Went out on Saturday night, they were quite busy but found us a table in the back by the patio.
Very friendly server, food was quite good.
Fish and chips, burger and 2 of our friends had the "GRAN'S BEEF STEW" overall Great taste and portions are large.

First time visiting this restaurant. It was almost an hour from the time we ordered our meals until they arrived. We were in no particular hurry, so all good. There was a one man band who was quite entertaining. All five of us enjoyed our meals and nobody left hungry. I would recommend this place and will probable return if in the area.

I am amending this review out of respect for the family of one of the parties involved.

Although my partner and I planned our whole day waiting for trivia night and dinner, we were never even served and the staff was beyond rude.

The staff here are so slow; it takes an hour just to get a drink and almost twice as long for them to make something as simple as a salad.

We had our four month old son with us, and the manager actually threatened me and my baby when I asked why we weren’t getting any service.

We left without any apologies (from the staff), and I will never go back here again.

We were visiting from Toronto; if you are visiting Lakefield, I highly recommend you go for dinner anywhere else but this terrible place.

The ice cream at Stuffed was a lot of fun. Good flavors. Excellent service and good prices.

Fantastic place. Great food and atmosphere, wonderful staff and clients. Only gripe is it isn't closer! Fun trivia on Wednesday nights. Looking forward to going again and working through more of their menu!

Showed up with 19 Kayakers with very little notice, and our amazing waitress took care of everyone's needs with ease. She's a treasure.

We were visiting from out of town and came across this nice pub in the Lakefield area. The patio and indoor seats fill up quick during main times to eat. Be sure to make an RSVP. At the time of our visit, the indoor dining was completely booked out by two parties who made RSVP ahead of time. For all patrons, it would be nice to have signage to communicate this on the door out in front. Otherwise, food and service were great!

Came for an early dinner, this was our first visit and we won't be coming back. It was a pub food menu, it was good and came out in a timely manner. Our issue, we ordered the curry chicken wings and asked for a little extra heat. Some chili flakes were added to the sauce to spice up the wings. When the bill came there was an upcharge for the extra heat. We discussed the matter with the server who was very friendly, and stated it was the management's policy to upcharge for any alterations including some chilli flakes.

The service is painfully long. We had to wait forever before we got our entree. My wife had a hair in her salad. The service is always slow here but today was exceptionally bad. They really should notify customers before seating them the service will be slow. Even though the food is good I really will not return after the service today.

Waited about 45 minutes for our drinks and another 35 minutes for our food. Food was excellent though. Service not so good.

Terrible customer service. Our waitress forgot to put our appetizer in as a starter so it came with our entrées. Management and the owner said since we ate it, we would have to pay for it. My husband fought until they took the appetizer off the bill but they lost 2 repeat customers who normally spend $100+ each time over a $15 appetizer that had to be thrown out anyway as soon as it was put on our table. The manager also told us if we didn't pay for it, it would be taken out of the waitress' pay. This is terrible business practice.
I'm in Management and this was handled in the worst way. Quality of food and service has very much gone downhill.

The service and food was great. Very friendly staff, didn't mind bringing a dog on the patio and brought her some water.

Great little gem in the "downtown" Greeted at the door as soon as we arrived, and seated right away. They were busy with the lunchtime crowd but our server was fast and really friendly. Fish and Chips were great! Really crunchy batter and a huge portion. Next time we'll hit the patio as it was a cool windy rainy day.

Amazing food with a great atmosphere! Staff were really friendly and professional. Would definitely recommend for anyone visiting town. Just don't turn left before the restaurant

Order takeout yesterday and unfortunately was very disappointed when we got home and opened our food. The poutine I got was very sparse on cheese but the flavor of the gravy was good. The greek salad I got was 90% lettuce with barely any other ingredients. Absolutely no feta cheese was used. This was not a meal sized restaurant quality salad worth $12.

Great pub with good food and excellent service! They also have a cozy, quiet outdoor space in the back.

My husband and grandson had the burgers and said they were excellent. I had the nachos with Chicken. Not so great. Skimped on the cheese and the chicken was very dry. Would have a burger the next time. Had a salsa that was ground very fine. Could not tell what was in it. I like salsa to be chunky.

Great service, really delicious food. Our server Keira was very welcoming, friendly and knowledgeable. Will definitely return!

This review is well overdue. My family has been coming here almost every friday since they opened. You will not find better food, better atmosphere or better people anywhere. The owners care deeply for their community, staff and customers which shows in everything they do. The food is amazing and the beer selection will appeal to all tastes. The bonus is getting icecream next door at Stuff'd after our meal. Highly recommend and if you haven't tried coming here yet you are missing out!

Great food, fast service, and good deals. I felt very safe with their clear and firm covid-19 policies. Loved the atmosphere. Looking forward to the next time we drive through!

Delicious, affordable meal (assortment of tacos) and good selection of craft beer (our waitress was very knowledgeable about describing beers - and offered samples to try - of the day (Flying Monkeys when we visited).

Service was excellent. Big Ben burger with Ceasor salad and Queen Lizzy chicken and Goat salmon salad was outstanding. Patio was cozy. Most definitely coming back.

The draft beer is flat here and has been for some time and nobody is doing anything about it. Guess because it's cheap people aren t saying anything, but really it's not that cheap.

The food is a 10/10, especially Taco Tuesdays! And the service 11/10. The nicest people you can meet! If you are visiting the beautiful town of Lakefield, don't miss out on this nice pub with such a warm atmosphere and great patio!

Customer service is a joke. I am new in the area and decided to try this place out. They belittled and yelled at customers in front of me. Didnt even try anything and I will NEVER be back here ever again.

They handled COVID guidelines amazingly! The tent area outside is gorgeous and our server Levi was super friendly and awesome. I ordered their pulled pork sandwich with a poutine and the food came quickly, the pork was tender and the poutine was fantastic. I highly recommend eating here.

Pretentious, mightier than thou attitude.yes, they employ a few people in the area, and are going through struggles.we all are and we all employ people- you are not special.it’s a shame, I loved this place when they first opened- they had a great cheese/meat appetizer that slowly dwindled in quantity and quality, and craft beers that turned stranger and stranger over time.also belittled a former establishment at every opportunity just because they were competition.sad.

Went in on a weekday. Mid-afternoon. Great Covid precautions. Friendly greeting at door. I had the crab cakes. Delicious. Fries were on point and a couple of drafts. Staff were attentive but not hovering. Will go there again.

I went there once before Covid and was not impressed. It took a very long time to be served and the food was mediocre. I decided to try take-out and was there a few days ago to pick up my order and witnessed a staff member encouraging dine-in customers to lie on the form regarding covid restrictions. I saw one person walking around with no mask on. We are in the red zone. I hope they are inspected by Public Health as this is clearly not a safe environment. I will not be returning.

Burger was on point. Staff was helpful and friendly. Beer selection has a great variety. Nice atmosphere and a rustic theme. Even if it's out of your way, it is absolutely worth the detour.

Excellent food and a warm atmoshpere. Friendly staff, good music and a variety of drinks round out the experience. Wednesday Trivia nights are a favourite. Covid-19 spacing and protection are well set up.

Great restaurant in a small town of Lakefield just about 20 minutes outside the city of Peterborough. Pub style menu very good food And very good service

Nice selection, great location. Drinks were VERY expensive but they have an excellent selection of beers, local and craft with a rotating tap of new features. Great food.

Had the big ben burger, so very pleasantly surprised! One of the best burgers I've had in a long while. Fries were crispy and delicious. We will be back! Oh and super friendly staff.

A perfectly solid bar/pub. The food was pretty good, and the service was great.

We were there with our 4 month old baby (Yeah yeah. We're those kinda people) and they were very friendly and able to get us seated and served quickly.

The food is SO scrumptious! Nutty goat salad was beyond expectations, and the REAL sweet potatoes fries are out of this world! Plan on making several trips back! Service was 10/10! Everyone's plate looked amazing! Fantastic restaurant!

Food was good but nothing special. Service was lacking.
Was told 20 minute wait for table, waited 40 minutes and was told they called us which we never recieved the call. We had been standing out side the doors and no one bothered to check. Waited over an hour for our food. The kitchen lost the next table's orders. It is not family friendly. They have absolutely no diaper change station and I was told to go next store. Next store seemed annoyed even though both seem to be owned by the same people. By the time I got back to the table our food had finally been delivered but mine was cold since I had to leave just to change my son's diaper. After wolfing down our food I ended up leaving my husband to pay so I could calm down my son because we had now been there for over 2 hours. So much for a peaceful lunch out.

Friendly, cozy and great service. Food offerings are wide and (finally) traditional pub fare. Yes to all things stewed, fished and comfort food delivered!

Food was great but the menus are hard to read,
Didn't know they had specials on drinks until I inquired about it to a server who wasn't even our server.
I was still hungry after eating my meal, and the prices are pretty expensive, especially considering the amount of food you get, I had a burger with a chicken Caesar salad, and was still starving after I ate it, the price of that was 21$ and it was only a 6 ounce burger. Not to impressed with that, considering it is suppose to be a pub. I could of went to the keg and got a steak with 2 sides for 3$ more.
I will nit be going back there anytime soon that is for sure.

Great breakfast.second time there for it. Breakfast poutine is the bomb.according to my daughter and grandson.

Only had a beverage but plan to go back for their freshly beer battered fish & chips. What we saw delivered to diners looked delicious!

I had a business lunch meeting here. The clients I met with selected this restaurant.

The food was fantastic. I'm still thinking about the beef vegetable soup and baked brie. The soup was outstanding. The flavour was so impressive that I'm still thinking about it. I'd make the 90 min drive back to the area just to get more. The baked brie was an outstanding starter dish. The jam it is served with is unbelievable.

The ambiance was unique and warm. Quite frankly, I ended up changing my lodging that evening so I could return for dinner and drinks on my own. Great patrons and a truly impressive owner - this guy was salt of the earth fantastic. It was easy to see that he had great passion for creating a wonderful experience for his patrons. His treatment and care for his staff is both professionally and personally positive from what I could see. He had multiple family members working with him and the patrons new them all personally.

Honestly, I had an instant reaction of comfort. I felt like I was invited into someone's home who puts their heart into the meal they carefully create for their friends who visit. I loved the entire experience. Awesome place.

We were a party of about 30 tonight, wedding party, they got us all in and fed and the food was amazing! 10/10 recommend the Queen Lizzy chicken sandwich! Will definitely be back!

Food was good but service was a little slow, normally this doesnt bother me but I had my 5 year old son with me so patience is still something he is learning.

Love the atmosphere. Lakedield is a great little town with lots to offer. Usually a great place to eat. Was a bit disappointed this last visit as my wife and I ordered the fish and chip "special. " Advertised as $5 off but really it was just a smaller portion of the normal dinner size. A bit false on my opinion. Still good food though

A wonderful neighbourhood fixture. The selection at the bar is extensive and the food is delicious. A proper pub! The weekly entertainment is great and the staff are awesome!

Working in Lakefield for the week and had lunch here three separate times. First time ordered something which they couldnt make because they ran out of something. Was disappointed but the alternative I ordered was good. I have had the toad ina hole, beef and mushroom pie, and the dirty bird sandwich. All were very good. The warm potato salad is awesome served with peas. Service was excellent as well.

Woooooow this place is amazing! The interior is pretty nice and super clean! Perfect spot for some lunch if you're in town or on the way home from camping! We got the Dirty Bird chicken sandwich omg is was soo damn delicious! Was enjoyable. The service was good, and the food was good. Drinks were a reasonable price. If you are in the area I'd suggest going.

Service was a little slow, and any restaurant that charges extra for hot sauce when you order what is supposed to be a spicy meal is in my opinion just ripping customers off.
But otherwise meals were good size portions for price.
