CanAm Self Storage

I highly recommend this place if you are in need of a storage unit. The facility is very clean and well kept. The customer service is great, always very friendly and shows all the options that fits your needs. However, I wish they would give a courtesy call in advance to check in if you are extending it another month or not.

I am currently a tenant, and on Sept 29,2023 was notified of a price increase for Nov 1st. This increase was for 20%, I understand the costs of goods and services has risen but 20 % seems exorbitent. Then on October 30,2023 I received a notice for "New Fees" to be added effective December 1st. This increase amounted to another increase of 12.25 %. It feels like the management understands that moving would be more painful than paying a 32.25 % increase?

I have been using the storage for a year. The site manager was so nice and polite. The prices are great. I would recommend this storage.

The staff at Waterloo Mini Mall storage is very friendly and helpful. The facility is clean and organized and well kept. I would recommend this storage facility to everyone with a need for storage space.

I was there for the first time this morning to put items in the storage unit and required some assistance to get in but the staff person was great very courteous and helpful.

Very reasonable rents. Last year when I booked a unit I was told by the call center that one unit was the right size, but when I got there it was clearly too small. The person at the front desk switched to a better unit size on the spot. Just re-booked for this summer and it was so convenient. Staff is great - both the call center folks and the people at the location!

I was constantly on the move in the Waterloo area and needed a place to keep my luggage.

Mini Mall Storage had the perfect storage size for me at a great price! Would recommend!

I have issues with this storage. I terminated a 12-mo contract and I can't get my money back for more than 3 months. It used to be a great CanAm storage, then Mini Mall acquired it increasing prices by 30-50%, There was a major flood event destroying the content of many units, and finally they delay with refunds. Staff is helpful, but the company. Stay away from this place.

Update: I got my money back after 6 months of waiting.

Doesn't accept people who are homeless amd refuses to get ur belongings out after stating u have ten days. Like is it fair no and all my stuff is there.

I had an excellent experience here. The lockers where clean and the facility was in excellent condition. Person named Dan was extremely easy to talk to and answered all questions I had. The facility had excellent security and the ac was a good to have while unloading even the doc area was in an excellent condition and clean I would very much recommend this storage place to any one in or coming to this area

After the change in ownership, this company management services are terrible with different information provided to clients every single time. No organization and lots of confusion from within. Ensure to have some proof of conversation with every employee or they will outright go back on agreements.

Terrible customer service. They will promise one thing over the phone and immediately go back on it with a 'what are you gonna do about it? ' attitude.
I hope someone files with better business bureau cause you guys are a bunch of thieves

An excellent experience, we felt highly valued, process for rental was simple, something reassuring when booking from 1600 kms away. Facility is very clean, well organized and easy to access.

This space is so clean and the inside seems very secure. My unit is brand new and I’m really happy with the fact that it’s temperature controlled so no worries about mold or mildew. The staff were super helpful and very nice.

From first contact, the staff here were extremely helpful, knowledgeable and accommodating. They helped us find the right unit, offered to reserve one in a specific spot, and emailed me pictures of the facility as we were coming from out of town and couldn't visit. They were quick to explain all their policies and costs up front. The facilities are very clean and relatively new! Overall very happy so far.

Facilities are very clean and have lots of sanitizer to wash dollies and hands. Staff are friendly and helpful. They are also very conveniently located.

From the moment I walked into this place it was clean and organized and stood out. I visited 3-4 storage facilities in the KW area and I wasn’t comfortable leaving my stuff at any of them. This facility was clean, the staff member was very helpful and patient and I’m so happy to have found a clean and temperature controlled storage unit. Would highly recommend.

I put out many requests for info in and around Waterloo, needing space for the next day. Being a Sunday
CanAm were the only company that not only called and emailed me, but waited while we arrived with a very oversized truck!

Nice clean location. Our family has been using a locker since last year, now storing stuff for our daughter until we become empty nesters.

Good clean storage. Competitively priced. In my case, convenient. Staff was helpful and friendly.

Excellent storage, units are in perfect conditions. I booked 5x5 for the price of 4x4 for 12 months (and 2 months free). Client service is exceptional (by phone or in-person). They don't increase rates for long-term rentals or sell useless mandatory insurance. You can buy one if you really need it. If you move your stuff, use orange trolleys, red trolleys are incredibly noisy. And there is no elevator to the second floor, so be ready to move heavy things using stairs if your unit is located on the second floor.

Staff are very friendly and professional, facility kept clean and give you piece of mind knowing that your belongings are safe and sound.

If I could rate for more than 5 stars for services provided by Michael, absolutely I would.

Nice place nice service, everyone who work there is patient and nice. The storage is pretty new, clean and quiet. The entrance are humanize and convenience. There are enough cart to let customer use, that’s so good that we can save more strength when we move something heavy in or out.

I was taken to tour the unit i am renting and the customer service was excellent. It is the MOST reasonably priced rental in the waterloo area I saved $60.a month with Canam compared to the same size elsewhere.

The team at CanAm storage was extremely helpful in viewing and setting up storage at their new facility. Would suggest to any businesses looking for some extra storage and an attentive team on your side.

I used Self Storage during the past but my experience with CanAm is Great.
It's a reasonable price and Highly secure with an Excellent Team, very Professional and friendly.

I was impressed. Brand new facility, everything is in great shape. Very secure. The staff are incredible. Highly recommended!

Friendly, clear, affordable, clean, new, secure, good location, has carts to help move stuff inside the facility, and didn't push for a larger (more expensive) unit even though I noted my concerns about the smaller one perhaps not being large enough (it turned out to be exactly the right size, everything could just fit).

Couldn't be better.
