Canal Valley

Go for a walk with the dog. I give it 2 stars because the city of St. Catharines doesn't do anything to clean up the park of all the people that are living there garbage build in those areas is just horrible and not hygienic. This can be a very nice trail once again

It's a great place to walk the dogs and hike with the family nice view and a cool antique and historical canal runs throught lots of different species of wildlife and cool skate park that was once the old lifeworks factory I visit this place with my dog he especially loved the skate park lol

Not a great place to take the kids for walks.also to keep in mind to be very carefully of shape objects

Picturesque trails that follow along old parts of the Welland Canal. Part of the Merritt Trail that runs through the centre of St Catharines.

A great place to walk with you family and dog. And I love the skate spot that's being built. Clear out the riff-raff and let kids and families enjoy a historic spot

Really nice walking trail in that area unfortunately there is a fair amount of construction and housing going in. All in the name of progress I guess.

Really nice historic trail, great for hiking and dog walking year-round. It is easy to access from downtown with a parking lot and near bus routes.

Con: it really needs to be cleaned up (garbage, graffiti, old rusty/broken fences, etc.)

If you living in saint Catherine valley canal is Foo you is good place to relax, come to work there you will relax on the would, if you like nature is good place be # I love my tour in Canal Valley peaceful place

It's a nice area right by the water, very pleasant walking area, theres quite a significant amount of garbage that could use to be cleaned up

Big carp roaming the old canal/creek shallow water and tonnes of trash could be turned into a sweet fishing spot

Nice place to explore in your own backyard. Good trail suitable for walking, hiking or walking dog.

Wooded park with hood trails along both sides of the first Welland Canal. Parking at the Knifeworks Historic Area off Westchester.

Its a large part of the history of not just the city but of the province as well. Its also just a good place for a long walk.
