The two-and-a-half-year-old Border Collie had poor obedience and was timid and sensitive. After several lessons, his obedience improved significantly. Currently taking Group courses, I can interact with more dogs while learning. I am very happy to take my dog ​​for training here.

Captain K9 Captain is the best. My two years old very timid and very alert dog just had one session classes to train her not pull on the leash and jumping on other dogs. Sam is amazing young trainer, very professional and full of great patience. Really excellent trainers! I learned so much in just a few lessons and they were really good at handling and solving the problematic behaviours that my puppy had.

Sam is a very nice and knowledgeable teacher. My 1 year old rottweiler was very friendly but reactive towards both human and dogs. He is a huge 100lbs dog and it is dangerous when he pulls. The methodology CaptainK9 used not just help me to solve the problems, it also help me improve my relationship with my dog (he used to growl at me when he was in bad mood). Now I can take him out very easily and he can greet people and dogs without lunging to them. Again, I really appreciate what Sam taught me and he is also fluent in Cantonese or Mandarin!

Brought my dog Husky Mix to CaptainK9 for boarding and training. Was amazing he didn’t bark at all when we picked him and he became so well behaved. We have ordered raw food for our dogs for the past two years. They really carry the best raw food I know in Ontario with whole lots of different variety of mixes. I have to give them a five stars today because my dogs are out of food today and I called Kevin and told him it’s bit urgent. He delivered right at my door few hours after.

Only been here a few times for the raw dog food since I don't live nearby, but love the atmosphere of the store here. Great prices for great variety of meals and bones, my dogs do well on them. Owner Kevin seems like a good dude and easy going, he spent a good chunk of time explaining to me some of the training they offered and his experience. Honestly, can't wait for the opportunity to come train here with my dogs if I ever move closer to here.

I recommend Sam for teaching puppies. My puppy Montaigne is a 4 month Doberman Pinscher. Now Montaigne is able to regularly urination and defecation outdoor and became more obedient and understandable. Must support Captain K9 as well as Ms. Sam!

Before coming to captain k9 my german shepherd used to always bark and tried to rush at other dogs across the street. This made us feel uncomfortable and awkward. After training with Kevin for a few sessions, my dog can now walk calmly next to another dog which is incredible. Recently we had to go on vacation but no boarding places would take her after meeting her. Luckily Kevin helped us. While my dog was boarding she destroy the cage and was very defensive.one of the staff stayed with my dog all night so that my dog could stay calm. Thank you Kevin and your workers for such great flexibility and patience which made my dog's first boarding experience great and amazing.

After being told our young dog should be put down for behaviour issues by one “so-called certified behaviourist” and paying over $300 for this “professional assessment” we felt horrified. I went in with a hyper husky who does not pay attention and listen and always eager to jump. Henry’s training was extraordinary and in 5 classes made our energetic dog clam and gentle with his owners and other dogs. He now listens to us and knows what not to do. Thank you Henry.

If you're looking for training in the Scarborough area, look no further. We have a 1.5 year old Great Pyrenees who was anxious/reactive to people and other dogs where she would bark and lunge at them to scare them away. She would also pull and wouldn't stay on one side during walks.

It's been almost a month since finishing our training with Henry and she has grown more confident, where she heels nicely and is getting more desensitized and tolerant to other people and dogs.

Henry and the staff at Captain K9 deeply care about dogs and it shows in their training and store. Henry tailors and personalizes his training depending on the owners and dogs. He has given us the foundation to help us guide our dog into the best and happy girl she can be.

We drove from New York to Canada to drop off our dog for boarding and training last year because our friend in Toronto told us that Kevin was an amazing trainer. Our dog had aggression issues, so we tried different daycares here in NYC. They couldn't help us. Long story short, we couldn’t believe how much our dog transformed after Kevin's training. It's been months now, our dog Tarzan is still well behaved. As a matter of fact, daycare staffers here have told us that Tarzan is like a completely different dog. I wish we could find a trainer like Kevin here in NYC.

Came to CaptainK9 after our dog started developing some distressing reactive behaviour. We had tried the Petsmart route, but it was largely useless, and left us to figure out things on our own. CaptainK9 was the complete opposite. Our 1 on 1 training sessions led by Henry were super involved and helped us practice crucial skills from day one.

Within one lesson, Henry was able to make noticeable progress with our dog. After 6 sessions (plus a free session Henry threw in) our dog's reactive behaviour is a thing of the past. Henry was courteous, funny, and flexible to the needs of our dog. I can't overstate how worthwhile the training was. Definitely considering coming back for advanced training!

The training class has been helpful on our young puppy, grooming services is highly recommended! They are also the best food supplier in town, worth to try.

I have a 1 year old Japanese Spitz and he had very bad aggression and extremely reactive to other dogs and humans. Before coming to CaptainK9, I had a different trainer and it did not work for me because the trainer required me to be very dominant towards my dog which was not my style and it did not work on my dog as well.

When I came to see Kevin, he really took the time to explain to me why my dog became this way and what we needed to do to fix his behaviour. I only did 4 classes with Kevin in shortly 1 month and can already see a huge change from my dog. He doesn't bark and lunge at other people or dogs anymore.

Kevin did a great job on teaching me on how to handle my dog and communicate with him so we can have stress free walks. Not only does he teach you what you need to do to improve your dog but he tells you the logic behind it so you understand and build a better relationship with you dog.

All the staff at CaptainK9 are super nice, helpful and professional. You can tell they really care about each dog and their well being. Highly recommend!

I trained my German shepherd with Kevin, and it was awesome!
my dog had a lot of fun while learning, and I also learned a lot about dogs' behavior, Kevin always makes it easy and fun to learn.they also have great onboard training. My dog used to be leash reactive and I was having a really hard time walking him, after onboard training with Kevin, now he walks like an angel.
Last but not least, my dog loves their raw frozen food, they have all types of choices.

Super friendly staff and amazing trainers shortly after we completed our training here my dog almost fought 2 raccoons but because the intense obedience training she did, she broke focus and came back with one heel saved us from a trip to the vet

Had an amazing experience here with our trainer Natalie! We came in with our 7 month shiba inu who had lots of problem with leash tugging. Within the first lesson, she was already showing signs of improvement. Natalie is without a doubt one of the most kindest, hilarious and patient dog trainers out there. Her ability to not only train dogs, but to create a bond with them, and care for them as if they were her own made the training sessions so enjoyable. Their dehydrated beef treats are heaven to our puppy. She goes crazy just by the scent of them! Overall, this was such a lovely experience, I would definitely recommend this training site to anyone with a new puppy. (p.s she IS the shiba sensei)

Just finished basic puppy training sessions with Kevin. Such a great experience! Kevin is super knowledgeable about dog behaviours with 17 yrs field experience. His explanation is very easy to understand and to follow. Also Kevin definitely has good sense of humour which makes the class so enjoyable. The raw food and air dried treats are also high quality and my puppy loves them. Will absolutely go back again for the amazing trainings and food resocking ️️️
