Bad service by the garage department, lack of empathy to customer’s unfortunate situation. Purchased a portable car jump start unit that is faulty, could not charge, yet refused to give refund back to card saying that battery sale was final. Later explained that it has to be plugged in to jump start car battery, implying that there is no battery in the unit, which is ridiculous. His claim contradicted his earlier statement saying battery sale is final, hence, he gave in for credit refund. Not sure if this is Canadian Tire service standard, my first visit and will be my last. Good thing they do not have presence in the States but that also meant I had to give their local store refund credit to my friend in Canada. I hope this is an exception.

My favourite Canadian tire as it is dog friendly. The staff always love my pup and everything is very neat and easy to find.

Purchased four winter tires here in March 2023. Finally had time to install this month and during this, my tire shop informed me that the tires I was provided was manufactured in 2020 and is already three years old at the time of purchase. Unfortunately I am unable to return as it has been months and I need to use it now.

Very disappointing to see Canadian Tire selling tires to customers that are already well into/close to the end of their life cycle.

Alot of the staff had changed.miss the familiar faces. Some of the younger folks aren't as helpful.that is taking ownership of trying to solve your issue.perhaps there aren't enough staff and they feel they have to many other things to get to.

Great service at the auto department. Gurnam patiently helped us over the weekend. I didn’t expect he would promptly solve all the documentation issues so efficiently! We highly appreciated this place!

One year ago, I gave this store 5 star due to Mark C's great job. Now I gave no star since I met an unprofessional, unfriendly, rude or hostile customer service.

I returned one pair of shoes there but a female customer support said no return since she believe I used it outside due to dirty in bottom. I said NO it might be caused by myself trying in dirty Garage floor. Then I suggested what if I go washroom to clean it, then she would find it is complete new, no worn sign at all. She said no need but she insisted she believe I used it outside. I said I didn't. Then I further suggested what if she asked expert in Canadian tire Shoe department for double check. She continued to refuse but insisted I did use it outside. And her attitude was extremely rude and unfriendly.

Later a guy involved and they decided to refund it. I complained I can not accept since they said I used it but I actually didn't wear and walk outside. Later on, I heard that guy whispered "stupid". He showed obvious impatience & rude as well. That is obviously he said it to me. Lastly they refused my request taking to supervisor.and said it is DONE, you got refund, GO HOME!

Now I recalled I actually tried at my vehicle floor when I firstly got it from store. That is why there seems a little salt/dirt sign. It is a common sense anybody would really clean it before return if they really used it and not stupid. I actually never think it is dirty since I never wear it and walk.

That is worst customer server EVER!

Update: The store manager called me and apologized. And he would offer some credit but he insisted I have to show up in store as he preferred time.

It is a wired feeling as low class, if drive there to take that little credit, since it looks like a conditional apology. No interest to waste my effort anymore. No know if those two proud young guys would change their behaviours or not.

Never visited this store since ever. Hard to come in again if no one in store respect customer there.

Love this Canadian Tire! I have been here a few times already and the staff is always super nice, friendly and helpful! Nice variety of products! Definitely recommend!

This location has inventory issues. I've wasted my time coming here twice in the past couple of weeks to grab items that were listed as "in stock" on the website only to be told it's not when trying to find them in store.

Just a store nothing spacial about this location. It has a food truck/vender in front but I have never seen it open.

I was very impressed with this store. Very clean, organized and all my items in stock. The staff including Bob (Dept. Mgr.) were very motivated to assist, knowledge and friendly.

Thank you, although the store is a list out of my way, i will shop here from now on.

Absolutely atrocious customer service. This “franchise” has their own return policy that deviates from the Canadian Tire policy that prints on the receipt. Highly recommend you shop at the Richmond Hill (Silver Linden) location instead. Store management led by Leo does not understand basic customer service principles and openly encourages customers to shop at other Canadian Tire locations. It’s not surprising that the parking lot was empty. If I was the franchise owner, I would re-evaluate Leo’s place on the management team and their refusal to honour Canadian Tire’s return policy. I will no longer be shopping at this location. If it wasn’t for the excellent service I received at the Silver Linden location, I would re-evaluate my decision to apply for a Triangle World Elite card and all future purchases at Canadian Tire.

I'm not crazy about how Canadian Tire has turned to a Dollar store of home products. But I can safely say with frank products and the core mastercraft/basic home repairs products they have never waivered and have expanded that department. My tip: download the app and check to see if the store has the stock. (surprisingly accurate) before going to the store. The app only works for products in the store. If your looking for garden stuff don't bother. The Markham garden section is pathetic, but you must go to the hwy 7 / red maple store for garden and double the size. Lastly, the stock levels at these stores are really getting down to zero. Starting to look like a bad apocalyptic movie.

Slow service. Returns take forever. Online order pickup took 10 minutes and was inaccurate. Check out with only 2 customers ahead of me required 10 minutes of waiting because only 1 cashier was open for the entire store.

I try my best to support Canadian businesses but its hard when a store is so consistently unorganized and incompetent. They dont have prices on so many items and those they do have are wrong. Some staff seem nice but have no clue how to help in any way and just stare blankly at you because they are untrained or their "system" isnt working. I had $100.00 dollars worth of items i was going to buy but after an hour looking for items, talking to multiple staff and searching my self for items with their non-working computers i just gave up and left it all behind. I will still support Canadian Tire but not this location. Lived near by for 4 years and it has always been below average. Never changes.

Staff know where everything is but doesn't know anything about the product.the sale price are cheaper than walmart.staff is better than walmart.

Came here to do an Emissions Test. Got my car back in 20 minutes and a new huge dent on my quarter panel. Spoke with the supervisor of the Auto Service department only to have him tell me he'll check the cameras later and not immediately. Perhaps they need time to scrub the footage. Regardless, do not trust Canadian Tire to take care of your car.

Terrible auto service department. Ordered 2 sets of wheels in-store. Rather than receiving the order in 3-5 days as told, we ended up waiting almost one month due to store error in sending the order to the warehouse. It was almost impossible to get any update about the order after calling the store on multiple occasions, as well as calling the Canadian Tire customer service line (who could only check the status of online orders, not orders placed in-store). Wrote a review about this on the Canadian Tire website, but apparently it did not meet their "guidelines" to be published. Also contacted Canadian Tire's Corporate Customer Relations and were told they had requested for the Associate Dealer or General Manager to get in touch with us about our experience - we never heard from them.

Horrible experience in this auto service department.

Pre-ordered 4 new snow tires with rims for our new vehicle from Canadian Tires and have an appointment to change them at 11am on a Sat (last weekend). 2 BIG mistakes happened:
1. We were told that the job would be completed by 1: 30pm. However, the job didn’t get done until 5: 30pm with our push (4 hours delay)
2. The new rims were not mounted with the new snow tires; the snow tires were mounted with the original rims. No new rims were given to us. Need to redo the whole job on the next day due the store close to closing time.

Took 2 DAYS to change snow tires. Requested for the manager to call us also submitted a survey and including a request for corporate to call us. Never received any call from Canadian Tire. Should have trusted the reviews and not going.

This store has the worst auto service and parts department, the staffs there are rude and don't seem to want to help. They seem to look very busy and ignore your present. They make you wait for a long time before they reluctantly come to help you. Very poor customer service!
Never buy auto parts from this store, they put in a excessive core charge for the casting and charge you HST on it. When you return the casting, they only refund the core charge but they keep HST. This is a totally rip off. That guy name 'Yaoman' is very rude and told me to complaint to the Head Office. Never have your car service or buy any auto parts at this store!

Everything you would think of is available here. I got a bunch of bathroom deteragent, kitchen iteams and much more. I love using their rewards card and Canadian tire currency was fancy! Wealso found a good dealkn winter tirethat was about 10-25% cheaper than other stores,!

Dont get scammed, check ur papers before you pay. They said they would give me a discount on the lugnuts for my winter wheels. They reverted the price back to original. They also said i needed an alignment, which i dont.

Horrible experience, went to auto service department yesterday for alignment as my car only needs front wheels, an Indian staff replied me with a rude manner, "we only do 4 wheels, YOU WANNA DO IT OR NO, THIS IS THE PROPER WAY TO DO IT" so I told him, is ok thanks, as soon I turned back to leave I heard him "sigh", Canadian Tire should educate their staff and teach them what a "customer service" is, will never return to this auto department.

Seemed helpful enough, typical of a Canadian Tire store. Use the in store free WiFi to use their website to find where things are in the store. Will save you a lot of time.

Went in the afternoon on a Thursday to buy a space heater and heat gun. Guessing it was because of a slow quiet weekday but multiple isles and lanes were congested/blocked with ladders, stock items on a dolly, stock items inside giant boxes and shopping carts with miscellaneous items. This caused physically bumping into other shoppers because the lanes were narrowed and taking roundabout routes because isles were blocked. It wasn't a shopping cart friendly experience. If I didn't have one, it would have been mildly better.

Honestly I don't know how any CT survives. Employees are disinterested, do not care, and none to be found when you need them.
