Quick service if you are ready to take the pain of submitting the claims by yourselves because they will not. I booked an appointment solely because in their registration form they ask if you have an insurance from XYZ company. This is asked so that you can assist customer quickly with billing. Canary asked that solely for their data. 0% concern for after sale service. Will avoid next time.

Be Aware "Insurance" denied the $346 charge even though Canaray and the dentist had me believe they will! Also in my case this test didn't answer any more than what dental X-Ray result shown! Disappointed especially in these inflation expensive times.

The whole visit was a very good experience. All the staff were extremely courteous and made me feel very relaxed and comfortable. I would recommend goin to Canaray in Mississauga for any of your medical needs.

I came in for an xray.
At the entrance, there is a kiosk machine that I was asked to register on. This machine is exposed to anyone in line (there was a person behind me) that can read my personal information and the medical reason I came in for.
Not sure why anyone in the room needs to know who I am and why I came in.
I would appreciate some privacy, thank you.

I will not be coming back.

It was my first experience with Canaray and it was fairly good.
Radiologists Amrita and Mike were very professional and courteous and Heidi was excellent she knew what she was doing I was in and out of there in 20 minutes. Good job!

I was referred to Canaray by my Periodontist.
I didn't book immediately, received a booking reminder approximately a week later.
Booked the appointment on Sunday, August 28 for later that same day 2: 45pm. Both young ladies that I met were wonderful, upbeat, and professional. I believe the techs name is Amrit, she is extremely pleasant. Great experience, 5 stars.

After reading the reviews here and some email issues trying to get my appointment set up I was apprehensive but every single person I spoke with or met on location was friendly and nice. The 4 vs 5 stars is because of accessibility not a reflection of the staff or service provided.
Accessibility Note: There are only two handicap spots for the whole building and they aren't near the main building entrance door (which faces Queen St. /Hwy 10) so there is a bit of a walk but on the level. That said, if you are in a wheelchair the equipment does not go to sitting/chair level and the building washroom is not wheelchair accessible. I'm grateful I didn't need it but heads up if you do.

We went here for my dad's xray appointment. They took us in really quickly but the report will be available after a ridiculous 12 weeks! When asked why so long, they said radiologists are short staffed. But if you pay additional, all of a sudden radiologists appear out of thin air and your report is available very soon. Someone has to look into this. My dad's dental condition is an emergency and we had to pay extra to expedite our report. Exploitation much?

I was sent home shortly after arrival with an empty office near end of day and instructed to call Customer Service to set up a different appoinmtmnet date and time. I'll shop for a different imaging company instead. I had endure more than an hour of traffic from Downtown Toronto to get to the years long construction in front of Canaray building, to be told to come back another day. My referral was not even straight forward. I had no form for a canaray image, so it took me 6 weeks to figure out who to contact to actually set an appointment.that resulted in a 2 week wait. I was warned about the rush fee from my Dentist. I chose to refrain from this. Since I wasted my whole trip and time off work scheduling, I will heed the feedback from others and pursue a different company for this scan service.having the fee being beyond the Insurance industry guide, and Canaray apparently being the 'best' priced provider, this suggests that every CBCT Scan company in Ontario fails to meet the Insurance industry fee guide. Is this the case?

I think it is ridiculous that they ask you to wait over 12 weeks (3 months+) - In fact I am still waiting of my results since Sep-2021 and if recollect they said they can give you result within 10 days if you pay them $25 or so more, after charging over $200! LOL. Cheap and pathetic approach towards their pricing. This was at their Oakville office.

I absolutely adore the service of Canaray Mississauga. My mother has been suffering with pain from a tooth implant and required x-rays for her dental surgeon. Canaray was FAST, efficient, prompt, professional and very friendly. I am so happy with the service they provided my mother. We did pay for the expedited (fast shipment) of her x-rays. They arrived in 10 business days as promised (to the dental surgeon). As far as the price goes, it is fair considering you are getting specialty x-rays that cannot be done anywhere. Unfortunately, such x-rays are not cheap. If you can afford to have the x-rays shipped faster, then pay the extra fee. If you are not suffering too badly and can wait, then do not pay the extra fee - the choice is yours. I would happily go back to Canaray for x-rays, for any member of my family. The location was easy to find, the service was fast and prompt and they delivered what needed to be delivered on time.

In August 2021 I found that I had an infection in a tooth. My dentist gave me a choice to either extract it or consult with a specialist in case they could save it. My endodontist requested to have the images done so that they could evaluate the crack in the tooth. They referred me to Canaray and I made an appointment at the Oakville office on August 10th, 2021.

My visit was pleasant and the radiologist was nice and professional. What I noticed right away, however, was that there was a posted fee for expediting the written report for the images. The radiologist explained these fees to me and said that it was because of the Covid situation. If I could not pay a fee, I was told that the turnaround would be 12 weeks for the report. I refused to pay this additional fee for ethical reasons.

As I was waiting, I had to go through two rounds of antibiotics, pain, and lots of stress and anxiety. When I called at the end of week 11 and I asked if the images would be on time, the person on the phone assured me that in a week they would be available and that they were proceeding as scheduled. I called at week 13 and they advised me that the pictures take 12 to 14 weeks and they would write a deadline in my file so that the written report would arrive by 14 weeks. When my report finally arrived, I found that the tooth needed to be extracted anyway.

Canaray is implementing a tier system into our Canadian healthcare. They will service those that have the money faster and those that cannot pay have to wait. With more people paying for the service, the non-paying customers are bumped down and have to wait longer for this service to be completed.

In the meantime, Canaray is making money from the situation and endangering the health and well-being of patients in Ontario.

Six months ago, Canaray was responding to the reviews with a template that included the following:

“There are currently over 3000 reports in our queue. We have a limited number of available qualified oral radiologists in Canada to make these reports, and we cannot rush the work at the expense of quality. ”

How is this a Covid situation?

“In the past, we used to rush all our cases at no charge, but this became overwhelming for us when we were asked to rush more cases per day than we were capable of doing. So we eventually switched to a system where people had two options:
1) to have their cases reported in chronologic order at a lower price, or
2) if they valued the speed of jumping the queue, they could pay an additional fee. This reduced the number of rush cases that were requested from us to a manageable level. ”

This has not solved the problem, but made the poorer people suffer more as a result.

“Our other alternative would have been to simply raise all the prices substantially for everyone and give everyone fast service. ”

Sounds like it was never an issue with not being able to find qualified oral radiologists in Canada. It was always about the money.

If you would simply raise the prices, some customers might have been eligible for full reimbursement of the charges from their insurance. Those that are not reimbursed would be able to claim it on their taxes as a medical expense. This hidden cost that is currently in place is hurting everyone.

“We are now working 7 days a week to attempt to keep up, and are trying our best to do as much work as possible, but we are only capable of producing a limited amount of work in any given work day at the quality levels that we are satisfied with. ”

Besides asking people to pay more, I don’t think Canaray has any other plan on fixing this ever growing backlog. How long till the customers need to wait for six months?

I am a dentist in the area and have a great working relationship with Canaray. This is a state of the art imaging facility with an excellent team of radiologists. Their backlog is a strictly a testament to the demand for the services they provide. Milan and his team continuously innovate, build and contribute to our profession. I am very thankful for their work.

Why is one start the lowest it can go? This place deserves nothing. It's incredibly overpriced and get this, I did pay their stupid rush fee to get the CT results in 10 days and here I am sitting here MONTHS after I took the images and my dentist is still asking me where they are. What's the point of the rush fee if you won't do what you say you will? To have people waiting for results MONTHS after even when they pay your rush fee on top of the already very expensive and overpriced CT fee is ridiculous and feels like a scam. At this point, not sure if I'll ever get the results.

If you can go somewhere else, please do not hesitate! They are not only overpriced but also they take a minimum of 12 weeks to get your results and even though it is very expensive they have an extra rush fee if you want it in 10 days (why don't they just add it to the price?). After 4 months (16 weeks), here I am still waiting.

Incredibly overpriced! I had to pay $270 for 1 scan of my jaw, and this was not fully covered by my benefits because (and I quote) : "This office charged more than the fee guide under the provincial dental association".

Not sure how they can get away ripping people off like this, but I don't recommend this business.

I had a delightful experience at this clinic today. The staff was friendly and the service was very fast. I think their prices were fair considering the value you get from having a proper scan done.

I was very impressed by the booking system, entirely online, able to reschedule at any time without calling.
The scan itself went as expected, there was a queue before and after I left but they were able to see me at about the scheduled time. The scans are available immediately, the written report and 3d reconstruction were available within the promised timeframe.
Both my dentist and Canaray emphasized many times that expediting the results costs extra so unlike some of the other reviews I was prepared for it.
Looking at the final report and 3d videos it certainly looks like there is some effort involved in generating them, therefore making the price and result timeframes justifiable, at least from my perspective as a customer.

I went here on the recommendation of my endodontist. The only appointment I could find on the weekend ended up being on mother's Day. I live in Vaughan and chose the Mississauga location only coz they're open on weekends and I didn't want to wait to get a day off to get this done.because I was in pain. I also decided to delay visiting my mom on mother's day again.because I was in pain.
When I got there I was told the report will take EIGHT WEEKS. Unless I chose to pay extra to expedite it to 10 days for an extra fee! Well if I could bear the pain I wouldn't go all the way to Mississauga on mother's Day first thing in the morning!
I notice that alot of people have mentioned the extra charge. To each their own, it's a business at the end of the day and I'm not sure if they care about word of mouth coz who's ever going to ask me for a recommendation on a place to get this kind of a dental scan.like no one and never! If dentists recommend the place, they will continue to get clients. I wouldn't chose to go there next time myself and my sister who was with me won't go there either I know.
But my only grudge is, if I were told of the wait time/ extra charge to expedite when I got my email confirmation for the appointment, I would've been expecting it. Not like it happened. I am there in pain on mother's Day all the way from Vaughan to Mississauga and now what am I going to say. "Ok I'll look for another place and get this done another day" or "ok I'll wait for 8 weeks while I will try and not die with the pain! "
I mean at this point I wasn't given much choice. Although I did walk away saying I'll let them know if I wanted to pay extra to expedite, which I ended up calling them for today and paid. Only if I knew what to expect I may have been ok with it or l may have shopped around beforehand and possibly found another place to do the same thing and possibly similar reports (which they seem to swear by!)
Internet is a wonderful tool and there's alot of good things it can be useful for, so I'm sure I could've found another place just as good or even possibly better!

I was unfair with my review.the issue was that i was unaware of the up front cost. (came on a day when i was advised that my dental procedure was not covered by my insurance ]. The staff at canaray were very pleasant and did an excellent job.my issue was with billing not the staff.my dental office was very pleased with the results.overreaction on my part sorry canaray

You have to pay extra to get the report in 10 days. Otherwise report comes in 8 weeks. These days the digital images needs no time to process. All images visible to the radiologist right away & they can report with in few hours. Even the CT & MRI reports comes in 2 days and they are busier then your clinic.
Another way of making money. Feel cheated from them & from our dentist as well. Not Recommended to get the service from them

It is highly overpriced, told by my Instuance company. They said the office charged almost double compared to market price. We should shop around instead of the doctor’ referral. For reference, please send estimate before you go there.

They take money upfront, use simplified coding so there is less paperwork for them. Insurance pay only small fraction of that. Other CT scan offices use diffrent coding with better Insurance cover. Refused to correct it even when faced with proof this scammy practice. Stay away, go to Toronto to diffrent facility. They simply dont care once they have your money.

My mother went in to get a scan done but was told that its their protocol for her to pay extra fees because she has dentures and they did some extra stuff with her dentures. When we asked our dental office, they said they only asked for a scan and it had nothing to do with her dentures. Seems like it's their protocol to scam money out of elderly patients with dentures. It's very unethical!

Had 4pm appointment. Paperwork reviewed at 4: 12. Images taken at 4: 40 pm. Won’t be out of here until at least 5 pm. Average processing time is NOT 20 mins.

Total Rip Off. Paid $25 extra in beginning of November, and take them one whole month to provide the result to our dental center. Try to call them, pone line is dead all the time.

Fast service, drop in, no appointment necessary. Be aware if your referring doctor didn't tell you already that their work may not be covered by OHIP or benefits depending on what you were referred for.

Extremely disappointing error. A woman told my husband he needed a service and my husband told her his denturist didn’t require it but she insisted he complete it. It turns out, he didn’t need it and our insurance didn’t cover it so we had to pay $200 out-of-pocket for a service he didn’t need! This seems like an unethical business practice.

Very unprofessional and very loud. Nobody else needs to know about your personal life and also. The least you can do is cover your mouth when you yawn!
Everyone else was professional and nice and did the job exactly the way they are supposed to do it. That's what they get paid to do.

Did x-ray here, only 2/3 got reimbursed through my dental plan, which should be 100% without deductible.

The insurer told me it is only allowed to reimburse the industry fee guide based on the member’s province from the current year.

So this tells me the price here is 1/3 higher than what suggested by the provincial association.

I highly recommend Canaray for their Services. They write amazing reports that can be understood very simply. You also get your own copy of the X ray scans to view online at home or take it to different dental professionals, saving money and time. They really do try their best:)
