I had a leaking tire on my BMW X5. It’s a run flat, I know it’s not fixable. I went to the auto shop and told them I want to order new tires and fix the leaking tire. I told them the exact brand and model number of my tire. They told me that they have to take the car to the shop. I waited an hour and half. And they still couldn't give an answer.what a waste of time.

I would give zero if I could. Second time I’ve booked a service appointment to get my tires changed (over 3 weeks wait time) only to be told there is no record of it - despite producing a screenshot of the online appointment I made. Was told that they are “very busy” and I can leave the car there for the day - precisely what I tried to avoid by making the appointment. CT is not the only busy one. Customer service is non existent. Will NEVER shop at CT again.

Avoid Autoshop specually for oil change.
I am canadiantire autoshop client since 2016 for oil change and regular visits.
I did my change oil in this centre in Aug for $90. Now its november and nothing happend in related to parts or oil prices. I came back to change oil they gave me quote for $150. Unbelievable 60% increase. You know what rudiculous? Sales person said the reason you paid much more less during couple years ago is the other centres as well this centres forgot to charge you one extra litre. Sorry canadiantire but you loosing your client so easy

If there was a zero star, I would have rated it zero. The auto store was completely horrendous aka the customer service, the team lead 'Gaya' worked yesterday (Sunday Nov, 19,2023) and her attitude was completely atrocious given that she couldn't even lead her team members well and was not polite! Didn't apologize for the mistake that her staff made!

May 2022, the store was reopened after extensive renovations. Local sales abound. The renovations are ongoing and a lot of items have been relocated. Happy hunting
Nov2022: Reno's continue. Better layout with better visibility.

By far the best Canadian tire in the East Toronto area. The entire store is being renovated and reorganized. Give your shopping trip extra time to find the new product locations.

Stock levels are usually sufficient and correct when checked online.

Two levels allows for automotive area to exist in its own lower level. The seasonal garden center is huge, overflowing into the parking areas.

Auto center is quick for simple repairs and emissions testing.

Poor customer service, the cashier over charged me and instead of quickly fixing the problem, made up that we had an extra item for the dog. I don't even have a dog and I'm actually allergic to dogs. The manager had to be involved and after 30 minutes of waiting they finally fixed. This store need to be better at recruiting their staff.

Very disappointed with their auto service…I have paid for their service to get my tire pressure inflation and turns out they didn't complete it at all. The second time to call them their attitude is pretty bad and even directly hang up my phone…

I'm very disappointed. I've been waiting a week to have my seasonal tire changeover. When I entered the auto shop I asked one of the representatives if I could come in and he acted dismissively and told me to wait outside. Once someone decided to help, I go in and tell another worker I have an appointment. As he is checking on the computer, I asked him if I could have the cars oil changed aswell and he gave a rude reply, right then and there I just told him to cancel the appointment. The minute I entered the shop there was nothing but bad attitude and zero customer service. If they continue in this manner they will have little to no customers.

Looking to buy some bike covers and a saddle.
The first store have no stock of bike covers, even though the website said they had 12
The second store had both items, both priced higher at checkout than on the shelves.
This is, sad to say, so typical of Canadian Tire it must be a long standing corporate policy.
Yet, with care and watchfulness, they do carry some useful products at good prices.

I was looking for a sofa cleaner on Dec/15-21, and the Canadian tire mobile app said they have 42 in stock. When I went to the store, it’s empty in the shelf. That’s only the beginning of the frustration part.

And then; I was asking for store associates help; ended up three people work together cannot figure out why the app and Their scanning gun said they have 42 of them and they cannot find it! This whole process, took unbelievable 35 min.

Just one simple stuff, cost them such longtime to find the answer. Cannot believe this happened to me. Advice: never trust the numbers on the Canadian tire app, always go to the store and ask. Because the numbers in the app lots of time is wrong.

And, talked to the manager, typical answer, typical attitude, refuse to help. Don’t know what else I can say. Worst rating give to this store

We came to the auto department of this store and spent more than 2 hours to purchase right sets of winter tires for our car. Staff is nice but very slow in getting the tires out and made mistakes on identifying number of tires in stock, which is frustrating that we had to switch three tires to get four of them. Today we were at the dealership and tried to do changeover and found out one tire was wrong. We had to take uber from Markham to this location and had to skip meetings, waste time and money to get the right tires. Staff was not able to provide any compensation at all the manager did not show up. The staff told us that the manager would arrive when he was actually in a meeting. Very frustrating and not pleasant experience at this store. Will not return again. Do not suggest this auto department to anyone wants to get tires.

I used the automotive services to reseal a leaky tire. The tire was under warranty. The advisor was friendly and knowledgeable, the service was expedient, kudos.

I come to this Canadian Tire for my auto service oil change, tire problems etc for more than 5 years. I was greatly disappointed by the service provided by their representative BILL. All I wanted to say is that if you not in you best mood to work please go home and rest. Please do not let all your negative emotions impact the customer! This message is to all men working in the Auto Service Department too. Customer can see it if you are trying to fake it not wanted to attend to customer and keep them waiting on line.

Supposed to be a quick service in curbside pick up but have been waiting for over 40 minutes now and still waiting for my order to show up.woukd have been faster buying it inside the store. Also called the number 10 times that is posted in the space I'd and they would answer wait for 20 seconds and hang up. Had to go inside to ask somebody to check on the status. They supposed to have everything ready. Very frustrating

Used to go there for servicing my car and all was great but this time I called Auto department on Oct 18 at 3: 50PM to book an appointment for car safety inspection and they kept me on hold for 20 minutes, they guy answered the call and he said please hold again. This review is only about my experience buying in store at this location. I have not done online orders/curbside pickups with them. I already had a bad pickup experience at another location and most likely will never do pickups with CT as a whole.

OVERALL:
This location always has nearly everything in stock compared to the other Canadian Tire locations. I find myself not wanting to go to the other locations because all the items I want for a single trip are (usually) not in stock all at the same time.

CHEAP ITEMS I LIKE FROM HERE:
-Franks paper towels ($15.99 for 12 rolls; 144sheets/roll)
-sterilite laundry basket ($29.99)
-bissell vacuum ($79.99)
-for loving box fan ($29.99)
-starfrit salt & pepper set ($17.99)

TIPS:
-Check their stock info on their website for each product to save multiple trips. You can check for all locations as well.
-Canadian Tire can have some good deals/products that are fairly priced/discounted if you know the price range of any given product across different companies & you do your own research.

If I could put 0 I would.they are so rude specially the Mannager kc, he couldn’t come up with a clear reason why he can’t take it back, I asked for his card he said he doesnt have a card, not sure what kind of Mannager doesn’t have a card and email. I told him I couldn’t rerun it because of covid lock downs, he reply: it’s not our fault we were in lock down.returned the bike before 90 days and they said Because the tag is off they can’t take it, I used the bike 1 time, not sure who drives a bike with a tag on. Lol but they told me to leave because they were busy

Bento, the service manager was awesome! He saved our family trip when we suddenly had a suspension issue. We got in late on Sunday afternoon and we were on the road within the hour. Bento was very understanding of our situation and very professional! Thanks for the save!

Pretty much every time I go to this location I have a problem - either I'm double charged, I can't find someone to help me, or they don't do something correctly. Yesterday I stood at the customer service desk for 5 minutes watching the associate standing 10 meters watching me but continuing his conversation with another associate which appeared to be not work related. It wasn't until another associate passed by and asked if I had been helped that he came. He then proceeded to cut my keys incorrectly, so I have to go back again. This Canadian Tire needs to get it together.

This is one of those garbage stores that makes you turn around from Canadian Tire and go elsewhere.
Absolutely rude manager. I picked an item that scanned at higher price, they reduced the price and said they cannot give it for free, even though it was below $10. I just paid for product and left, never to go back again. What an abomination.

Update: Canadian Tire did got in touch with me and offered to help. I provided all the information from receipt. Hopefully, the store employees get their act right.

This location is open now for business. Some conditions are in place to keep the safety of the customers during this time. I love go there and the quality of products that I need. The staff is nice and helpful. There is 2 parking lots here, one of them underground.
The products are mainly well known brands and also you can get advice for different projects
The shelves are well organized and replenished.
The sad news is Mark's Store close here and not longer will be a this location.

This location is my favourite Canadian Tire, especially during our second lockdown when I was trying to find weights. Weights were sold out EVERYWHERE or were available but at a ridiculously jacked up price. I was able to find weights here (I bought 10lbs dumbbells and a 45lbs kettlebell) without the covid-inflation. I really appreciate how helpful the greeters are too. The moment I step into this Canadian Tire, I am always greeted and then followed by directions to where I can find what I'm looking for. The cashiers can be friendlier but then again, they are paid to help me cash out which is what they always do.

I had the best auto experience here. I brought my car in. He took it for a test drive and was able to show me the problem in a matter of minutes. The mechanic and the lady at the desk were so nice. They did everything they could to get me the lowest price. Thanks guys!

Manager was extremely bad. I am Canadian customer for about 13years now. But I never seen that this behavior from the Manager. I'm could not get help to return the vacuum today and I have to go back again. Extra job for me in the coronavirus situation. I'm not happy at all. When I bought the vacuum, I asked the cashier that if I use it and it is not good, can I return it. He said yes. I used it one time. I didn't like it. I wanted to return it. Cashier was going to return but Manager came at that time and started to argue with cashier and me. I'm not happy at all.

Good selection at this location but the in-store pickup option is located on the far side of the exit, meaning you have to walk through the returns, past all the cash registers as people are checking out and heading for the exit to make it to your item. It's a lot of weaving and digging to try to make it across the exit while people try to leave. At the Warden location, the in-store pickup is located at the entrance, meaning you just walk in, get your item from the entrance and walk out.

I'd recommend you choose curbside for this location- in store pickup felt more dangerous than just going to the aisle and getting the item myself.

Canadian Tire was affordable. Everything is over priced now and I can literally buy all there products on Amazon for 100's of dollars cheaper. I went in to buy tools and everything was pretty pricey compared to other stores.

While this is my local Can Tire (for decades) today's curbside pickup was AWFUL. And by that I mean, time consuming and poorly organized. The lineup for the cs pickup wrapped around the parking lot in a super circle. Probably 50-60 cars, tempers short, horns a beeping. On top of that there was only one scanner person, scanning each person at a time. The best part is that the delivery to car was fast. Other than that I'll either go to another location or store altogether. Ikea has a much better pickup system.

I chose this location for curbside pick up over the one near home because it's closest to work, I can just come here during lunch. I am surprised how quick and efficient the curbside pick up is! There were ongoing cars checking in for pick up, but I was in and out in less than 10 mins. The staff is friendly and polite. It's the best and most organized service I have experienced this pandemic at all curbside pick up stores (W**mart, The H*** Depot, etc)

That is my favorite store I just shop something like these days because of covid I have to do everything online and pick up from the store at the curbside I'm was concerned how the things will working out but my concern wasn't justified everything was working so smooth and I want specially to mention one of the stuff her name it's soul I hope I pronounce right she helped me out with some mistakes what I did to put my order online I'm a senior citizen and for me order online it's not something easy to do anyway as I said because of the stuff I end up to get what I want. One more thank you from me.

I visited Auto centre for brake related issue. I guess that the employees forget that there are windows in waiting room and customers can see there car.

I spend 2 hours waiting for 10 min of work. Upon arrival, an employee check my breaks and completed his work in 15-20 mins. Including time to move vehicles and paperwork, it was maximum half an hour job.

They kept telling me to wait. After 1 hr 30 min, they call me saying that they recommend I change my wheels since they’re bald. After denying the service, they made me wait another half an hour stating that they need to put my wheels back on. It was lie since they put tires back an hour ago. I had an appointment so they don’t even have excuse that they were working on other cars.

This review is not about the staff who are working hard with min wage to keep the lights on during the pandemic.
I've been a client of CT for last 7 years and I was very happy with their costumer service till I went to this location.
I was talking nicely to one of the staff about exchanging a dolly that I ordered online couple of days ago, then a guy showed up with a cold face and asked what’s wrong with the product, I explained the issue that the wheels keep coming off and causing problems when I move my stuff,
He kept questioning or better said interrogating me why you used it and so on. I simply answered “I bought it online and I couldn't try it before ordering it, now I'm not happy with the quality, this is any costumer’s right to ask for return or exchange when there is a problem on the product”
Then I asked for the store manager and he said I’m the owner, he was like I’m the owner and you can’t do anything, his reaction was extremely disrespectful, unethical and entitled. To me it wasn't worth it to waste my time arguing with such a greedy and unprofessional person, so I droped the dolly and left the store without taking my money back.end of story, you lost a loyal costumer and got a 1 star review on your bussiness and only if you were educated you could understand what it means.

Customer service is not that good. Was totally ignored by some workers even at the counter. Took a long time to find someone that would actually take time assist. Took him 15 seconds to lead me to what I was looking for.

Not smart enough to set up a seperate line for people not driving. When I suggested it the guy got belligerent and actually had the nerve to say they were doing me a favour. Good to know a store taking my money is doing me a favour. Can't wait for stores to open again so I can go to Walmart and home hardware.

It's a good Canadian tire. Very Large store with 2 floors. Has everything you need.sometimes there is a long line-up and they aren't clear about which doors to enter from so check before you park.

Zero star! I am CT member and I went to the garage service today and I was waiting for more than 15 minutes, no one to come and see what I need. The man that suppose to attend the customer was on the phone, when he finished the call, he started talking to the employees. He saw that I was waiting, but he simply ignored the customer.terrible customer service.

Bad service in the Auto Department.

Canadian tire always has a great selection of goods. If you watch for flyer deals, you can save a lot of money if you're on a budget.

Awesome stock availability with plenty of options. I am one completely satisfied and happy client!

Always have what I am looking for and I enjoy collecting those Canadian Tire points.

Very well managed store Great layout and organized staff. The most knowledgeable person I've ever come across at the scope counter.

I purchased a bicycle online. I called at the store and requested the lady to provide me with me the new assembled bicycle - I specifically told her not to give me the floor model. When I went to the store to pick up the bike, I approached the lady at the pick up counter - she took out the paperwork - and started looking for my product. She couldn’t find it and after 15 mins my products arrives. It looks like they gave me the floor model. Not satisfied with the customer

The staff will help if you ask them. They usually have what I need in stock. Sometimes it's hard to find staff and some products are being sold that were returned.

If you feel like being ripped off on auto services and are willing to pay gobs of money - this is the place for you!
I never go to CT for auto services but I was in a pinch and didn't have many options, for last minute issues.

Dec 28th - I took my vehicle in for a rattle (heat shield was loose, I knew this because it was a reoccurring problem for me), and an oil change. I was told that my heat shield had split In two, so I agreed to the removal. I was also told that my front brakes needed replacing (which was probably true, it had been quite awhile since I had them serviced) so I agreed. $$$

Jan 16 - brought my vehicle back because there was an audible squeaking/rubbing when I would brake. Was told that I needed my rear brakes replaced, rotors, and both bearings. Now, I was just about to walk into a very stressful exam when I got the phone call from CT informing me this and the cost. I didn't have much time to consider having my car towed to my regular mechanic in Barrie, so I agreed. $$$$

Jan 17 - Drove less than 100km when my brake light came on my dash. Tried to problem solve it myself (put my E-brake on/off).

Jan 18/19 - Back to North York for them to figure out why my light is now on after extensive work on my brakes. Staff were not excited to see me, I was not happy to see them either. I was told that my E-brake was loose and if I didn't want to pay to fix it they suggested I "put my large purse on the brake to keep it down, so it doesn't go on". Cool.thanks

Fast forward to mid-March, my brakes were squeaking…. AGAIN. So I took my vehicle to Barrie South CT and was given quite a shock.

The mechanic in Barrie informed me that the workmanship done by the previous mechanic was poor, to say the least.
My front brakes were not lubricated - part of the front brake pad had broken off - the rear brakes were not reassembled correctly, which was causing the rotors to rub - there was a pedal pulse caused by the poor assembly and lack of lubrication - left rear bearing was loose - the E-brake line simply needed to be tightened.

Thankfully someone actually cares about their job and was able to help me out at the CT in Barrie South. The mechanic and supervisor contacted Head Office and had all the new parts and service fees waved for me.

To summarize - do NOT go to the auto service department unless you are willing to have poor workmanship performed on your vehicle.

I live close by so I may be biased. That being said, Canadian Tire is a great place to live near as it has pretty much everything other than clothes. The auto shop is overpriced but that’s a convenience premium.

Auto Service is 1 star and the rest of the store is 5 stars so I rounded to 3.

Auto Service: 1/5 stars. I booked an appointment for 10: 30am only to go there and find out that they where 2.5 hours behind schedule. Delays happen but they didn't even bother to give me a call and let me know that they were delayed - ended up wasting my time driving all of the way there for nothing.

The store (excl. Auto service) gets 5/5 as it is my favourite Canadian Tire store.

Went in for the new set of tires. Arrived @ the location @7: 35am and checked in by 7: 40am. Was advised the service guys are starting @8am? (Shop opens at 7: 30am.) and I informed the advisor I will wait in and advisor informed me it will be done by 10am. By 10am, checked with service advisor it's not done and I over heard the conversation with the mechanic saying "oh, I didn't know this was wait In, why didn't you tell me? " The service was done by 11: 45am. Next morning, I was driving to work and the air pressure warning sign came up and brought back to the shop again but since I went In @7: 30pm, one of the advisor just checked the tire pressure and told me to rest it. I have been resetting the warning every hour or so since then.

I was more than 30 minutes looking for tap, I asked 2 staff and they send me to the manager of the section, she was really rude, unpolite and she notice to me very clear that it was very annoying helping me. She was very busy. So I asked to a young gay staff again and he was very nice and very kind.
They don't have what I was looking for anyway.

I've been here at least a dozen times. The retail store has always been very decent, good amount of employees around, well organized, the managers are always on the floor keeping a eye on things and they were really nice to deal with the one time I had to make a return.

The tire shop and parts department on the other hand. If your going into the tire shop for anything, you better plan a whole day just for the check in service. As for the parts, they really just don't seem to have a clue, so you gotta know exactly what you need, double check it before you buy it and don't bother calling to see if they have stock, cuz what they say on the phone and reality seems to be two very different things.

This store is large and carries most items. However both the check out and returns line is a miserable experience - lines are long and their system is inefficient. I try to avoid the store unless I have to go, and if I do, I make sure it is not during peak hours.

Good selection of products but the staff are not very helpful.
Lack of customer service is evident throughout the store as everyone is trying to avoid eye contact as the are all too busy.
