Had my wedding party at this hall and it was amazing. Best day of my life because I'm marrying my best friend, but also the banquet hall and their service helped a lot with the event. They are one of the most accommodating banquet owners I've dealt with during my research for a place for my wedding. The day went exactly as planned, food served warm and with specific accommodations to guests. The dessert table was more than what we had in mind. It was actually a hot topic after the party! Overall great experience with Candles Banquet Hall!

My husband and I had our wedding ceremony and reception here at the end of 2023 and to say the event went smoothly was an understatement! Everyone always says something will always go wrong but nothing truly went wrong thanks to Candles.

Communication: Easily reached and all inquiries answered within a business day.
Food: Amazing! Best banquet food, wide variety and worked around allergies/food restrictions.
Staff: Attentive and responsive. Didn’t take our food away before we finished it)
Open Bar: Got our moneys worth! Bartender kept the drinks coming.
Preferred Vendor: Would highly recommend Shaheen for event design and coordination!
Decor: Modern, newly updated. No carpet!

Our primary contact for the hall was Shaz. He was always attentive and responsive. We primarily contacted through email and he responded often within the hour and answered each and every inquiry we had. He gave us a breakdown of every single thing we paid for and made sure we were happy with everything.

The food was one of the best banquet hall food we’ve ever had. All of our guests still rave about how good it was! We were able to bring our own dishes as well to incorporate our own culture into the event. We did buffet and they made sure the food was always warm and there was enough for people to go for thirds!

We worked with their preferred vendor, Mint by Shaheen for both design and coordination for the event. Because she was their preferred vendor, we had every single detail triple checked: one by us, two by Shaz, and three by Shaheen. She worked with Shaz to make our event seamless. If I had another big event, I would work with her with no hesitation. She contacted all our vendors and kept us in the loop with everything; she took care of things we didn’t even consider. She truly took away all our stress the last few weeks before our wedding.

We worked with Shaz and Shaheen because we didn’t want to be “working” at our wedding. They really took care of everything and made sure we enjoyed the event. I recommend Candles to anyone and everyone who is planning a big event!

I attended a Muzz Event on 23 December. Banquet Hall is kinda hidden. I wish there were a Billboard written Candles Banquet Hall roadside at the entrance. When I reached I thought Candles Banquet Hall didn't have enough parking; however, when I went back to the banquet hall there was plenty of parking. The staff were friendly. Enough space to hold 500 people. Over all I had a good experience. Those problems I have written are minor.

Wish I had more photos to share but we are awaiting pictures from our photographer. Recently had our wedding at candles and it was a great experience. Both shaheen and Mohammed went over and beyond to accommodate us and made a very stressful experience, much more seamless. The decor was absolutely beautiful and exceeded my expectations. They both answered any questions we had very quickly. Would recommend to anyone thinking about choosing this as their venue.

Had my wedding here recently and Alhamdulillah everything went spectacularly! The Candles team are real professionals with great taste and made sure the event was exceptional from start to finish. I would definitely recommend this venue to everyone in the future!

We recently had our wedding reception at Candles Banquet Hall, and it was a amazing, stressless experience overall. Everything was well taken care of, food was great, excellent with communication. Shaheen did a amazing job with the decor, she helped us through the decor planning, gave us many options to choose from while staying in budget. She really took care of every little detail I had mentioned off my head for the decor. It was an absolute pleasure working with her! Must add on how honestly they run the business, we had something added on there and later decided not to go through with it, they let us know that they had taken the charge off the bill and we were so grateful.

I had a wonderful experience with the Candles Banquet Hall team when organizing a party at the venue. I want to especially give thanks to Shaheen who went above and beyond with the decor at the venue. She is passionate about what she does and always gave her honest opinion on what would look best for our needs. I even received many compliments from family and friends afterwards. I highly recommend asking for her in order to facilitate a seamless decor experience with the rest of your venue needs.

The food was not upto the mark the meat served was frozen and not cooked properly by the time my event was done I didn’t eat a single bite as things were wrapped up would rate 1.5/5
The Bartender seemed was working forcefully and had presented all the alcohol like buffet was not able to make a shot glass and was far from making a cocktail 0/5
All the feedbacks were taken from guests and few things were noticed by me and my family as well!

My sister had her wedding a couple of weeks ago, and all I can say is that we had an amazing experience with Candles Banquet Hall. Ahmed was easy to talk to, and his sister, Shaheen, did an amazing job decorating the place. The food is tasty. Our guests also enjoyed it! Keep up the good work, Candles! We viewed quite a few venues and decided to go with Candles which actually was the last on our list to view! We had our reception here yesterday and most definitely were very happy with everything. Food was great. The Team we worked with are amazing. Staff on the day of event were polite and helpful. And the venue was decorated absolutely beautifully. All our guests left with Fab remarks of how amazing everything looked! Thank you Candles -Shaz and Shaheen!

Very conveniently located place for parties and functions with free parking facilities.
They have great selection of Desi and Continental food.

The owner is unprofessional and doesn't know how to talk to people. Id put someone else who knows how to talk to deal with potential customers.

Kept changing prices up on us when we first talked and then sent a contract with inflated prices.

Goodluck to anyone who books here.dont think youd want to deal with someone like that on your wedding day.just saying.

Working with this venue was soo easy and great! The food was amazing, guests were talking about how great the evening was from the decor to the venue to the food and how lovely it was it was everything we asked for and MORE! An unforgettable and memorable night everyone will not forget! Enjoyed working with them for our engagement party!

Very poor with their customer service. We had booked to make an event here and the event date was within3 weeks of us booking the hall. Unfortunately a family member was severely sick and so we could not go further with the event. They harrased us and threatened us so we pay $2500 or else their lawyer will go to court. (This had happened before we went on lock down by a month! However they were not understanding of the situation at all.) Honestly, worst customer service ever. I currently tell all my friends to avoid them.

My wife and I booked this hall for our special day. The management were AMAZING, honestly we were a bit worried things wouldn't go smoothly but everything worked out so well. The food was incredible. Everyone really loved the venue and I'm so happy we chose this place:)

I recently just hosted an engagement party at Candles banquet hall and they did an amazing job. The building has been renovated and it looks absolutely stunning. Coming from a Punjabi background, the food was amazing. The overall customer service from Mohammad was very professional and he was quick to reply for any concerns! We opted for the in house decor done by Shaheen and she went above and beyond. I would highly recommend this Banquet Hall for anyone’s future events.

Cute place to have a wedding reception! Went there for a wedding of 180 and there was ample space ro feel safe.

Excellent place to hold weddings with participations of 100 to 300 guests. Beautifully decorated place with excellent service. Best event management with skilled staff. Decoration team works flawlessly. Food is very good ten numbers to appetizers.

The team at Candles was amazing to deal with! We hosted our Mehndi here, and everyone we interacted with was super friendly and helpful. The front office was very responsive whenever we called them, and went above and beyond in answering our questions and giving us other vendor recommendations. Shaheen, who leads the in-house decor team, was also fantastic - she pulled together our whole decor with minimal guidance and gave great ideas leading up to the event. We'd definitely recommend the entire team at Candles, they took all the stress of planning away from us and helped us just enjoy our day!

I had an amazing experience with them. It was a last minute thing, but they were kind enough to accommodate us. Not only that, they personally supervised it to our liking. The guests loved the food and decor.

Had my wedding here last weekend. Everything went smooth Shaz the owner was excellent to deal with. We had some last minute planning which was on our part. Shaz accomedated everything. Beautiful Venue as well. All my guests kept telling me how great the food was. Which everything tasted amazing. I wish I knew the name of the bartender we had for the night but she did an amazing job. Took care of all my guests and even came up to the grooms table when the bar was closed and made sure my Wife and I were taken care of. Everything went smoothly and I had no added stress on the day of our wedding. Already recommended this venue to a couple other friends that are getting married. Thanks a lot Shaz for a great day!

Wow! What can I say! I had my wedding last month and it was such a beautiful experience. We started wedding planning in Oct of 2021 and Shaz was a great help from the start until the day of the wedding. Everything was just perfect! Thank you Candles Banquet Hall for making our wedding a beautiful one. The food was great, the venue was clean and our guests loved every moment of it.

Had my sisters event here two weeks ago. We decided to have the event here after a relatives suggestion who mentioned the food is good. Food was good but the owner was awful. Firstly pre-event dealing with the owner was a complete nightmare. We requested to change the menu and got an earful. On the day of the event the owner harassed the decor people which was off putting. When it was time to serve food the owner stood next to the dishes forcing people to take food. Which made the whole experience very uncomfortable. We requested the dessert items to be replenished that request was never completed. Cherry on the top however was that there was a lot of left over food as our guests were significantly less then what we expected. We asked if we could take the left overs with us to which the owner very aggressively and rudely denied the request saying it’s not policy to give out food. Upon questioning what will they do with this chunk of food we received no reply. There was nothing in the contract saying leftovers won’t be allowed to be taken back. They can’t legally serve this food again which means they will waste the remaining food which is a shame! Food could have been utilized by the family the next day I mean after all it was paid by them. I’d say if you are looking for added stress on your day go with this banquet hall! They’ll make sure to keep you on your toes for your big day!

Edit: Per owners comment the food is distributed to a local charity something they completed forgot to mentioned multiple times when they were asked about this at the event. I guess you forgot this then:) Appreciate your courteous reply shows the hospitality management at the banquet clearly!

Banquet Hall looks to save costs vs throwing the best event possible. Desserts were held up until guests left when banquet hall was instructed to serve well before.

I'm leaving this 5 star and I will add another 5 start above it for the candles banquet hall.
I was amazed when I saw the fabulous unbelievable place like this banquet hall! Was amazing service amazing food everything was great in there and I will go back in there to do my parties.

Such great experience, Candles is the best place to celebrate your events. Best food I have over tried. A big Thank you for Mr. Ahmed and Mrs. Shaheen for the amazing work and for make my sister wedding special night.

Hosted my sisters Shendi event here, and it turned out fabulous, great Management by Brother Muhamed and amazing decor by Shaheen. Everything was perfect as we planned and hoped. Will definitely recommend this place for events as it has everything under one roof and also superb location.

If you want to know why you shouldn't book with these guys ever again, read the most horrendous experience we had below in may 2022.

One of the worst management team I have dealt with who lack professionalism. They single handedly ruined a wedding and a reception on the same day.

Had our guests waiting 45minutes outside the hall on the road, because "they were running 10minutes late" to open the hall in time. Reasons why these guys don't deserve any future business and a chance to play with people's emotions.
1) late hall opening by 45minutes and having your loved ones wait outside and bride and grooms family crying of embarrassment
2) when they do open, there is 0 breakfast ready, 1 person running around in the kitchen trying to set up tables for food and no coffee or tea for 2 hours after that
3) continues to disappoint by messing up the only traditional sweet dish that was supposed to be placed on a table before everyone starts to eat.
4) 0 regrets about the all this and only thing he says is im sorry it happens. So we make sure before leaving that hall should be ready and no more mishaps for the evening reception party.

We go in, everything looks good right.then comes time for dinner.

5) THE ONLY VEGETARIAN DISH THAT WAS REQUESTED IN THE MENU IS MISSING! HE PUT OUT THE SAME VEGETABLE DISH FROM THE MORNING WHICH NO ONE ENJOYED AND WAS LEFTOVER IN THE EVENING DINNER. WHY THE BOLD WORDINGS? BECAUSE THIS GUY NAME SHAAD GOES YOU GUYS ARE MAKING THIS BIG DEAL FOR "ONE VEGETARIAN DISH AND LAUGHS IN FRONT OF OUR GUESTS"

THAT ONE VEGETARIAN DISH WAS FOR THE 75 OUT OF 90 PEOPLE WHO DO NOT EAT MEAT!

Worst experience and embarassment for the bride and grooms families and never again would i recommended any indian wedding to be hosted with these guys. And if you do make a mistake or have made a mistake of signing up, i recommend you guys have 10 designated persons to ensure everything in your itinerary is as expected for each and every little plan.

We had an engagement party at CBH on a saturday night. The family run business aspect of this hall made it a one-stop-shop for all our needs. Whether it came to decor, food, hall facility etc.it was really easy to find how the whole picture would come to fruition. We had the south indian menu and it was phenomenal- guests loved it! Overall, would recommend CBH to any future event!

I recently had a small family get together. The staff are extremely courteous and extremely accommodative on the day of the event.
Their halls are recently renovated and one of the best looking party halls in the city (we went with candles after looking at more than 5 party halls).
The food was amazing. Everything we had was really good and the guests could not stop raving about it.
The owners are extremely friendly and very responsive.

I would recommend this hall strictly based on our experience with Shaz, he’s a man of his word and what he says he delivers. That’s tough to find in this industry. Much appreciated Shaz, Merina and Atif

Amazing people very helpful esp during the pandemic. Services were on point had no issues for my wedding no complaints. My family and friends all loved the hall as well and enjoyed lots. Decor was also done by the hall and the lady did an amazing job according to my wife and family demands. Keep up the good work. Special thanks to Shaz.

If I could give them more than 5 stars, I honestly would. I visited over 15 banquet halls to do my engagement party in, and by a long mile, Candles was the best option. Their prices were reasonable and affordable, the staff was super friendly (shout out to Shehryar), the decor of the hall was absolutely gorgeous and the food.so delicious! Everything was organized and CLEAN! I had booked half the hall for my party, and there was another party happening at the same time. I was worried the walls wouldn't be sound proof. However, even though the other party's music was loud, we couldn't hear a thing! I would strongly recommend this hall to anyone who is looking for a good banquet hall! Thank you Candles for giving me a night I will never forget!

We had a Mehndi party at this venue back in July 9th 2016. They made sure we had the whole facility to ourselves! The staff were fabulous. I brought in decorations ahead of time for tables and the staff assembled everything to make sure our event went off without any problems! It was also so reasonably priced, beautiful facility and it made this choice of venue an easy one for us! If you are wondering about the food, don’t worry! They gave us a take out meal to taste all the selections ahead of time for the buffet before the event. I was so pleased with everything. I hope I can do another event here again in the future!

Excellent, my words would not be sufficient to cover up the the perfection of the management and staff.
All SOPs were followed in regards to the COVID-19 precautions.

Guests were served twice with light appetizers, all the guest were served with a bag containing excellent food, sufficient for one person, to be consumed at their residence, this was due to restricted eating with in the facility.

I would gladly recommend this facility to have weddings and other parties.

We held a small, Covid-style wedding at Candles in early September. Everything was done safely, and it was super easy and fun working with Shaheen and her family. The food was delicious and decorations beautiful. We’ve held many family functions at Candles over the years and there’s a reason we keep going back - because they’re the best!

Absolutely fantastic experience dealing with candles Hall. Shaz is an amazing human being who puts forward your needs and make sure to go extra mile to help. I am very glad I got married at this hall.

They are the best banquet Hall in GTA! Not just for the hall but everything that they do is unreal. Since last year when I booked with Shaz and CBH they have been exceptionally warm and welcoming. They have been so helpful throughout the whole process. They put their heart in this business and it shows.
Considering Covid, these guys went above and beyond following the correct protocols and measures for COVID-19.

Next: Food is unreal. I have never had better food in a banquet hall! I mean it when I say this. Every guest that attended the reception was so impressed and happy with the food.

Lastly, Big shoutout to Shaheen for the decor. She was so helpful throughout and her decor was so pretty and elegant. Just how she promised.

My wife and i just had our wedding at Candles Banquet Hall on Oct 4,2020. Words cannot express the service provided by the management team and staff. The price was amazing for the food and service provided. This is by far the best Banquet hall team i have ever come across. Planning a wedding in this Covid time is tough. Our quest list was cut into half when the Ontario government decided to implement further restrictions on banquet halls due to the recent surge in covid case. The staff made sure the quests adhere to social distance protocols and sanitizers were available for all quests. The staff and management team at the hall swiftly improvised and work with my wife and i in a coordinated effort to make our Wedding a successful day. Shaz and Shaheen, my wife and i cannot thank you enough. You are what i call an example of professionalism. You guided my wife and I every step of the way and coordinated amazingly with our wedding coordinator. The food was so good i really wanted to take some of the left overs home. The hall is beautiful and the support staff are absolutely amazing to work with. The decorations oh my, my, my, excellent and beautiful, you did an amazing job Shaheen. I will share this wonderful experience with the members of my community and make sure I broadcast your exceptional professionalism to everyone i come across that is looking for a banquet hall to host an event. Additionally, what an amazing day for my wife and I to hear Shaz's wife delivered a baby boy on our wedding day.

Great atmosphere. It is absolutely beautiful In the hall and the washrooms were super clean. The only downfall which is a major one for me is parking. There wasn't much available due to the other businesses around the plaza

Hosted an event early December, was great food was wonderful! Could use updated bridal rooms but when we asked for more heat they gladly brought an extra heater there, very accommodating would do an event here again!

Shaz and his family run the place and they are extremely polite, hospitable and willing to work with you. The venue looks gorgeous but if you choose Shaheen as your decorator, she enhances the look of the venue. She works with you and gives you great suggestions. The food is just delicious. And I was surprised at the end of the event Shaz's mom even had the left overs packed for us. I would highly suggest this place to anyone.
