First time trying the restaurant and haven’t stopped since trying the samosas are delicious and the briyani is rich with spices and heat will be tying more when the kitchen reopens in January!

I don’t know what’s going on with this restaurant i went there last month they don’t everything, I ask for rotti box they don’t have it, and I went there again today they don’t have rotti box and they don’t have rotti made and I ask them can you guys make fresh rotti they said it will take 30-45 minutes I’m
Really Confused….

The last two occasions I visited this restaurant there are no longer serving any warm meals only samosas their explanation the kitchen is closed temporarily. This happened months apart as far as I’m concerned I will never return to this restaurant again!

Seriously please rename your Mutton and Chicken Rolls, to Rolls with no identifiable substance inside. Should of held out for some Jamaican Patties.

My new absolutely favourite go-to place for my spicy food cravings. Helpings are generous and food is consistently top notch fresh. Prices are very reasonable. Love this place.

So glad to have a place like Canbe Foods. Very friendly staff, consistently delicious food and affordable as well.

We order 2 kothu roti, extremely bad in taste. I try lot other places this is the worse food I ever get. Simply waste of money, their food taste and quality is just garbage. People plz do not go here.

Bought mutton rolls and medhu vadai this pm. Very poor quality preparation. It seems the rolls have been fried (or even refried) with used oil.

Not sure what happened to this place, it used to be so good. The Canbe name brand used to be associated to one of the best paratha rotis in the GTA. Now it doesn't seem to be like that anymore these days. I went in to grab some rotis and they said it's a 40 min wait. What? How can a place that specializes in roti not have any around. They have this huge advertisement for masala tea. Asked for a masala tea and they have any. What? This was mid day. Sadly won't be coming here. The Markham location is way better than this place.

Mutton kothroti, mutton biriyami, chicken makhni and chili chicken.

All really flavourful and great. I’m a lover of spice and they brought the heat. Highly recommend.

Today I am very hungry, I order two chicken biriyani and 3 chicken samosa. It’s very disappointment because chicken biriyani was smell like raw chicken smell. I think chicken not clean well and mainly rice is not cooked…. Omg very worst experience samosa also raw chicken smell.

This place used to be much better. Not sure what happened but they were out of a few things last time I went.

Tv menus weren't on. Chairs just stacked up in the corner. Fridges empty.

For what it's worth the samosas are still good.

I am very disappointed in the quality the food I had a horrible experience with them, they used to be my favorite store now you guys are not the same, the food quality is so poor, Its actually disgusting. I will never be ordering from you guys again because I'm constantly disappointed your business will be impacted heavily because of the chefs cooking the food. Its truly not worth it had the Kothu the meat mutton in it is really gross. All fat mixed with random peices. Do not recommend save yourself the trip.

Food is ok, quality is not consistent though, clean and spacious. Decent choices of dishes and snacks. Prices are higher now and they also charge for containers! Wow!

I said in a note no peppers and broccali in my noodles but they put that and i said mild but its jo taste in that its my second order and i was so disappointed and should focus on notes too if you gave option of that

If it was possible to give negative star I would. The egg roti had hardly any egg. The veg noodle had no veg. The masala chai was good. Veg samosa is mostly potato filling. Standards have gone down recently, it seems.

Worst kothu roti I have ever had. Ordered 1 mutton and 2 chicken kothu but it didn’t resemble anything like a kothu roti. It was like pulled chicken with no flavor and just a mush or roti and chicken. Will never go there ever again!

Back when I was still in Ajax, I ordered from Canbe on Ubereats a lot. Their portions are generous, prices are cheap, and all their food is either amazing, or is at least on par with other places (i.e. The butter chicken is the same as any other places I've had it).

But their samosas and their eggplant curry? To die for! I still dream about that silky, rich, and savoury caramellized eggplant curry to this day and can't find anywhere in Toronto that makes it the same way. Despite how cheap their samosas are, they are legitimately the best samosas I have ever eaten.

Plus, their service is fantastic. Every time I ordered from them they would give me a separate baggie of treats with a thank you note. I really miss this place) :

Ordered so many items from them. Waste of money! The veg thaalis tasted stale and the veg noodles had only noodles and no vegetables!

Paid money and waited in line but kept being ignored till I had to get some one to look at receipt and then got food. Worst service

I used buy food from other location. All the appetizer we bought were sitting there since morning i guess. I would never buy appetizers here again. The service was still good, both ladies were working hard

The worst establishment. If I could give them no stars I would. Everyone is rude and unprofessional. Don’t open a business if you don’t have customer service skills. The food is decent…the people are terrible. Go to spiceland!

Visited Canbe Foods after a REALLY long time. Inexpensive eatery with excellent portions - bought 5 pieces of medu vada (which weren't really warm/hot and thus didn't taste too well), coconut chutney and chicken biryani. Huge portion for the biryani! Recommended.

Ordered egg plant curry on uber ended up receiving a side of veggie curry to try. Gotta say both the curries were very DELICIOUS.

Most of the time it's a hit and miss guys in this place. Sometimes the sambar (south Indian curry) has too much consistency, sometimes it's too watery and sometimes it just feels perfect. The dosas (sort of a savoury crepe originally from South of India) are actually good most of the times. Overall I like this place, since this is the only place near me where I can get some authentic south Indian dishes. I want them to do better with the quality and consistency. It's good, make it with pride and make it to charm the customers and you will see how your sales go even further up.

Great tasting South Asian food at affordable prices. Friendly staff and service. A favourite. Their samosas are one of a kind. Nowhere else tastes like theirs. Really good.

I would've given them 5 stars but apparently they don't sell Naan here anymore.its a shame. The food is really good here though!

I had ordered few type of snacks and two Kottu rotties with extra gravy and spicy. The snacks were good. But the kottu rotties were not as per ordered and the quality of the kottu was very bad. Rotti was dry, curry did not have flavour. It seems the rotti was very old.
I will not get kottu from this location ever again. And the extra gravy they gave, had so much of fat cubes when I took out of fridge the next day.

WOW! I went there today for the first time! I just got their samosas. They are truly delicious
Although they were very busy the lady at the front was very welcoming and very pleasant
I would definitely go back!
I would percent recommend it to anyone who enjoys samosas as much as I do.

I had this experience with a specific canbee employee, she used to work in Scarborough location now I see her I see her in ajax location every-time I order dosa for pick up, they say 15-20 minutes I understand hence I reach to pick up after 20 minutes she take the payment and makes me wait 20mins more because that's when they start making my food then what the point of ordering it for pick up, please update this in your menu, because no one wants to waste 30 minutes she used to do this in Scarborough hence I moved my breakfast pickup to Ajax and she is doing it here. I have been getting my weekend breakfast since 2014 and this behaviour has just lost you as Canbee customer

I always enjoyed the canbe food. After few months today I went there to buy Chicken Buriyani. The food is not warmed or cold, spoiled chicken, chicken samosas didn't have chicken at all, only potatoes.
During my stay not a single tamil person came to buy food. It's sad. I think the time has come for thrm to close the Ajax shop. Very poor customer service.

Extremely spicy food, meat is NOT served at an appropriate tempreture & was smelly (going bad smell). Biryani does not have enjoyable flavours.won't buy again. Flavour food!

They opened after the Pandemic.all prices has gone up. Bought a mutton biriyani and it was not good as before.only couple of mutton pieces.most of the pieces were just big bones.no egg.they dont keep the food in display anymore, so we cant really see how good the food is without ordering.

Same thing with mutton kottu.reduced the size of the portion.they put very little amout of mutton.i have be going to Canbe for more than 5 years. Now i'm very dissapointed. I wouldnt go there again.i will make a far better kottu at home.

Picked up masala Dosa and Vadas from Canbe and really liked the food. The masala inside the dosa was well spiced and flavorful! The chutneys were different compared to the style I'm use to as a south Indian but I really loved the change and flavor! The vadas were yum n crispy!
There sambar was loaded with veggies and I enjoyed eating the left over sambar with homemade rice and ghee later:)

Currently no cooked dishes ready for pick up. All must be pre-ordered or you have to wait. But lots of snacks for immediate pick up and of course string hoppers.

They should change their name to Canbe Potatoes. All of the fillings in their rolls, samosas, patties are 100% potato. Want a mutton roll? Nah fam, its gonna be a potato roll. Want a Chicken Samosa? Nah fam its a potato samosa. I ordered 20 chicken samosas, and 10 mutton rolls.none of them had any chicken or mutton. This place is an embarrassment to indian/sri lankan food. P. S skinny lady who works behind the counter is really pushy

Great spot to get food when in a hurry. Their service is quick, prices are convenient, good mood. Would recommend to others
