Canadian Tire

Beware of consumer unfriendly return policy. Purchased a fan with a receiver that didn’t work. Took it back and they wouldn’t give me a store credit or refund. Store policy is to only exchange for like item (they didn’t have anymore) or I had to purchase the equivalent in other products that same day.
Called their head office to ask for a replacement part and was told they don’t do that. After spending 21 minutes on the phone they suggested I return it to the store for a refund. I told them I had tried that and they eventually called the store to setup a return and apologized for the difficult policy the store had.
Back to the store I went. Spent another 20 minutes returning the fan since they had to call head office to confirm they had told me I could return the fan. Store initially wanted to issue a store credit but since they made it so difficult, I wanted a full return this time.
All these hoops to go through for returning a fan that didn’t work is pure nonsense and just leads to a negative customer experience.

Rude old employee. I went to buy a charging cable. I asked him to take it out from locked racks, he took it out and directly take it to cashier.not even let me check it before paying

Worst experience ever! If you are looking for oil change or mechanical services, please avoid and don't waste your time. Booked appointment, came 15 minutes earlier and asked to do it on time as I need to pick up my son. In 45 minutes found the mechanic playing games in my car.it turned out that he didn't even start yet! Had to split with wife and take Uber.service took another 30 minutes after that. This is disrespectful and unprofessional, totally disappointed!

Today July 3 2023 I called automotive parts I waited 10 to 20 minutes to be answered and the result is nothing I’m asking about paint availability dupli-colour he said not able to check in the system.dufferine and 407 Cnd.tire is a worst service employee my experience I don’t recommend this store

Tire installation and balancing - $44+tax per tire when you buy 4 new tires from Canadian Tire - this is excessive. Costco and KalTire charge no more than $20. Many places offer free installation with the purchase of 4 tires.

On this visit (although I have had bad visits in the past) the automotive service was quick and accurate! UPDATE: Another positive experience!

I needed a pair of shorts in a pinch and Canadian Tire came through for me. The store is like most Canadian Tires, I was happy to get what I needed in short notice.

Great store - helpful staff - they have an automotive centre. This store tends to have my items in stock, which is why i like this location. The customer service staff is excellent and very helpful as well!

It's a Canadian tire you been to onow you been to all but it's not horrible by any means

No help and when you find someone 50/50 they have to ask someone else, might as well shop online and have it delivered

This store is rarely busy. Great for quick pick ups. Usually has many for sale item inventory.

Very disappointed by the customer service I received this evening. I am a regular shopper at this store, and i have been for years. I asked a sales associate that I needed a Torx screwdriver for the screw in my hand, was told all torn are in aisle 17. No attempt to help me. I then asked an associate in a red shirt for assistance, I was told ask the guy over there, pointing to the original associate who didn't help me. I expressed to the second associate that the first one wasn't too helpful, and he and another associate, walked off. I was left to fend for myself. Funny thing is, the two associates have been at this store for years, and used to be better!

Cashiers chatting with each other in a foreign language adds that special touch to the shopping experience we all so admire. Even better when that conversation is so engrossing that they forget to hand you your receipt. Great job! I guess I was correct when I wrote the following a year ago: It's an alright Canadian Tire, hit-and-miss with customer service though. Some employees are great at it some don't understand the concept. Hot dog cart has been there so long it's now a semi-permanent structure sporting a cooler on the side. Hot dogs and exhaust fumes, great combo meal. Now with new increased pricing.
