists of a good sized sports equipment and general home items. However, I watched a girl today Feb 17 at around 2: 15pm almost hit an older gentleman when backing up her machine (she was sitting on) in the store. The man had to take a few steps back to not get hit. She didn't even acknowledge him and just drove off. Her behavior came across as obnoxious. This was near the blanket section in the store (where there is the school supplies). I would suggest looking into this. Thank you.

Came to get the chairs I was turned away for in exeter. Not only did I get them but was offered help loading into my car. And the cashier was able to answer some questions I had about canadian tire I have at home.

I was surprisingly happy with my experience at the Hyde Park Canadian Tire Auto department. I had to get my car safetied before selling it privately and I was worried that Canadian Tire would try to add in a bunch of unnecessary items to be repaired. That was not the case. They were honest and I was quite pleased. I have also had an oil change and some basic maintenance done here as well and was happy overall.

Your employees seem genuinely unwilling to help customers during this pandemic. I ordered winter tires and it took me 25 minutes on a -15 day to figure out where to go to pick them up this after speaking to 3 different employees who all gave me blank stares or shooed me away when I approached
When all I needed was a point in the right dirextion. How does the woman directing traffic outside the store not know where to go to pick up tires? Good lord. I don't like coming to canadian tire because of the rude associates and this just reaffirms my dislike.
