The string hoppers do not come with the sauce. Just string hoppers and desicated coconut. Came here specifically because they were supposed to do the best sauce with string hoppers. Very disappointed.

People work hard for good food and peaceful sleep.

I was so hungry and on my way I thought to grab some snacks.

Snacks were terrible, I ended up throwing it out fully.

Methu vada was supposedly soft but it was rock hard like a stone. You must have fried the old vadai twice

Fish cutlet was made of rotten fish. Couldn't eat at all. Veggie rolls were hard too and hardly any vegetables

Providing at least reasonably good food should be an ethical standard for a restaurant. Please don't treat as just business and profits.

Best samosa I’ve ever had. Will definitely go back. I suggest getting frozen ones to keep for busy days.

Great selection of South Asian snacks, desserts, and meals. Tends to be on the spicier side so wouldn't recommend for those who don't like as much heat.

Staff was excellent. But their frying oil taste like engine oil. Looks like they haven't changed their frying oil in many months. Charge more money but change your burnt oil. Samosa filling was tasty but oil smells and tastes bad.

Tried the veggies samosa for the first time from this place. The price and taste were really good and would go back to try other ones.

I would like to thank Canbe foods for quality, low rates and hospitality they provide.
I had Dal vadai, Medu vada, Mutton roll.
It was all under $8 Canadian.
Taste was authentic, front staff was patient and helpful.
I look forward to visit them soon.

My favorite on the go grab place for evening snacks. It's a busy place and they're always filling in the trays with freshly fried appetizers. & prepared foods.
My favorite is Fish cutlet, chicken roll, samosa. Last week tried their chicken Kathu roti and Mutton biriyani- both taste really good. Kathu roti they prepare fresh on order. It was something new I tried and loved it, awesome!

The renovated place looks great, and the service is fast and friendly.

Expect the food to be spicy (even the butter chicken). I wish they had dishes with different levels of spiciness.

Biryani is excellent. Definitely try their big selection of great food.

Best, less expensive and flavourful snacks. Easy to grab snacks but not an all time grab. This food is too spicy and acidic for my taste.

Was at the location today September 26th, 2021 at 1: 51pm. Spent about $80 on food, got home and the motton kothu Roti has no mutton in it.

The samosas there are cheap and delicious. The veggie samosas are also spicy to those of us who don't have a spice tolerance so you might want to go with the chicken instead which are $0.60 each and aren't as spicy but very good.

Ordered 3 kothu rotis, It was one of the worst kothu rotis i had in my life. Not sure how they are still in business with such low quality food.

Another Sri Lankan take out spot, they have good kothu roti. And the finger foods are decent as well

The place is neat. Has got free parking as well. I bought vege samosa and chicken samosa because I saw they advertised that it's the best samosa. Well to my dismay it's not up to the hype created. The size is smaller than what you can expect compared to what you just have had in India. The taste of chicken samosa will not give you chicken taste, at least did not for me since I found that it was made into paste and then filled inside. The vege samosa is okay okay, like it's better than the chicken. So with this experience, I can expect the mutton samosa to be of a similar taste. They have other items too which I believe could be better than this hyped item. Might go there for the peda and other stuffs.

We stopped by this place seeing the promo board saying best samosa in Toronto. We bought different samosas, rolls, cutlets and ras malai to try and to our disappointment everything was bad. Samosas were not even close to good and they claim it to be the best. Ras malai had a sticky stuff in it and seeing that it was hard to try it. Not recommended at all for the people who know the real taste.

Best samosa place in the city! Amazing veggie Biryani. Reasonable prices with very polite staff. Must try if you haven't so far!

This place is amazing.the food was so fresh and tasty and authentic. We ordered dosa, and while waiting we ordered so much more as appetizers. Loved this place and this will be our go-to place for South Indian food.

The worst sambar I ever had. They were low in stock I think, that is why the sambar and chutney were dilute. If you don't have enough quantity don't mess up with the quality. Also, the customer service wasn't good as I called continuously for 15 mins to place phone order but they did not pick up. When I arrived the phone was just ringing and they weren't even bothered. Although the food is usually good but highly disappointed this time.

I just walked out of the restaurant and cancelled my order. No one is wearing mask in the kitchen, I could clearly see. It is so disappointing to see that even in such crisis they dont care for the people's health and safety. I will definitely report this to Toronto Public Health.

Highly recommend if you like to experience the authentic flavors of Sri Lanka. I always get the chicken kottu, chillie chicken and Sri Lankan short eats.

Their hot table selection will blow you away because of it's sheer variety and breathtaking smells! I ate their chicken kottu and it was very good, though it wasn't spicy even though I asked for extra spicy. I'll be returning to try all the other food they serve - from the mutton biriyani to the chilli chicken.

This place has some of the best value meals I've ever seen. The food is incredible, the staff are awesome, and the prices are so low it's crazy. If you need a place to eat on the cheap, this place offers the best experience and food that I've ever seen.

I visit this place just for their veg samosas and they havnt disappointed me ever. Always hot and fresh. Today thought of trying mendu vada and they were ok in taste.

Bought Ras malai today.asked them if it was fresh and they said it is. When I opened it at home it was smelling bad and tasted sour! The milk was frothy and watery! Tried calling the store and Noone answered either!

We have been going to Canbe for 4-5 years now. Their Vegetable Samosas are the best ones ever for such a reasonable price. We always grab their salty snacks and sweets from time to time as well. Even during covid, while the food quality and taste is dropping everywhere, Canbe maintained their taste, so I have to give them 5 stars for it.
Their food (butter chicken, etc.) can be VERY VERY spicy, so if you're a mild food lover like me, you will find the food extremely spicy. Ask them about the spice level before buying anything.

I went their for the first time today. Had chicken somosa and fish cutlet. Both are very good and fresh. In fact, best chicken somosa I have had in Toronto for less than $1. I also bought something called "Milk Fry". Oh my Goodness, this tastes so damn good, Incredible. It is basically fried cheese curd, i guess.

It's newly renovated and I have only tried the Veggie Samosas, and believe me they are hot and delicious always. It has lot of Parking and wheel chair friendly. The staff is very courteous and the place is very clean. Remember it is a take out joint with no place to sit and eat.

Perfect place for grabbing a quick bite. Been going to this place from last 10 years and still taste the same. You will fall in love with their Veg/Non-Veg Samosas, Roti, Rolls & Biryanis and 100s of other items from their menu. It's a 5-Starrer for me.

Amazing quality food for a great price. No wonder even the local canadians like take aways from here so much. I only wish they open a restaurant soon.

Large portions for a really good price. Their chicken Biryani, mutton kothu roti, and vegetarian samosas are so delicious.

A good Srilankan eatery with no dining options. If you are a strict vegetarian then your options for a meal during weekdays are limited. Weekends you get.veg. Briyani with a gravy option on the side and call them upfront and book yours. Their veg briyans are gone mostly by 2 pm. I liked their chickpea salad. If you are a sweet lover try the Rasamalai available in their refrigerators. Other than that I liked the veg rolls but not their spring rolls which is kind of sweet.

Meat lovers you have great options especially their chicken and mutton briyani fly fast.

There is a long line ups in the weekend but they move fast.

Food tastes good. Ordered take out, got a 1 veggie 1 meat with rice or noodles combo for $9. Asked her to switch my rice for roti and I was told no that cannot happen. Was not given cutlery with take out. I can get 3 veggies and 1 meat with 2roti or rice or noodles for $6.79 at Babu’s catering.

Nicely renovated location but quite disappointing portions for the price. My sister was craving fish curry and we were served less than a tablespoon of fish flakes.

I wasn't happy with their service last week. The worker was rude and showed attitudes. On top of that the food tasted weird. I am preventing this place for the best

We love this place it's amazing though when it was smaller the taste of the food was much better. Even the samosas have changed. Still good but something is missing. Also the ventilation could be better, you walk in and the smell is awesome but after a while, the smell of food permeates your entire body. I walk out and i fully smell like food.

This is my regular take out place. They have wide varieties of India food. Only thing that draws me back is they are not spicy.they are missing the essence of Indian species, may be they make the food considering everyone who doesn't eat spice at all

Tasty food! Samosas are very reasonably priced, but apparently they don't offer sauces anymore? WTH? That's like fries with no ketchup.

This place is a very clean and large scale takeout spot. Great curries, roti, fried rolls, samosas, etc. They also offer frozen versions of some of the foods. Great spot worth checking out!

Authentic Sri Lankan cuisine. Great place for Indian food take out. Good and many choices of cooked curries, somosa, nasi bryrani and vegetarian dishes too. Also Indians snacks and Frozen roti Parata. Finally price is right. Enjoy

This place is for South Asian food. Compared to other South Asian stores, this place is so clean and excellent customer service.

We get the samosas delivered every month to our local school where I volunteer to hand out snacks.

If they could be delivered every day my life would be complete.

I usually have about 7-8 samosas myself in the morning.

I've tried others. Nobody can hold a candle to these. Or a samosa.

THe rolls are not full of meat and it sucked. It was burnt. Ha ha I am not coming here any more. My family complained about it too. They told me to go to other tamil stores in Markham. Quality matters.
