The veterinarian and the staff were amazing. I have 2 animals and I take them there. I've got to go anywhere else.

Dr McEwan has been more than helpful with my german shepherd dog. She has gone above and behind by continuing to help our dog. I truly wish there were more doctors like her. Thank you for being a nice person.

Very good experience there! The entire team is fantastic, knowledgeable and compassionate. My cats aren't super thrilled (are they ever?) but I am. The vets take great care with them. The vet techs are awesome as well

Dr Janice was amazing, took the time to explain things, didn’t feel rushed at all. It was nice to feel we mattered instead of feeling like we just needed to hurry.

Dr. Cote has been caring for Chica since she was a puppy (Chica not Dr. Cote.lol). Chica is now 7. Dr. Cote has always offered knowledgeable advice and is truly a caring and highly competent veterinarian. The process was easy and on time. I appreciated the friendly personal connections with those I encountered.

Dr. MacEwan is the best! Not over-priced at all. Very affordable with sound holistic advice. So glad to have found her and this little hospital.

Dr. Ann McEwan was as kind, gentle and knowledgable as I remembered her when my Pip was a pup fourteen years ago. Excellent place to take your pet. I was able to get an appointment within 3 days for a non urgent matter. The staff are extremely kind and courteous as well as take the time to answer any questions with the utmost patience. Highly recommend.

I've been taking our dogs to CP Vet Hospital since moving to Carleton Place 10 years ago. We've seen probably all the vets on staff over the years at one point or another and they have all been great in their own way. We see Dr Bruce Wright as our regular vet. His interaction with the dogs is very special.

I’ve been taking my pup Goku here for a year now and this place is very friendly! He was neutered yesterday and laid in bed with me all night, thank you for taking care of my boy!

Dr Bruce Wright is a wonderful and caring vet. You can tell he's definitely dog person. He constantly talks to the dogs and pets them while examining to lessen their anxiety.

Great clinic! We live in Ottawa Centre and happily drive out to Carleton Place for this clinic. Staff is always helpful over the phone and so kind in person as well. My dog actually enjoys going to the vet because it’s always such a pleasant experience with the crew at the Carleton Place Vet Hospital. It’s also significantly cheaper than anything I could find in the city with no compromise of the care my pup receives. Dr. Anne McEwan is fantastic and always very professional and personable! I would definitely recommended!

Met with Dr Ann McEwan for my 2 boys (Australian Shepard’s) first health check with a homeopathic doctor, and I have to say it was the best experience, I learned while listening to Dr. McEwan speak as she evaluated my boys, she is a wealth of knowledge paid attention to me and both my dogs, and observed their every move. I felt very relaxed and not rushed like I was on a clock. Looking forward to my journey into a more holistic approach to my dogs health.

Fantastic service! My 12yr old lab, Zeus, suffers from random seizures without a cause and he's been basically dismissed by most vets as a lost cause, despite having great energy and soul for his age. With Carleton Place Vet Hospital, it was the first time since the beginning of this nightmare that I felt I was listened to, and not just given hope but REAL solutions. Zeus was super comfortable with the vet and Dr McEwan was a breath of fresh air, a fantastic listener and full of knowledge. We are excited to see where Zeus' health journey takes him next, knowing we have Dr. McEwan's professionalism and support behind us!

We went there for almost 10 years with our sweet Great Dane and they were incredible from the day we got her to the day we had to say goodbye. After moving here we tried two different veterinary clinics, about 5 years each and were not totally satisfied. For us the drive was further to try the Carleton Place Vet, but it has been well worth it. After 5 years with them, we will never switch again.
With every interaction you know that your pet's wellbeing is the priority. During an appointment I always feel heard and never rushed. All questions are comprehensively answered, every examination is thorough, and I appreciate the explanation that accompanies it. When there's a health issue, we always receive a follow up phone call. The staff is knowledgeable and helpful and that fosters trust. I strongly believe that recommendations made, that we followed, led to our girl living longer and having a better quality of life.
Until going there I'd never heard of a blood test that checks titre levels. Very important information to have, so that you don't consent to needless vaccinations.
Everyone is friendly and when you walk through their door, you feel welcomed.

Veterinary care is generally very expensive, but their prices are reasonable, and in line with reality.

The staff is friendly, professional, and caring, and while I am not familier with all of the Vets, Dr Wright is something of a cat whisperer (and has had considerably more than the 5 years experience listed on the website).

I, and my house full of Special Needs and "Unadoptable" cats, highly recommend them.

Only place my pup is happy to visit. They make sure all questions are answered and the staff is all very friendly

Fabulous vet hospital, wonderful vets, great techs, great team in front keeping everyone organized. Caring, compassionate, skilled. I’ve been through a number of vet hospitals over the years. Many of them exemplary, but Carleton Place Vet hospital still stands out for the extra time and service and help they provide. They really go out off their way for their clients, and are incredibly patient with their client’s owners as well. Watch Dr. Wright comfort a sick cat or flirt with a healthy one, have Dr. Nunn take far more time with you and your sick cat than she really should, hear about people driving miles out of their way just to bring their pet in to see Dr. McEwen. And the techs who will patiently answer your questions by phone. Jane and now Brodie up at the front to greet you. Wish I could thank everyone by name individually. An amazing team.

First time there today and they were very professional. Dr. Bruce is an funmy character but absolutely great and felt like he was trustworthy. He didn't pressure me into anything but did share his suggestions. Will continue to visit this clinic.

Since the very first visit I've had great experience with the veterinary hospital. Dr. Deborah was the one taking care of both my dogs and she is extremely knowledgeable. Once or twice I was greeted by a secretary that was not so frindly, I mean, she was rude in the interaction with me and others, but it became nothing compared to the excelent treatment I had with the veterinary. So, I just let it go.
Also, they melt my heart when I recieved a condolences card about my older dog passing away. It was so thoughtful and kind.

Dr. Bruce is terrific. Great with the dogs and takes the time to explain everything that he is doing and suggests the best course of treatment.

CP Vet is excellent, Dr Wright and Dr Nunn are both fantastic as are all the support staff at the clinic.

My experience with Ann was just absolutely wonderful. She took so much time to investigate and find solutions for our cat with behavioural issues. She was super receptive to each of his daily behaviours and showed utmost care for our little guy. I strongly recommend Ann for your next appointment!

I have nothing but praise for this Hospital! From the Veterinarians to the Technicians to the Staff, OUTSTANDING is the word that I would use to best describe them! One of our fur babies had been sick for quite some time and finally, it was the Carleton Place Vet Hospital that found out why and turned our boy (who everyone thought was an old dog) into the playful, spirited soul! It was like he was reborn! They never give up, have compassion oozing out of them and explain things in a clear manner.

I have had experience with different vet clinics from coast to coast and this clinic is by far the best!
