Very rude slow and uneducated staff. Even if you have an appointment, expect to only get called into room 45 min to an hour after your appointment was supposed to start. Then wait another 45 min till doctor arrives horrible

Small hospital with limited resources, patients with serious issues are usually stabilized then sent to major hospitals in Ottawa, but staff are great and doctors excellent at their jobs. Wait times can be very long.

I have been to this hospital several times over the years with both my girls and for myself. The wait time can be terrible when busy but they do the best they can and we've always been treated with respect and compassion. The amount of times I have seen/heard patients be rude and angry to the staff is pretty disappointing. Health care workers are not the ones responsible for the dismal state of our health care system.

Being concerned about a fever and the presence of small brown specks in my spit when coughing, I decided to seek medical attention at your facility. From the moment I arrived, I was met with professionalism, efficiency, and kindness that put me at ease.

The promptness with which I was seen was impressive; I spent less than 10 minutes in the examining room before being attended to by a nurse. Despite a brief wait during registration due to my recent move, it was a minor inconvenience considering the quality of care I received.

Though I waited for about 2 hours to see a doctor, the wait was well worth it. The doctor who attended to me displayed a remarkable level of attentiveness and compassion. He listened carefully to my concerns and asked insightful follow-up questions, putting my worries at ease.

The doctor's decision to send me for a chest x-ray to rule out any infections was a reassuring step, and I was pleasantly surprised by the swiftness of the process. The x-ray assistant's kindness and efficiency contributed to my overall positive experience.

Throughout the consultation, I never once felt rushed. He gave me his undivided attention, answered my questions patiently, and ensured that I left with a clear understanding of my health.

I want to thank the x-ray team for their kind assistance and the doctor for their commitment to my well-being. This experience reinforced my confidence in the healthcare system, and I'm genuinely thankful for the outstanding care!

I brought my pregnant sister for an emergency on the 9 of July 2023 arround 1: 20 am ; the nurse was so far from being a human being ; so rude ; very disrespectful and unprofessional ; while my sister was suffering she was taking her sweet time asking us why we haven't went to a different hospitals and made it sound like we're unwelcome there + she rudely refused when we asked her if the patient can have some water.

Believe me when I say people who are leaving bad reviews are not being dramatic! Obviously the good reviews where treated by the few good staff here. I am a mum of an adult child and I have seen from triage to the emergency doctor biraid, her, yell at her and dismiss her pain. They make it clear that people coming in for help are a bother to the staff. People are in pain, scared and feeling vulnerable knowing if they try to advocate for themselves, it will do no good because the staff have all the power. These people should be ashamed of themselves. I truly do not know how they sleep at night. It is the staff, including the doctors who have broken our healthcare system.

I came to the ER today 5 minutes ago and I am now sitting in my car crying. I have spent the last 2-3 hours at a clinic and they refused to help me since they only deal with ONE ISSUE PER PATIENT! I was then told to go to the ER since I don’t have a family doctor and I am currently on a 6 year waiting list for one. I barely get into the ER and a nurse starts questioning me on why I’m there, and won’t even check me into the ER. She told me to go back to the clinic even after I explained they told me to go here, she then asked what was wrong and proceeded to question me and even suggested I was lying, all WITHOUT checking me in. I didn’t catch her name however she is tall, long blonde hair, and has many ear piercings. She was incredibly rude and should not be working In the triage/ER department where people are coming in scared, vulnerable, hurt, and overwhelmed. The looks her co-workers gave her as well whenever she was question me was awful, it seems apparent everyone is having issues. I am sure the others were great, she genuinely disgusted me by her rudeness, lack of care, and compassion. Find a different profession, you aren’t fit to be a nurse.

This is the worst hospital I’ve ever been to. I understand wait times and expect to wait if I’m there for something serious but not critical. Adequate triage procedures are not followed, nurses are abrasive, serious concerns I had about changes in my condition were brushed off and it was intimated that I was trying to “skip the line”, medical care was compromised because nurses failed to provide proper standards of care, vitals monitoring was not done where indicated, allergies on my chart were ignored resulting in hives from adhesive, reported pain levels were brushed off and (this is what really makes me furious) there was passive aggressive suggestion that I was drug seeking. I am used to advocating for myself (not as in being a Karen, but in reasonably requesting or pushing for what I know is important) because I’ve had to do lots of navigation in the healthcare system, and this was ABSOLUTELY the worst I’ve even been made to feel. I left feeling like I was labeled an exaggerator, a line jumper, and a drug seeker when the problem was not me, but the nurses who brought jaded and compassionless attitudes into a place where people are in pain and afraid and need assurance and competence. Also a bonus- triage is done in an open room without closing the door, so everyone can hear your whole medical history. Pretty big privacy violation. But it’s also how I know that standards are care are not evenly applied to people and that biases and other things are at play- someone reporting the exact same symptoms as me was taken seriously and brought in for assessment immediately. Fortunately, the more serious possibility for my symptoms was not the culprit, so that was a relief. But it still stands that, had it been the more serious scenario, and had I not been my own advocate, that there could have been a very poor or even life-threatening outcome. This hospital needs to review its privacy violations, its staffing standards, and its assessment procedures and consistencies. Shame on you.

Visits = 3
Dr's seen = 0
Time wasted per visit before going elsewhere = ~3hrs
After three visits, I have yet to see a single patient in the waiting room recieve care. Looks like a hospital, acts like the morgue

Impossible to reach anyone on the phone. Medical records state their hours on their voicemail and despite calling repeatedly over 2 days during their office hours, no one answers. Left voicemails, with no reply. I work in a dental office- this type of service would NEVER be tolerated by patients, they would change dentists. But it seems it’s not only accepted, it’s expected within our health care system. Atrocious what we have become accustomed to. Shameful

The biggest heart from staff and doctors who really care … thank you so much for your kindness. I’m grateful to have such a caring and amazing hospital care

Had a very bad experience. Waited more than 1 hour only for taking supervisor’s opinion about my situation. In other words they made the room occupied by me for hours while other patients were waiting outside.

Went in today with a possible broken thumb. From the welcoming nurse to registration to being seen by a doctor, the care I received was exceptional. Sent to X-rays immediately and Doctor had the images as soon as I saw the Doctor. Thank you to all at CPMDH.

Carleton Place Hospital is better than Kemptville. My wait time was only a half hour wait, and im just waiting a little bit to see the doctor. There were only 2 people ahead of me. Perfect. 5 rating.

It’s nice to have a local hospital but this hospital is small and has too much old dated equipment. There needs to be some more funding for expansion and updated equipment.
