My family are members of the museum and we come everytime they have a car show! I've come here for over 7 years and everytime I come, there is always something new to see and learn! Their cafe is also amazing and have nice sized portions.
The collection, information, and passionate employees made it a really nice experience. This was my second visit, the first visit I missed the Lancaster. Thank you for the preservation and revival of this piece of history and technology.
Swing out to Victory. Amazing place. Amazing people. Toronto All star band was awesome. And all in front of one of the world's only 2 flying Lancasters.
Throughly enjoyed this visit! The restorations are amazing. Bonus was getting to see an old plane receive its transformation and the painstaking steps required to do the work. Well done!
My husband was gifted a ride in the Boeing Stearman biplane. It was a fantastic bucket list check for him, he loved it! We then toured around the warplane museum, would totally recommend this for those who love history & planes and fascinating for those who didn't know they do as well! The volunteers and staff were all so knowledgeable about any plane you were looking at. The gift shop has so many inique gifts, you can't help but ohhh & ahhh!
Great place to visit, my son loved being up close to all the planes. The Lancaster being only 1 of 2 still flying from 1945 is always a great experience.
Such a fun and informative museum. This Museum featuring dozens of Canadian military planes, plus aviation exhibits & flight simulators.
The planes are beautifully restored. The exhibits are excellent, so much history, and so many great personal stories. A good experience for any age. Every single person that works there, interacted with nothing with positivity and love and care about the place and also educated.
Very nice place to be with the children. They have a nice collection for heritage planes. We had the chance to see the Dakota and the Lancaster landing and being returned to the hanger. Staff are amazing and helpful. If you love aviation, you definitely should go there. Make sure to go upstairs and see the airport and planes from the observation terrace.
Amazing museum, a must visit! And they are extremely sweet and helpful. They give u ana amazing tour and tell h stories of how the planes went through the war and were rebuilt. The cafe too is really nice good portions very wel priced. Lastly you also get to sit in 3 of the planes. It’s a very cool experience! And they have a flight simulator too. Must go with kids.
Went in to do the flight simulator VR experience. What a blast. The staff was super friendly and provided relevant assistance when required. I’ll totally go back.
We took a flight in the C-47 Dakota, everything from parking, reception, flight reception, instructions to what is required before the flight, during the flight and after the flight. This was a great experience. So good I’m going to book another flight on another plane. August 26,2023
If you're into Canadian wartime history, aeronautic engineering, flight simulation, etc.then this is the place to visit. From the moment you get there you are overwhelmed with feelings of history. Old pictures, actual physical memorabilia. Tons to see and do. Great way to spend the day. Enjoy.
A huge shoutout to the staff & volunteers at Cdn Warplane Heritage Museum. Calling this place a “museum” is a misnomer, it is bustling with life and energy. The place is beautiful and everything, including active restoration work, is wide open. The staff and volunteers are super friendly and clearly show their labour of love and make it so you can feel the stories of these aircraft. A special shoutout to “Boomer”, my pilot for a dream come true flight in the open cockpit Stearman by-plane. It was constructed in 1942 and flying in that today, wow, or even just seeing it in flight, is a testament to the passion of the people at the CWHM. A great way to spend some time engaging with this amazing place and watching the busy takeoff and landing magic of these working aircraft. A wonderful experience for everyone, a blow-your-mind experience for aircraft enthusiasts.
Awesome place to see airplane. However, one of the staff wasn't kind at all. My daughter saw the sign that "touch to open" from the back of airplan and just drop down a very short ladder and 2 staffs were able to push it back. There was a sign "not touch" displaced infront of the plane and unfortunately my daughter didn't see it. One staff kindly remind us and We said sorry and my daughter said sorry as well. After walk away, one of the staff yelled loud with angry voice. I think it's unnecessary to act like that. My suggestion, the museum should displace more remind sign around. THAT WAS EMBARRASSING! And kids love to explore.
Well worth the money. It was so cool seeing the displays. Everyone was very friendly and willing to answer questions. I'm not really in to airplanes but i had a great experience.
Even the cafeteria and souvenir shop were very reasonably priced.
