I have recorded in many studios on 3 continents. Canterbury remains one of my favorites for getting great tracks in a relaxed atmosphere, with a wide selection of vintage mics, my favorite working Neve console, and many good eats in the neighborhood. Free parking is also a huge plus.

I have been assisting here since January 2023, and I can say with full confidence that this place is the best place to record a live album. Julian and Jeremy are committed to making this the most affordable and practical place to record an album: 4 isolation booths, super down-to-earth environment, and a unique gear collection with equipment you won't find anywhere else; with the expert knowledge to use it to its full extent. As one of the last studios in Toronto that is dedicated to the vulnerability of the artistic process, this studio should be the rule of thumb on any artist's list!
