Some staff are knowledgeable about the products, others are completely ignorant of the stock and what names for items are. Good luck finding one of the former

Sep 2022 not as poor, better stock, helpful employees. Still very cluttered, layout is not consistent with other stores. Getting assistance is easy but 50% or more staff aren't sure where things are.

They don't have Anti vibration Lock washers! The ones with the little teeth on the outside or inner hole edges.

Less Disappointing visit.

I like that I can take my dog with me into this store, it is good training experience for her for socialization, and I don't have to leave her at home for a quick trip to the store.

Mechanics wanted to charge me 80$ to check for a bad wheel bearing.they insisted they needed to remove the tires and do a full inspection of the breaks like they thought I'm some kind of idiot. I can hear it while driving all you need to do is lift up the car and spin the wheels. Went to jiffy lube instead took 10 minutes to positively identify which wheel and they helped me find a mechanic that replaced it right away.

I called the Leaside location 11 times and was hung up on each and every call. Classy. Really. Really. Classy.

Actually i was at the food truck outside of Canadian Tire to buy some fries and gravy. Good spot if you are hungry for fast food

If you buy something and you don’t like the quality, they don’t want to make it valid for you, I bought a car charge and it had the holes badly aligned and it was so loose as soon as I mounted a cooler and the charge tilted, the support metal was so thin. They barely wanted to make the change valid, warning that they would not accept return except that the product is merely defective, that there is no guarantee of quality or satisfaction.

I have been a customer in that store for many years buying
there all my household needs while feeling "at home"!
Always nice to brows and see what is new on the shelves, items tastefully
combined together.
I also change my tires at their "Service" and store the extra "out of season" tires with them.
Just recently I had to drive to a family event out of town and just the night before noticed a warning message on my dash board saying that one of my tires has a problem. I rushed to Canadian Tire at 7 am!
If not Darshan from the "Service department" located the problem and took care of it, making the car ready to travel again, I would probably miss that imporatnat event.
Very professional check up, quick diagnoze and a rush repair while I am waiting there and within an hour I was on the road again!

Very good store. Super big stock of everything. One problem left. If you want to buy something by their advertisement - it can be a situation that you'll not find it exactly. Don't worry! You'll find something similar instead.

Great concept! Wonderful implementation. The store completely transforms from one season to the next. Incredible! Glad to have access to this store and encourage Canadian Tire to roll out more of these showroom stores across Canada. It's that good and that valuable to their brand and image.

Robert in the parts department helped me get the lug nuts I needed for my truck quickly while being very professional.

I have been shopping at this location for many years.
I also bring in my car for maintenance and repairs.
My battery died and it needed the replacement.
Appointment was scheduled at 2 PM. I have arrived few minutes earlier. My car was looked after by Mr Goodyear. First he had to charge my battery to bring the car into the shop. Before I had a chance to walk around the store my car was all fixed up and ready to go. I was in my car by 2: 25. Impressive service

I went to the Leaside Canadian Tire to get my skates to sharpen. I talked to one of the employees, but he was inattentive to what I needed to be done. It seems he does not care about assisting me at all. After some time of waiting, One of the employees was able to sharpen my skates. Later that same day, I went out skating and I was not able to skate like I normally do. I was upset at how badly my skates were sharpened. The next day, I went back to the store to have this problem fixed. Again a different employee tells me to go to the sports counter and someone will be there to help me. I waited for at least 15 mins finally one of the employees named Quan approach me and he ask how can he help me. I explained to him what was the problem with my skates. Quan responded to my problem quickly and he was able to present me with a solution. He resharpened my skates properly and was apologetic for the inconvenience. Quan was the only employee that I had a positive experience with within this store. My experience at Leaside Canadian Tire was very bad. I did not need to go through all of this just for one simple service. If anyone is looking for a place to get their skates to sharpen, I would recommend not to go to Leaside Canadian Tire and avoid a headache.

Change four winter tires, 17 inch wheel. Cost me 160+ including taxes. My dealer only ask for 160 tax included. The price on the wall mentioned it should be start from 59.99 and the staff told me it’s 100 for 17 inch tires in September, that’s why I came here. This time, The staff told me that’s the price for 13 or 14 inch tire. Is there 13 inch tire? If your tires is over 17, I have no idea how much they gonna charge you. They also ask me 220+ at the beginning, including tire insurance for which I never ask for! Be careful when you go to auto service here! I thought they are reliable and trustworthy, but the reality is just like this. Lots of hidden price. Would never come again. Recommend everyone Ask their price by phone before going, though different staff may give u different prices just like what happened to me. Not well organized and disappointed! If owner saw this review, please tell me what’s the official price!

This is the absolute worst place for automotive service. Took 3 hours to get my tires changed. Took 4 hours for an oil change. Customer service does not care at all. After telling them about the experience they offered excuse after excuse and took no ownership of the terrible service they provide. I will never go back to Canadian Tire for any automotive service. If I could give this place 0 stars I would have.

I ordered my winter tires and you guys debited the money from my account. Now they cancelled the order and I have to wait 5 to 10 days to get my money back. Why do you say you have tires available and then suddenly you're out of stock?

Great place to go if you like to spend 2.5h phoning to find out if your car is ready and never once being answered by a human.

Helpful staff, clearly marked signage marking aisles, adequately stocked inventory of current, popular products. Reasonable prices. Ample parking.

I'd like to start off by saying I usually love Canadian Tire. I shop at various locations, pour gas, and have collected hundreds/thousands of Canadian Tire dollars over the years.

This one is the worst laid out Canadian Tire I've ever been to. Nothing is in the same place as the other locations. Most of the aisles are not wide enough to allow people to pass eachother so expect to back out of aisles frequently. There were so many people stuck at the end of an aisle that I literally walked backwards with my cart about 30ft so that I can find a way to get out since there is no room to turn around. There are also not enough cart return sections in the parking lot. There is only 1 cart return even though there is an island as wide as 2 cars separating the two halves of the parking lot. This makes all the people that parked on the other side of the island to leave their carts in the middle. Avoid this place like the plague.

Brought my car in for a RIV inspection and tire swap. They did an excellent job and communication was very good. Very friendly and responsive. I would definitely recommend.

I went there to return a fry pan, which I just bought on the same day. I just returned coz it wasn't perfect size. Return customer service wasn't welcoming well, her look was kinda neglecting and disrespectful. So I will try to avoid this store.

Great big store. Nice selection, not markupped like crazy. Showroom has house-items, while Auto is a garage, and then there's a large normal Canadian Tire building/store as well.

I placed an order for wheel bearings and on top of receiving it late. Once received and took in to Install, my 6 years dealt with Mechanic found out that one of the bearings was not compatible with my car and he had to put back my old one so I can get back on the road. Make a story short, He Ordered me a new one and booked me an extra appointment for another one wheel bearing installation. I ended up paying 180$ extra because Canadian Tire (leaside) gave me the wrong part. Instead of an apology, the manager was like it's the system that we follow and why didn't you bring your car to us for installation? If I can't trust you guys with a simple part like a wheel bearing, do you expect me to trust you with my own vehicle behind closed doors?

Workers must not be customer service trained! Watched many sales associates be incredibly unhelpful and rude to other customers. Curbside pickup was completely unorganized and was left standing for a long time before anyone even bothered asking if anyone was helping me.

The service is fast and the staff are really helpful. We have to go to the Canadian tire showroom for online order pickups.

Very helpful staff, especially Nadem, who went out of his way to help us find the exact type of product we were looking for (an under-cupboard kitchen light) and to ensure we had all the features and parts required to mount and connect it.

Aisles feel a bit small at this location however they do carry a wide range of products, as well as a small assortment of seasonal items

Five star is for mr robert who works at canadian tire. Strange experience at canadian tire. I went in to buy a bike rack. Normally it is impossible to find help at canadian tire but a gentleman by name Robert offered his help and went all out to help me find what i needed. I felt like i have gone back in time to 1980s. This type of service is unheard of these days.

Picking up an online order, I arrived at 8pm exactly, and staff unlocked door and waited while my package was ”brought over, ” which they knew would happen. Yet no whisper or mention, no inkling of the burden I had put upon the four of them. Otherwise, the Showroom was spacious.

A good selection of household items under one roof. That includes appliances such as vacuum cleaners, blenders, toasters; pots and pans; sporting goods such as yoga mats; toys; gardening products; and a lot more.

Very convenient. But prices are not necessarily the lowest. Best to compare online first before buying.

Curbside pickup no longer available, despite placing said order online and receiving a confirmation email. Inadequate signage, and not enough staff.

Hours shown on door are wrong. Shows open until 9 PM, however closes at 8. Perhaps consider updating your hours on your front door? Just a thought.

This CT is very poorly run (aren't they all at this point). Almost every time I make a purchase something js broken or defective because the quality of their products is so terrible.

Curbside pickup taking 5 days is a joke when Home Depot fills orders same day.

Customer service here has always been very poor as well. Numerous issues with them.

When stores were open the showroom employees were not following distancing protocols at all with each other or customers. I also asked where to find indoor lights and they didn't know. Then I saw a whole shelf in middle of store with them. How would they not know especially since the store was specifically all Chrismas stuff.

Spend your money a Home Depot or Lowes instead!

They claim to be offering curbside pickup but you have to park and then line up outside with many other people. This clearly isn’t helping limit contact with people. I do not recommend using this store for your curbside pick up.

Worst service ever! Imagine I bought skates there they gave me each foot a different size, waited to get the shaped and when we found out they brought in same foot, i have 2 right foot and there is no way to retune during lockdown, just purchased a new pair!

Don't use this location for curbside pickup. They do not utilize the parking lot like the other locations. You wait in line behind other cars that trail out onto Laird.
It lacks efficiency and organization.

During lock down only curbside pick up available. My online order was ready the next day for pick up so manage your expectations.

Avoid this store for curbside pickup at all costs. I have never seen such mayhem in 10 months of the pandemic. Also, 10 months later they should have this figured out by now.

I waited over 45 minutes to pickup hockey pucks. FORTY FIVE minutes.

I properly pulled up to the sign in line along with the other cars. There was only 1 emplpoee running back and forth to the cars but he eventually disappeared. As time went on and people didnt see anyone from the store they started getting out of their cars and confused if they had to line up since Canadian Tire has a big sign to line up outside of your car. People then tried to start entering the store because nobody was coming out. A good 20 minutes of seeing not a single employee went by and the line started getting longer and people were unsafely not distancing.

Then cars started coming from the back of the line and pulling up in front ahead of the sign. Once the employees actually resurfaced they started taking the cars who went ahead in line instead of the people who had been waiting 40+ minutes in their car. They then abandoned helping people in cars and ONLY helped people who had gotten out and were standing in line.

It was madness. I felt like I was watching an SNL skit. In 10 months of shopping I've never seen curbside pickup or the pandemic handled so poorly. Avoid at all costs!

Okay.you go to buy a bulb and 20mins later you're leaving with $300 worth of things you never knew you needed. It's that kind of store.

Avoid curbside pickup as of Jan 5th. Too cold to fully explain standing outside in a long line up, but they did about as good a job managing this as they do a brake job on your car.

Absolutly Horrible CUSTOMER SERVICE. Called inquire about a product that I needed to purchase. The online purchasing system was down and the website notified to purchase in store only. Problem is the store is closed due to COVID.how do I get my product. I put this question forward to the customer service representative that worked in sporting goods and she was the rudest person i've ever spoken to. She did nothing for me to help me figure it out, would not retrieve a manager to help and hung up on my twice, on purpose. I tried to stop her by saying "excuse me, please can you help" and she just hung up in frustration. WORST EXPERIENCE EVER. I've called the store 8 times now and not a single person will pick up the phone. Left a message with the manager and will not return my phone call. Dont buy anything from this location. Horrible customer service.

I have a love hate relationship with Canadian Tire. On this particular visit I called to confirm that Christmas tree lights would be available. I was told yes, no problem. I came over the next day only to find out that that section of the shop had been closed due to not being deemed essential. So I was not able to go in to get lights, but right beside me were returns and in there were lights so I took what I could and considered myself lucky to get that. Got them home and put them up the next day and they work. Really content even though they were not exactly what I had wanted. So all in all I am happy having walked to and from the store for over hour each way. The staff really tried to help me so they cannot be faulted for their efforts and the reason for the five star. It is the sentiment which is most important.

For years this was my favorite location, but last 3-4 times something changed. Cashiers are nice and helpful as always, never an issue, but measures that are necessary due to Covid need to be improved. There is so much stuff loaded everywhere outside of aisles, and people not watching arrows on the floor, are bumping into you way to often, happened each time l. Today a person without a mask in aisle 4. I know it's hard to control customers.but there should be at least one person watching how customers are following rules, especially as it got really crowded. As mentioned, that all become obvious last few weeks, and from today I will be avoiding to visit this location until there is some improvement.

No distancing during a lockdown. No curbside pickup as indicated. Went to pick up a baseball helmet at the showroom, waited in a long line and they gave me a cracked one. I had to wait in another long line to exchange it and they then gave me a store credit with an expiry date which is illegal. I thought I'd support big box store Canadian rather than Amazon but not doing that again after this experience. These box stores just don't hold up to Amazon so I won't mind when they go under but please support small indpendent business. The manager of this store should be fired! I can venture a guess that they're an anti-masker type of person and they run their store as such. Calling corporate to let them know what goes on at this location.

Went in to purchase a bbq and the service I received from the employee who works in the backroom/warehouse area (wish I got his name!) was exceptional! Great attitude, great conversation and overall great experience! Well done!

Small and congusted compared to eglinton one, staffs are friendly, knowledgable and ready to help compared to eglinton branch.

The customer service could be a bit better. The staff member seemed really angry when I asked him to unlock an area where I needed a key to get access to a razor I wanted to purchase. After he opened it, he walked away without saying a word about the products. I thought it was a bit strange.

The staff have always been helpful, especially when it comes to helping me find inventory. If I have to go to the warehouse to pick something up, they always explain the process.

Fast Auto Service but prepare yourself to keep calling in like 20 mins if you wanna call them check up something.

Ted in auto service made sure my initial problem was well taken care of. He's an expert at what he does and truly enjoys it, cheers.

It's a good Canadian tire place, have a lot of. But just like any CT, half of the employees are not interested in their jobs. They don't make an effort to help the customer, save some gems. Out of 30 workers, 5 are really good and you will be well helped.

Auto Center Review: I went in for an AC issue that just couldn't seem to get fixed but thankfully I found TED at the Car Service counter who was absolutely amazing! Ted is an old-school service guy who actually listened to the problem I was having and immediately jumped into action to try and figure out a solution. Thanks to Ted, my car is FINALLY fixed and I dont have to worry about y toddler overheating in there.a HUGE thank you to Ted and his tea members at the Auto Center! Highly recommend this location!

Lost 536 dollars because the 5 credits had run out. Told me l would have to complain with Montreal office. Said l had already tried that. Told them to stop selling bad products.

Whenever I have to get something from CT this is where I go. They always have what I want, it's never a mess, and rarely has long lines at the cash.

I find this Canadian Tire more cluttered and crowded with goods than other stores. Other stores also have a better garden centre though this does have a separate outdoor furniture department. Service is okay. Good parking available since there aren't that many stores in the same plaza. Never used the automotive services.

No one cares and help what you are looking for. You are on your own to find something. Staff is playing hide and seek game and they're good to hide.

We bought 2 bikes today. 2 hours later we went back with one of them already broken (first ride at the park). They would not exchange it and we might even have to pay for the repair. The staff were very friendly but we are very disapointed with this experience and having to see our sons face. Don't recommend buyimg a bike there!

I had a very pleasant experience at the canadian tire store on laird. The item i was looking for was not on the shelves and even though the store inventory showed a quantity of 2, i could not place them. I asked a staff member who looked through the store and was unable to find it. Shortly after she called the manager who got on the search. Having no luck the manager (xavier) asked me to call the next day and he would look into it. True to his word the next morning he called around 9am and not only had he placed the item, he also put it on hold for me and ensured he updated me. Truly a professional gentleman and a very detail oriented individual. This location is lucky to have him on staff. Thankyou Xavier for a wonderful customer service experience.

Great selection of items, and thankfully several stations are available to search the location of things you're looking for as the staff doesn't seem super engaged or knowledgeable.

Today I went to the location I find the cashier's name is Mose is very bored rude person, not friendly and unwelcome because I asked her to redeem my E-CT money (this is my first time) and she spoke a mumbling explaining me how to redeem only a credit card and I don't quite understand what she's saying and I pretending to ignored her.she raised her voice demanded the cost register amount and I say to her wait I can get my wallet out of my purse to pay cash then I asked her I would like have two bags she give me dirty look acting she is lazy bum person. GEEZ I would never return to this location and I would NOT recommend to this location ever! UGGH!
This is unprofessional customer service and poor performance especially attitude. She need to re-training.
