Went in for service in September 2023 to get my brake/taillights repaired and it burnt out 3 months later. This is not very reliable to get service done to your vehicle

Hi there, auto shop customer services is worse service I ever seen, at around 9: 40 Am November 24 I brought my car to change tries. I ask associate front desk that how long it will take to change tries and she told me that I am the next customer however at 11: 30 my car was inside the shop with no work done because I have an important appointment I requested to bring car back without changing tries but they told me it will take 20 to 25 minutes and that was a ridiculous, any I took my car without services after I was there for almost two hours. I won’t recommend anyone for services in that particular location

I often go to this Canadian Tire store to buy some daily used products such as car shampoo and detergent. However, there's a great chance to get a broken one which cannot be used normally.the product may cost ~10 dollars, it just wastes a long time to get it replaced.

Came here to pick something up and had to ask 3 different people and wait 20 minutes to unlock a cabinet. Only person that was actively looking to help was the guy in a suit trying to sign me up for a credit card.

I have encountered unprofessional treatment for the second time, and they even had security remove me. Honestly, it doesn't matter; they are not the only store, and I won't be coming back in the future!

I bought football merchandise from them in March, and I have the receipt, and the products are unused. I wanted to return them, but they said it's past 90 days, so no returns allowed. I suggested store credit, as I wanted to buy other items, but they refused. I told them that other stores accept returns even after a year, so why can't they? The female manager, Sumi, accused me of yelling at her again, but I didn't. She insisted that I did. Looks like she remembered we had previous conflict but the general manager, Paul, apologized, so I gave them a 5-star review and didn’t complain and hoping they would change. However, this time, she showed no improvement and acted even more arrogant, like a privileged lady. Then she called another male manager, Arichie, who had a contemptuous look, spoke unreasonably, and constantly provoked and challenged me, saying he won't process the return and keep saying “you are not listening but repeat your point”. I told him that the electronic receipt they sent didn't mention a over 90-day non return policy, but he didn't listen and had a very provocative look. Finally, I got fed up and stared at him, saying, "what? " I thought he had some backbone, but he turned out to be a coward, and he called security to remove me. It seems like this bunch of idiots takes pride in making customers uncomfortable, but it's okay; I have money, and I won't shop here anymore. I don't understand what the store owner is thinking, hiring a group of employees who make it difficult for customers.

If you lose your receipt, this store never accepts returns for items purchased from other stores. If you return a product with receipt and they sold out, they won’t return too.

Now, more worse is even if you buy from them, they make it difficult for you.

This store is my first choice store for many years since it is close to my home even if they have known bad support. I tolerant that for years since it is close. However they are becoming worse and worse. Now Customer support all stuff treat customers as enemy.

Now they finally won, removed me successfully and I can not and won’t coming back to this store again!

Other Canadian Tire stores are much more flexible in providing convenience to customers, and their attitude is good too. When you buy things from other stores, you don't have to worry about expiration dates; at least they will offer you store credit. The customer service is also good. Why should we come to this stupid store when we have money? The service staff in the store act as if they are superior, and the manager thinks they are like gods, speaking arrogantly to you. They would say your voice is loud or call security to evict you. It's already 2023, and there are still such stupid stores and service staff. Why should I come back to face those idiots when I easily buy all items from any other Canadian store?

There are lots of bush and weeds on the Sheppard avenue east side of the Canadian tire store. This has to be removed ASAP as it is causing great inconvenience to the people walking through the sidewalk.

Canadian tire quality has gone down a lot. They are selling just anything and everything randomly. Too many questions on returns attempting to sort of not take it back. This wasn't there few years back.

Very frustrating service. Went there for winter tire change at 8: 30 AM and I was 3rd in the queue. Even then my car was not attended even till 11 AM. After asking the Autodesk multiple times, they told that they did not promise anytime! What a convenient answer for a customer who brought the car within 30 mins of the store opening. After waiting there for 2.5 hrs.painstakingly I had to take back my car without the tire change! They don't take appointment as well!

Terrible service when I called the store itself today. Guy that keeps picking up, even when I press for a manager on duty kept sending me to their customer service desk. On my 2nd or 3rd call he left the phone unattended for about 2-3 minutes ruffling through boxes or items kept saying "What is your problem? " over and over.

If your items breakdown within warranty period, good luck trying to get anyone to assist before you show up to process it.

I called the 800 customer care #, they a
Told me the store will reach out the same day. No one called me.

The replies I keep seeing are either copy pasted, or CT has a reply bot set up.

Way to make our terrible experiences even worse!

The staff were great and was a reason I came back. I literally found the same product and a different place but came back here cause the lady who I got the quote from was really nice.

Unfortunately on my visit I downsized the tire size so just got a different quote. Idk why I did not collect the invoice when I rolled the car in. When I did go for a pick up it was a different tire brand. The service rep was a different guy and he told me he would change it. I was just In awe. After 6 hours of wait time. I said it's fine and decided not to bother. Great staff but just a really major hiccup. The reason I know I didn't make a mistake is cause I saw the tire brand on my car and was like these are available in Canada?

Edit: From two to one * after the generic response from the review team which says better luck next time

Edit: Checked invoice. Was charged $140 for bolts. The service rep was kind to take the double charge off.

We stopped at this location just to use the electrify Canada car charger. We went inside the store after we put our car on charge. It’s a pretty big store. The isles were very clean and organized. Staff here was very friendly.

We regularly go to Canadian Tire at Agincourt location. Justin has helped us many times with our sporting needs. Few months ago we went to try on bicycles and he educated us on all the types of bicycles and what was the best one for us based on our needs. 2 months ago I purchased a skating helmet and skates for my son. Justin helped us adjust it. 2 months later we went back and he helped us adjust it again because my son outgrew it. We also sharpened our skates there. Justin is very knowledgeable about sports and knows well his products. He is always willing to help and answer any question we might have! If you need any sport gears or have any questions about it go to Justin! He is always willing to help.

Got here for winter tire change (on rim) at 9am with 3 or 4 guys in front of me in queue waiting. Was expecting 2 hours for the same. It was 11.30am and still the car is not inside the garage! I think they need to improve this lag by prioritizing few ramps for just mechanical stuff and 2 or 3 just for tire change if possible. This is taking a lot lot lot lot longer than it should! Not complaining about the staff as they already informed about no commitment on time but didn't expected that my car would not be even touched until almost 3 hours. Disappointed!

Canadian Tire is among my most favorite stores. After months of delay, we finally got 12 bags of Sifto salt for our water softening system (should last about a year) & a bag of vermiculite to store my dahlia tubers over the winter. Yay!
I'm always impressed with the friendly & helpful service provided by the staff. The guy I asked knew exactly what aisle (#92) I could find the vermiculite & another assistant helped us load the bags of salt in our vehicle. Service was top notch!

Service here is terrible, whether it be over the phone or in-person.
The phone just keeps ringing, they are impossible to get a hold of. I am still on the line and it has been 45 minutes and counting of ringing. Nobody seems to want to pick up the phone from customer service any day of the week.
As for in-person I needed to return an item that was purchased and re-purchase them with a gift card I had.
The employee completely forgot to refund me my initial purchase and charged me a second time only without the refund. So now I am out $1,200 versus the $600 actual cost of the item. Unacceptable. The store employees need to be trained much more on processes and procedures.
Do not recommend this location at all.

I was defrauded by the employees during the purchase. The cashier told me that you can return the product. It is a Hoover carpet, even if I used it, but within a month. And when I returned it, it was too heavy for my wife. The answer was that your money cannot be returned, but it can be exchanged. It says behind the bill that it cannot be returned if the box is opened, so I replaced it with another and paid an additional $200. I advise everyone not to buy anything from this shop.

Had the worst retail experience at this Canadian Tire store ever today 15th August. The manager Mr Asif instead of answering customer service questions ended by saying we reserve the right to do whatever we want to. Did not want to answer anymore questions and asked me unpoiletly to leave or will be escorted out by security, all because he would not accept exchange from an another Canadian Tire store that sent me to this store as they had the product I was looking for.
Threatened to be escorted out of a retail store is a first for me never had that kind of experience ever and did not expect at an iconic brand like Canadian Tire. Corporate Customer service agreed that they should have accepted the exchange and did not treat me the way I was treated.
I will go to other Canadian Tire stores as i love shopping there but not at the McCowan and Sheppard store.

Since I have posted this I have spoken to the number they had replied back with which is a general telephone number, my request to speak to the ownership or the leadership group has not been granted. Looks like they do not care about there customers as to how they get treated and humiliated in there store. Will wait to hear from the leadership team at the ownership level or will take it up with corporate leadership team next.
Not satisfied at all with there complaint management.

The store staff are efficient and well trained but not so much for the security people at the gate. The security ignored some irresponsible people in the line without putting on a mask, even after those people entered the store. Shout out to the store manager or whoever the staff was who stand up and insisted on asking an irresponsible couple to put on the mask in the afternoon around 4pm on July 4,2021, in the line of Customer Service for exchanging and returning. He did the right thing but the crowd was not supportive. He is a hero and deserves a raise.

I went for an oil change for my 2021 explorer and the irresponsible service guys told me the break pad need to be serviced and the also told me to change the cabin filter and fuel injection service is mandatory. My vehicle is just 9000 km brand new vehicle. I confirm with the supervisor on duty at the time I went for an oil change if all there’s are required at this moment. And he said it’s very important to change all these things and told me it will cost 489$ plus tax. And I refused to service my vehicle. The floor manager is a big time fool or doesn’t know what he is doing. His name is ANISH. May you need to learn or undergo training from Canadian. Soon after I left Canadian tyre I went to ford, they checked everything and told me there is no problem with the breaks and it need service after 20000 km.
I realized AUTO Service department at Canadian tyre DOSENT KNOW WHAT THEY ARE DOING OR THEY MAY BE CHARGING HIGHER PRICE WHEN ITS NOT REQUIRED. Such a scammer.

If you're able to walk in, great. Don't bother with curbside pickup. Lazy and clueless employees. Literally the only store during the pandemic to take almost a week to have an order ready, and thats after the "WE'RE WORKING ON IT" email xD.
Oh- and then when you call about the order, the lady gives attitude I'm assuming because she deals with it more than once a day.

This store is always backed up, at times seems disorganised with long lines of people looking confused & inpatient from this circus show! With curb side pick up, having increased volume of customer demand, sure I can see the staff being over worked.

On a positive note, I have to mention that the staff do a great job accommodating requests & thumbs up to the management team for demonstrating above & beyond customer relationship when it came to fixing a purchase error I had with my transaction!

Overall my bike was assembled together well & is still riding strong, not experiencing any signs of poor material workmanship.

This store unfortunately needs some help with operations management. There was only one poor service representative working the Customer Service desk and no one at the In-Store Pick-Up desk in the days following Christmas and Boxing Day! I'm not referring to a scheduling issue, I'm referencing the deployment of the scheduled staff as there were many standing around chatting with each other and/or moving with zero urgency while hopeless customers were waiting in line for over 30 minutes! Quite a disappointing experience to witness at "Canada's store".

Very bad customer service! I went in for skates sharpening and remembered at another store, I needed to prepay beforehand. So I asked a staff if I need to do so at this store and she told me no, just go straight to the sharpening station. I lined up for 15 minutes only to be told to go to the cashier to pay for it first and go back for service! Imagine everyone having to do this? Why can’t they put a sign there? But the staff who did the sharpening was friendly and efficient.
Then I went to buy the battery packs on sale and picked 4 from a bin that had the discounted price labeled. At the checkout, they didn’t scan at the discounted price and I was told those weren’t on sale! The cashier called for a ‘manager’ and she rudely told me the packs were wrongly placed! The entire bin was wrongly placed and labeled? ! Come on! I told her I wanted the packs on sale in the flyer and she reluctantly went in the office to grab one. Even gave me the looks when I asked for 4. Wasted an hour there when it should only take 20 minutes!

Not one of my go to CT locations, but I must say, it's quite a bit location. It usually pretty busy and it can be quite hectic, but the last time I was there was (stupidly) on a Black Friday weekend (Sunday an hour before closing). The whole place was packed but I want to give a big shout out to the staff that handled this REALLY well! Everyone was somehow still incredibly helpful and the check-out lanes were so well handled, I was impressed! I prefer to do most of my shopping online, so I avoid days like this, but it was a good example for other stores I believe!

I went to return a damaged storage tote i bought from another Canadian tire, and the supervisor wanted to give me store credit because 1. I didn't buy it from that location, 2. I didn't return it right away. What kind of a silly unwritten policy is that? CT is CT no better which location. How can they expect people to just be readily available to drop everything they're doing and run back to their store right away for a return/exchange? In the end I did get a refund, but I had to argue my way to it.

Auto section sucks big time here. The Auto section Manager was one of the worst sale person I met from long time. Unfortunately this is the nearest store from my residence so I tried to stop by and purchase tires. The guy at counter who claimed that he is a auto section manager himself started arguing from the begging of the conversation rather than help to find the appropriate tire options. He was very arrogant and instead of helping me find the right product told me that I'm not here to help you window shopping. I believe this guy needs some more training before he's allowed to stand on the counter. Never going to give them any business.

This is life as an employee at Canadian Tire. Brutal 9 hour shifts with no breaks whatsoever, even though your shift ends at lets say 9pm they keep you till 9: 30 or basically until they want you too stay, after that you cant leave the store because the exit door is locked, only the manager can open it, so once your done your shift, expect another 10-15 minute wait to just leave the store. Really absurd system in place and most of the workers are immigrants who barely know English so they are to scared too complain and work like slaves. As soon as your hired every manager is extremely rude and wont give you a minute from their day to listen to you but will instead say what they need too and run off to there duties. No water fountain for staff, disgusting washrooms and no paper towels for staff. Its a absolute Zoo in this place, I don’t know how the upper management lets this happen and how they get away with it, even McDonalds does better by their employees. Very disappointed, do not get a job at Canadian tire, your better off handing out newspapers or working at McDonalds. Iv worked at plenty of retail Jobs all over Canada including Walmart, Mcdonalds, Saveonfoods, Superstore and this is by far the worst place to work at. Its basically a sweatshop.

We got no service from the manger and in fact actually yelled at us and threw the receipts to us when we told him the tires purchased are not legal to be on the road since they have been discontinued. He refused to listen to anything that we told him and told us it is not his responsibility even though Canadian Tire sold them. Old, discontinued tires that are marked not road safe by MTO, police and mechanic and manager Suganthan Sriluxmiranjan refused to listen and said it is not his problem. Be aware this is totally a safer issue they will not stand by their product even if it's your own safety he could not care less.stay away

I grew up in the area and I usually like this place. The last visit changed that. The staff was so unhelpful. I asked for assistance and all he kept saying is whatever is there is all we have. Such a bad default answer to a multitude of questions. It's too bad because on the way out, I saw another staff member helping out an old lady. Another bone to pick on is the traffic around this store. It's horrible trying to get out of this parking lot! God forbid if you want to turn left on EITHER sides of the intersection this store is on. I went home mad.

In all of my experiences as a customer, the experience that I had with this automotive department has been been the worst ever. The total lack of respect for customers is evident when even trying to call them.

Unfortunately, the poor customer service being provided is a direct result of the culture that management (Sugi) has fostered in the automotive department.

Not all Canadian Tire locations are bad because I've had wonderful interactions at others. If you're looking to have your car serviced, there are other Canadian Tire stores relatively close by where you will get better service for the same products being offered here.

Purchased front and back car seat covers, ~$120. Asked a worker if I was able to return them if I did not like them and he said yes. The box was all taped up and ripped, as were many other boxes on the shelf. I tried one on my seat and disliked it, returned it within 20 minutes of purchasing and they gave me a hard time saying they could not re-sell it that way. I explained that is how I purchased it and to check the others on the shelf as well. Reluctantly, they gave me a refund. Very unacceptable. They sold me the seat covers with the box in terrible condition. Everything was still in the box, no tags were torn off from original packaging. They should check the conditions they sell some of their products in if they are going to give customers a hard time when returning.

Terrible experience. Can't handle the crowd. When you see every cashiers has more than 4 people line up. Don't you think you have to call back up? It takes more than 10 minutes for a simple transaction. Secondly I feel that I am back to the 90s' the machine are not able to use Tap function from my credit card. And when I insert my card, if you don't hold on to your card, the card will fall on the ground! Which I need to hold tight to my credit card in the machine.
These are the very basic requirement for the big store to run the business and they can't meet to a standard. No wonder Walmart has more customers than this Canadian tire. Wake up please!
